This was my first time in here, but will not be my last, think this could be my new local place to grab a coffee, and bite to eat as it has a very relaxing atmosphere, really friendly staff offering delicious and good value food and fast service. The cakes were reasonably priced and all looked amazing, it was hard to choose! We shared a cinnamon bun between us three, yes it’s that big, absolutely gorgeous, served warmed. The baguettes were tasty and well filled, with a side salad which is something else, yum. Would highly recommend Ugly Mug and will be back.

First impressions great location, lovely old building, tastefully decked out, lovely large outdoor decking area looking onto churchyard. So easy, order at the counter, no waiting to get served, Al a cartè breakfast menu for full English breakfast and some extras like mashed avocado, veggitarian options and guten free options. You really couldn't ask for more. Items priced individually, what a fantastic idea. So with a nice hot mug of tea and soda bread, and lots of things off this menu, which I have to say we're all perfectly cooked and presented, I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. So much that we went back for more tea and a slice of the best carrot cake ever, just my opinion, but oh it is good.

I felt I needed to review this wonderful coffee shop and the people that work in it. Absolutely welcoming friendly and so wonderful!! They were an absolute pleasure and the visit was such a wonderful experience. My little black cockapoo was also made to feel welcome and the coffee was by far the best in Wellingborough. Please visit this lovely little coffee shop with its delightful staff. A fabulous bunch.

Excellent, friendly, attentive. I dropped my car off for a service at the nearby Vauxhall Garage and was recommended this place when I asked for a cafe. I ordered the breakfast Ciabatta (panini, sausage, egg and bacon) with a black Americano. Cost was £9.10. The lady serving recommended I sit upstairs for the nicest seating. Good choice, it was pleasant sitting on the low seats/table in the corner by the big window and gazing out at the church and churchyard and the beautiful buildings surrounding. Food arrived very quickly. Not my usual choice but was delicious nonetheless. Full marks!

A lovely lunch. Popped in on a whim with my friend and our dogs. We had a very warm welcome from a lovely server. Both had a delicious panini, quality was great for the price.

Like The atmosphere, sunny decking, excellent service for my dog and me. I just don’t like being charged extra if I choose decaf coffee. It doesn’t happen anywhere else.

The menu is quite extensive, but we only needed coffee and cookie, which were fine. Friendly service and reasonable prices.

After a trip to the opticians, decided we needed a quick coffee before the walk home. Sat outside on the decking. On looking at the menu we also opted for bacon ciabattas too. The lattes and food came very quickly. The ciabattas had a generous filling of bacon, the bread was very fresh, the baking having been finished on the premises. The service was quick and friendly and very well priced.

Great to see this lovely building back in use. The new business owners are very friendly and welcoming. Wish them all the very best in their new venture. Great views of the nearby All Hallows church from the upstairs seating area Clean elegant decor makes this a very pleasant place to while away and hour or more.

We love the coffee and bacon rolls! The lattes are the best in town, get a large and it comes in a lovely large mug. What a little gem inside Wellingborough garden centre
