From the smile as we entered the pub even though we were 10 mins late to the efficient ordering service drinks very quickly made and the food delivered within 10/12 mins we had exceptional service. The food was one beef and two Turkey dinners. Plenty of meat veg and roast potatoes. Also mash and pigs in blankets with the Turkey dinner. We really enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere in the pub. We will definitely be returning.

Nice pub, staff are friendly. BUT. The only vegan choices for main meals are curry, which is far too hot, or chilli. Not everyone likes spicey food. I can't even have the veggie burger because there's cheese in it. The two starters are better choices. I did order these as a main, twice, but they came first and the people with me had to wait for their food. Why not put theses as a main also.

We had a 73rd birthday on Halloween, everything was great. Good atmosphere, friendly staff and all meals were fantastic. The food was hot and it all arrived together no one was waiting for their meal. I'm a fussy eater and mine was exactly what I asked for, couldn't fault any of it Thank you for the service. Previous visit a few years ago was not the same experience as last night.

We didn't have food but have always threatened too as it looks amazing. Just drinks and a catch up with family. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.

Had a meal for two mid afternoon on a week day. Very slow service at the bar when firstly ordering drinks and secondly food and it wasn't busy. Sticky dirty menus could do with a good wipe. I had difficulty ordering the food as person taking the order didn't seem to understand how the till/order system worked and tried overcharging me by £6. I ordered Piri Piri chicken for two. It arrived fairly promptly and was pretty average apart from the sauce on the chicken. No idea what it was - an orangey/red colour not much taste to it - but definitely not Piri Piri. No staff member came along after we were served to check if all was ok. Our used/dirty plates sat in front of us for about half an hour so we placed them on the end of the bar. They were still there, about 3 metres from the kitchen entrance, when we left half an hour later! We were sat looking out at the smoking area which was gross. Overflowing ashtrays - like a week's worth - and filthy tables, moved our chairs so we were not facing it. No objection to there being a smoking area but someone i.e. staff should be bothered to keep it clean. Not sure what has happened to this pub as I have had numerous enjoyable meals there in the past but not been for about 9 months. There is definitely a change in service standard and general atmosphere. Will not be visiting again.

Best pub in South Wales by a long way! Peaceful, friendly staff and lots of lovely people in there. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Couldn’t smell our food it stunk of dog. They were in the pub area and restaurant which I found very unhygienic. I counted 11 dogs who were all barking and fighting felt very unsafe with young children around. Would not go back again.

Lovely meal, great service . Give it a try you won’t be disappointed, bar looks really inviting and will return at some point

Took my puppy in for the second time..very happy with seating...however they forgot my choc fudge cake!!! and had to be reminded TWICE.!!! When it arrived it was lovely

No beer mats again, tables still sticky, seat covering ripped( has been for months). Again lack of stock ( today no Nan breads).

Had a lovely lunch time meal here last week. Staff were really friendly and gave us a warm welcome. Food and drinks were excellent.

Went here after not being able to have food at the West House

My wife and I had steak one afternoon, mine should have been medium but turned up raw. Then we tried Sunday lunch which was like something out of a Tesco microwave meal. Both meals terribly overpriced. I've just left there having popped in for a quick pint. Stood by the bar and must have been transparent as everyone who arrived after me was getting served before me. I told the manageress and immediately left. I'd leave zero stars if possible. Will be looking for a new pub even if it's a drive away. Shame because I'm within walking distance of this one.

Maybe if the lady showing you to your table smiled once in a while, it would brighten the place up. Didn't enjoy the carvery as the roasted potatoes were not roasted they were baked, which is a big difference from roasted spuds. I am very disappointed, especially with my granddaughter, her boyfriend, my great-granddaughter, and my wife for what should have been a lovely dinner. 😌😌 x

Had a lovely catch up with my family here , added bonus kids ate for £1 I had the chicken and bacon salad which I love as I'm on a diet . Everyone's food looked great and the kids enjoyed .

This friendly pub serves good food at reasonable prices, with only a short wait for the food. Recommend

The Llangewydd Arms has gone from strength to strength under Hannah's management. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and there is always a lovely atmosphere here. I'm really glad to have such a lovely local pub on my doorstep. 👍🏻

The food was fair value for money. It wouldn't be fair to rate the atmosphere because they had bingo on.

I visited with friends . The service was excellent . The staff were very friendly especially Mo who was very helpful & also very funny🌟 The food was fabulous 😋 & we will certainly be visiting again

Worse bbq chicken melt ever. Five of us had this and no one could eat it . The chicken was so tough it was inedible. Complained to waitress, who told the chef. There was no response. Awful service, very cold in the bar too.

Sunday lunch today! Well what can I say! One of the best Sunday pork with all the trimmings dinners I’ve ever had! Was expecting a pub lunch but instead had a gastro pub quality dinner! Perfectly cooked pork with stuffing and cracking! Crispy seasoned roasts, fluffy on the inside. Delicious fresh seasonal vegetables and the gravy was to die for! As my 11 year old son said “just divine!” We won’t be going anywhere else! Fantastic staff and lovely dog friendly pub! A credit to the stead! Well done guys ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A group of men on table sixteen this afternoon were disgusting with their foul mouths. They were in close proximity to two young kids approx age 8-10 and still constantly swore. They had many hand free phone calls which again was full of swearing. What is a very family friendly pub is being ruined by a small minority. I had to laugh when a member of staff asked politely for the loudest man to please stop swearing and his answer was I’m not swearing!😅.

The best pub around Bridgend, great atmosphere, brilliant staff and the food is just amazing!!! HIGHLY recommend this pub to anyone!! Won’t go anywhere else since I found this place

I was thrown out because a regular of theirs tried fighting me. Definitely unfair favoritism. She even checked the cameras and knows I wasn't in the wrong but I still haven't heard any apology off the owner for false accusations.

Great service, good choice of gluten free food.

I live about a ten minute walk away, pop in quite often for a few beers and a meal We had two very nice burgers on the Tuesday deal and a few beers and a coffee Only down side was most of the tables were reserved but nobody there after time they were reserved for, nearly went else where. The young man at the bar cleared a few tables for us and a few other people looking for food. Could very well have lost the trade if not for him. Reluctant to walk that far to be turned away with empty tables available, we made the effort to turn up a phone call and then not turn up is not good enough. How many potential customers went else where on this occasion and maybe many others.

Hannah hosted our wedding day/night she set the whole place up as we asked and listened to every fine detail we wanted! She hosted food and we had a grazing table+Sliced meat for food! The effort put into the food was exceptional and the taste was out of this world it was amazing. Hannah hosted games through the day and kept all the guest happy and occupied and made the whole event amazing! It Was a pleasure to have our wedding held there I couldn’t recommend Llangewydd arms any more than I have it’s an exceptional pub. Thank you so much to all the staff who made our day so special!

We attended a wedding here last night, it was absolutely amazing. Hannah the host welcomed us and ensured all guest were comfortable and enjoying. Games were hosted that kept everyone entertained and delicious food suitable for everyone. Would highly recommend.

Went for a meal and while the food was great enjoyed the steak, the staff were plain rude and the way they spoke to custmers was disgusting! To hear one of the male staff say he was going to be swinging punches soon to the whole bar was the cherry on top. Shame as the price and food were great. Massively let down by the staff.

Mixed grill was terrible steak was poor and chewy, menu predicable and a copy of thousands of others Staff were good but food poor

Thrilled to witness the Llangewydd Arms reclaiming its former charm! After a stint as a sports bar with gaudy decor, it's now back to its warm, cosy roots. During a recent lunch visit, I savored the familiar traditional ambiance with a modern touch. The menu might not be flashy, but my scampi and chips hit the spot. Affordable, ample portions, and timely service make it a family favourite once again. Perfect for locals seeking a friendly atmosphere and comfortable seating for easy conversations. Only complaint is the temperature of the premises, to cold anywhere in front of the bar. When you speak to some staff they say they are boiled maybe because they’re working. Not an enjoyable experience.

Lovely Sunday roast , all tidy, and very good service. We booked because of the fast chargers- we will come again!

We were travelling back from a family event in West Wales and needed both to stop for lunch and to rapidly recharge our electric car. We had a lovely Sunday lunch, friendly and impeccable service that made us very welcome, and beautifully clean interior. We will be back!

very polite bar staff, food ordered cod and chips mushy peas and surf and turf with a naked salad. food arrived quite quickly but unfortunately the salad ordered with the surf and turf wasn't naked, bar staff took the order back but brought it out after a few mins to tell us that the salad had no dressing on at all as requested, but my partner knowing her salad was adamant that there was some sort of oil or salad dressing of some kind. My cod and chips was perfect, but needless to say my partner was disappointed and only ate her steak and scampi leaving the "undressed salad" where it was. We have a family gathering just after Christmas when we will be attending the pub, so hopefully this salad issue will be addressed by then

Lovely meal and band playing. Only thing that spoilt it was children still running around at 10.30pm on a Saturday night when parents are out drinking and taken their kids along. Children should be asked to leave much much earlier in pubs in a Saturday night.

Lovely quiet beer garden, friendly staff. Delicious ice cream. The woo woo cocktail is very refreshing and great in the heat.

Food is edible and very slow at delivering from the moment of ordering. Very clean restaurant with lovely friendly staff.

Great lunch with a varied menu. Kids meals were a really good size and my Nacho's were 'banging'. Really clean toilets which was a nice surprise for such a busy pub. Oh and electric car chargers too. This place has def gone up in all aspects since I lived in Broadlands 5 years ago.

My favourite local! Always something fun going on due to the management making it more of an experience there rather than ‘just a normal pub’. It has changed so much since Hannah took over. And all for the better, having lived on Broadlands 12 years, before you never saw the manager. Now she’s always checking in on her customer, which is what a local pub needs. Keep up the good work!

Booked for a birthday meal, absolutely amazing service! The food was phenomenal, really fast service times and friendly staff that made us feel right at home from the beginning! Couldn’t recommend them enough, especially as were were a large party. 10/10 will be visiting again asap!

Lovely place, local for me , helpful staff. Unfortunately the only vegetarian option for Sunday lunch included cheese, which for me is a no. I accepted the veggie burger as an alternative but was disappointed to see that it resembled meat in appearance, once cut.

Stopped in for a drink enroute from the beach. Staff/servers were lovely and friendly. Downside: Ordered a burger in the weekday, wasn’t busy. Waited 50 minutes for a burger and chips, which was missing a pot of sauce. Long wait times for food.

Waitress by the name of Erin aggressively told me to shut up after I thanked her for serving our drinks. I feel as though this is unprofessional and I believe this attitude towards customers should not be acceptable in the work place

First visit for us and won't be last. Large party in 1 area but a large seating area other side of pub, which was nice and cosy. Plenty of team on shift, so no wait to order. Food came out quickly which was hot, tasty and well presented. Team were friendly and very busy.

First time here , late on a Fri evening so my experience is limited . Nice surroundings, but pricey on the drinks , didn't eat so can't comment..seemed like they had live music there when I went .....was ok ...will give u an update ......

A group of 5 of us had a fab evening here recently. It was a Friday night and the pub was very busy. Food was great and the service was really good particularly Jake the barman who didn’t stop collecting empties, serving and dealing with queries. We will definitely be back. 😂

Food was average, fair price I guess for the quality of it altho the cauliflower florets in my burger was not hot! The lady serving us was absolutely clueless, and rather rude! Asked simple question and acted like it was a complete inconvenience to know how much extra sweet potato fries would be. She called my friend confusing and continued to make a fuss.. Took us over 10 minutes to order a simple meal. Won't be returning.

First impressions, lovely layout, spotlessly clean, bar staff were really polite and happy, but the food was absolutely delicious, nothing was to much trouble at all, will definitely recommend friends and family, Thankyou for a great experience
