Went with a few friends, lovely location, friendly staff. Had fish pokara starters and for mains had the chicken roasted red chilli. Food was delicious and came on time. Very busy restaurant definitely recommend it 👌

Celebrated my retirement Party at Monsoon with a party of 20 of my work colleagues. We had a wonderful evening food and service was excellant with a lovely warm atmosphere. Thanks to all the staff at Monsoon for making my retirement such a memorable evening.

A group of us ate here on a week day. The welcome from the staff was nice and the service was good. It's quite a cosy restaurant, the food is presented very well. The restaurant is licenced and they do a weekday deal (starter, main & a rice or naan) for about £15.

Great service, great food good choices and reasonable prices and best of all menu highlights allergen options and is easy even after a few glasses from their wine selection

Used to a place where the staff couldn’t do enough for you but it has gone massively downhill over the course of the last 2 years. Go to zooma just down the road if you’re after first class dining - either that or bring back the old team from here but either way - the current team at Monsoon are terrible, the worst being the manager. Real shame.

We booked for 8 of us on Xmas day. Had a bit of a wait but it was soooo worth it! Food was delicious. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I would definitely go back there or order a takeaway. Best I’ve tasted for years!!

Butter Chicken, Egg Fried Rice and Fish Pakoras; all were the worst I’ve ever had. Not worth the price and will take a wide berth in the future.

The first time I have been here and was somewhat disappointed considering reviews I have read. Firstly, the service and reception was very 'cool' I understand a little as it was very busy that evening, but FOH staff could have been more chatty and friendly. The food was OK, but nothing to write a 5, 4 or 3 star review about, I have definitely had better Indian cuisine elsewhere. The service was not great very 'here's your food' vibe. At then end of the meal no hand towels to wipe your sticky hands and having had peshwari naans my hands were sticky. But, one thing that made the evening meal noteworthy was how noisy it was. For a small restaurant the noise was so loud, SO LOUD it was difficult to have a conversation with my companion. Tables were so close together that occasionally we would have someones a..e brushing past the table. Some form of acoustic absorbers on walls and maybe soft back chairs would calm it down. Won't be going back.

Visited Monsoon evening on Sunday 23rd October as 5 adults & 3 teens for first time. There is a great offer of starter , main , rice/naan with tea /coffee for £15.95. We had a range of veggie /chicken /fish and all enjoyed what we ate though I forgot to spice mine up but that was sorted with chopped chillis. Drinks are about a fiver for pint of Cobra on draught, Indian Cider in bottles (can’t recall name) and Bathams in bottles which was a very pleasant surprise. Restaurant staff were lovely. Definitely recommend.

First time here. Loved it. Beautiful lamb and chicken madras. Bombay Aloo fantastic and Peshwari bread so fresh . Will be returning soon. The service was outstanding.

Fabulous curry, best in the area. Unique chef specials served by friendly staff in a restaurant with lovely ambiance. Chef is always happy to tweak or amend a dish to your liking.

Food was delicious. We went on a Wednesday as there is an offer on. The portions were huge. Lamb was tender and well flavoured. Chicken dishes were equally as good. Naan was the most delicious I have had in along time. Good night overall.

Excellent and authentic tasting food. This is not your run of the mill Indian restaurant. Truly delicious biryani where you can actually taste the individual spices. The service was attentive and genuine too. Recommended.

Amazing North Indian garlic chilli lamb

Went last night for the first time. Lovely food, cooked as requested, eg spicy. Flavoursome. Well cooked. Chicken tikka was the most tender my husband has ever tried. Decent portion sizes. Will definitely go again.

Only put one star so I can write a review. We ordered the takeaway from the website and had a confirmation email all was ok, after 1hur and 20mins still nuthing, we phoned up to chase it and they said the order didn't come through but oddly he said everything we ordered how very strange and said 1hur wait or maybe half an hour, so eating at 9pm when we ordered it at 7pm. Pathetic it was the first time and the last time we order from them very disappointing.

Came here with two other friends for my best friend's belated birthday meal on Saturday night. I had a lovely chicken balti and keema naan washed down with a pint of coke. Have been here many times before and the food and customer service has always been excellent, looking forward to returning here again soon.

Heard about this restaurant from work colleagues. Wife has been a few times and loves the food. My very first visit yesterday, the food was amazing and the meat in both me and the wife's meals, was beautiful cooked and so tender. No chewy bits. Customer service was amazing, staff are very friendly especially Fred. Great time, thank you guys

well as a chef i can say that was the worst mixed grill ive had in years. in fact it was all terrible for the price i paid. Id never eat there again. I called to complain before i ate and my reply was sorry we Carnt take back the food . Poor

what a gem of a restaurant. sorted us out at short notice. a large group (18+ of us) they moved tables round to fit us in, did everything they could to accommodate us. food was absolutely amazing. staff were brilliant. Thank you to all involved for a friendly atmosphere, hope we didn't upset anybody's night when we sang happy birthday at the top of our voices. can't wait to go back. This is a Top restaurant with top food and top staff.

Great service and delicious food

We traveled from Tamworth 27 miles away and worth the journey. They are better than our local curry houses. 1st time I tried lamb rogan josh and it melted in my mouth. The staff were very polite and chatty made us feel very welcomed

How did I not know about this place? I think I've found my new favourite! Had a wonderfully relaxed meal here catching up with a friend. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was absolutely perfect, I cannot fault a single thing.

Always excellent food and service. We’ve been coming for 5 years and have always had a consistently high standard of food. Our favourite Indian restaurant and we’ve tried lots over the years.

This was a good restaurant when it opened, but greed is all they think now. A busy day when we rang for a collection, half an hour wait, sounds fair. Went to collect, over an hour till we got it. Honesty over profit in waiting times is a standard practice.

We ordered food for take away. It was tasty but unfortunately we had been over charged. I’ve checked prices on menu , added even extra for delivery and still was more then it should be. Shame that they loose customers because we are not going to order from them anymore. 😒

Tandoori grill and butter chicken was good but the cocktails tasted like they had no alcohol. Apparently premixed in a bottle so probably needs the double rum to be added.:(

Amazing food as always. Our fave restaurant we live minutes away and take away is also beautiful. However, if you visit the restaurant you're treated like King and queen. Food is exceptional service is superior and the atmosphere is just perfect. No better Indian cuisine in the area!

We have dined at Monsoon in the past but have not visited since the pandemic. We decided to order a takeaway one Friday night and were pleasantly surprised at the short wait time. When we collected, our food was ready but still piping hot. The portion sizes were brilliant and tasted amazing! We will definitely be back to dine in soon.

Just back from meeting a friend at this restaurant. What a lovely night we had. The service was great the food lovely and on a Tuesday night all on offer. The staff are very friendly and helpful and attentive without being over bearing. Would definitely recommend. The offer on a Tuesday night is really good. Couldn't fault out meal at all.

A lovely Indian restaurant in the centre of Tettenhall village, tastefully furnished with well spaced tables, great food, good atmosphere and first class friendly service. I had the nargis kebab to start, similar to a scotch egg but using spiced lamb mince, never had this before but it's now on my favourites list. For mains I had the tandoori mixed grill which was one of the best I've had. A great night out, we will definitely be returning soon.

Visited again last night. Had a great evening. Staff are so friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, good temperature as served in hot dishes warmed by a burner at the table, plates were hot too, which we think is always a plus in restaurants. We like a specific relish with poppadoms, which they remembered and produced without us even having to ask. Restaurant was full and buzzing which is always a good sign.

Booked a table in advance and was told no tables when we arrived, told to wait in bar and just watched the most miserable, rude bar man I’ve ever come across. We were completely ignored for 25 mins so booked a table at the Penn Tandoori and service there was 5* .. in future maybe give tables a time limit if you know your going to be busy or not give priority to customers “you know well” and don’t book a table

Worst food I have ever had from an Indian restaurant. Ordered via Uber eats. The food looked like it was 3 weeks old. I complained to give them the chance to put this right, but they didn’t want to know. Take a look at the picture. The food went in the bin.

So frustrating. Monsoon started out so well. Flavours and cuison was on point, ordering was a frictionless process with recognition of number used to call cutting out the need to give address. Lately however, it all seems to be a bit chaotic. Phone to place an order, can we call you back - which they did. May I pay by card - no call back (fortunately we had cash to pay). Last straw for me today was the food was delivered much later than we were led to expect. The food was near cold, some parts burnt, others not cooked with the previous attention to detail. Happy to give another try if we can see that Monsoon has addressed these issues, and update review.
