Turtle Pizza Cafe in Oxford

I was staying at a nearby guesthouse and saw this great pizza place! I loved the turtles as a kid and collected the figures, so I was interested in trying there. The pizza was amazing quality hand made and cooked while I waited, amazing price too! The owner is a really nice guy and the turtle mural is cool, I will be returning again when in the area! Five stars

This is such a lovely place which claims to have the best pizza in Oxford and honestly I think they might be right. The food is absolutely delicious, the vibes are great, the food is great value, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Tell your friends!

The staff are very friendly and the pizza is absolutely delicious, especially given it's price point! All the meats here are Halal with vegetarian pizza options on the menu.

I had an amazing chat with the owner, while waiting for the turtle special, with some extras. The smell was amazing and when I went to sit down and eat it, it was just great, goes really well with the chive sauce

We came late from London and we asked if were serving. The pizza as delicious! The pasta is just amazing and ao is the tomato sauce! Er have lives and we might repeat during the vacations!

Visited turtle pizza cafe for the first time with my family. The pizza was very good as well as reasonably priced. The staff were very nice and my son enjoyed the environment & wall art.

Tasty pizza and awesome vibe! Huge menu (pizza, garlic bread, drinks), fresh orange juice on offer and chocolate. The cafe is well decorated with murals on the walls of the turtles and of Italy. Perfect for locals and tourists alike with friendly staff and good prices. Makes a cool spot for pizza collection or dine in, casual hangout, and probably good for kids too! If there was a 10 star rating, I would of put 10! Great staff, fantastic atmosphere but what makes the place the best is the pizza itself!! Very tasty and not expensive either. I paid £8,90 and didn’t finish the whole pizza. Worth of visit!! Would recommend everyone

I don't remember when I had so good calzone for the last time. Freshly pressed orange juice (healthy part of my lunch) just made it complete. Love it . Can't wait for panini as the owner mentioned to add it shortly to the menu

I recently visited Turtle pizza after the re-opening and had an outstanding experience! The pizza was absolutely delicious, with a perfect blend of fresh ingredients and mouth-watering flavours. The crust was just the right balance of crispy and chewy, and the toppings were generous and high quality. Quattro formaggi is my favourite . The service was equally impressive—friendly, highly recommended 🙌

The pizza quality here is very good, almost like a crispy naan style based compared to what you get elsewhere,no grease and very tasty and the TMNT inspired decor is a nice touch. Where the shop is still fairly new and unknown there isn't many people in there when I have visited if any and there isn't any music which might make its atmosphere better. Keep making those pizzas and the people will come 👍 Second visit to this place and although advertised at open until 10.30 was closed at 9pm

Alex is a true professional. I walked in tonight on a Saturday evening, and he instantly sprung into action. We chatted for a bit, as I was not in any rush and I was enjoying the conversation! What a great world we live in despite what's going on. Great human being that Alex. Now the pizza, as I told him I've all over the world, had pizza on every continent (including Antarctica) and this pizza was arguably top 10. The dough is amazing, you can tell there is care on how it is made and fermented and stretched. Great mouthfeel and one hell of a bite. Get it crispy you will NOT be disappointed. I will not hesitate to go out of the way to come and get pizza from Alex. You should do the same. This Reaturant and proprietor is what makes up the true fiber of a great country let alone a great pizza. Go and get some. Order lots, you'll ABSOLUTELY want more tomorrow. 11/10 would Cowabunga again.

The best pizza in town... I had dinner at Turtles and I will never forget how delicious the pizza was. We had a turtle special, a manzo and a meat lover pizzas... We all enjoyed tremendously...I highly recommend it.. Well done!!!

This place is literally a life-saver. Late night studying? Ran out of groceries? Coming back from the pub? This is the spot. The prices are perfect for a uni student and the pizza is fantastic. The owner is super kind and always makes sure my order is correct AND done quickly. I’ve never had to wait longer than 15 minutes.

Came in for a quick bite to eat and was welcomed by a warm and well decorated restaurant. The pizza is made freshly to order with some of the finest ingredients you could ask for. The tables have oil and cutlery provided so if you decide to eat your pizza in that was you don’t have to feel shame. The pizza had the perfect balance of flavour and texture and my mouth was watering between every bite. The prices are very fair especially for oxford and the service is fast and efficient. Will certainly visit again!

Ordered 2 Pizza for the first time at Turtle Pizza. I found the pizzas crust and bass far too thin. Ingredients on the pizzas were very small amount and lacked taste. Don’t think it was worth £24.00. I’ve had better,and I’ve had much worse. This is just my opinion.

We went this evening for our child’s birthday treat, a group of 3 adults and three children..our two eldest love TMNT and wanted to visit, it didn’t disappoint! The owner made us feel at home, moving the table to accommodate our group size. The pizzas were all freshly prepared and cooked in a kitchen in view of the seating area. When the pizza arrived it was delicious! 😋 One of the best pizzas I’ve had in Oxford and I’ve lived here all my life! All trays were empty at the end of the meal! Really good value for money, so pleased to have found this little hidden gem, just disappointed we didn’t find it sooner!

At first, I was surprised by the high rating given to it by the visitors of the restaurant, and after my experience with it, the food was very beautiful and he presented me with a pizza that was 70 years old. Adding to the beauty of the taste was the restaurant’s style of service, where we exchanged conversations while eating. After my experience with it, I can say that it is the best pizza restaurant in the neighborhoods. Neighboring .

I must say that I tried many Pizza places at Oxford, but without hesitation this one is my favorite. The pizza, is quite tasty, made with fresh ingredients, and that Italian twist that makes every pizza great. The customer service from Alex, is also, extremely outstanding. Last but not least important, prices are unbelievably affordable. Highly recommended!

As someone who is not particularly fond of pizza I have to say this place serves it absolutely delicious. It is truly made from the heart and it can be tasted in every bite. A must go to in Oxford. Highly recommended. I wish I knew about it earlier.

I have been longing to taste a pizza that reminds me of one, the a small a Italian restaurant use to make when I was younger. We ordered the Quattro Formaggio and as soon as I could smell it being brought to the table, I knew it was going to be something special. Half way through me and my friend both had the same idea, we need to take one home it tasted so good. The service was quick, friendly and warm. Since I have been back several times to try other toppings and got other friends hooked on this magical little spot. The inside looks really beautiful great to take pictures.

Tried this place out today for the first time, and it was incredible! Pizza was so fresh and the customer service was amazing. The owner (unfortunately I don’t know his name) gave me a free drink as it was the first time going to their restaurant. I will definitely be eating here again, the vegetarian options were great and the pizza was definitely top tier for me!
