I cannot fault the price or the service we received. There are a lot of negative reviews and those seem to be when it's really busy. So my only advice is to go when it's not really busy.

Staff are friendly enough but was given a dirty beer glass and when requested a clean one was given another dirty one. Disgusting!! Food was tasteless and ordered tea and had to make it myself. Definitely won’t be visiting there again! Disgrace

My family and I visited last night. We had great service from Maya, Charlie and Sean at the bar. The food was very tasty and very affordable! The kids loved the climbing frame in the garden as we enjoyed some of the lovely cocktails.

I visited this "pub" with my family for the day and had an awful experience. We had to send 2 burger dishes back to the kitchen as they were burnt to a crisp and looked like cancer-causing hockey pucks! The servers and bar staff were incredibly rude, especially the man with the blonde curly hair at the bar. I will not be returning here as I value my health and appreciate being talked to with respect. Avoid.

We had a lovely family lunch today at The Hungry Horse in Chertsey. We sat outside in a nice shaded area out of the sun and my son had lots of fun playing on the climbing frame whilst we waited for our food. The food arrived within great time and was hot. We really enjoyed our meals. The waitress and bar staff were very friendly and attentive. We will definitely go back again.

Very good!!!, everything great!!!, and Yaiza's attention is a 10!!!. To repeat without a doubt.

Food is really nice had to wait an hour and a half for the food to arrive the other half of my table had thiers first when the other half had to wait longer if you are in a rush don't bother coming here.

Lovely Hungry Horse to go to if you are coming from Thorpe Park and wanting a bit to eat for dinner. One of my favourite Hungry Horse pubs around! The deals they do are quite good and it can sometimes save you quite a bit of money so I would definitely recommend!!

Visited on Sunday evening (18th) and had booked a table for the 5 of us. There was clearly a staffing issue, as it took an absolute age to get served, as the poor lass working on the bar was alone, and no one came to her aide to serve myself and other waiting customers. To further compound our visit it took the best part of 45 minutes to receive our starters, and almost an hour for our main courses. We did not order deserts in fear of still being sat waiting late at night. Clearly resourcing of staff needs to be looked at, as this left us (3 adults and 2 children) very disappointed

We went on a Monday evening. Extremely understaffed. Tables weren't cleaned, not enough people serving, no air conditioning and the food took approx 40 mins to serve. The staff did what they could and were extremely polite but it is telling by management if they put their staff under pressure during peak periods. They got my order wrong but offered courtesy drinks which was extremely nice. The food was mediocre but I would not go back. Well done for the Monday night staff.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Food arrived promtly. Portions were a good size and presented nicely. Large choice of food on the menu. Clean and tidy.

Food was fine, but seriously understaffed. No one to welcome you. Have to queue with the beer buyers to ask for our pre-booked table. Then queue again to place our order. Then 50 minutes for the food to arrive. Then had to go and get condiments ourselves from near front door. This is not operating like a restaurant.

Quoted 45 minutes at the till when ordering, was told if we ordered starters we would have to wait 45 minutes then another 45 minutes on top for the mains. We opted not to get the starter but have currently waited over 1 hour and 15 minutes for the main course to be served. Will not be returning again, staff appear disorganised. The food was mediocre and nothing to write home about.

What an amazing sunday so busy the pub atmosphere couldn’t have been better! Everyone was having laugh, my family made new friends with table next to us outside kids got along so well thank you again to all staff for making it a fun day recommend the new supper special lamb flatbread

The place is nice with potential but little used. Last year it seemed like they wanted to renovate the playground but instead they just added colored panels to the existing structure instead of enlarging it given the space. The burgers are usually good, but this time we decided to try the Saturday Special, as we had never done so. You could see that whoever cooked the lamb dishes had no idea how to cook them, they were inedible. You are an English pub, cook things that are traditional to you please! Ice cream for kids just a ball for £2 to add to the kids menú. I'm sorry because we went often.

I visit this place every Thursday and have never had such a bad experience before. The waitress was rude, and I had to wait 1 hour and 20 minutes because they forgot about my order. There was no apology or attempt to make things right. Very disappointed.

Noticed that you pay for extra of everything, which is £2 and they give you a bigger plate with an extra roast potato and Yorkshire. Hardly any gravy. Overall, 5 out of 10. Waitress was rude after asking how long food would be. All tables were taken or reserved, so had to wait. Nice to see it has changed for the better. Good food and good people.⁹

The food was good apart from the half roast chicken, which was a bit dry, and the bbq sauce was quite spicy but nice. The grandchildren loved the tomato pasta.

Nice big pub, big garden and play area. Food was well priced , but the curry portion size reflected the cheap price. Not enough staff on a hot Saturday afternoon, a few members of family got their food served much later than I , despite ordering at around the same time using the app. Children were hungry , waited too long.

Not a very good experience at all. This place used to be amazing but has gone down the pan. On arrival, who I believe to be management told us there is a 45 minute wait for food. She delieverd in such a tone that it was almost like she couldn't be bothered. Anyway we decided to order, as she was taking our orders she was too busy bouncing around acting like she needed a pee. She clearly found it amusing but everyone else was telling her to take a break as it was pretty annoying. She took our orders and completely missed my own order as she was too busy clowning around and distracted. When the food came, mine was missing and I was told it was now to late to order. The same person said that I clearly didn't order it (when I did)and said she read me back the order at the time (which she didn't). She offered no resolution and was really acting out in front of other punters that seemed to find it funny. The food that arrived was of terrible quality. The sizzling plate lacked the vegetables and was not sizzling, the salmon wasn't in anyway hot. The other food was lacklustre and a cheese burger was missing the cheese and tasteless. There was no cutlery and when it arrived it was dirty. The ice cream that we also order took over an hour to arrive. Alot of people where fed up and asked for their food/ dessert to be takeaway. To add to all of this, people were smoking weed in the playground which showed a complete disregard for us and the 6 kids we had with us. I am not sure how the staff did not pick up on this, you could smell it as soon as you walked out into the garden from the pub. I understand that it was slightly busy but the level of service was horrendous. The food quality was lacking and so was the care of the staff. I will never been returning here. I will be formally reporting to the head office of the Hungry Horse chain.

On arrival the outside space looked well attended to with a few families enjoying a bit of sunshine. We wanted to order some drinks from the bar, so we waited at the bar, unaware that we were supposed to only order at a certain till point. We asked someone who was apparently not serving, who told us that the server would be with us when she was free. Eventually we gave up and order via the app (which is apparently is what the company is aiming for). We ordered chicken wings from the "sharing" section. These came in a basket with no plates and nowhere to put the empty bones. The only option was to put the bones that someone else had sucked next to the wings yet to be eaten 🤢🤮 We were told to collect knives, forks and sauces from the self service station. We were looking for bbq Sauce, but we were faced with 18 bottles with barely a drbble in each. There were no knives at the station. We asked 2 different members of staff, but knives did not arrive. Finally we asked what seemed to be the supervisor/manager and at some point the knives must have arrived at the station. Unfortunately we were unaware of their arrival and spent the majority of the main course with just forks. It was clear throughout that the only member of staff that was actually efficient was the supervisor, but she certainly wanted the whole pub to know it. On to the food. One dish was eaten by an 18 Yr old, so I can't really comment as he will literally eat anything that's put in front of him. My brothers chicken burger was below expectations and was left largely untouched. My seabass was OK and the veg was really good. The mash however, had been so overmicrowaved that the edges were Crispy. Overall, the experience was that the service has been stripped back to such a point that there is none. Given that hospitality is a service driven industry, we found the whole thing disappointing. Its not the fault of the staff, more of the company cutting costs. Having been several times in the past, I really think this visit was our last.

Service could be a lot better. Last time we went, they got the order wrong twice. The coke was flat. Glasses were left on the bar, and the tables needed clearing. Obviously, not enough staff working. It's a shame as we've never had problems in the past.

Walked in, and was standing at the bar for 5 minutes until we had to search for someone. Said we made a res and was told to go look for a table with our name on. Never been here before so was new to us. Then got told " no just find any seat " No crayons for the kids unfortunately so they was board waiting. Got a table ( restaurant was pretty empty ) and went to order. Stood for what seemed to be at least 7-8 minutes till our order was taken. Half the menu was not available from food and drinks. Witnessed staff arguing about being sent home because they wasn't doing enough work. Then food came, pretty quick, tasted really nice ( kids meals and combo plater was fantastic) then at the end we saw another 2 staff arguing again. Table service was really nice, I think we just came on a bad day if I'm honest. So a very mixed but honest review.

Pretty good Hungry Horse pub with good value food and drinks. They actually done a blue steak which come to me warm!!

Great service as always. Charlie we noticed also helps serving the food very friendly always talks ready to solve any problems if there are any.

Regarded as one of my local pubs. The Twynersh is a large pub with food from The Hungry Horse brand so cheap and cheerful. Great for kids and families Peroni on tap and special nights for meal deals. Tonight was curry and a drink for £7 and also wine Wednesday a bottle for £8! Emily one of the bar staff was super helpful and attentive and she is an absolute asset to the establishment. She changed tables for me when i requested it and was great throughout our stay. One let down was the portion of chips. Last week we were served with a decent size portion. This week. Not great. The waitress was not helpful either. It seems to depend on what chef is working in here as to the standard/ portion size that you, as a paying customer gets. This needs attention. I was let down tonight. I will be back though as generally we have a fab time here. Thank you

Terrible service. Waited almost over an hour for some of our meals. Not even a 'sorry for the wait' acknowledgement. Drinks took so long we had to collect them ourselves from the bar. Definitely enough staff working.

Booked a table on line for 20:45, after a day out at Thorpe Park. Arrived and made the bar staff aware that we had arrived, to be told the kitchen was shut and no food was available. They insisted they had called everyone that the kitchen was closing early. They didn’t call me and implied that I was lying! The staff were rude and unapologetic. Not on my list of places to return to from this experience.

The customer service here, well absolutely disgusting. The staff have no people skills what so ever. The blonde girl with the pony tail huffing and puffing because my friend asked for more lemonade in her drink as it was half filled. Never again will I be coming for food or the lack of costumer service. As for the staff …. Maybe find another job if you cant put a smile on your face or the fact you clearly cannot work in a high pressured environment.

We came here once for a meal. There are loads of offers and deals on each day. Which is a nice variation so you not missing out when you come. We came for a meal and have been coming every week as there is a local pub quiz on every Tuesday. This is a great way of entertainment and spending time with friends and family and having a laugh. I would highly recommend this quiz night. It runs from 8-10 and it is the best bit of evening fun. Questions for everyone.

Really nice food and the prices are so reasonable especially for the area! We went to Thorpe park and came here for dinner. We’re glad we ignored some of the negative reviews. You get the cutlery and sauces yourself and we orders through the app which is super easy, food service and drink service also so quick!! No complaints.

Arrived at 19:15pm with my 4 children, my mother and father in law. Ordered food around 19:30pm of 4 kids meals, southern fried chicken wrap with cheesy chips and a southern fried chicken baguette with NO MAYO. We waited 27 minutes before asking at the bar with what we told there was 2 more tables in front of us to get there food….. over an HOUR LATER after moving from outdoors to indoors and informing the bar staff member of our table change, we still had no food or nothing….. still after an hour and 10 minutes…. Still no food arriving, the staff member at the bar came and asked what our food order was, after repeating this back to him, he said oh yes I remember now and off he went…. After an HOUR AND 20 MINUTES, the food EVENTUALLY arrived. The kids meals were absolutely fine, my mother in laws food was wrong after ordering without mayo, it turned up with mayo, it was lucky she didn’t eat it as she has an allergy to sauces and was lucky she didn’t eat it as this could of ended up with serious complications and would of ended up in hospital. The cheesy chips….. well that was disappointing, hardly any chips or hardly any cheese. Was definitely a waste of £3.79. No apologies from the staff, no nothing…… we are very disappointed with this and not impressed with the service we have received this evening.

We visited here for the first time yesterday (05.05.24) We ordered via the app which was useful, however we were then not told of the long wait for food, we were just left. 40 mins later our food arrived. I ordered the mixed grill and my husband the cheeseburger. Firstly when they did bring the food, the waiter just put the food on the table, left us with no knives and forks and sauces and just walked off, we hadn’t been there before so we were not to know you had to get your own and where to get them from. I ordered my steak rare, it was well overcooked, the chicken was overcooked, dry and quite chewy, the chips were over cooked as well. My husband’s burger was also burnt. We didn’t look / take interest in the reviews as we like to give places a chance, however we wish we had of now as it was money wasted on food that was not nice at all. The service from the staff was also not the best.

Chef on shop floor arguing with bar staff to serve....bar staff smoking in a time of need! Absolute shambles, never seen anything like it 😅 Waited for so so long for our food!! Still waiting.....it hasn't even arrived yet and have made the decision not to bother visiting again. Staff seem thin in the ground but not informed of a long wait. Been here since 18.30 and it is now 20.15 and no food! Food now arrived finally at 20.30....2 hours after we arrived! Food is good, standard hungry horse....thank goodness!!
