Before we met friends in The Raven Pub to celebrate a friends birthday my twin brother Stephen and I decided to drop into The Black Bull Pub and what a nice visit we had. A good old fashioned boozer ,multi roomed ,big screens to enjoy the sport ,an island styled serving bar ,pubby decor and furnishings and lots of seating options ,it's a great pub to chill out in. We were here on a Thursday afternoon ,we ordered a Carling lager each ,served chilled ,we grabbed a table were we looked forward to the night ahead while we sipped our lagers. Not my normal tipple ,more a real ale or craft beer fan myself but this lager was really tasty ,light and hoppy and freezing cold ,just what we needed to cut through the thirst. We really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. The Black Bull Pub is easy to locate along Warbreck Moor . Opening hours are ; Monday to Sunday,10am till 11pm. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

Prime Minister Boris laid out the roadmap out of the pandemic for the hospitality sector with pubs being allowed to reopen on the 12th of April with outside service only and from the 17th of May inside and outside service allowed and by June 21st more or less back to normality so it will be great to visit pubs such as The Black Bull Pub ,a pub I always enjoy visiting. Food is fine. Service fine but it's a great pub and the quiz has to be the best in Liverpool. Highly recommend

6pm on a Saturday & the place had 11 customers, 9 just having coffee/tea. We stopped in for a snack. Staff were friendly enough. Fish finger butty, bowl of fries, a tea & a pint of brew dog. £27. The butty was the biggest disappointment. Thin white bread as if from a supermarket budget sliced loaf and over toasted. The 'fish fingers' were very dry & and overdone, like chewing on Gandhi's flip flop. Only 3 brew dog beers on tap, rest in bottles. Two, single toilets (one a baby changing area) which I think would be an issue if the place were near full. Food was overpriced & poor. Wasn't a good visit in summary.
