Food was absolutely incredible and the place was crazy busy when we visited which goes to show how good they are to still produce high quality food at peak times, drink prices were a bit outrageous but they have to make up the low meal price somewhere! Will definitely be going back there

This place is a little hidden gem for Asian food, especially Chinese ! The restaurant doesn’t look the best from outside and could do with a little update inside BUT the food, and value is amazing. The service is fantastic , nothing is too much and done with a smile. It’s a buffet style menu but everything is bought out to your table upon order. You can have a varied Asian experience here ordering Chinese, Thai and Malaysian dishes !

Recommended by a friend and it was NOT a disappointment. Relaxed atmosphere,all the food is cooked to order a piping hot with load of flavour.

I had the oyster sauce with chicken (even though I asked for beef but I am not even mad). It was truly epic.

It is not worth 30 pounds. I wish I went somewhere with better quality food. Although, Staff was friendly, but food was tasteless. I am not too fussy usually, but I sent a chicken back, it was undercooked. The restaurant gives the impression you get loads for your money when actually it’s all small portions and not that tasty. Brocoli was frozen, very watery. Wontons not that hot probably frozen too… I’m not sure I’ll go back, it’s average and I’d rather have just one good dish that average food all along.

Great place was my first time going and being in margate in general. From the outside doesn't look like much but inside is a different story great staff and was very nice food.

Very good all you can eat place cook to order so no wasteage. Capital ribs a must try. Is quite expensive per head so not ideal if you want a meal for under 20 quid. Very good food and quick to come out once ordered.

Staff - Very friendly staff and welcoming Food- Duck, ribs , seaweed, chicken satay all lovely. Mains- noodles and rice fantastic! However anything in batter like prawn toast, tempura prawns, chicken balls was all awful, batter was used for every dish, and it tasted of pure oil. Iv never sent any of those back before in any restaurant or take out , so was very disappointing. Tasted very cheap and nasty. Hoisen sauce is also far to rich tastes of pure sugar. Change the batter and hoisin and this would be 4.6 star, it’s only 3 in my opinion food not all to a great standard. Cost is ok for the amount on the menu however, we sent 3 dishes back so anything in batter not worth eating unless you like a mouthful of oil. So for us would of been cheaper going elsewhere.

We got a warm friendly welcome, the food was delicious and we had enough time between starter and main to feel uncomfortable after dining. Very busy with a very happy buzz well worth booking

Had yet another fantastic meal at this restaurant with friends, the food was as usual very tasty, we had a few different starters and we were offered crispy duck before trying out a few main courses. The meals were quick to come once ordered, staff were friendly and efficient. Well worth a visit!

we sat down for dinner and had the mixed platter, duck and tom ka. everything was very oily but decent. we felt like some sauces were missing and some fresh additions like perhaps a little more salad. still, worth a visit if you're looking for a quick Thai food fix 😋

I really loved the food but I ordered 2 glasses of wine which cost 20pds I thought this was expensive next time I go ill drink water lol

Mmmm! Yummy! Ridiculously extensive vegan menu. It’s an all you can eat menu so around £24 on the weekend to order whatever you like. We had vegan meat satay skewers, vegan dumplings, vegan spring rolls, vegan “duck” pancakes. Sweet n sour vegan crispy chicken and mock pork too. So so good! We recommend going there hungry! Amazing service too, very friendly, warm, funny and welcoming!

Really nice place to eat especially if you eat with friends

We ordered a takeaway the starters were excellent (satay chicken and prawn toast). The duck was a tad dry and they used the same base sauce for the Malaysian chicken and beef rendang. All three were still tasty though and we'd go back :)

The food from here is out of this world. Vegan menu is amazing. Nothing to much trouble. Great value for money. The vegan satay scewers are very addictive.

I was in the area for a birthday trip and we wanted to have Chinese food. I’m vegan so I ordered mushroom fried rice with salt and pepper tofu. I kid you not this was the best Chinese meal I’ve had since turning vegan almost 2 years ago I’m usually very disappointed but this time my mind was blown and I did the happy food dance. Amazing service and the bathrooms were clean.

Very good food. Tastes authentic and different to other Asian restaurants. I like the fact that you could order anything and everything for the same price. The portion sizes are perfect to get a good taste of new and favourite dishes.

We love TY8, friendly and helpful staff, great for vegetarians, vegans and those with allergies, amazing selection. Taken friends and family here who all love it too. We’ve eaten in and had takeaway from here and have not been disappointed yet! Would highly recommend!

There is a very large all you can eat menu to choose from. The food comes on small dishes and is tasty and hot. Booking is essential to get a table, and deposits must be paid for to keep a booked table at weekends.

Booked for a birthday party for 20 plus people. Food was fantastic, and every one of our party remarked on what a good time they had. Will definitely be going back in the near future.

Great little place, different system to the normal all you can eat which means the food is always fresh and hot. Quality of the food isn't bad worth the 4 stars.

I sort of love and dislike this place at the same time, it is a buffet but you place a order and it comes out cooked on plate fresh rather than traditional help yourself buffet, the food is nicer and tastier as it is cooked fresh but my only problem is that whenever we order starters and even say please small portions we always get brought out big portions, so I never really get past starters as normally end up with too many chicken satay skewers that fill us up and it would be nice to have small portions of many things, the restaurant is very nice and staff always very nice so that is my only complaint because I am a small guy lol definitely try this place if you have not before

Ty-8 is without doubt the best Asian restaurant in Thanet, and my go-to place for delicious food. One of the many things that sets it apart from the plethora of Asian eateries in the area is the extensive vegan menu, and the fact the staff (who are lovely) always enquire about allergies before taking orders. The food is completely delicious, prices are good, and the restaurant has great ambience. Definitely recommended!
