Great touch to our hire boat experience, it’s near millennium bridge and the ice cream is Beautiful and you can pull your boat up to the side of it which is great fun.

We had decided to go for a walk along the riverside in York, near where we live. The sun came out and we decided to have an ice cream from the boat by Millennium Bridge. It was quite busy, but the guy serving on was still polite, and cared on the presentation of the ice cream. Our cones were delicious. Would recommend.

Really good ice cream with a variety of interesting flavours including rhubarb (especially delicious), honeycomb and chocolate and cherry. Cheaper than the prices in central York too.

Always a treat to see the Ice Cream boat moored up when I’m walking over Millennium Bridge with the hound! Great service, relieved to see they take contactless payments as I was caught without cash on this occasion. Superb quality ice cream: I had a scoop each of Rhubarb and Lemon Curd, and Maggie the Greyhound equally enjoyed the tub of Vanilla. Friendly service from Ryan, too. Many thanks for adding a very satisfied zip in our step on the remainder of the dog walk!

Horrible desagradable individual.

I was almost put off by the boat thing. Obviously the kids were loving the idea but I'd formed an impression it would be Mr Whippy on the water! How wrong. The ice cream is actually the real deal and would be worth seeking out even if it were being sold in the dullest corner of the dullest street in the city. The fact it's being sold by a boat on the river instead? Well, it's a winning recipe.

We like to get ice cream from the boat when we're walking past, don't know how much of that is the gimmick of the boat really. It's popular, so be prepared for a bit of a queue when it's sunny (especially as service tends to be a bit slow - but one person moving around a boat is not not going to be rapid). The ice cream is very nice but it's a bit expensive for the portion size.

Dreadful customer service - young guy and girl serving simply chatted for ages to their own friends and ignored customers waiting. My companion was about to walk away in disgust after ten minutes. Not even an acknowledgement to those waiting. Highly unprofessional to treat your own mates and leave the regular punters waiting.

Its a boat. It sells ice cream. Brilliant ice cream. It parks by Millennium Bridge on sunny summer afternoons. You can purchase your ice creams on foot from the riverbank (an ideal riverside walk from the city centre) or from your little red boat on the river (without even getting out). Ice creams start at £2 a scoop and there are about 10 'regular' flavours and a handful of specials. Of the regulars I can rarely get past the cherry swirl, which is absolutely fantastic and has chunks of cherry in. They also do sorbets and dairy-free ice cream. There are lots of lovely spots to sit and eat - on the river bank or on the grass in the sunshine or dappled shade. Summer afternoon perfection.

We're regulars here as we live in York. Just enjoyed their weekend special salted caramel ice cream which surpassed my previous favourite lemon curd. Take a stroll or a bike ride along the river to find it, or you can pull up on a hire boat too! Their ice cream is almost the best in York.

What's not to love? Ice cream by the river. The ice cream boat is such a lovely idea. You can cycle or walk down to the river and buy an ice cream or you can sail past on the river-side in a boat and moor beside the window. This is one of those things that just makes you smile.

What do you do when you're taking a nice summer stroll down the river and find yourself suddenly desperately in need of an ice cream? Stop at Millenium Bridge and buy one from this converted ice cream truck, which floats! The novelty of it isn't the best part either, that's definitely the ice cream, which is really creamy and comes in interesting flavours as well as the classics, and they also have specials to keep the menu fresh.. and they sell sorbet too, which was great for my lactose intolerant friend. I go there whenever I want ice cream, highly recommended.

Very rude Barmaid towards myself and four friends on Saturday night 2 November, when she gave us the wrong drink with our order .All 5 of us were shocked with her attitude when she was asked politely to correct the mistake.Only when l got back to the table did l realise she had charged me £29.65 gor 5 drinks all costing around 5.20. My friends decided not to make an issue to avoid a continuation of her aggressive response.Description on the barmaid shortish ,Stout, with Halloween makeup on.Pity because the pub surround very pleasant

Unfortunately we were let down at another pub who were meant to be catering for us for a family party of 14 people. At the last minute the Broken Bridge were able to accommodate us. Everyone said how nice the food was and the staff were lovely and really helpful.
