Come here all the time. It's like a home from home. All the staff are brilliant, the kids love it and get spoilt and treated like royalty by the team. Jordan is brilliant with the little ones. Nicky runs a fantastic boozer and there's something for everyone. Wether it's dinner with the family or just a few pints with your pals this is my go to place for every occasion. Thanks for looming after us and making us feel so welcome every time!

Always enjoy here. The food is great, served promptly and reasonably priced. Polite and friendly staff. Have visited twice recently (Oct and Nov 24) and it's always good here - Daniel is very welcoming. Our local hungry horse is The Old Red Lion in Stevenage but we always come here instead as it is so nice.

Came here for my son's birthday! Everything from start to finish was amazing and he thoroughly loved his meal card and pudding!

Was our sons 9th birthday today, and everything from arrival to leaving was perfect! Daniel made extra efforts to make it special from a birthday card on arrival to candles in his candy mania ans playing the happy birthday song aswell as singing happy birthday when giving him his pudding! Thank you so much!! Our favourite place to come for birthdays :)

Lovely staff. Lovely food. Played the tombola & staff member Daniel kindly swapped the toy with won with another for my children.

We visited on Saturday night for a family meal. We couldn't work out how to use Tesco vouchers through the App so we asked at the bar and the staff there put the order through manually for us and took the discount off (well worth doing!) The food was delicious - a great range of traditional food to choose from. We were just a little sad that we didn't have room for the desserts - I had my heartbeat on a horse shoe doughnut - we will have to come back and teybthem anothern time!

Had an absolutely amazing late lunch. Danny was warm and welcoming and Lily made sure we were well taken care of. Amelia cooked our steaks and they were fantastic as usual. Thank you very much Two Chims

As usual lovely experience and food. I love to come here just to spend some time, enjoy coffee or food with faniky or just on my own. Lovely service from Libby and perfectly cooked steak from Amelia.

My partner and I went at the busiest time with only 1 chef, 1 waitress and 1 bar manager. Great food, fab value, and wonderful service. Thank you for the great steaks Daniel and for excellent personalised customer care to the other Daniel!

Awful awful food. Chips hard and old, salad brown. Missing items. Beef/steak inedible. Roast potatoes can't be cut. Mashed potato grey. Had to ask for our foo took two hours in total for 3 people. Excellent young staff and received a full refund. Honestly got to say the worst food we have ever had.

Fantastic welcome and great staff. The food took along time to come and they tried to send the starters at the same time as the main. The starter was missing items that was out of stock. I had a mixed grill that had under cooked and over cooked items and recooked old chips on it. My wife had roast beef, that you needed a chain saw to cut with a mix of day old reheated and new roast potatoes on it. Hats off to the manger who listened and apologised and refunded the meal. But as for any basic food standards , none is perlight.

Popped in with my wife after recently moving to the area. Ordered 2 Turkey roasts as they were the only 1’s available at 4:30pm. Food was paltry and miserable looking, Turkey Poloney would be a more accurate description. No carrots as shown on menu, reheated mash potato, yellow, quite firm, not filling, satisfying or tasty at all. This is a shame considering the staff are very helpful and friendly, attentive, and the pub itself is clean, well presented and well looked after. Perhaps not worrying about food being aesthetically presentable and ostentatious and actually feeding people good solid food would probably encourage us to return on a regular basis.

Found the perfect spot in the restaurant and knew I was in for a time of great food and drink. Food was scrumptious, staff were welcoming and worked swiftly. Enough said will be coming again.

Booked table for 3.15 arrived early which was fine placed order of 2 roast dinners and 1 cauli cheese , waited for 45 minutes before food arrived cold and veg on plate was inedible very disappointing as had heard good things about the place

We visit regularly, always have good food at good prices. The staff team are friendly & attentive. The Two Chimneys is my disabled son’s favourite place to go and have lunch. We are always made to feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble. Thanks so much.

I use this place to pop in during my dog walks & sometimes for a swift couple after work. Always very welcoming & truly dog friendly. They have even gone out of their way to cook the dogs a couple of sausages. I haven’t eaten here as I generally don’t eat out however the food seems to be very popular at a very realistic price. 👍

I ordered a lasagne, it was dry, rubbery, and not edible. Two desserts that we ordered were missing two main ingredients we asked why but was told had gone bad so was thrown away but they didn't think to mention that to us hoping we wouldn't notice

Ordered a lasagne, it was rubbery , hard and cold ,we ordered two deserts , two things where missing from one and the main ingredient was missing out of the second but instead of just informing us they just dumped it on the table in front of us and didn't say anything hoping we wouldn't notice it , and then when we went to ask what was going on with it they told us they had to throw some of the ingredients away because they had gone bad and some of the other ingredients where hiding inside the ice cream , we was offered a coffee to rectify the problem which is absolutely ridiculous, disappointed and would not recommend

Took my family out tonight daughters lasagne was dry/burnt as was the garlic bread I had a burger sizzler the burger was cold candy mania was ice-cream and cream 1 flake a and a couple of small brown balls nothing like advertised and the horseshoe donut was dry with no fresh strawberries when I spoke to the staff member about it she said OH THATS OUR BAD do you want a coffee to which I was shocked and outraged I won't be returning after paying over £70 for the food served and being told they don't do refunds absolutely disgusting service and rude unprofessional staff.

We went to two chimneys as it’s a local reliable place to eat with the family. This visit exceeded expectations thanks to the lovely Daniel. He made our day by spoiling our daughter with sweets and the lucky dip. She had a lot of fun. He’ll never know how sweet that was as we’d been having a rough time as a family due to illness and we were there just to not have to cook. Thanks for making it a fun visit Daniel

The dirtiest empty tables I have ever seen in a pub. Tables had nothing on them but dirt

I have frequented this pub many times and the only issue we have had was screaming children in the garden but the pub was packed to the rafters because of the massive beer garden, This evening I had Lovely Steak and Chips and my partner had a Gravy Dippy Burger thingy and although my Steak was great I was kinda jealous!!! Ho hum that's food envy for you 😋. The service was good and everyone was lovely and I will be back for that Gravy burger!

Have had 3 meals here and not 1 has been edible on first time of serving and had to be sent back to kitchen. RUMPSTEAK so raw it could have walked off plate! GAMMON with egg, so overcooked it was hard boiled! KORMA curry, served without rice and substituted with chips WITHOUT ANY CONSULTATION WITH CUSTOMER To change meal ordered...just plain rude. The Korma was awful, reconstituted chicken bits hard and a very curious colour. The staff have NO customer facing skills, lack basic aptitude of providing 'service' are disinterested, dismissive and just want to PLONK a plate down and walk away. If one speaks then it's speaking to customers in a dictatorial and condescending manner.

Excellent food, best I've had in a long time (Monty mixed grill) everything was cooked to perfection. Hats off to the chef, we will definitely be going again.

Came to lunch with my nan and granddad as this is their favourite place for lunch. Service is always impeccable (thank you Daniel) and food is delicious (thank you kitchen staff). Lubo my 9 month old puppy loved the dog corner with blankets and toys not to mention the sausages😂😎

Went today and I had the mushroom and gravy pie, horrible ,when I asked lovely waitress why no meat pies was told you can order them online, I had no signal on phone but she said “ we have got wi fi” it’s got to be better to have working wi fi. I couldn’t eat my meal and when she asked if she could get me anything else, I said yes a bin to put this horrible food in, I bet the bin would have refused it

Lovely food, new menu looks very tempting. Clear signage throughout the pub. Warm welcome and conversation at the bar (rare these days!). We moved tables and it wasn't an issue whatsoever. The waitress who served us we recognised from coming before as she has an extremely polite, friendly manner and was happy to assist us. Food is good quality(we had the lamb kofta wraps) and a very reasonable price. Music is appropriate and just in the background-which creates a very calm vibe. Looking forward to returning Returned again a couple weeks later and was served by the lovely Lilly-Mai. Very polite, friendly and helpful. Good luck in your new role

Decided to have lunch in the spur of the moment, and so glad we did! Took advantage of the Friday Burger BOGOF deal and sat in the garden to take advantage of the sunshine. Delicious burgers, quick and friendly service, always a great idea!

Quite possibly the worst meal I have ever eaten. Powdered mash potato, run out of carrots, chicken and coleslaw. Also they did not have a chainsaw for us to use to cut the steak, so had to leave it. On a positive the parking is free.

Just a big Well done to Daniel and Team for making us so welcome 31 July . Our first time to the Pub was on our way to Lavender Fields stopped off for a Beer in the Sun . A really lovely lunchtime visit! We sat in the garden and ordered through the app. The service was very prompt, smiley and welcoming. The food was delicious, piping hot and really well presented! We had intended to only have a little lunchtime bite, but stayed to enjoy a portion of the Millionaires Cheesecakes and some more drinks. I highly recommend a visit. I’ll be back to try all of the other dishes on the menu!

My sister and I and 93 year old father stopped early yesterday for coffee and were delighted by the friendly welcome by staff. We were shown a lovely table overlooking the window and given menus. We looked through the extensive interesting menu which had something for everyone whilst enjoying the delicious coffee. I had Earl Grey Tea because I ‘m dairy intolerant. I approached staff about my dietary requirements and they were very helpful. I chose Salmon Sizzler, which came with a choice of two sides and dips. It was a lovely hot day so a fresh green salad and Jacket potato were perfect accompaniments to a perfect salmon fillet. Dad treated us to our meal and drinks and he loved a perfect pint of beer! A lovely lunch well priced too. The restaurant area filled up but there was plenty of space and a relaxed pleasant family atmosphere.

My wife and here go regularly for drinks and sometimes food. Always plenty of parking and seating. The staff are very friendly and the manager is a really wonderful person. Very chatty and has plenty of time for you.

Been to this pub several times on my holiday in England and must say the food is always enjoyable and the staff are very friendly. Food is always hot, drinks are always cold! Can't beat the price of the deals either. This American loves it! Stanway is the best!
