It doesn't look like a pub, but don't be put off - it's not a trendy yoof bar. It has several Camra awards for its real ales, of which there are usually at least 4 available on hand pump, plus many more craft ales and others delivered electrically or bottled. Its clientele is pleasantly mixed, young and old, visitors and locals, and the pies are great! If there's a big game on the TV it gets noisier, but it's still a great place for a drink by yourself or with friends. The new young landlord is committed to keeping its atmosphere and reputation, so give it a go. Dog friendly. Check opening hours before visiting, they are reliably regular but sometimes don't start until 3pm.

Wider selection of craft than the rest of the high street, decent atmosphere, and some fair prices/offers. Will chill craft cans on request. Yet to try the food.

Amazing pub, super dog friendly, has a pool table so massive bonus, the food is so reasonably priced and just ‘normal’ pub food. Amazing value for money. Plus the staff in there are amazing, friendly, helpful and super welcoming. Would 100 percent recommend.

Twenty ten are doing nice tasty food now at reasonable prices …. Pie of the day, baked potatoes sandwiches etc., a good shout if you are in town at lunchtime.

Nice variety of beer that changes. Cask and keg lines of craft beer but also keg lines of more commercial beer that you find in most pubs. Nice section of snacks. The only thing i would say is that it looks like it needs a bit of TLC like the ladies bathroom the dryer didn't work and trying to close the door to the loo was difficult amd the TV showing the beer that previously worked isn't now and trying to see the lines of beer was difficult. However the staff were helpful in going through what they had on. But these things are minor the beer was great and the atmosphere was welcoming.

Stopped here one Friday afternoon in August 2023. Had some food and a pint. Food was nice and pint was good. Service was great. Would visit again. Can recommend 👍

Fantastic place with superb and interesting beers.

Staff all hard working and concentrate on each customer being happy with their whole experience in the their bar. Food cooked perfectly and hot. Seem to have most if not all drinks available. Eexcellent experience.

This is a fairly new pub (opened in 2010??) set amongst shops in the centre of Matlock, just a few minutes walk from the railway station. And despite the name, I think we can safely class this place as a pub - internally it has a good pubby atmosphere that is often absent from shop conversions, with a raised section at the far end which incorporates a pool table and dartboard. They host live music too, some evenings. On the bar, there's a great range of ales mainly from smaller local breweries. The food offering is simple and inexpensive, featuring pies, burgers, sandwiches and other delights. It's not the sort of place you would come for that special meal but what they do is very well prepared and prices are probably the cheapest in town.

Not serving food when we were there so can't comment on that. Pints were served by a friendly barman and had some nice chats with other customers.

Lively, welcoming, modern beer house serving a good array of ales and spirits. Good beer guide listing is well deserved.

Rob & team were very welcoming and friendly & beer was outstanding. If in Matlock looking for a good pint & friendly atmosphere, this is a must!! Footy on TV too!! Bonus!

Lovely little bar to stop and have a drink at - popular for the pre-football match drinks! Excellent selection of drinks available with friendly and helpful staff who will do everything they can to cater to you. Dog friendly with treats, water and blanket set out in a dog station for customers. Great atmosphere, pool table available as well. Definitely recommend

Just the best place in Matlock.

Have been coming to this bar for the past few years whenever we pop up to Matlock. We come up about six times a year. Don't know what's happened since last year but food presentation was terrible. My wife ordered a Tuna & Red Onion on Brown. It used to come on lovely thick bread or Cobs accompanied with Torella Chips & Salad. Today it was served as just a thinly cut floppy sandwich. No garnish or Torella Chips. I ordered Curry of the day. Asked for half Chips & half rice. Was told I couldn't have this. The Rice was served still in the shape of the Microwave bag it had obviously just been shared from. Very poor. Been coming here for years but won't be returning.

Great selection on tap, serving Pieminister pies with fresh skin on chips. Polite bartender ,great ambience. Could do with more visibility on the pavement, we almost walked by before we realised it was open and serving lunch. Lunch deal was such great value, and included a pint for £11!

Except pie meal deal, chicken and mushroom pie, gorgeous chips and garden peas, with drink. Delicious tasking and the surrounding environment lovely, as were the waiters.

Just popped in for a pint and snack before the train! Christmas cob was on point! Choose the beef! Perfect if you can't fit a roast in! Beer is always amazing! The hot chocolate for little one was the best in town! Well done twenty ten! X

Inside of the restaurant smells like quite bad. But kind servers and it’s a nice place for dogs, the food took quite a long time but that’s fine!, but half an hour after eating everyone I went with has stomach issues including me.

Loads of choice for real ales, and craft ales. Happy hour 4 - 7 pm. Great food, simple and excellent quality. The ploughman's is very good, and the pies are excellent. Lovely friendly staff and most helpful owner / manager. Very happy to recommend this bar Which is so full of character.

Just what we were looking for - a bar with an excellent choice of beers and also Happy Hour until 19:00!!! Only wish we had found it earlier......

Nipped in for a few drinks and snacks. Great ale and choices of cocktails which was really yummy. Had some cheesy chips and pork pie, 10/10! Little wait on the food but it was very busy in there. Fun decor. Really like it here!

While staying in Matlock recently and by chance we ended up coming in for a drink. We were very glad for that as Twenty Ten is an excellent pub with a wide range of Ales, Lagers and Ciders on tap. If we lived locally this would definitely be a regular.

Great friendly bar in the Peak District with amazing live music on Saturday nights! Saw a really good 80’s band recently and it was packed!

Absolutely amazing place, fantastic atmosphere ,great service ,good choice of beers wines and spirits funky little place to drink. The barman even remembered us from the previous night and what we drunk ,always a sign of a good host.

We were next door and drawn in by the wonderful smells coming from the kitchen. When we entered we had a lovely warm welcome by Adele who made us feel welcome and not rushed to sort out and find what to order. I had the Ham Egg and Chips but it was so yummy the camera was to slow to get the Pic of the food on the plate 😂. Piers (the Beard viking in training) was also great showing an interest in what we do and again making us glad we cam in for a rest and food I will be back 100% Thank you guys.

Been drinking here for years as a couple, with the kids and with large groups of friends, never had a bad experience. Always good food and perfect cocktails, beers great aswell with a huge selection. Dogs are made as welcome as people and so are kids. We love the place. The pies are amazing too

This place is a great place to have a lunch or meal with a relaxing atmosphere, made to feel really welcome and staff lovely and pleasant. Food was amazing and so tasty, good value for money and would recommend anyone to pay a visit to this establishment. Thanks for a relaxing but vibrant ambiance to enjoy our lunch. Great pub with a wide selection of beers, cocktails and snack menu. Music on a Saturday night, Super Sunday...on a Sunday. Pool and Darts available and also check out the Open Mic nights, they are puurrfect.

Lovely little place me and my friend discovered near Matlock Town. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. We both ordered the Chicken and bacon salad and were told it might take a little while as they were busy, however there didn't seem that many people in and they had only ordered rolls !! After 30 mins we were told the chicken had run out - ok not a problem, so we decided on 'thick cut Ham'. After another 10 mins it came in two small bowls - our salad consisted of a few; salad leaves, cherry toms, bit of onion, croutons and 'thin' shredded ham !! Very disapointed and hungry when we had left !! Prices not madly expensive but value for money wasn't good.

Brilliant food and great service. The staff were brilliant and very friendly. The bar choice was great as was the gluten free options available. It is dog friendly with a dog station with treats water and blankets. Would highly recommend

One of the best bars to go to in town. Very good selection of beers, and the best selection of hand pump craft beers in town. Live music on Friday and Saturday nights make this the place to go to

Not having a lot of choice on a Sunday we blundered upon their place Great food great service great beer…what more could you ask for.

We came here today. Me and my boyfriend loved the place. He loved all the craft beers you had on! We also had a ploughman’s sharer which was lovely. The staff were really nice and friendly. Will definitely be coming here a few times a month.

Good place. No banging music, so able to talk. Intesting range of real ales.

Lovely laid back place friendly and casual dining came after Xmas Market warm friendly atmosphere and very engaging staff had light snacks and it was enough as we'd already booked somewhere else but can't wait to return for there live venues advertised 10 out of 10 for service and atmosphere

Called in after a visit to the Victorian market for a drink it looked nice and and inviting from the outside a lot bigger than you think inside too! We ordered a cocktail it wasn’t bad at all just lacking ice and a bit of decoration to it but that’s just a minor criticism however it was on a 2 for £10 offer so not too bad. We decided to have some food to share which was very good the chips were really nice and plenty of them we also shared a bowl of cheesy nachos which again were good and a generous amount and all at a good price! Didn’t have to wait long for our food either! Staff were all friendly and the lady behind the bar who served us when we first went in with drinks came over and asked if everything was alright with our food! Also a big plus the place was lovely and warm! Will definitely call again if we visit Matlock again!

Came here with friends for a quick drink and ended up staying for many. Great selection of craft breweries and all kept in good condition. Nice, vibrant atmosphere and staff were attentive and knowledgeable.

Went to have lunch there…ordered our food and drinks.10 minutes later came back told they didn’t have what we ordered and we still hadn’t got our drinks so we decided to leave and go elsewhere tried to get a refund still waiting…won’t go back again.service was slow but it’s not the 1St time,::there’s better places to go

Well where do I start.. this as been a brilliant pub up till now... Last week there was 3 girls running it, well I say running it. They was very loud with each other. They was more into themselves, than looking after the customers that was in. This week there was a young lad by himself, he didn't know what he was doing. We ordered our food and drinks and he said he'd bring them when they was ready and took our money for them. 15 minutes later he informed us that they hadn't got wot we'd ordered. He hadn't even got our drinks ready. So we asked for a refund, he went in the kitchen to ask how to refund us, and came back and told us it was sorted, and it should be back on our card. I checked my account, and he said it takes time to go back on. We're still waiting for a refund. After 4 years of going in there, we'll not be going back. Terrible service, and terrible staff. Very disappointed.

really disappointing offering when it comes to food, am sure it used to be better.Ordered a tomato and mozarella sandwich; well, guess it did what it said on the tin. But could've been better for the money - maybe butter or spread, basil leaves or pesto, possibly serve warm? Won't be back, £6 is expensive for something that took 20 minutes to make but should've taken 2!
