Had a two night stay here over the weekend of the 6th Sept and what a wonderful little place it is. Emma and Menno were the most welcoming, friendly hosts and we immediately felt like this was a home from home, our room was very cosy and complete with home made Welsh cakes that went down a treat with a cup of tea after the long drive. The breakfasts were amazing and with the added twist of a Dutch breakfast option courtesy of Menno. The tea rooms are currently closed allowing for a lovely spacious breakfast room which is decorated with photos and keepsakes from all over the world. Emma gave us pointers on the local eateries and places to go and even filled up our water bottles for us when we went out on our hike. This is a fantastic base for walking with easy access to both the Rydd Ddu, and Snowdon Ranger paths up Snowdon as well as having several lakes and close by to the Nantile Ridge. Ty Mawr is currently up for sale which is a shame because we would definitely stay again. Thank you Emma and Menno for giving us a really lovely stay.

Stayed in the B&B for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. Emma and Menno are terrific hosts, very caring and proactive in making your stay a great one. Breakfast is top notch and it was a perfect spot to base myself for exploring Snowdonia, including a walking trail to the pretty nearby Beddgelert, complete with rain gear kindly borrowed from Ty Mawr. Thanks again!

After lunch at the pub, I fancied a dessert and was delighted to see the tea room open. I called in and asked for two slices of their ‘Dutch Apple Tart’ to take away. The owner, who was there with her husband responded, ‘Sorry, we don’t have the capacity to do that!’ A somewhat bizarre reply, there was one other customer and I would have thought that placing two slices of tart into a paper bag or something similar, wouldn’t present too much of a challenge. I’ve eaten there a few times previously and have always enjoyed the food, despite being relatively small inside and with only two chairs outside, it has a pleasant ambience and thus I wouldn’t downgrade it simply because of this disappointment and I shall definitely return.

Leuk hoor. We voelden ons zeer welkom. Een minpuntje....de auto moest langs de weg staan. Gelukkig reed er 's avonds bijna niemand. Dus ook niks gehoord terwijl we aan de weg sliepen. Ontbijt was super lekker.

After our camping Calor gas container had run out of gas, a few in our group were eager to find a spot to have a quick coffee before we enjoyed our day out in the area. How lucky were we when we stumbled across this fantastic little tearoom not far from the base of one of the trails up Mount Snowden. Quietly unassuming, the exterior is quaint and attractive, with the interior full of interesting collectables from all over the world. But best of all was the wonderful food and drink which we thoroughly enjoyed. The coffee was of a very high standard and the carrot cake especially was a treat. Also, they sell stamps and post cards which was fantastic because we couldn't find another shop in the area selling stamps (there is a postbox opposite as well if you need it). We also noted that for a very reasonable £4.50 they will put together a packed lunch for anyone making the trip up the mountain. Highly recommended and we will definitely return.

The place has a nice atmosphere and a friendly couple running it.The Dutch coffee was good.I ordered the ‘Uitmijter’ , a Dutch speciality consisting of bread, ham, cheese and topped with fried eggs. The place had such a nice atmosphere my mind conjured up something really tasty like an English toasted sandwich or French croque monsieur, but with the eggs, even better. It turned out to be cold bread, topped with a thin slice of cheap ham, a slice of industrial cheese and fried egg with the yolk barely heated through. The whole thing was cold apart from the whites of the egg. I can’t understand why this wasn’t made with toasted bread, toasted cheese and a nicer cooked egg where the yolk had been splashed with hot oil. I did eat it, with difficulty. Maybe in Holland it would be considered a reasonable dish. My companions’ food was better and they said they enjoyed it.

Had lunch here a few days ago with friends. We were given a lovely warm welcome, coats taken and shown to our table. Great choice of food, with full explanations of all dishes given if required. I can not fault any part of this experience, the young trainees worked very hard to make sure everything went well. The staff were all very professional and it would have been easy believe you were in a “proper” restaurant. In fact I have had much worse food and service in many restaurants! Very generous portions of food, very well presented and good service. Excellent value when full price but we were lucky to go when a 2 for 1 offer was on. I can definitely recommend and will without doubt visit again soon. Thank you and well done to the youngsters.
