Popped in on the off chance, mid day. Was comfortable enough and welcoming. Bar lady pleasant enough, professional. Cheap drinks, made a nice change from the Wetherspoons.

Great staff and had a lovely time.

Reasonable prices & friendly and helpful staff. No longer surves food. Children, dogs & vaping not allowed anymore.

Went there last night to watch the boxing with my boyfriend off putting at first due to the amount of scumbags hanging around outside. Tidy people inside good staff cheap pint

Used to go to this pub quite alot but stopped going as it went downhill due to the people that it used to attract. Went there last night and was impressed by how much it had changed for the better due to the door men doing an amazing job and not allowing scum in there. Will definitely be back

Generally like this place but got annoyed once because I was refused entry, I was unwell. The bouncers outside judged me and they didn't realise I was poorly, and refused me entry when I came back from an errand. That's the only reason I knocked off 2 stars.

Walking passed this evening, there where 9 of us walking passed to get out Taxi . There was a homeless person sitting trying to keep warm in this dreadful weather. The door opened from this pub, and a man threw water all over the homeless man, he was soaking. How mean and dreadful, terrible. We shall be reporting this to the police in the morning. Hope CCTV caught this It has sickened me to the stomach. Dreadful act from a member of staff how cruel and sad . Hope you fall on hard times Karma. Why not help the poor man have a heart.

A good place to watch the football only on occasional gets agressive punters. It no longer series food and the toilet can be horrible. Friendly staff. Too many smokers outside the entrance.

Good prices, still wish they would stop the smoking in the doorway. Absolutely stank of smoke by the time we ran the gauntlet in order to get 8b.

It was alright, plenty of seating, but the selection of drinks on tap was not really to my taste. I'd like to see some hoppy locally brewed beers.

Busy pub/restaurant, ideal meeting place. Good size menu with something for all. Can get loud and cramped around the entrance with smokers

The grub is good for the price, staff nice and friendly. It's clean and light. If you like sports there are screen everywhere. If you don't like sports there are screens everywhere. It deserves the 3.5 star rating cheep and cheerful.

Choose the Tair Pluen for the team Christmas night out. What an absolutely amazing night. Food was class! Drinks kept following thanks to Paul. The individual care and attention to our needs on the run up to the booking to even being there on the night Rebecca excelled. My group has such a good time thanks to everyone at the Tair Pluen!! We will be back

Cheap food and not bad, they were missing a few items from the menu

What a time we had at Tair Pluen. The staff couldn’t have done enough for us especially Rebecca who ensured we had drinks served to our table but also chased us up to order food for half time. Excellent staff and venue highly recommend.

Me and my partner had a great time Both order mixed grill only had to wait 20 minutes (average time) Drinks was cheap and was coming quickly.

Drinks are cheap. Staff was lovely came round to check up on us had a nice chat. Enjoyed the quiz on Thursday night Will go again next week

I came here with a friend. Because it was a hot day I wanted cool white wine. The staff were very friendly telling me which one to have I had Verdejo El Zondaz - Spain.The taste was delicious. I did have a few more. The people come around to say Hello was wonderful. Good Pub.

Went for lunch with my wife I had a burger which tasted like a value burger,and my wife had a filled Baguette which had minimal filling and the ends were like concrete. we had to wait 30mins for this despite the pub being quite.curly fries also greasy

The staff are really rude the sauce you get with the chicken burger looks like diareaha and the cheese is solid

This pub is ideal for a meal and a pint and close to the bus station. The cleanliness and ordering service was spot on with the COVID rules. The staff were helpful and friendly and used track and trace and provided sanitizer at all points. The food and drink was adequate for what we wanted, as we were on a walking holiday not a cuisine/gastropub. Thanks to all, and hopefully we will be back some day.

This pub near the bus station frequently has what most people would call undesirables hanging around the entrance as well as smokers, but once inside this pub is much better. It serves decent pub grub at a good price, plenty of televisions showing sport, drink prices are good also

sticky tables they wipe tops not underneath menus stick to tables not happy,,not for me needs a deep deep deep clean but they dont care,quick turnover not on my list ..

Went here when visiting Bridgend by bus it's opposite bus station. Had a good breakfast including coffee for about £5. Pub was very comfortable and the staff pleasant.

Nothing we want to order all ended up with meals we didn't want because that was the only thing we could have no vegan pies

Customer service with some of the staff very poor they got a habit of not taking enough interest in the customer that they are serving

It was half empty and my husband had a beer that tasted funny, the were very nice and gave him another one but that was the same. They gave him a different beer and he had a taste and left that. Think they need to clean pumps as that beer was what he had in the previous pub and he said it was such a nice pint.

A great alternative to Wetherspoons! Mon to Thurs daytime 1/2 price meals. On a December Weds at 2pm I had steak and chips and a pint for £6.50 Tasty, great value and friendly staff. Will visit again

Ordered 2 cappacino but got 2 cups of hot milk with very little choc power asked for extra coffee but even after adding 2 coffee 'shots' it didn't taste of coffee and definitely no frothy cappacino! Very disappointed. Bar staff need to be trainer to make barrista coffee if that's whats advertised.

We were drinking here earlier in the afternoon -and received generous measures. We returned after the game and were accidentally charged double for the drinks due to many bar staff and confusion of orders. The manager Joe and barmaid Rose corrected the order immediately and the night was grand at the Tair Pluen. Many thanks to the staff and establishment. X

Have literally eaten hundreds of meals there! Have NEVER had a bad meal. My Mum and I eat there everytime we go into town for a Mam +daughter day. The reason is the meals are lovely for a chain and great value too. Honestly the best gammon, it's the only place I order it cos I know it's gonna be lovely. Great burgers, great steak, great curry, great sandwiches... Fish and chips are popular there but I'm a scampi lover so I have that which is lush. We had chicken katsu this time for 1st time and we absolutely LOVED IT!!! It's great value even at full price but at the moment Monday-Thursday 12-8 pm it's 50% off! The amount of food you get for your money is insane!!! I much prefer the food there than the Witherspoons chain for example. Honestly give it a try

Quick visit mainly to watch the World Cup cricket and take advantage of the half price menu Monday to Thursday. Had beef and onion pie and chips, although was mince beef rather than chunks I enjoyed it. Chips average but at 2.79 I was pleasantly surprised. Also the fish looked excellent.

Inexpensive and good value for money

I took my partner, step dad, mother-in-law and father-in-law in for some lunch. The three parents are all getting on a bit and have diabetes so was important they eat regularly to maintain their sugar levels.

Went for the half price lunch meal in the day, waited OVER 40 minutes for a curry, THEN had a kitchen member/chef gawk at me from behind the bar! 🤢🤢 Definitely don’t think I’ll be visiting again!!! 😭

If you like horse racing on the TV and sharing the pub with an older clientele then this is the place for you. Reasonably priced ale but the march up stairs to the toilet is a draw back.

Wasn't a good experience, I was having a cup of coffee and there was a couple of drunk men they were very aggressive, and loud, made me feel very uncomfortable it was only 10.00 am I won't be going there again x
