Twist Dessert Lounge in Harrow

During our visit to UK, we happened to visit here. Amazing taste of ice creams with lots of variety. The staff was extremely pleasant. The owner herself was very kind and attentive. Enjoyed our visit.

We got cake on 20th April red velvet and strawberry and coconut stale dry cake. This is such a disappointment for the 2nd time . The cakes are too dry and stale and twist lounge is going downhill unfortunately.

18 of us went for a celebratory dessert. The food was amazing, hit the mark. Hemangi and Simran accommodated our requests and understood our order quickly and then efficiently made and served it. We were a very large family group with an age range between 4 -50 and all were more than satisfied. Thank you for making our raksha bandhan celebration so fun, easy and tasty.

Milkshake was basically milk, ice cream melted. No MANAGERS to complaint to. All they could say is sorry ! Not good enough. Overly priced, rubbish service. First and last time visiting Twist ! Could of made a better shake myself at home. Sticking to what we know god bless “Baskin & Robin”

Just went in to get some ice cream got 3 scoop and they changed me £8 what a massive joke the ice cream was melting will not be returning

Don't bother with this place, they had no ice cream at all...hottest time of the year and no ice cream? They've missed a trick here. Awful staff...

Ordered via deliveroo, simple meal of cheesy chips and beans twice, as our kitchen is being fitted amd we were hangry. Cost of £16!!! Twist is really nearby yet chips awful really dry, overcooked, greasy, with piddling small ice cream cups of beans, how can you get a meal like chips and beans wrong? If it was generous and nicely cooked and packaged you could be forgiving of the price but this was appalling and we feel ripped off. Deliveroo doesn’t give a refund for this kind of thing. Won’t be ordering again, just can’t believe the gall of it to charge so much and then provide such bad food. Very very unhappy.

I decided to buy some ice creams from Twist. Firstly, the Ferrero Rocher flavour feels like 1 small piece of the chocolate has been mixed into 2 litres of vanilla ice cream. The Chocolate chip had no chips in it and was plain chocolate! There were a few minimal amounts of chips sprinkled on the top but if that was the only place they would be the server should have assured that we got some actual chips in it. Both scoops had no chips in it! What’s the point?? There were a few other minor issues that wouldn’t have mattered but since I have got this awful treatment from the retailer… The senior staff on duty that day had a foul face and did not even acknowledge me. The junior staff was quite nervous around her and left my card in the card machine. To add to the horrible experience and my main reason for the review, I was charged twice!! When I noticed this error on my bank statement I contacted the retailer via email, and provided proof of receipts and screenshots of my bank statement. “Mitul” got back to me and asked for a few days to investigate. After that he emailed me to ask for my no. to discuss and then silence! I received no phone call. I sent two emails after that over the next couple of days and no response, they were ignored. I now have had to contact the fraud department of my bank to recover the money and could have avoided the hassle if “Mitul” had a backbone. Needless to say I will not visit again and please be careful of your card transactions with this company.

Met friends on Sunday evening. Wasn’t busy at all but the staffs were not friendly and looked grumpy rushed us to give order. Foods weren’t up to the standard as expected and heavily overpriced. Toilet weren’t cleaned properly too. Disappointed and won’t go back.

This place is vegetarian friendly as it serves NO meat – they do main meals as well as their desserts. I have tried their paneer wrap, samosas (their food is menu has a mix on Indian and junk-ish food)- I didn’t find their food too spicy but has a good amount of flavour (slightly sweet rather than a tangy/lemony flavour). This may not be appealing to some however if you are Vegetarian then you'll appreciate this Dessert Lounge. I often find some dessert lounges’ to have very dry desserts – most of the time I have to ask for extra melted chocolate which they charge me extra for. But at Twist they absolutely cover your dessert in the melted chocolate, which is perfect for me. Their desserts range is eggless cakes, ice-cream, churros, eggless crepes/pancakes/waffles with a selection of toppings, sundaes, cheesecake, hot cookie dough and apple crumble. Of course, if you follow this diet, you'll appreciate this place, if you don't the likelihood is you won't (for all those who have complained). In my experience, the staff are great and I usually add extra bits to my order, they are usually accommodating to this.

We popped in for a desert and a coffee. We are use to eating good and fresh gelato in many of the ice cream bars in london and were visiting friends locally. The waitress firstly wore her mask barely covering her face and her nose, then when ordering it was unreal in the way she was attitudey, abrupt and short in her approach and demeanor. So much for customer service. The ice cream had ice crystals in it and had formed a skin a classic sign of stale ice cream ( which is why all the stores in London throw it out regularly ) - when we metioned it to the manager, he was very defensive and almost made out that we were making a fuss for no reason. As a paying customer ( its not a cheap place ) he should have been more understanding and listened to our genuine concerns. Reading all the reviews here, I am not surprised that it has so many negative reviews. The whole staff need to go to customer service training and the Manager should be sacked ( he was probably the owner with the arrogance he displayed )

We went to Twist in the evening with family. We ordered the veggie wrap, chips, jacket potato, pasta, churros and ice cream. Food was average. Service was good but they were under staffed. This plays looks premium on their website but its quite basic and lacks detail. Churros portion was small but tasted ok. Ice cream was good. Overall I wasn’t blown away.. it’s average. I wouldn’t return as there are better options locally. Thanks for the lovely service though.

I went with my family yesterday to twist. Food quality was very poor, it appeared ready-made, warmed up and served. Not fresh. Taste was very poor. Samosas were horrible. Falafel wrap was not good. Rest of the food ordered was not that great either. There were mistakes with the rest of our order. One staff was so rude, made faces, had no sense of hospitality or concept of knowing how to be polite with customers. This place was not welcoming. Poor customer service. Deserts were just ok comparatively but everything else was a disaster. The restaurant had everything going on wrong that one should be diligent about. Our whole family were looking forward to this dinner but it turned out to be a first class fiasco. We have been to Twist before and the experience has been very good. I suggest the management closely looks into the flaws and make improvements before it’s too late.

We have been to Twist on many occasions however our last visit was terrible. From the extremely rude waitress who gave us the impression that she didn’t want to be there to the terrible standard of food that was served by the grumpy staff. We will not be going there again and I would urge you to look at other options if you are considering it.

Yesterday we reached there at 10.45pm (close at 11pm) and we were told eat in area was closed. I said my 2 guests have come from long way and we just like to eat desserts. Five minutes later another senior staff came and said same thing and I said we don't mind waiting and at same time, party of 8 were leaving (we were 4) so we waited patiently. Then after another 3 minutes another senior staff (looked like the owner) came and told us no eating in just takeaway do you want it. As I was with the guests I decided to do takeaway. Our order was ready literally in 5 minutes and two tables were empty and there were quite few other customers sitting in and waiting for their food/dessert, so didn't understand why we couldn't have just desserts which was ready in 5 minutes and 2 tables were free!! And to add to their arrogance attitude they charged me full price instead of Eat Out Help Out offer, so I had to pay full price as I my guests were with me. When reached home after 10 minutes waffles were cold soggy and ice cream half melted. The prices are absolutely RIP OFF, on top of that staff & management with very ARROGANT ATTITUDE. This was our first and last visit. NEVER AGAIN

The waiting staff keep their masks off. The place was jammed pack & the manager was letting people queue very closely. Asked for a different flavour icecream in my sundea. Waiting staff VERY RUDELY said no changes. Really ???? What happened to customer service ??? Could be polite. Reading the reviews its surprising this place is still open. They have no regard for their customers.

The place was absolutely rammed and full with no social distancing measures in place at all. There was a queue formed outside, however inside it was heaving and you could barely move. In the end, decided to order a takeaway rather than staying inside. Shocking at how packed it was.

Are you taking the mick. £9 for a pancake, £8.95 for cheesy chips with £4 delivery? No thank you very much.

The owñer/ lead person was rude and very abrupt when taking orders. When questioned about kitchen staff smoking in the back she refuse to except the rear part of the restaurant was filled with cigarette fumes wafting in from the kitchen area. Deserts apple crumble and custard served up like warm. When returned, refused to take the item off the bill.I nor my friends will never go back to this desert parlour.

We had four deserts at £28. All came at different times. The crepe I had was cold & dry. When I complained to staff they could just about speak English so really wasn’t worth wasting my time. She said she couldn’t take the amount off my bill because it had already been processed. I would have been happy with an apple pie & ice cream from Macs.

Ordered food from just eat.45mins of waiting Twist told me no driver had come and for me to collect the food.Raj the “boss” told me I had to pay for food even though I had also paid just eat. An hour since my order the whipped cream had soaked into the crepe and the Mexican pizza was cold but Raj insisted I had to pay.It was also coming up to closing time so they refused to make anything fresh.I had to then search around late into the night for some food for me and my pregnant wife, who was also disappointed when I got home.I understand that the just eat driver had not arrived but twist could have notified me earlier, made something fresh and/or told me I would have had to pay twice for cold food before I left the house!No review of the food just the poor service and lack of understanding from Raj the “boss”.

My friend was house hunting in the area so we thought we’d pop into what we thought was an ice cream parlour. Found that they catered for food allergies & sold savouries as well so we went for it; a falafel deluxe, jacket potato with kidney beans, samosas, a pasta dish & pancakes with chocolate sauce & ice cream. The food wasn’t expensive for what it was but it turned out to be absolutely awful & NOT allergen free as stated. It was all processed or shop bought elsewhere & not freshly made or anything like we’d expected. Just imagine they actually served falafel with fajita bread, not with the Middle Eastern leavened bread that it’s usually served with soggy chips & dry hard jacket potato served with kidney beans & yes corn. Being polite & not wanting to cause a stir, we ate our food anyway especially as I’d not had anything to eat as yet & it was round 15:00. However, my friend ate hardly any of the jacket potato. After we’d paid £40+ we decided to speak to the manager to offer some constructive feedback but surprisingly he wasn’t receptive. Instead of welcoming us he started speaking over us & stated that he’d been open for 8 years & had never had any complaints. He then offered to refund our money but when we got to the till, one of the staff stated that the “food couldn’t have been that bad cos we ate it,” with that the manager changed his mind & stated that he’s only refunding the jacket potato because he knows our type; trying to extort money. WHAT!!! WE’D ALREADY PAID! At this point, we protested because we’d not asked for any money back, he’d offered it so how dare he insult us in this way. The manager refused to apologise, he went on about only refunding the jacket potato which was fine because We hadn’t asked for any money back. Had he really forgotten that he was the one whom had offered it? He then went on to call me a “junkie” & the 3 of us “hooligans” when we protested about his claim that we were trying to extort money, when we’d already paid. IT GOT LOUDER because My other half quite rightly insisted that the manager apologise to us but of course he totally refused and called the police instead. The fact that he’d called us ‘junkies’ & “hooligans” were evidently racist, the connotations of which were strikingly clear, we are all Black.We actually waited for the police to come as we hadn’t done anything, being 3 professionals , we hadn’t conducted ourselves in an inappropriate manner. The police did come fairly quickly & agreed that the manager had behaved inappropriately. Yet in spite of the police presence, neither the manager or any of his staff offered us an apology. Since coming on trip advisor it seems as though this joint has a history of poor food, coupled with unacceptable customer service. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!

“Please could I have a beanie burger with seasoned chips instead of plain?” “Yes, of course”The beanie burger arrives soon after ordering and as you may have guessed, bring on the plain chips. “I’m sorry, I had asked for seasoned chips not plain” “The kitchen can’t make them when it is busy” (4 free tables in the restaurant). “I would like for them to be changed” (plate is taken back to kitchen - arrived back 3 minutes later with a comment, “ they can’t change” ) Not coming back here in a hurry! Terrible customer service.

I don't usually write restaurant reviews, but this place really made me angry and shocked that a place like this can exist and get away with what they are doing. Firstly If you want good deserts, do not go here unless you don't have any concern about the value of money. I do not mind paying high prices where I feel I are getting something good in return, but this place charges high prices for rubbish food and I am surprised its still running and that people are stupid enough to pay such prices. The staff all look absolutely miserable and angry, which is not how you want to feel when going for deserts, it should be a happy vibe and they never smile. My daughter ordered Churos at £7.95 for four tiny pieces of shriveled up fried dough covered in Nutella. This was in no way authentic churros, it was hard and in some weird shape I had never seen before. When I questioned the waitress, she approached me in a very angry manner, like how dare I ask her this question, she was horrible and never smiled once. I noticed a family next to me had ordered chilly chips (a strange item for a desert lounge), which came out within 1 minute of them ordering, this would suggest it was pre-cooked and warmed up in a microwave, shocking. This place sums up everything which is bad about modern society. Greedy business owners, overpriced menus, horrible customer experience and rubbish food. I can not recommend this place to anyone, please do not go here.

We have been to Twist couple of times with family and friends. The service is good. Menu offers sweet as well as savoury. We like their churros, distinct ice cream flavours like paan, chiku. Overall a good place, would recommend

We have been here a few times ... overpriced definitely.. great desserts and some savoury snacks are good . The only drawback we found was they charge you for ordering hot water !When we took it up with the manager he said that’s their policy ... as we pointed out that any restaurant you go to will give you hot water with a slice of lemon free of charge! On that principle some of our friends will not go back again .

We have been going here for years and feel a little bit let down by the food. It appears more and more is coming from frozen packets and the prices are going up. Disappointed.

Took my mum and Isabel (niece) there looked clean and welcoming loads of different ice cream to choice from. You could sit in and have coffee/ milkshake or waffles if you like we went for ice cream take away which was freshmade really recommend it !

I went with my family and we ordered ice cream milkshakes. We were misinformed by the staff. The price of the milkshake was exorbitant so i expected their milkshake would be good. However it was horrendous and like drinking milk. I wouldn't go there again

I’ve noticed that these couple of months prices have been going up significantly. I was shocked to find out that you change £1.25 for hot water, this just shows that the owners of the shop are money hungry and do not think about customer service. Further more the portions of food are pretty small for the prices that you charge on them. However on the bright side the food is pretty tasty. That would be the only positive thing I’d have to say about the shop.

I am not sure owner will reply to previous review. This is a grudge review for Twist on trip adviser as it is not about their product being good or bad . I would like to point out that their portion are big enough for me and some times I have taken left over home as I could not finish it . Regarding pricing you should have seen the price on the menu if you are in position to afford it before you order the food . Regarding service I have seen owner come to the table to ask if everything is ok . I think their service and staff are good and I have been going to this place for many years

The owners have put up prices significantly in recent months for what are generally quite small portions of food or dessert - greedy owners who do not understand how to run a business and keep their customers happy! Together with miserable staff who never smile, and a menu that has hardly changed in years, means that Twist have definitely lost the business of my family!

The waffle was awesome, and the staff were amazing, two very helpful and friendly waitresses, so nothing to complain about for me as I had a great time.

I been few times.. every time had good food.. they have Variety of ice creams... their choice of deserts and savory all are equaly nice.

The quality of the food is very inconsistent. The first time I visited Twist the waffles were very good however the second time the waffles were soggy and bland. It's not just the waffles either. My mum ordered ferrore roche cake and was good the first time but the second time it was completely different.

This may be one of the best desert places in London. Vast variety of deserts, pastries and ice-creams!! The icing on the cake is its all eggless.

Our waitress was clueless, didn't know difference between ice cream and sorbe and didn't understand what decafe coffee was. I ordered a take away dessert and a lady, the owner i believe threw the cake on my table, such rude behaviour...dnt go to this place, you will leave miserable

If you are carving for best creape and icecream desserts in harrow this is place i recommend anytime,you can enjoy with your friends and family

Ideal place for people who do not eat eggs. Great variety of Pancakes, Waffles & Crepes, apart from the delicious home made ice-creams.

Staff were very attentive and friendly. When we first went in it wasn't that busy, but even once it did get busy we always felt someone was keeping check that all was ok. I had waffle dessert and was great. Coffee was fantastic. Chunky chips were good as were the milkshakes. Can't fault the place at all and will definitely be going back to sample other desserts on the menu... perhaps skipping dinner next time! ;)

Visité toque el sábado pasado para el cumpleaños de mi madre y tuvimos un estupendo té que fue completamente vegetariana y huevos gratis. El plato de té de la tarde estaba muy bien presentado y los dulces y salados eran sabrosos. Aunque estaban un poco concurrido un sábado el amable personal nos aseguramos de cuidar de nuestras necesidades. Incluso agregaron una tarta con una vela, que era un toque agradable. Come here on a regular basis, and have always been served fairly quickly, great customer service, always met with smiles.Food here is amazing especially considering everything on the menu is vegetarian, everything comes speedily, fresh and hot! Will defy come back here.

Poor desserts!-ordered the waffles and it was stodgy-clearly the wrong batter was used. The chocolate sauce was lumpy and tasted awful. Won't be coming back

This was at the North Harrow branch. First off, I’d say the food we’ve tried here was good (e.g. Bombay sandwich and waffles were great) even if a little expensive IMO. However the rating I’ve given is for poor/rude customer service which means we won’t be going back.6 of us went Saturday night, it was busy so we queued up. After several minutes no staff came to attend to the queue so we thought we’d ask one of the staff what the wait time was. She indicated they may have a table for 4 and asked if we wanted to check if we could squeeze in, so she led us to the back to have a look. At this point another party asked the manager how come we were being seated. He come out to us and said we can’t just walk in and take a table. We calmly and politely explained we hadn’t and that his member of staff had said there may be a free table for us and asked us to take a look. He then told us there is a list and told off his staff in front of us (unprofessional IMO) that she shouldn’t be doing what she did. She obviously wasn’t aware of/forgot about the list.Anyway we explained we came in to ask the staff as no one was attending to the queue (which he disagreed with) At this point he lost his temper and said he didn’t accept that and he was constantly attending to the queue (which he wasn’t when we were there) ) and we shouldn’t be barging in. Again we politely tried to explain we didn’t (he had already told off his staff for bringing us back there) but at this point he became belligerent and wouldn’t entertain any explanation we gave. So it was time to leave.Such a shame something that could so easily and politely be resolved turned into this. Even if you disagree with the customer about something, there’s no need to be rude about it. Unfortunately I find that customer service in too many places is like this where there appears to be no desire/effort to provide great customer service which is why people ultimately go back for return business. Anyway, that was our unfortunate experience.Anyone have any good recommendation for other dessert places in the area?

Visited here having heard positive reviews, but were extremely disappointed. The desserts were not great, and we would not eat here again, but the customer service is absolutely horrendous. They go not welcome, nor acknowledge their customers. We waited over 40 mins for the waiter to take our order, which was completely unacceptable.

I'm sorry to say but the service was appalling on my recent visit and most of the staff need re/training in terms of what good service actually means. No smiles, no greeting in a friendly manner, taking away the menus although we wanted to look at them so we can decide what dessert we actually wanted, white chocolate sauce was tasteless. I ordered the Churros with white chocolate sauce however it was bland and not very appetising. When I mentioned this to the waiter and waitress that I didn't like the sauce and mentioned that I thought it would be melted white chocolate sauce and not something out of a bottle, the waiter was rude and abrupt saying "well that's not what is on the menu".They should be ashamed to serve bottled chocolate sauces, and then charing £1 for this? Does not make sense to me. And as mentioned the sauce was horrible. As for the Churros it was nice and ice cream was standard, nothing special.I disputed the payment and only paid for the Churros and ice cream that I had, not the sauce. There was no apology at any point and in fact was given a horrible look by the waitress.Very very rude staff and unwelcoming! Not accommodating at all and the attitude followed here is; "the customer is never right".I will not return and nor will I bring friends here again! Better off at Indulge which is wonderful and the staff are so friendly.

I went there with my boyfriend to treat us with a waffle but we could never expect such a great one, it was exactly what I needed and I'd go there everyday if it wouldn't make me a whale size well done guys

Desserts are overly indulgent and overpriced. On average, dessert dishes are priced at around £4-9. Although icecream is good, a couple of scoops are about £2.75.Some of the desserts are difficult to stomach as they are full of sugar.

This is a great little place in north harrow, which from small beginnings has now opened 2 branches within harrow. I love the ambiance which as a modern but very warm and welcoming feel as you enter that seems to appeal to people of all ages! Their ice cream is very innovative with new and unusual varieties to try almost every time you visit, many of which are egg free great if you are vegan! I also love how they have diversified to add snacks and meals to their menu which almost rivals their signature dessert dishes!

Great place for dessertsA very good choice for desserts from Icecream, milkshakes, cakes, crepes, waffles, pancakes and more. More importantly... they are all eggless, so a great choice for pure veggies.We come here often and this time we were here to celebrate my nephews 21st birthday. There were about 35 of is in our group and we were well looked after. Good staff and good service.As a bonus, they also serve hot snacky food as well.Must try this place.

Met friends here for a chat, coffee, tea and ice creams. Always well looked after, nice selection of teas, chai tea, coffee etc. And at least 20 or so ice creams, some very unusual flavours. Also hot food and desserts available. Highly recommended.

We go to Twist quite often as it is a vegetarian establishment and gives us a lot of choice of snacks and desserts. They are also happy to accommodate special meal requirements .The staff are friendly and polite.

Very friendly service and just simply a good treat. Their waffles have a very light taste, not heavy and doughy. The chocolate one is a choc lovers delight, always come here when we just want some cheeky indulgence :)

HiI went this evening for a take away.Firstly, it was my time of going after hearing good reviews.I asked the staff about the counter for recommendations, they first said they hadn't tried the food and couldn't recommend anything.I ordered chilli chips , mogo and cheese toastie... the quality of the food was awful. I could of made better at home. I can't believe they charge approx £6 a dish.I will not be going back again.On any positive , the desserts looked nice but didn't have one.Don't buy off the snack menu

Always been looked after really well here and the food is top notch. Have tried the wraps and pasta which were both delicious. The waffles are the star of the show though!

Never have I witness a level of terrible customer service like tonight. My cousin had ordered a cookie dough dessert. To her disappointment it was not what you would call cookie dough, over cooked with no sense of taste of cookie. When we advised the waitress we got no reaction nor any words of apology, simply took the dish away without suggesting anything else on the menu. Further to this the manager of the branch then comes to our table with an obscene amount of attitude. Rather than showing any kind of apology we were talked at sarcastically and condescendingly. She had her arms crossed stating that is how they make their cookie dough and apparently how it is always sold to customers so it ' can't be cooked wrong'. Attitude of my way or get out of my restaurant. Absolutely disgusting behaviour, highly unwelcoming with staff equally lacking in customer service. Avoid at all costs.

Owner had a disgusting behaviour towards me, his costumer. I only complained about him serving me something different than it said on the menu. Instead of him apologising he got rude and wouldn't do anything about it. Very poor service. Poor taste in food.

Went here for my hubby bday for post dinner desserts. Kids had a variety of ice creams n churros. We went to the burnt oak branch. Although the service was very slow - the desserts were very tasty. A regular dessert place for us.

It was deja vu.Went 12 months ago. Terrible service. Forgetfulness. Short staffed. Over priced.Thought it may have changed this evening. No it did'nt.Give this place a wide berth.

Really clean venue with lots of desserts to choose from. A wide range of Gelato ice cream with some very good flavours. The hot desserts are very nice and also have a range of egg free desserts to choose from. Both hot and cold drinks are available too.

Really tasty crepes/waffles/milkshakes in north harrow. They also offer savoury food but nowhere near as good. My only complaint is the small cookie dough portion.

We went in as a family after a meal. First time here. We were seated promptly and handed menus. Very friendly and efficient. The selection of icecreams was incredible. Two scoops each for 3 of us and a latte for me.Wow is all I can say. Will be goign there again very soon

Went there with a group of friends and my toddler. Ice cream was good and included a variety of interesting flavours. The venue does not look particularly welcoming. As my little one started playing and touching things (without breaking anything) one of their waitresses started giving us unpleasant looks and exchanged condescending smiles with her fellow colleague. I do appreciate not everyone likes kids, but I will not be going back.

We have been to Twist couple of times. Every time we had great experience of tasty delicious food & dessert. Services are excellent on most ocassions, slightly delayed when over busy. Management welcomes suggestions & open to hear critics as well.Jatin Paytel & Family

Took my Little one out this evening at their Burnt Oak Branch. Ordered some pasta and then had pancakes. The service was good; could've been better. The only downside I would say, they don't have any drink choices for babys. Other than that this place deserve a visit .

We went with family to twist for an afternoon dessert run. The choice of food was plentiful! Even though they were not busy the food came out slowly. Overall the food was good. Bathrooms were clean.

I never usually have sundaes but I tried out the Luxury Cake sundae without fruit.. it was pretty tasty, but they did overdo it with the whipped cream on both mine and my husband's sundaes. Also the service was a little slow, so my husband had to get up and go to the counter to request to make an order. The staff were polite.. perhaps they could do with a few more smiles to the customers though.. Atmosphere overa was nice, bright and clean.

We were nearby and fancied something sweet for desert, and I'd seen that they did churros, something our go-to desert lounge doesn't offer.When we walked in, there were lots of busy tables but we couldn't work out who was staff; there was no one ushering us to a table or even welcoming us. After walking up and down the counters, we eventually sat down at a free table and someone realised we didn't have menus and wordlessly threw them on the table.We decided on a cappuccino and a mint tea, with cinnamon sugar churros and a "nutty nuts" waffle. The waiter taking our order (who just about looked old enough to work there) re-read what he'd written correctly and we thought all would be good.After half an hour of watching deserts leave the counter and be taken to other tables,my churros arrived. They weren't cinnamon sugar as requested and re-read, but normal sugar. Seeing as the person delivering the plate had barely even stopped at the table to place them down, I figured flagging this would be worthless. fifteen minutes later, after I had all but finished by churros, our drinks arrived. I'd watched them be sat on the counter waiting to be brought over. My mint tea arrived with no sugar and no teaspoon- I ended up wiping my partner's spoon from his cappuccino. STILL no second desert, and by this time I had completely finished my food, and my partner his coffee, and they'd turned on the air-con onto very cold, which was blowing right on me, so I ended up putting on my jacket. After nearly an hour waiting for what we thought would be some quick deserts, we joined the queue to pay and leave, my partner desert-less. Whilst waiting in this queue, I saw that those making the food did so without any gloves- I watched one lady wipe her nose with the back of her hand and then chop a banana and some strawberries and sprinkle them on deserts without any kind of hand washing in-between. On paying, we told the lady at the till how appalled we were at the service, and all she could do was snigger! Gobsmacked. We have often been to a nearby desert lounge, which is half the size of this, and often twice as busy, yet we've always been greeted at the door, delivered our drinks within 5 minutes and our deserts within 20 minutes, all with polite and available waiters- we now realise how good the service and food is there, and will never stray from it!

This is very nice place for dessert and ice creams. They have so maney varieties in ice creams desserts. It's good place to visit with family and friends.

Crumble with custard and vanilla ice cream and chocolate churros after a heavy dinner were not my choice, so I remained with the ginger and lemon tea (hot water) that was soothing and very helpful for digestion. Other friends and family members made the most of the homemade desserts that are extremely popular with the locals.

All of the staff were super polite and made us feel welcome. I went a few years ago and it wasn't as popular. However it's really grown now and has a vibrant atmosphere - would definitely recommend!

This place survives on local Asian families basically, which is a good thing as it shows they are very family orientated. We went to Twist today and were disappointed. Our waffle was cold and so we brought it to the attention of the owner. Unfortunately no apology was offered and it was implied that we were making it up.

I love twist, and visit it a couple of times a month. For an egg free person it is heaven with a wide selection of desserts...and everything I've tried is delicious, and keeps bringing me back for more.My parents are Jain and they are also able to enjoy a snack and dessert at twist too, the jai. Samosas are a must.I also like the environment and the service is very good.

I come here everytime for dessert, its my favourite place because its a family business, the staff are really friendly. The nutella chocoaholic waffle is to die for!! Their eggless options are unlimited! Definitely recommend! Sometimes they can get busy because they are really popular, so book a table in advance

I phoned in to book my table for 8:30pm and when I got there they did not put my name in the list I was so angry at them after that they gave our table then they took our order 3 desserts and one mogo and the mogo came after 10 mins after the we waited for 1 hour it did not come we was so angry at then so guys do not go there please

Came to Twist Burntoak, not realising they had a store in North Harrow. Came with my family, and we all sincerely enjoyed our food. Service was also great. Staff were friendly, apologised for desserts that had finished (cakes, obviously tasty). We all commented on the decor, space and options. Place has great future. Look forward to the next visit. Without a doubt - I jumped to the opportunity of going to Twist for my evening out and that to the new place in Colindale. Bigger place and location wise, ideal. Was delighted to the fact that a booking was made and we had a table immediately. Now the disappointment begins :the savoury dishes ordered - chilli paneer and chilli mogo were of sub standard quality. would not recommend it at all.Ordered savoury crepe's - could not get the order right - had to be changed a few times and even then it was not of the same quality as previously eaten. Must admit - I would not jump to another offer to go to TWIST unless quality of the food improves.will give 10/10 for the owner taking time to go to each and every table and talking to all.

Went with the family on evening. There was a new waitress who was obviously learning. However the owner came over and explained very nicely and within a a few minutes our order arrived. We have a mixture of ice creams all which were exceptionally. I would try the waffles next time. Reasonable prices and clean environment. Give it go!

They've got a choice of desserts. Quality and price are reasonable . If you are an ice cream lover , worth trying this place .

So after pizza at Silver Dolar we decided to try Twist. Had heard a lot from "youngsters" about it. And true to their word, the vast majority of the clientele were either teenagers or early twenties.They have a vast choice of desserts, ice creams to waffles to pancakes. And for those wanting some snacks there is an extensive savoury menu as well.

The crepe was undercooked but other than that I had a nice time. The ice cream was very nice, particularly the bubblegum.

Found this place by accident, it was packed and the wait was 45 minutes. But it looked so tempting, I decided to wait. Lucky I did wait, it was absolutely excellent, and I was particularly surprised as no eggs are used (to cater for the local Asian community). No eggs, didn't affect the taste or the presentation. Both were excellent. I have seen another Twist open up in Burnt Oak, hopefully this will be as good!

Been going to this place for a few years now. Even went there once for lunch. There is a really good snack menu and only had veggie burger which was so-so and a bit disappointing. But you go there for the dessert!These are really good and freshly made. When the owners' are there I've found the service to be really good. The only downside is that most of the items seemed to have finished early which is a shame as its open late and also it's very rowdy in there. I would have given better rating if not for those points. But the taste of the dessert/ice cream is great.

What can i say, one small gem in a dump called Burnt Oak.Have tried a few items from the menu, my favourites include; Chocolicious Waffle with strawberries & Nutella ice cream, absolute heaven if u love chocolate & strawberries. Also enjoyed New York Cheese cake ice cream, masalah & mint tea.From their savory menu, my favourite so far is their chili paneer.Love the interior decor, nice place to relax & unwind with family & friends.I've been a couple of times with family & friends & have always experienced good customer service, also, prices are reasonable.My advice to the owners, keep up with the good service, i can see Twist becoming very popular.
