Turkish Kitchen in Manchester

The recipe they use for the Donner is so unique that the taste of the meat is the closest, in fact, the same, as it is in Turkey. Meal was so delicious that it will definitely make us come back for delicatessen of the donner. Absolutely phenomenal. I have been to places in Leeds, London, Liverpool seeking for such taste. There will be Nlno need to travel long distances anymore :)))

I came to the restaurant other day with my family and the staff are really nice and they all friendly. The food is amazing like i never had a tasty food like this in uk. It taste exactly like the food in Istanbul. The person that took my order she’s so nice and friendly. I will come and visit the restaurant again with my family cuz i love the food and the restaurant. My husband (Turkish) and I visited Turkish Kitchen today after seeing their Facebook page. There were plenty of authentic Turkish dishes on the menu - my husband had mercimek çorba to start and we both had Tekirdağ köfte for mains. The food was well seasoned with good portion sizes and beautifully presented. Having lived in Turkey for the past 5 years I can vouch that this is the most enjoyable Turkish meal we’ve had since returning to the UK. Staff were welcoming and hospitable and the restaurant had lovely decor. We’d definitely recommend and look to return again in the future.

Great fresh food. Lovely friendly staff. Chicken curry had a nice flavour to it, more sweet than hot. Toasty naan bread and chips with red salt. Free Turkish Tea was a good bonus.

It’s been only few weeks I’ve spotted Turkish Kitchen on my way back to home. The place is quite nice, clean and cosy. The staff is really friendly and oh my gosh portions were huge and the meat was tasty👌I got Beyti Kebab as main and baklava as dessert, they were both satisfying and making you feel that Turkish vibes. Definitely recommended, you would be also lucky to get to know the boss he’s a very nice man with lots of stories!

We been looking for a nice restaurant with good qualify food and by the end of our trip we found it . Lovely service ,beautiful taste dishes,fast service not having enough word for them . Well done to the owner and manager of the place,good kitchen. Everything was cooked perfectly. Loved the lentile soup i wish to know them magic way of cooking. After reading all the good reviews we ordered a take out from their full menu for us to break fast with. How disappointing. The portion sizes were tiny, especially for the price. I calculated a total bill completely different to theirs. It was more than £10 more. The food was not worth the price and most of it was pretty bland. There wasnt much meat/poultry. I could have made a better meal at home (and wish I had now). This has been by far the worse and most disappointing meal I've had in a very very long time. I was interested in trying the breakfast here but i wont bother now. The staff were not exactly smiling or very friendly either. Their website also states 20% student discount which I dont think was fully applied. There is no way I would pay £66 for 3 mains, 3 mezes and 2 chips. All in all I wont be going back.

I was in Manchester for business at a nearby location, I am so pleased that I found this place. Food was excellent, service is fantastic and i will Definately be returning when I am in Manchester next, highly recommended.

We decided to eat here as it offered free parking for the MEN arena. We'd emailed in advance to check it was ok to park and book the table. There was a good selection of food and it was lovely. It was all cooked fresh and the flavours were lovely. We both thoroughly enjoyed every bite! If we had one criticism, and normally this wouldn't be an issue but time was tight, the food took longer to come than we had expected, but it was definitely worth the wait. And at the end of the concert, our car was in the car park, the gate pulled shut, waiting for us to collect it! We just pulled the gate shut as we left. We will DEFINITELY eat here next time we come to Manchester arena!!

Called in as it opened on a Sunday morning and had a Turkish breakfast. This is the first place I have found outside Turkey that does a proper Turkish breakfast and it was excellent. Everything was perfectly made and full of flavour. The girls who wait on the tables are not Turkish but are really friendly and helpful, the food is cooked by a Turkish lady and she knows what she is doing. The coffee was also authentically Turkish.

Found this place just up the road from the travelodge Manchester arena. Great food and reasonably priced. Take out or sit in. Staff are polite and helpful. It’s become a regular for me.

I like most Turkish grill restaurants and cafes as they really know how to season and chargrill meat. This place: no exception. Really good menu, excellent friendly service and top food. Staff weren't in your face at all and every dish was excellent. Attention to detail with flavours even on the more minor salad-based dishes. Really clean place, nicely decorated with lovely pictures of Turkey. Why not 5 stars? Prefer proper flatbreads to the ones we were served ... but I am a self-confessed bread snob. That said. All food was bloody lovely! Will be(e) back when next in Manchester. Took online booking at very late notice also, and responded very quickly. Thanks!

Idealmente ubicado a 5 minutos de nuestro aparcamiento y los diez minutos a pie del estadio de la cocina turca es perfecto para una sabrosa cena o aperitivo. Have been here a few times, each and every time the food has been delicious. The place is only small and gets really busy, you can see everyone enjoying their food. Would definitely recommend this place to eat. But be there around 12 for lunch or you may not get a table.

Was excited on learning of this Venue - especially as sounded like, home made, lokanta feel, something Manchester missing since closing of Marmaris. Have to say dissappointed. Nice people but no warm Turkish welcome. Television showed a fake fire and that was only warmth. Waiting staff not even Turkish. Food average at best and not cheap and Iskender Kebab poor. Highly unlikely to return unfortunately.

Last night (4th March) we were over Manchester way to see a concert at the Arena. We booked into the Travelodge and rather than walk towards the city centre to find something to eat, we went on a shorter walk (in sudden heavy rain!) in the opposite direction. Not far away we came across the Turkish Kitchen.

Popped in for a takeaway as was staying across the road in the travelodge. Very satisfied with the service from the staff especially since it was close to closing time. Thanks nadir and nalia

one of my go to places in manchester the food is always a delight although the portions are not that great a bit more food on my plate next time please but the quality is great

Three pals went for an early evening meal. They food and service was excellent, , plus we bought our own wine. The bill was less than £30 - yes it really was. And just to add the bread is lovely and you can park free close by. Will certainly be a regular destination from how on.

Having been to Turkey no less than 12 times I have made some good friends and they have taken my wife and I to many non tourist places and the food and culture is incredible there ..here at the Turkish kitchen I felt the same as if I was back in turkey the food is fantastic and flavoured beautifully and the tea and coffe as well if you love food just visit and enjoy especially the baklava mmmmmm.

Sono stata un paio di sere fa in questo locale vicino all'Arena. Il locale non è bellissimo ma il servizio è ok e il cibo buono. Le porzioni sono molto abbondanti e i prezzi appropriati. Io ho provato un piatto a base di kebab di pollo, riso bianco, insalata e patatine. Buono anche il tè turco e il famoso baklava servito con panna.

Visited today with my husband. Driven past it for many years, but never ate there. Fantastic place. Inside was clean and tidy. Tables and chairs were not sticky (sorry, but for me this is really important). Customer service was great. Friendly and vocal staff. We ordered what we thought would be a large chicken platter meal for £12, but meal ended up being smaller than expected. Prices are reasonable. Food was fresh, cooked to perfection and piping hot. Was a bit stretched for time, but will def visit again soon, and try their other dishes. Parking available round the back, and on the side street. Great place if your looking for fresh, healthy, grilled meat.

Ordered two set mixed grills for 2 people. 40 minutes later 1 meal for two turns up. Obviously there were 4 of us. Highlighted the absence of the remaining order. Got an apology, waited another 25mins and eventually got the rest of meal. Smoothies with red berries were mixed with milk and spoiled the taste. If I wanted a milkshake, I would have ordered one! Side Street parking was worrying in terms of ghetto similarities and graffiti on walls and shutters and poor lighting. Portion sizes weren't worth the £26 for a small plate of mixed chicken wings, donner meat and tough beef cubes. Tried it once, won't be going back. Very expensive for a cafe facing a Category A prison in Manchester.

I have been Turkish kitchen a couple of times, it is my favourite restaurant because the food is fresh every time. You will enjoy the High quality customer service and fresh food.Turkish coffee and the tea is the best.

Looked for middle eatern dining as we were staying 10 minutes walk away in the Park Inn hotel. The food was lovely. We had a shared meze starter bottle of wine and huge main courses. We were so stuffed we couldn't manage a dessert. The place isn't posh but delivers good food at an affordable price. The area it is set in doesn't have the safest feel to it so we were glad we ate early and walked in daylight.

Used to be regular visit for takeway, the taste was never great, just becase it is close to my house , the portions get smaller and smaller, this time it is getting a bit ridiculous. much smaller box and half empty, only two piece lamb chop and few pc chicken, one small koft. Rang them, got told that was it. This is the 20pounds dish for two! Would never go again.

It's very hard to find authentic Turkish food in Manchester. If you want a true taste of Turkish cuisine, I highly recommend Turkish Kitchen! It's kid friendly too and there are options for vegetarians and pescatarians, so definitely something for everyone on the menu.I would defo come here again :)

Had lunch with 3 friends in this lovely, friendly restaurant. Staff were all welcoming, place was very clean and tidy. We all ordered from the "meal deal" section of the menu which was very reasonable. The food took approx 15 minutes to arrive, which was fine as it was evident it had all been made freshly and cooked to order. The meal was delicious and the waiter was attentive and stopped to chat a while. Once our table had been cleared the waiter brought us all a glass of Turkish tea which he said was free! Would definitely visit again.

It's the first time that either me or my wife have eaten Turkish cuisine. We had a warm welcome by our waitress. We were seated next to the window. Turkish football was on the TV so there were a few Turkish locals in eating and watching the match. We had a shared starter that was very nice. Plenty off food on the plate plus some lovely Bread. We had different Mains. Kaz had Lamb chops, there were 4 big Lamb chops, served with plenty of other things. I had a mixture of meats that were very tasty. That was served with chips, rice, mixed peppers and lots of other things. We had to leave some food on our plates as we were both full. Looking back, just the starter would of done us but we ordered it all because we wanted to try something different for a change. With a bottle of wine our bill came to just over £50 which was great value for the amount of food we got. It's a pity that we aren't from Manchester as we would go here to eat again.

Just had a lovely meal at the Turkish Kitchen. The food was delicious and tried real authentic turkish coffee and it was very nice!!! The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxed and enjoyable. Very clean and would definitely recommend a visit!!

Ok the bad bits first. Not in the most salubrious part of town. The area ain't exactly nice. Directly opposite Strangeways prison. Gone past the restaurant a number of times and decided to give it a try. I went with my two little girls and wife. At first impressions felt like we were intruding. Everyone in there was obviously Turkish (all men) and I felt a bit like the time I visited an Orthodox Jewish restaurant in Prestwich without having a shave. Ok maybe not that bad. But first impressions are deceiving. The service was warm and gracious. The food was excellent and obviously freshly prepared.I would definitely go there again. Cliches come to mind. Don't always judge a book by its cover, all that shines is not Gold etc.

On first entrance it is very clean and friendly and food smells good. We order number 36 on the menu. Mixed grill for 2 with rice, salad and chips. While we wait he brings over fresh bread and humus for free. The mixed grill was delicious. Well cooked 4 chicken wings bbq style. Chicken breast pieces, 2 lovely lamb chops, some kofta pieces and some lamb donner. What a delicious meal. If your ever in the area stop by this place. You will not be disappointed. Great place great food great staff.

Hi all me and my Mrs come to manchester hospital witch is always an unpleasant experience. Then it all changed when we came to the Turkish Kitchen Manchester we felt so welcome our day changed for the better as all the staff made us smile and laugh especially Mr turkish delight. Greeted very nicely, and there was a lot of choice, in my opinion, on the menu. I felt that the person attending the tables was very pleasant, and was rushing around by themselves as it was fairly busy. They did very well, considering one customer was slightly aggressive as they did have to wait sometime due to understaffing( I presume) but handled it beautifully. The food came slightly late, and came at dfferent times. The falafel was not great either unfortunately, and some of the meat was a bit too rare. However, it wasn't somewhere where I was left speechless by the food. Perhaps it was because it was the daytime? Yet, it was very clean, including the toilets. So it wasn't an afternoon wasted all in all.

We found the staff to be very welcoming and friendly. The restaurant is clean looked after. The food was mostly good. The oreo shake was smooth and of an acceptable standard. However the main wasn't at the standard of other turkish food I've had. Still this place isn't bad and is worth visiting.

Absolutely fantastic! Great choice of food, atmosphere was great, very welcoming, friendly staff so overall my friends and I had a fantastic luch at Turkish kitchen. The chef was very proud of his food and checked in with every table. We had lahmacun (Turkish Pizza) and Kunafah dessert for our lunch, we loved it… We also went there for Turkish breakfast that was brilliant, everything was fresh with good quality. We had Turkish pastry (Börek and Poğaça) as well which is difficult to find in Manchester…Please keep up the same service and great food… We will be back soon… I highly recommended…

My favorite restaurant in town is Turkish kitchen been impressive as always.Mix meze platter,mix grill and efes beer are our favs.Special Turkish sweet called Kunefe was literally mind blowing.Strictly recommended.

One of the best authentic meals you can get in Manchester. Turkish produce,beautifully chargrilled, and if you don't leave stuffed.. I don't believe it. If you're a first timer go for the Luxe Meze and mixed grill to share (2+1). That will give you a good taste of many things and help you choose on your next visits. Added bonus: They serve booze, but now also allow BYO!

We visited this place last week as a family of 4 and we were highly satisfied with the food and service. I came across their website on Facebook and found out you could bring your own bottle with no corkage fee charge and I thought that would be a good place to go as we are all big drinker. We ordered cold meze as a starter which was more than enough for all of us. I had mixed grill it comes with rice,chips and friend vegetables which I think it was very generous. We thought that we had so much food and were about to pay, owner was so kind to bring complimentary Turkish tea and turkish dessert - bakklava. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves Turkish food.
