He notado un par de críticas criticando el servicio. Tengo que decir que el servicio nos pareció absolutamente excelente. Decidimos probar este lugar ya que no habíamos comido italiano durante bastante tiempo. Después de un par de copas en el pueblo de West Derby caminamos hasta Amo con la esperanza de que tenían una mesa de sobra. A la llegada nos mostraron rápidamente a una mesa y nos presentaron menús. Mi esposa decidió ir por los calamares y yo tenía los hongos de ajo. Los champiñones se presentaron en tostadas y estaban deliciosos. Mi esposa describió los calamares como los mejores que ha tenido. Ambos fuimos a por vieiras en risotto con panceta, que de nuevo fue excelente. De postre, mi esposa tenía la tabla de quesos que disfrutaba, pero aunque había una buena selección de quesos, ella pensó que podría hacer con más galletas y le sobraron muchos quesos. Mi tarta de queso estaba muy sabrosa, pero la base estaba un poco empapada. En general fue una excelente experiencia a un precio muy razonable y sin duda volveremos.

Fui anoche con la familia por primera vez. Todos teníamos una variedad de pasta, pizza y platos de marisco. Todo encantador. Ambiente y ambiente fabuloso. Cómodos asientos. Gran servicio. Regresaremos.

Delicious Chicken wraps and salt n pepper chips !

Positives: The pancetta scallops risotto was INSANE. It melted in the mouth, was savoury and cooked to perfection. Staff incredible. Really welcoming and helpful. I asked for salads for takeaway for my night shift and they were very accommodating. Negatives: From the Google reviews and pictures, it's not clear that this place serves breakfast throughout the day, and then switches to an Italian restaurant in the evening, but to their credit their menus make this clear. They fell short on their Burrata Bruschetta on the specials menu which was just a piece of toast with Burrata placed on top, with the tomatoes not finely shopped and barely seasoned, definitely needed balsamic vinegar. But I would happily go back for the service and risotto anyday :)

Been many times but today was not a great visit, food order was very slow, think it was forgotten as other who came in after us were served 1st. The waiter came back and asked what we had ordered after about 20 mins, we ordered halloumi fries, they didnt arrive. Daughters chicken wrap had a bone in it, so was unsure about eating second half as it had put her off it and my cold slaw had a hair in it. They did remove the price of wrap from the bill. Would have complained to manager but she was always on the phone carrying out business within the cafe, not very professional

La ambulancia de este restaurante te lleva a Italia en sí y seguramente deben tener un italiano nativo como su chef 🇮🇹 - la comida era excepcional👌Éramos una fiesta de 6 y todos pedimos diferentes comidas del menú de la noche y ninguno de nosotros estaba decepcionado. Hacen una oferta especial cada noche encima del menú normal, así que asegúrese de preguntar. El servicio era de primera clase y el propietario era muy atento, a menudo llamando a nuestra mesa para comprobar que todo estaba bien. No tenían preocupaciones, qué velada tan perfecta. Supposedly open, says walk ins welcome but can't actually walk in when it's closed

I had a full english breakfast which was very appetising, my friend had the egg benedict and she said it was the best she's ever had. Staff are lovely and welcoming & we did not wait long for our food.

Went out for a long walk from Croxteth Park with my foster son. We ended up in West Derby village. We were a little peckish, spotted a table outside as my foster son had his bike with him. We had 2 beautiful bacon sandwiches, large latte and a coke. Prices were to be expected for good quality food and drinks. Service was really good and looked after us well outside.

Been here lots of times with friends, I love it, staff are lovely & friendly and if needed they are ready to help, the manager is lovely and always friendly. The food is fabulous & the salt an pepper chicken with salad *which is what I always get* is absolutely 💯 gorgeous, already planning 2 more visits for this month.

Tried this place last week and the food was amazing - definitely recommend it

We have been to Amo many times however this time we were not satisfied with tge meal. The spaghetti bolognaire hardly had any mine or tomatoes in it and it was bland. The lasagne was different from tge last one and not as tasty?

We've been going to Amo for a while and the food is nice; there's no issue here. When it first opened, it was better, but never a top drawer venue with regards to attention to detail or 'the extra mile', just nice. In the past 18 months, we've witnessed this restaurant go downhill steeply. The staff simply don't care about the customers; you are made to feel like an inconvenience. The young guy with dark hair and moustache is simply the single most dull, emotionless, uninviting man you could meet and he simply does not want to be there, or he gets a kick out of treating people like crap. We've literally had menus slid across the table, sauces banged down on the table, very rarely get a please or thank you and he looks at you with such disdain, I'm surprised the milk doesn't turn sour in my tea. We have tried on so many occasions now, as the food really is nice, but that guy is the only reason we will not be back. You need to get rid of him as he's losing you customers. I've spoken to other people on facebook groups and local friendship groups and many will no longer go to Amo, because of the service. You need to sort this out or you are going to be yet another business going under.

Waited ages for our meals which would have taken max 10 mins to prepare. I thought they had gone to catch the chicken to get the eggs they took that long. Asked for extra beverage that took ages so had to ask again, also had to ask for the bill twice. Very disappointed with the service. This was meant to be a birthday treat for my friend i was very embarrassed as it wasnt what i expected at all.

Booked a ticket for a medium night with friends, absolutely fabulous as always. Food was fabulous, the company was great and the service was amazing. Our waitress Jess tended to our every need and the owner was actually helping clearing the tables. Great night great food and Jess you are a star ⭐.

Went here for birthday lunch. Haven't been for a while and was disappointed. Had avocado and spinach ciabiatta with bacon. Ciabiatta was not very fresh and spinach had seen better days. Hubby had goats cheese and relish which was ok but again salad wasn't very healthy. Relish made goats cheese soggy so wasn't a pleasant experience. Shame as used to go here a lot but certainly has lost its sparkle. Service was friendly.

Only complaint I could make was the overpriced starter. £11 for 3 scallops some small cubes of black pudding and a bit of salad. For that price I would of expected a little more.

Went for lunch here today to meet to friends. Had goats cheese salad - - very poor - put something in my mouth that felt like slime. Asked waitroowhat it was and she said she didn’t know. Still charged me for it. Went home and looked at menu again and apparently it was onion relish - absolutely no flavour and if it was on menu waitrss could have told me what it was. Won’t go here again

Can for food with the mrs for her birthday she was blown away by the lasange quoted best she’s ever had’ will be back for sure

The coffees are always lovely, even when you take away. The lunch menu is really nice I really enjoyed the salt and pepper wrap but the breakfast, pancakes have often come burnt or with only small amounts of toppings.

Absolutely Gorgeous food. My husband and son first visited Amo Trattoria for a meal over Christmas. They really enjoyed it and said it was lovely. Last week was my first visit, and definitely not my last. We have been for breakfast 2 Saturdays on the run. My husband has the full English breakfast. I have the skinny breakfast with 2 poached eggs (which were done to perfection and couldn’t taste vinegar like another place we’ve been to). It’s a busy little restaurant and everything is cooked fresh to order so sometimes there can be a little wait for your food, which isn’t a problem as it’s worth the wait. Upon reading the menu, the restaurant also does brunch and evening meals, including bottomless brunch which we are planning to try. Look forward to our next visit very soon 😃😃

Brought my grandma in for lunch today. Service was amazing the staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Very accommodating and the food was excellent. Would 100% recommend

As i review and give the honest answer for a review this has been one of the worst experiences iv had in a restaurant coming after McDonalds First of all service was absolutely shocking. Not enough Tables for people, was waiting 5 mins for a table as they push tables together for 3 people. After the pain staking wait to be sat down. We had to wait 15 mins for menus to the fact we had to ask as other people behind us got their menus before us so we had to ask which we shouldn’t have to ask. One lady was lovely but all the younger workers need a face lift as they look like they don’t want to be here so that throws service with a smile out the window. Then after waiting around for another 15 mins while everyone else was getting their orders, we were still waiting even though two younger workers walk past and saw us ready to order but ignored us. Staff looked like they didn’t know what they were doing. The Fact they had no one was in the front area to maintain the line was shocking. Some guy came in with his kid and a couple came in behind and just sat down while the guy was waiting so the women said no more tables even thought the guy was here first and they wouldn’t tell the couple to leave. Drinks arrived after 42 minutes with no sign of our food. Also people just sitting at a table after they paid and had their food just talking why people are waiting to be sat down. 1 hour and 5 minutes after we arrived, our food finally came. We were given no cutlery or even asked if we wanted sauce or salt etc. A table that came in 40 minutes after us, got their food straight after and were asked if they wanted condiments and had knives and forks. I feel like it was us they did not like. One of the worst run restaurants in west derby.

Starter was great ( prawns ) but main meal was so bland ( penne pasta with sausage. ) My friend risotto was like rice pudding . There is absolutely no atmosphere - bright overhead lighting , no table cloths or candles , no appropriate music . No offer of extra Parmesan . Could so easily be improved.

The food was just ok. The service was very slow with staff standing and chatting rather than serving drinks and food. More importantly the place needs a very deep clean. Definitely gone downhill from our previous visit.

Lovely food but poor Customer Service - visited Wednesday afternoon, waited forever for our coffees, delivered cake before the beverages which was eaten before they arrived. Tried to attract attention of waitress numerous times to obtain the bill but purposely avoided eye contact, when brought to attention of waiter that we were not happy with the service received there was no apology given apart from saying ‘we were busy’. Will definitely not visit again!

Been several times both for evening meal and breakfast, both lovely. Staff are friendly. Only slight criticism is that it can lack atmosphere and cleanliness could be improved. Tables were sticky and restaurant looked dusty. However, the food and service are great so would still recommend.

We didn't have to book. I ordered a Southern Fried chicken salad and a garlic bread my partner had a vegetarian dish. We did have a little bit of a wait. There wasn't much to the rocket salad but the salad dressing was spot on and 4 southern fried chicken pieces. The chicken was a little bit over cooked making it dry. The seasoning to the chicken was good. Without the delicious garlic bread I would have still been hungry. Not that I expect a salad to fill you but I did expect a bit more of it. My partner enjoyed her vegetarian dish.

Went for breakfast, absolutely gorgeous. Everything was fresh and piping hot. The service was amazing the staff are so attentive, have been a few times and it's definitely worth a visit.

Sausage was Uncooked and cold , when questioned they responded with … it was cooked as we pre cook them earlier . It was raw

If you have a good book to read while you wait for your order, this is the place, food very average and expensive

An evening meal with my partner the food and service were excellent and the staff made us feel so welcome. The cocktails and wine we had to accompany our meals were fantastic and the bill for it all was very reasonable, we’ll definitely be revisiting

Amazing staff & the food was great. Well, worthwhile a visit! Only wish the lights were dimmed for a better atmosphere. It was too light for me and not got that dinner experience.

Breakfasts are really 1 of the best ive had. Evening Italian is not the best tbh but the cocktails make up for it, they really are delicious. Service is just ok. Atmosphere is what you make of it and the company your with I suppose.

Great place to go with my Mum and Sister for a catch up with cousins and a Auntie for a pre Christmas lunch, the food and drink was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent too. The atmosphere was lovely and it was a great little place situated in West Derby Village I had a salt and pepper chicken wrap with lettuce and coleslaw and a handful of salted Doritos along with some salt and pepper fries, I also had two ginger ales and a Jameson liqueur coffee to finish.

Lovely place to eat, staff are brilliant, plenty of options if you're gluten free, know lots of people who have eaten here before and they're always up for going back, highly recommend,

I went with my two kids after a music lesson for there tea , we had not booked a table so walked in on the off chance , we were warmly welcomed and seated in the front of the restaurant , the kids ordered the lasagne each with garlic bread and cheese to start . I went for the chicken Parmesan , The bread soon arrived which I must say was delicious , melted cheese and the garlic butter was superb , The lasagna soon arrived which was generous in portion and the kids loved it , My chicken parmassna arrived which was Like something I have never tasted before and really enjoyed . The only sad not was we had no room for dessert ! On the whole it was such an enjoyable meal ,which I know we will be back soon to enjoy again .

Food was nice, but didn't have the salmon for the pasta dish ordered. But was told once food was cooked. Slipped on oil near bar/step area and head waitress said, no harm done! Young waitress said a few people had complained it was slippy! No compassion and no ge uine apology. Knee swollen and bruised fir 2 weeks after!

Just been for breakfast ahead of a trip to Croxteth Park and it was fabulous! The place was busy (which is always a good sign!) but the owner made time to come and welcome us and talk through the menu, and we didn’t have a long wait which was ideal as we have a fussy two year old! Our food was so good, we’d read reviews before we came and knew it was highly rated but now we understand why!! The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, the staff are attentive and the prices are really reasonable for the quality. Can’t wait to come back 😀

We love eating here and visit a couple of times a month. The owner is so friendly and welcoming - the place is always busy but she makes time for everybody and the food is amazing without a long wait. We often come for breakfast and then a walk around Croxteth Park which is just down the road for a lovely day out.

Went in the other day with my family, had the ox cheek ragu- it was to die for!! My sister had the carbonara and it was honestly one of a kind. The staff was lovely did everything to accommodate for us. The atmosphere was calm and cozy, I’ve never been in the evening before and it’s really a hidden gem! Will be back!

Completely forgot about this hidden gem, we haven't been for a while and can't understand why. The food was amazing, the cocktails to die for and the staff couldn't do enough for us. We certainly won't be leaving it to long before we visit again.

It is not are first visit to ‘AMO’ and it definitely won’t be are last,the service is absolutely second to none,food is as good as any Italian restaurant we have been in,the atmosphere is so chilled the prices are certainly not expensive for drinks,we had two pizzas[1 calzone]it was perfect good as any Naples pizza,the wine was chilled and the bar was stacked with a great choice of cocktail,I could go on and on,the only way is to try for yourself you will not be disappointed it it well worth a try if visiting Liverpool or west derby…..we’ll done AMO delicious meal 👍👍
