Pizza Hero - Napoli Style Pizzeria in Oxford

I asked Anand to make a pizza for me with some specifications. And he made the best pizza. Everyone loved it. It was so delicious and perfect. I really like the pizzas here and it’s worth for money so I even got 15-20 pizzas from here on my bday and it was all great. Must try.

Their Pizza is really good for it’s cheap price! Anand was very friendly and accommodating, I was very impressed of how he manages to do everything by himself. New fave pizza place

My friends and I were on the hunt for some pizza on Cowley Road and came across this - we weren't sure what to expect but were blown away. The pizza is excellent, authentically made with good quality toppings. The value for money was outstanding - we had two large pizzas (puttanesca and vegetariana) for £11.95, which was more than enough to feed three people (and could have easily fed four). We'll definitely be back!

Pizzas are always spot on, can’t go wrong. Feels like a proper Napoli style pizza, best takeaway pizza place I’ve been to in cowley. Staff always friendly too. Student discount also good

Best pizza in Cowley!! We’ve tried lots of the pizza places in cowley and this place is definitely our pizza! So so fresh and delicious and very good value for money. The team were also so so welcoming and chatty and big shoutout to Mo and Anand who were both so lovely! :))

We just dropped in late tonight and with our pizza, we received a large side of good vibes! The gentleman who took and made our order was incredibly kind and lovely and overall just a very pleasant person to interact with. The pizza is delicious but we’d come back for the baker alone even if it wasn’t!

After a long Voi ride home I decided to drop into Pizza Hero for a proper pizza. I ended up speaking with Mo for about 20 minutes on how he ferments his dough, as I enjoy cooking pizza at home and spent quite some time over C19 perfecting my recipe. He is incredibly knowledgeable, and his pizza reflects his passion for remarkable, quality, pizzas. I can’t fault it. From the leopard spotting to the toppings, and the quality of the passata and mozzarella, this is absolute perfection. I’m over the moon that I have such a quality pizzeria just around the corner, run by professionals who have a passion for proper Napoli style pizzas. 10/10 - can’t wait for my next one!!!!

Best pizza in Oxford! My first time having pizza from here and I can honestly say it’s the best I’ve had in a very long time. The dough is perfectly cooked with a slight crisp but still a doughy texture. The staff are so friendly and are very attentive putting the customer first always. Maruthi was especially amazing with his friendly attitude towards customers! 10/10 all over 🙌🐐

Popped in for a free slice as advertised, met the owner who was very friendly and charming. I was offered an experimental slice that's off-menu which was banging! I'm someone that always goes for the same pizza but their variety of flavours are absolutely enticing. Very glad I randomly walked in. Definitely drop in if you happen to be walking by. Simply good and welcoming ! Try it out and judge for yourself. Welcomed with a slice of pizza by Mo. The pizza dough was perfect - meeting the expectations of an Italian restaurant. With a nice topping option. Cooked in a stone oven, you get the real pizza experience ! There are a fairly large variety of topping options. Apparently the Vegana is to die for. The food and the people are authentic. I recommend. This may actually become my go to place when eating out…

We were walking past and noticed the aroma from the pizza place. Never seen it before and was actually on our was to Nando’s. Because of the amazing smell, we went in to try it out. All I can say is, it is now my go to pizza place! The bread on this pizza was incredible! It was halal and tasted like an American pizza but without having to go America and only go to cowley road! Nick served us and his service was great! He’d mentioned Mohammed from Phillys owns the place, which explains why the pizza was amazing!

These guys make a truly great vegan slice. As a pizza-nostalgic American, I'm coming here for the best crust in Cowley -- also, get the pesto.

Lovely little place with enough options for everyone, including vegeterians/vegans. Pizzas are made in a traditional style in the wood-fired ovens so the texture of the pizza really comes through with crispy crusts, perfectly blistered and smoky. My server was Praveen, a sweet bloke with an outstanding customer service. Would recommend this place to all pizza lovers!

I thought this was just a random fast food joint, but I tried it this weekend and was quite surprised by how delicious their pizza was and for a really affordable price. Definitely among the best I've tried in Oxford, and the staff was super friendly as well. I highly recommend it, especially for Neapolitan pizza lovers--the crust was perfect! I'll definitely be coming back.

Oh wow. Went there at night for a snack after a couple of drinks, expecting it to be just some fatty, comfort food for the night. Instead, I ate one of the best pizzas I remember. The dough is absolutely phenomenal. The service was also really attentive, and the place looks frankly cool, even if very small. I am definitely returning there.
