Khans Takeaway in Liverpool

The best food always from Khans. Never been disappointed.

I usually have no issues with this takeaway but I wanted to try something different so ordered the chicken tikka Bombay curry, I put the curry out and then realised it said bhuna on the lid. The Bombay was supposed to have potatoes and an omelette and supposed to be spicy. I went and checked the menu and bhuna is supposed to be a spicy curry too but what I received had no spice at all and it was quite cold. The rice and naan were hot though, Peshawari naan is lovely from this restaurant.

Lovely lovely curry once again. I clicked the “collect” option by mistake but it wasn’t a problem, my food got promptly delivered. Thank you Khans.

not had a khans for a number of months but it's definitely changed. food was warm but not hot, quite tasteless and certainly not the quality that I last ordered around 8 months ago, disappointed.

Lovely food, would definitely recommend. Felt like there was a long lead-time but it arrived towards the start of the predicted delivery window

overall was good, only downside was the curry, in the sauce itself there just weren't really any spices or anything and it was oddly very sweet where as the actual chicken pieces were spiced. everything else was great though.

It’s been well over 2 hours now (on a Monday night) ordered at 6:30pm, it’s now 8:45pm and it still haven’t arrived. Wouldn’t recommend if you want to eat at some point. We rang the shop and they said the driver was stuck in traffic , we live about 7 mins drive away on a busy day. Absolute joke! This isn’t the first time either we brushed the last time as a one off. Wouldn’t bother if I were you.

First time irdering food was amazing

This is the best Indian takeaway round here by far. We have ordered 3 times in the last week and the food always comes fresh, piping hot and unbelievably tasty. I’ve also been into the shop to collect an order and it was one of the cleanest kitchens I’ve ever seen in a takeaway. We will never go anywhere else for our Indian takeaways now. (Colwell close)

Thoroughly enjoyed lamb curry. plenty of mushroom in rice, onion bhaij and mint sauce lovely, plenty of cheese in nan bread. The courier was very pleasant when he delivered my curry. Will definitely be ordering again.

Gorgeous food, won’t go anywhere else for an Indian. Food is always piping hot and the delivery drivers are always lovely!

£5 for bagging, delivery & sevice and he took it to the wrong house

The onion bhaji had no flavour to them and the curry vindaloo wasn’t hot it was mild

The house special starter was absolutely gorgeous, as was all the food. I’d say the butter chicken is a bit too creamy for me personally but I enjoyed it all and the quality of the meat is fab. Always loved khans!

Got chicken kofta, special f.r. mixed starter and cheese garlic bread: kofta was disgusting, special F.R. nothing special about, mixed starter was dry af and over cooked, cheesy garlic bread was folded in half in a bag, all the cheese slumped to the middle and it was like eating a flip-flop, overall disgusting, never order from there again, a waste of £25

The flavour Khans get into their food is astounding! Absolutely love this place. Recommend Chicken Sagwalla it is devine! Chicken Chaat puri is a close second.

Realised why my calls weren't being picked up. It's an Irish phone with international prefix (+353) so probably thought it was some sort of scammer I am amending my orIginal post. Called in person a few days later and got Chicken Tikka Chili Masala. It was excellent. So upgrading from 1 star to 5 I don't know how many of these punters got their orders. I rang 4 times tonight, ringing and ringing out, then when they answered they just hung up straight away. If I could give a zero rating I would.

This is my new favourite Indian… curry was top drawer. They actually read the notes too. Driver was friendly too

No issues collecting, food was lovely and hot when home. Very tasty. Only issue was oil had spilt in the bag from the food and covered most things, this oil then stained my fingernails and kitchen worktops! Considering you pay for the bag, very annoying. So be careful if theres any spillage!

Fantastic Food, lamb was so tender and succulent. Lamb Parhia was so enjoyable, we ordered create your own set meal for 2 and the portion sizes are generous. highly recommended

Food is absolutely delicious. My daughter and I went in to the shop and were unsure what to order for 4 people. The man who served us was really helpful. He advised us of the most cost effective way to order (getting a set meal and adding to it) and what dishes to try. I tried to tip him and he wouldn't accept it. He said he was happy if we were happy. Above all, he meant it. The portion sizes are good and the food is excellent. We ordered enough for 4 people and had plenty left over. We probably could have comfortably fed 6 people. In fact I'm going to order my dinner from there now!

Well we ordered chicken tikka but when it came it was dry when I phoned he said ok I’ll send a curry sauce which then took 1 hour,, then when I finally went to eat it, it wasn’t even chicken it’s lamb. It kind of ruined the night after spending like £28 on a meal when we was so hungry to no get it right. It taste nice when I came but this would put me off ordering again.

Food was actually a bit early which was fine by me. Only downer is the £4 delivery fee from knotty ash along queen's drive to Utting Ave even for an order of £35. At 4am I can get an order of £15 from granby street for £2 delivery.

Very disappointed with the food. Will not be ordering again. Tasteless rubbery tandoori prawns, very small amount for £12. All dishes were very oily, couldn’t eat it. Nothing authentic about any of the dishes we ordered and food didn’t match pics on website.

Used to be the best curry in Liverpool but now it’s vile. What’s happened? Has it been taken over? Ordered our usual and the ‘meat’ was inedible, sauce was watery and all had a funny taste to it. Two meals in the bin and won’t be ordering again.

Been going here for years and that’s the worst curry I’ve ever had. Didn’t even taste like a madras, meat quality wasn’t good, it was tough. Very disappointing.

Just fabulous! You must try Khan’s Sagwalla. Either Lamb or Chicken it’s simply devine!! The chicken tikka chaat puri is fab too. Never ever disappointed - Khans is just the best in Liverpool!

Got a chicken vindaloo it was full of oil and really greasy and it had a funny smell didn't even eat the food it was a waste threw it in the bin it's usually nice from here but this time it was disgusting

Suppose to be a lamb korma had literally 4 pieces of lamb in it meat was in short supply.

Food was watery. The korma and masala were a lot spicier than normal and we didn’t like them

We had a takeaway from Khan’s, and it was truly exceptional. We had a variety of dishes including sheik kebab, chicken tandoori, chicken tikka, and chicken jalfrazi. Every single item was absolutely delicious, but the Peshwari Naan was the standout star, a true delight. As someone with a background in Indian restaurants, I can confidently say that Khan’s offers an authentic and exceptional Indian dining experience. Every aspect of the meal was fantastic,

The samosa is great. I tried the mix starters which were not that good as the chicken were nit cooked well. I have not tried the rest of the menu. The chicken pakora was so crispy that it was not easy to bite and eat. Even the chicken inside it was not that good as it was fried too much.

food was rank ordered last night . chicken pakora was burnt to crisp, went in bin . the garlic mayo dip had spilt all over the bag n the lamb rogan josh was cold hardley any meat in it . Will not be ordering again .0/10

Don’t usually leave reviews but was surprised by some of the negative reviews so felt the need to! The food from here for a take away is that good you would think you’re eating in a restaurant! It’s full of flavour and the portions are huge. Also for me the delivery was fast and I usually collect as all delivery’s from anywhere especially on a weekend takes ages. This is my new place to go to for Indian food and I’ve tried loads! Try the garlic rice amazing!

Food is horrible its that simple.

This is a small takeaway with authentic curry dishes. I ordered Onion Bajis that were fanastic saag aloo was really tasty, chicken tikka pakora were great, tikka kabab mains with tikka masala sauce... this dish was fantastic Keema naan, garlic naan great freshly cooked naans The mains I ordered chicken tikka masala and a chicken tikka Rogan Josh and all i can say about this food it was fresh and tasted fantastic. I live in Anfield and drive to Knotty ash to pick up my order. The food is absolutly frickin fantastic.... you will not be dissapointed.

I know that takeaway places pay 15%to the likes of Just Eat so ordered on their 'app'. Ordered 4 hours in advance of when I wanted food delivery. Needless to say, food late and had to be chased up by phone. When food arrived, items missing. Fella refused to answer phone. He eventually picked up then buttoned me . Rang again and he passed me on to a delivery lad who tried to get him on phone but he shouted through that he wa 'very busy '. Will go back to Uber Eats or Just Eat after this . Shocking service and a rip off, paying for things that don't arrive. Make sure you all avoid.

Visited this takeaway for the first time on 14 April. We have sampled many Indian/Bangladeshi takeaways in South and East Liverpool and this is without question one of the best we have used. All our dishes were well cooked, carefully packaged (ours were put in a box as we had ordered quite a lot) which makes a pleasant change from those that try to cram everything into one carrier bag and cause leaks and spillages. Portions were generous, include 4 onion bhajis and 2 large samosas. Tarka dhal was exceptional, but the standout dish was my vegetable Madras. Service was a little slow, at one stage whilst waiting I thought I might have been overlooked, but the food was more than worth the wait. Very fairly priced as well. Highly recommended.

Brilliant lil secret place food cooked where u can see being prepared and Soo clean and professionally so friendly and relaxing waiting room or have it delivered.

My chicken jalfrezy was gorgeous but my friends vegetable jalfrezy didn't have much veg in it,only peppers and one spud...

People there are the best and nicer than your grandma on Christmas and its the best food ever

To do a review on food,it does help to receive it first before you taste it,But when the order was made at 6.pm,and your still waiting at 10.pm then they ring you to say "do you still want the order".And also bearing in mind you have rang more than 80 times to enquire what's happening with delivery times? It's not rocket science with the answer being no. Will not order from here again.
