Posting on behalf of my sister who has special needs - Both my mother and sister came in yesterday, the blonde woman behind the counter was rude to my sister who asked "is the kitchen open" she told my sister "no" and she asked if there was any sandwiches to which this woman raised her voice at my SISTER with SPECIAL NEEDS telling her that she already said the kitchen was closed. I would not recommend this cafe seeing as they think they have the right to talk to people with disabilities like pieces of dirt on the floor. Ty Coffi sort your attitudes out and learn how to speak to your customers, absolutely appalling. Avoid.

Another great place for a fried breakfast in Bridgend. The full breakfast is only £7.30, excellent value for money. Really can't fault it. Decent coffee with decaf even available. Very quick service

Attended here today with a friend and ordered two take away meals. Waited for 40mins and had to leave. Worryingly the cook appeared to have a baby in the kitchen with her whilst cooking, perhaps this caused the delay for all of the orders, but it definitely raised concerns for hygiene. I would avoid.

They only accept cash. Which high street shop does not have card facilities, especially during a pandemic?!

Not as good as used to be considering for the price you pay you would expect home cooked food as used to be the case not this time but still charge high prices, want be visiting again rather go elsewhere.

I'll start by saying the full and monster breakfasts we had were lovely. Perfectly cooked and came hot. The chips and hash browns (and croquettes in the case of the monster) seems a bit of a strange choice but not a negative. The negatives come in the small, marble tables which are not big enough for two breakfasts, coffees and condiments, but also make everything cold very quickly. My last few mouthfuls of breakfast were cold, and I shovel my food like I've been starved! But the biggest negative, for me, is that they don't take cards. I rarely carry cash. In this day and age, and especially given the current climate, it's not really acceptable. Other than that, the place is very clean. Staff are pleasant, although not massively welcoming. Can't say we'll be rushing back but there's also a lot worse places to go.

Hi, Just wanted to say we were v impressed today when we visited Ty Coffi Bridgend and I had gravy and chips which was delicious (sorry I cdnt eat it all. Im on medication for breast cancer which has taken my appetite away a bit) and my daughter had a bacon sandwich with salad. Also delicious. We also liked the fact that the fat was cut off the bacon. Dont always get that. All staff polite and very helpful. Will def call again. :) xxx

Superb Cafe with a fantastic selection of breakfasts, lunches, snacks and full meals from their menu. Excellent portions at very reasonable prices. Well worth a visit.Highly recommended.

Clean but expensive considering so many competitors in close proximity. The staff are helpful and courteous.

Poor service. We were 4 but ended up with only 3 meals. Left before the 4th meal came. Wouldn't recommend.

Went there yesterday for a cooked dinner with my partner asked for mint they said no apple sauce no so I had to go to bms to buy some mint sauce when I came back my food was freezing because I had to que they never even asked me do you want me to warm your food disgusting way to treat customers

The first time that I have ordered food from TY COFFI. I am so pleased with the food, so I am leaving a review whilst I eat it! :) Really pleasantly surprised with the portion size and quality of food. I ordered a veggie breakfast which came with beans in a separate container. The portion size is awesome and the food is well presented and tasty. Arrived still hot! I would recommend this restaurant if you like tasty food and a good size portion! :)

To be honest, I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious sandwiches produced by this little cafe, close to the Bridgend bus station. Very reasonably priced, friendly staff, what's not to like?

Warm welcome at the cafe, I had to pop out as didn’t have any cash and they didn’t accept cards/contactless and one of the only cafes I knew that was open at 7.30. I had eggs on toast and a fried bread, decent prices on most breakfasts and was happy that the toast was buttered before putting eggs on top. I fancied one of the healthy smoothies but thought £3 was a bit steep. I did use the customer bathroom too and unfortunately there was no toilet paper anywhere in the room otherwise I may have scored it a 4. I think I would probably come here again though. Thank you

Very nice coffee, haven't tried the food as yet. Very pleasant young woman serving, I think she is East European - made me feel very welcome! I look forward to trying the food soon.

Staff were friendly and prices appeared reasonable. However, food quality was poor. I had a breakfast and the beans and sausage were both cheap quality. My fried eggs arrived with hard yolks so I asked to have some with runny just to be given hard again. Won't be back again.

My Mother in law regularly went to you before your reopened and since reopening won't be back. Seeing there were no two seater tables available she sat at a four seater. The small weedy moustache man came out and loud enough for everyone to hear stated four seater tables should not be given to small or single parties, My mother in law was rushed to have her food and when she told weedy moustache man there had been no smaller tables available when she arrived she was told to bear it in mind for next time. What a way to treat a grieving woman who has recently lost her husband. She won't be back

I enquired about a take away hot chocolate - to be shocked to hear that the price is £3. It was for a child, (though that might not have been known) Costa do kids chocolate for 55/65 pence. Massive difference. Disappointed. Food in general has been ok.

Latte did not taste like coffee, was very weak and strange grey colour. Pleasant cafe.

Nice place to have a quick meal, but it can get a bit busy in there and you may have to share a table with a stranger. Good value for money though.

This place gets really busy at times and it's difficult to get a table, sometimes you have to share a table with a stranger, which is not good business practice. The food is really good here though and quite reasonably priced.

Visited this café today - absolutely freezing, did not appear to be any heating whatsoever. Only visit if you're happy to keep your coat on. Coffee mediocre.

Having visited most coffee shops in Bridgend, Ty Coffi certainly comes out on top. Excellent service, staff are really friendly and the food is restaurant quality and at around £2 for a large coffee you can't really go wrong! 5 Stars!

I was shocked when I asked for a bacon sandwich and I was told it was £3.20 ,I think that's a bit too much ! You can buy a pack of bacon in poundland for £1 and a loaf of bread in tesco for 60p , you won't catch me in there again , other cafes in bridgend are much better value !

The management staff are rude when constructive critasism and menu is far too big for what it is.
