Twinz Fish Bar in Newport

This is a cracking takeaway in Duffryn,just off the J28 M4 nr Newport. Situated within a stones throw of the historic Tredegar House we have driven out of our way to go here. The food is fresh, piping hot and very tasty! Although the shopping area the takeaway is in is rather tired and run down - driving there it looks like a dead end from the main road, don’t be put off; it’s worth it!

Great fish and chips and plenty of options from curry’s to Chinese pizzas and an excellent menu plus cold drinks

This place is located in duffryn shopping centre behind the duffryn arms pub. What a gem of.a place, delicious food all around and big portions. The best fish and chips in Newport without a doubt. Must try this hidden gem of a takeaway

Discovered this place on recommendation from a local colleague. Delighted to find they'll deliver too, but I always enjoy the walk from my hotel. It's a small friendly chippy, with an expanded pizza and indian menu available from 1600. I keep returning and have always been treated well with generous portions of delicious well cooked food, always piping hot and tasty.

Stopped off for a quick bag of chips on the way home from work. Got the kids meals only £2.50 and they were really nice and a huge portion. Fish was cooked fresh to order so took a few mins longer but was definitely worth the wait. Cod was great chips were the nicest I've had in a long time and the kids meals went down well with the little ones. Not at all greasy and staff were courteous and very friendly.

Ordered from here many times and a wide variety of dishes. They’ve always been very polite and efficient with the service, food has always been fresh and piping hot, and when I’ve ordered a delivery, it’s been a lot sooner than expected and once again, fresh and piping hot. Would definitely recommend.

just had another curry from twinz I love lamb madras my partner loves chicken madras, I really enjoy keema rice and we both really enjoy keema naan apna style best curry in Newport and ive had a few and even deliverd in the snow thankyou ash we love twinz its become our fave takeaway keep the good work up highly recommended thankyou nic and mark x

just had a lovely indian from twinz we had chicken madras keema rice keema naan was to our liking we love a hot curry if you ask for apna style for £1.50 more its lovely and hot, would recommend this place if you like indian food cant wait for next week for another one keep it up chef lovely

I called and ordered fish and chips while waiting for the fish to cook the lady serving was friendly and coped well with serving customer who came in. However the gentleman who came in from the kitchen in his coat and with a normal plaster on his finger (which looked like it had been on a while) did not give a good impression of a clean fish and Chip shop he answered the phone and also served food which I was glad he did not touch my food. I will not be using them again although on their window it shows five star cleanliness.

First visit asked for hot curry, got a korma, second visit asked for garlic nan,forgot my order twenty mins later, third visit ordered garlic nan for an hour later whislt I walk the dog, forgot !!!!!! Absolutely pathetic, 3 times I went there 3 times rubbish

Ordered Fish and Chips at this takeaway the fish was overcooked to the stage of being totally inedible.Wish I had checked it before leaving as would have refused to pay. I have used this takeaway before and food was of good quality but it would appear now to be shambolic with too many chefs and nobody in charge, will not be visiting again.
