Food was good, was very crowded and noisy the day we went there. Their services wasn’t the best, our order arrived very late, they forgot the salad which came even later when we were almost done with the food. Overall was a fine evening.

Excellent Ambience with wonderful food. The staff hospitality is awesome and so personalised.

They are providing variety of cuisines and the atmosphere is overwhelming too. Moreover the staffs are very friendly with the customers.

Excellent service, food and atmosphere. The staff were very attentive, welcoming and friendly and looked after us all evening. The atmosphere was very different to tour typical Indian restaurant, which I preferred. It was modern, refined and inviting with a relaxed atmosphere. We ordered a range of vegetarian, non-vegetarian curry's, naans, poppadoms as well as a fish item. They were all exceptional, delivering on flavour and texture. The dishes were all executed to perfection, with a real rich depth of flavour to them and a lovely fragrance to them all. Visually they all looked stunning and very appetising. Honestly this was some of the best food I've ever eaten.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at “Uday's Indian Restaurant ” and I must say, it was an exquisite experience from start to finish. As soon as I stepped inside, I was greated by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The elegant decor, soft lighting, and soothing background music set the perfect tone for a memorable evening and also well trained staff at the restaurant. The menu at Uday's Indian Restaurant is a culinary adventure that caters to various palates. The range of options, from appetizers to desserts, impressed me. The chef’s expertise truly shined in every dish. The flavors were well-balanced, and each plate was a work of art.

We arranged a work celebration for 30 people and chose a set menu- food was really great and everyone enjoyed it. Portions very generous and service attentive…. Will definitely be coming back!

Great food and excellent service, staff are always very polite and attentive. The new thali's are lovely if you fancy trying multiple dishes. We had the meat thali and it included butter chicken, lamb, amritsari fish, dhal makhani, raita, rice, salad, tandoori roti/naan, poppadoms, and kheer.

Its great place to visit and had selfies and get fresh atmosphere. But the dinning area is really small and you have to wait atleast half and hour to get dine even when you booked table 3 hours early. Its really busy and nobody can help in this matter not even their management.

Lovely place. Celebrating a friends birthday. Food was lovely. Not cheap though. Mains around £10 then chips/rice/nan separately.

I visit at some location and their I face parking problem and they force us for timing for new customers siting while I sit their only few time that is very bed thing for the this restaurant

I went for an early lunch and was left very pleased. The food was incredible, highly recommend the Prawn Koliwada. The virgin pina and blueberry fizz were great mock-tail options made even better by the lovely lady on bar, her service was the cherry on top. Will definitely be back soon and for anyone thinking of visiting please take a moment to admire the beautiful artwork on display, truly magnificent.

The food is nice but the pilau rice is too sweet for my liking. Great customer service, nice scenery and decent food. Would go again!

Lovely staff, very tasty food !!!

Nice food and variety of dishes...Good amount of spice. The service was slacking, waiters were all just bumping into each other. Moving tables and all sorts. We were constantly asking for small basic things and the communication between the staff was awful. We were a big table and they took our starter order and then didn't clear our plates or take our main course order.

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at Uday's. As well as the food being delicious, the team had dressed the table and made the whole evening really special. We have returned since and will definitely be returning again. Thank you.

Have been here several times before, for lunch, evening meals and this is my second afternoon tea. The evening and lunch food is presented well and tastes lovely, I always order Vegetarian so have experienced mostly all the vege menu. A lovely place to have lunch and dinner. The service is always consistent, restaurant always looks well presented there are little areas in the restaurant where you can be seated dependent on your group size. The décor is lovely. The seats are couches are comfortable. There were four of us booked in for a vegetarian afternoon tea, the food variation is lovely. Selection of mocktails and drinks are good. We were served by Dumi she was lovely; the afternoon tea is a well worth one. As a vegetarian you struggle to get good food but then to receive an array of finger food for your afternoon tea is a delight. Wel balance of cakes on the top layer, Red velvet, macaroons, chocolate fudge cake. The scones are lovely with the cream and jam, a well-stocked cake stand if you ask me. The spices and variation of food and cakes are amazing a afternoon tea well worth experiencing £30.00 for two with tea coffee included.

Delicious food would highly recommend

Staff is not cooperative. We were with our 1 year old baby and their behaviour is very bad . Instead of eating there we just packed our food . I was about to cry . Poor poor poor

Being in the UK always makes me miss the essence of my countryland's food and taste....and the atmosphere as well One of my friends suggested long back to visit here and try the food and Trust it is just worth it If you wanna feel like India for that moment Be it the biryani or anything This place has become my usual hangout spot...I must recommend you to try out whenever nearby!!!👌🏻👌🏻

Place looks good inside. However food is average for the high prices charged. Large meat mixed grill although tasted good, at almost £30 gives 2 of everything meaning party of 4 have a few bites of everything. Keema was salty tasteless and had too much chilli . Other currys ordered were good. My Overall experience pricey for what it is.

Went a few days ago. Ordered the mix platter, it was cold and dry. This place has gone downhill.

Uday's did the catering for our wedding event. Faultless service. Beautiful food - seriously tasty. Can't praise them enough. Would definitely recommend.

Took guests from London and ordered 1 x Malibu and pineapple my other half said its not Malibu when questioned they ignored us when we paid we said the staff were very incompetent until the supervisor apologised will not go there again

The food here can be really nice but sometimes just OK. My most recent visit was just OK. The difficulty I have with this place is that I find some of the staff just plain miserable, however some of them are exceptionally nice so just about balance it out. However, I often end up with the miserable one. I find that some of the items are expensive like the poppadoms, and considering they are not even whole they are chopped up in quarters for aesthetics so effectively your paying over 3.00 for one poppodam. Would I go again, probably but with so many other options within close proximity I would definetly try elsewhere first.

Torn between a 4 and a 5. Some of the prices are a touch on the high side, the meat was slightly on the tougher side in parts and the staff aren't the friendliest. But the spice and depth of flavours within the food was absolutely phenomenonal. The aloo tikka chaat starter and Kolhapuri lamb were gorgeous. Not the normal Indian restaurant staples and the better for it. Will return.

We traveled from Cardiff to attend a party at this restaurant. It was definitely worth the journey. Fab food, great service and friendly staff.

I had pinacolada and Veg Thai green curry. Both were so amazing that I had to personally thank chef Sanjay for his skills. Thai green curry was so creamy and tasty with around 5 vegetables inside. Definitely recommend it.

Mutton Biryani is amazing here as usual. Tried other kebabs it was amazing Green Thai curry.. was out of this world. good Hospitality!! Good chef Mr Sanjay:)

Was pleasantly surprised with the good ambience, quick service & delicious food, on visiting this place recently..We ordered palak paneer, butter chicken, naan & pulao rice... the curries were very good in taste.. although the naan was a bit too crisp so became hard after a while, this could be a area of improvement... service was quite quick as well & ample space between tables.. we would be visiting again..

8th July 2023. This was truly a very unfortunate and uncomfortable experience to have, after being told by friends, how lovely the restaurant is, we decided to celebrate a birthday there, Only moments after being seated, we noticed the chef put his fingers in his mouth on more than one occasion within less than a minute, it’s something I don’t expect any chef to do when catering for customers or anything else. There was no reason to for any chef to behave in such a manner and extremely unprofessional and unhygienic. Traditionally, chefs would use utensils such as spoons to taste what they have cooked, certainly not fingers. This opened up a whole raft of questions of the quality and hygiene standards within the kitchen. We made a decision not to eat, but had a drink at the bar, A few moments later, I decided to share my concern with the restaurant manager who was identified by one of the bar staff. The response I got from the restaurant manager, and I quote, “oh, ok” . I explained that we had changed our mind to eat there for the behaviour of the kitchen chefs. What was more concerning was that the restaurant manager didn’t seem to be concerned or bothered, we finished our drinks and left and had no acknowledgement by the restaurant manager upon exiting. We will not be visiting this restaurant or recommending this to anyone we encounter.

The service was very good. The female waitress was very polite and looked after us in a very professional manner. The food was very good and presented perfectly. We had vegetarian and meat dishes. Both were delicious. (Vegetarian probably slightly better) "THANK YOU" Uday's for a lovely meal. 👍👌

This is a reasonably nice place and certainly better than most on Dudley Road. The food is good, but priced at the higher end for the area. The service is a bit slow but the staff are nice enough. They have space for a family gathering or parties up to around 90-100 people. Parking is best on the side street or in the nearby Indian supermarket car park.

Great decor and interior (if not noisy during rush hours, but that’s understandable). This place (along with Dosa Hut) has been the go to place for me and my family for the last 6 years and they’ve never let us down. The food here is truly authentic Indian restaurant food and the closest you’ll find to back home, and a far cry from the awful Indian takeaways scattered elsewhere across the country. Some recommendations include the butter chicken, chilly chicken, biriyani but the dosas and other south Indian dishes are also great. Worth the cost every single time. Portions are good enough and consistent with other Indian places in the UK.

I had saved my appetite whole day to eat at Udays, i however got really bad food poisoning 1 hour after eating there from either the chicken malai or the salad which i ordered.

Had wonderful meal at Uday's with my sisters & nephew. The delicious meals were hot & service off staff was tentative. Different plus to visit to try other variety on the menu. Very polite staff, had great experience.

Food really tasty, great vegetarian option and hosting brilliant however slightly over priced.

Decent portion of curry and rice. I really like the range of fishes in the seafood platter, the prawns and fried fish plus salmon were very nice and tender. Butter chicken was very smoothbl and the flavour was wonderful. All the staff were very attentive.

Order via Uber eats was the first time using Uday and will definitely be the last time as well. Ordered afternoon tea along with other items. Got phone call from restaurants to say there were unable to supply the afternoon tea, but restaurant didn't bother to notify uber eats hence was still charged for it. Request refund from Uber who refused and advised me to contact restaurant which I did they admitted to not fulfilling full order but refused refund and said manager would contact me as yet no phone call. Food they did deliver wasn't worth the money.

I personally didnt like the food there. But everyone has their own taste buds. I wont b going back as the food Wasnt up to level. It was the chef fault not the waiters or waitress they Were polite they even said sorry n try to reduce the bill. But my husband still paid in full cos he a gentleman like that. I seriously wouldnt go there salty, too much masala, Very spicy, didnt feel much taste in food. This is my view on the place. Chef needs to enjoy his cooking to make nice food. The place is expensive aswell so when someone come out there way paying there hard earned money. They need the food to b top quality aswell. I dont like giving bad reviews but it had to b said. Like i said go and try in that place but it wasnt for me waste of time and effort/money.

Went to Uday's on a quiet evening and ordered starters which were extremely tasteless and the vegan option was stale. Staff did not bother to ask whether starters were okay, and even after speaking to the manager he was full of excuses but no apology or other options. Bill was paid in full and left to go elsewhere for a meal. Highly disappointed with the whole experience and would not recommend!!! Appalling service despite plenty of staff leaving a bitter taste in my mouth.... never again!!! Would give zero stars if possible.

Really good starters and great drinks. The interior and decor is very fancy and the staff are friendly and quick to respond to your order. The only thing I found very disappointing was the Main dishes which were curry’s. They were very bland and the meat was very though both lamb and chicken. The spices were not cooked out in the curry’s which gave them a very grainy paste like flavour. It’s like they rushed the food. It’s very sad as the starters were really nice and the nann breads served with the curry’s were also very nice. I hope this can be resolved and they take more care when cooking the curry’s.

I helped to organise a work team afternoon lunch (Indian afternoon tea) for 15 people and everything from the initial booking to the service on the day was outstanding. Ordered via Uber. Food was cold, and very over seasoned and over spiced. Too many different spices that clashed rather than blending. Too much Cardamom in every dish we had also. £60 not well spent! Can’t recommend.

Went on a Monday evening, was not busy, ordered veg food, was all mediocre no real flavours which stood out, less than adequate for pricea charged, pubs locally do better food. Chefs need to up their game.

We celebrated a birthday here and it was perfect. Great food and atmosphere for the whole family. Shirley and the team were great, we'll definitely be back!

2nd time visiting and again the food was tremendous! Chef special lamb was beautiful and very tasty. Surroundings are nice, friendly, clean and child friendly. Staff are brilliant and so helpful. They will talk you through the menu and worth asking them regaining heat of the spice. Fantastic menu with an Indian/Chinese fusion and some very good and different choices to choose from. Well worth a visit and I will be going again and again 😃👍🏻
