Top notch kebabs, one of the best in Manchester. Also the staff are absolutely fantastic, really friendly and hospitable.

Me and my family come here all the time for kebabs. Not your average processed random meat take out but everything freshly cooked, meat in skewers that you can actually tell where is has come from (except maybe the doner but can get away with that one exception). The one take out I don't mind my kids eating. Guys are really friendly. Wouldn't go anywhere else for kebab.

Went there to order a kunafa and the staff was very rude and not bothered about customers and the kunafa taste was disgusting, I tried at many place but this is the worst kunafa I ever ate and they didn’t even gave a free tea bag

We went in to have a bite to eat while drinking, we had some starters and mains. The service was great, really friendly and accommodating and the food was on point. Can't wait to go again.

10/10 food and brilliant service. Food was cooked properly, unlike like some other food spots that serve pink chicken. Food arrived nice and hot with excellent portions, not a rip off at all. Will defo go again.

Bought kebabs for the family this evening. The TD Mixed Grill were excellent. The service was delivered with a great attitude and smile. Ali was super kind and helpful.

Spectacularly failed to deliver. Nice salads. Completely forgot about all the meat on an 8 person order. And couldn't be bothered to take responsibility. Awful.

Great customer service tonight. We got the wrong order on Deliveroo and after letting them know the correct order was delivered withing half an hour. Food was really nice as always 👍

Got the mixed kebab, Doner is absolutely brilliant normally not a big fan of Doner but this was tast AF. Would say the portions could be bigger as the normal Doner kebab is bigger than the one included in the mix but for an extra 3.50 you can get the kofta and the shish kebab which is not bad, but for the price is filling

I think the food is generally decent here. Not amazing but good enough. We like it and we have had food here many times. The felafel is not good. The thing that I’m not impressed with - they got my order wrong ( and to be fair - easily done) but they were so rude when I called - the phrase “listen love” was used a lot, talking over me and not listening to what was missing- I was fuming afterwards! And it was like I was a pain for calling up… they said either go there and collect the missing stuff or request a refund?! They should send the stuff out for priority delivery which is £2.50 on Deliveroo … looking for new equivalent in chorlton- there’s several! The old owners were better

Great food, have made this my place to go for a chicken kebab an pizza for the kids.

We ordered from this place on deliveroo. The food advertised is not what arrived. The food was delivered with all the sauces leaking. Everything was a shambles. The food was cold and lamb was definitely not fresh. The naan was thin and cold. The restaurant staff were really rude over the phone. Order was wasted. This place needs to be shut down. Folks avoid this place at all costs. Our first and last time ordering. NEVER AGAIN!!

Do not order from this restaurant if you have allergies. They do not provide full ingredients in their menus, which is against the law. Orders are delivered with entirely different ingredients

Since the old owners left, the vibe and the standard of food has really gone down, but the prices have gone up. Portion sizes are not that great and the kebabs are always cold.

If you need evidence of how good this place is, we travel 30 miles both ways to get one. A king sized mix grill and a chicken mixed grill with 3 sides was enough to feed a family of 4 with 2 teenage boys. Consistently excellent- look out for their homemade sauces.

Greasy and tasteless. Horrible. I’ve ordered here many times but it’s gone downhill. Never again.

Top tier kebab here. Unreal quality in the 3 meats I tried in the mixed kebab. Great value too. Only complaint is that I have to drive 15 mins to get here!

I am not making this comment about the food which is excellent but about honesty in dealing with customers . Last time we ordered mix grill for two at the shop , we went out and after 15 min we came back to collect the order and pay. Going home we found out that who ever grilled the meat , had missed one skewer of Shish and kofta Kebeb , in fact what they did they gave us grilled chicken as it stated in the menu and divided one shish and kofta between two of us instead of giving us one of each , we have ordered mix grill serval times and in very time we were present i suppose they used our absence to save bit of meat. Good food shame about honesty.

Terrible oily drenched doner kebab. They advertise as ho e made but it’s definitely tastes the same as other kebab shops. Shame the original owner sold the shop… definitely never visit again.

So dry, almost inedible. Apparently the meat (lamb) was delicious, but the falafel kebab was so bad I threw ir away. Absolutely awful

This used to be the best Turkish take away anywhere (the restaurant experience was maybe not quite so good oddly) but as a family run take out it was the greatest. Was being the sad word, they sold up and now it's average at best. So do not pay attention to the misleading rubbish about 'long-standing', it's nowhere near as good, the best things on the menu have gone, and they know it. Alas.

Didn't realise until I was inside that they had a few tables so decided to eat in. Lovely freshly cooked food and friendly service. This was my first visit but it will not be my last.

What amazing service! The staff were more than accomadating and very welcoming throughout. Felt like they'd bend over backwards to get you what you want. Food was very tasty and freshly made. Will definetly return.

I went there bring the food at home all kebabs are so dry hard to eat and bread with it dry too so hard to eat and expensive too..in 27 pound only 6 small kebab and a small portion donner meat ...will never go there again.

Seriously gone down hill, it used to be lovely I had it a few weeks ago and the food was dry, thought it might be a one off so tryed again tonight, but it was bad again, the breads changed now it’s more like a wrap and very very dry and hard, the falafel and halloumi didn’t taste fresh and the meat was dry, I won’t be back unfortunately which is a shame as I used to love the food from here

I'd like to give 0 stars! Had delivery and spent £15, the naan bread for the kebab was absolutely stale!! Couldn't even eat it! Phoned to complained, person on the phone couldn't do anything and I was told to complain to the owner of the shop, they said it was due to how long the delivery took. However, the naan was awful and this was not because the delivery took a while. Waste of money, disappointed meal, will never order from here again. Food quality was very poor.

Always the best food, and great service

Food was bland and dry, and also arrived stone cold. Dolma clearly came from a tin. £28 down the drain.

No taste, mixed grill more like bland chicken and less shish and khofte. Salad defo not turkish. Sauces not good. And the bread more like a bad tortilla wrap... will defo not recommend......this can not be classed as authentic turkish cuisine.

Alas has gone down hill massively with a change of ownership. Used to be a chorlton institution but the quality has just gone. No longer is the donner homemade, or if it is it tastes as rank and bland as any cheap kebab shop (except they are still charging £6.90). Sad sad times. Wont be returning.

I always buy the donner kebab from them but recently I've noticed the donner kebab isn't home made anymore. It's the generic ones sold everywhere else and cost £7 still?

Excellent quality food, excellent service, very clean and friendly. They use Cardboard box. If they use wooden fork, they will be 100% environmental friendly. Please make it happen. Thumb up.

Lovely food but staff can hardly speak English but should not putt you off because food is good and not necessarily all food is Turkish. It has Arabic food etc

I have been using Turkish Delight for a number of years when Dennis was the owner for both takeaway and eating in the restaurant. I paid a visit last night to find that Dennis had sold the business but I still placed an order and I wish that I hadn't as its no where the previous standard but the prices are still the same. This will be my last visit unfortunately.

Pretty disappointing. 11 quid fir a mainly 'home made donner' and lamb and shish. The donner was like any other kebab House, the shish was pretty tasteless. The lamb was nice. The salad was boring. The chilli sauce tasted like something bought in a pound shop... It's no Panicos. Won't be trying again.

Removed my review comments on just eat which is a discrace. Mixed kebab with all the Donner scraps was absolutely awful also chicken roll was still pink and raw usually a great place but been on a steady decline since new owners took over. If collecting go panicos or kofte and shish next door better value and you get more meat and it will always be fully cooked

Lovely food but at a hefty price tag. Be ready to spend ten quid as a minimum for a kebab. No matter how lovely it is, some things have inflated price in contrast to value.

Falafel kebab was dry and flavourless. Missing the chilli sauce which they even charged me extra for!

Not as good since changed ownership. Kofta and Shish next door has some of old staff and great homemade doner that used to be served in TD..

Fantastic food and service as always. The food here is always fresh and delicious, meats are well cooked and the salad and sauce is always fresh. The staff are always friendly and courteous.

Gone downhill since last visit. Cold food. Not freshly cooked (out of metal box rather than off grill). Minimal salad selection. Didn’t ask what sauces I’d like. Grimly and stressed staff. Not sure what’s happened to this place but that’s me done.

I have been a customer of this restaurant for over 13 years, often visiting twice a week. Under the previous management of Deniz, this was the best Turkish restaurant in Manchester with excellent quality homemade ingredients cooked to perfection at a fair price.Since the change of ownership the quality of the food has declined dramatically, whilst the price has increased.What used to be their own recipe doner meat is now the same doner meat available at any kebab shop. The food no longer has any flavour, the kofte and chicken are tasteless. The lahmacun and pide which are new additions to the menu are ok.After todays visit having ordered the chicken breast, which was already grilled and reheated on the grill for two minutes, this will be my last visit to Turkish Delight.

OK but not as good as panics across the road

I have been a customer here for over 30 years but not so much recently. Anyhow, I popped in today as the queue for Panicos (across the road) was too long. In the past, this place was outstanding, but the chicken kebab I got here today was terrible. The bread was not heated, the chicken was bland and the the whole kebab was plastered in a not very pleasant garlic and chilli sauce. I presume it is under new management as I could not see Denis or any of his team around. What a shame - one of Chorlton's best and longest established restaurants down the drain.

Just ordered tonight for the first time via deliveroo, due to a mix up with address (my fault) I missed the initial order, contacted Turkish Delight direct explained the issue and they offered to remake the food free of charge. Use to be my goto place for a kebab. Recently after their refurb it seems everything has changed and not all for the better. Prices here are above average, portions are above average. The Donner here has always been homemade but lately (last 3 times) the quality has really gone down, its more salty than usual and quite often grainy with gristle. The other meats are still the same which is very good quality and all lightly marinated/seasoned so you can taste the meat. The chilli sauce has been Changed and no longer the same as in the past, some may like it more but not me personally, I prefer old one. I would recommend getting their tomato sauce separately but chilli and yoghurt in the kebab so that it's not too wet. They use bought in nan bread which is a bit thin and tasteless. The salad is fresh and you get plenty. I think the above average price can be justified for the quality and hopefully the donner problem can be fixed. 8/10 Update: Positive feedback from owner. I really want this to be a 10/10. Will come visit soon to see if there's been positive changes.

Was Amazing food & very busy but unfortunately it's now changed hands and it's turning into a regular Kabab shop. Really a shame as we would travel over from Bolton to come here (a little extreme lol)

We've been ordering from Turkish Delight for over 10 years, but our most recent order was very disappointing. An item was missing, which meant my partner didn't have half of her meal. We rang the restaurant - they apologised for the mistake, but said there was no way they could get it to us, as all of their drivers were busy for the rest of the evening. This seems ridiculous, as we live less than 10 mins drive from Turkish Delight. We had to order from another takeaway for my partner. As for the food - my kebab was just OK. Easily the worst I've had from Turkish Delight. Food from here used to be so consistently good. Poor customer service and mediocre food quality means I doubt we'll order from here again.

Nice little place, decent prices and lovely food decent size menu with lots of choice and friendly and attentive staff. It also has a takeaway section. **edit** no longer under same management foods not as good as it was when I first reviewed it's now just bordering on below average imo sorry to say no longer use this place.

5 stars given last year (I'd loved this place for over 30 years). Unfortunately things have changed it's now under new ownership and the food just doesn't measure up to the previous standard. The menu looks similar but what you get doesn't looks or taste as good. To add insult to injury I was promised 20% discount for collection and they charged me full price. I and my family will no longer be making the journey to Chorlton for our Turkish.

The food was cold and the donner was rubbery. The nan bread is too thin and not the fresh type. I had ahead about this place, but somewhat disappointed after eating that.

I have been going to this place for as long as I can remember, my dad was going regularly long before then too. It was amazing, a gem in Manchester imo. Unfortunately it has changed ownership and the quality of the food has dropped dramatically. Meat over cooked or chewy and my god that amazing handmade donner is now no more, portion sizes are poor and service is avg. Such a shame, it would have been fine if the new owners maintained the same level of quality but for whatever reason that hasn’t happened.

Seems like it’s under new management or has new staff. Menu is slightly different and food was not as nice as it used to be. There was lots of confusion when we came to collect our order and the extras I asked for were missing even though I checked twice that they had been added to the bag. Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll order from here again.

The meats were nice, but the Naan is too thin and the juices split though the Naan. It was very difficult to eat. If you provided a bigger and thicker Naan, same amount and quality of meats/salad, it would be a 4*. The price is a little steep too. £10 for a mixed kebab 🤔

The place isn't what it used to be. I think it's under new management as didnt recognize any of the staff there. Food was cold when we brought it home ( I only live a few minutes away ) food was tasteless and rubbery, the prices have increased alot to, just had food costing £17, where as the same food cost me £12 a few months ago. Food was awful, never going again.

Llevamos más de 20 años viniendo a Turkish Delight, pero esta noche nos lo llevaron, la primera vez desde el cierre y fue realmente decepcionante. Llamé con anticipación y pregunté por nuestros kebabs sin salsa de yogur, pero cuando llegué a casa, todos estaban cubiertos. Solo 2 piezas de halloumi en uno de los kebabs de halloumi y todo estaba muy frío. Me aconsejaron 35 minutos y recogieron después de los 25 también. Además, no hay descuento para la recolección como se anuncia. Realmente espero que sea mejor si lo intentamos de nuevo, ya que siempre ha sido uno de nuestros favoritos para llevar.

We ordered £30 of food via JustEat. After 1hr 40min of waiting we called the restaurant several times to see if we could get a delivery time, but no answer. Whilst we were calling the order was incorrectly marked as delivered. JustEat are now investigating, no refund and no food. Very unimpressed.

Don't order through Just Eat. If your experience is anything like mine they'll take your money but won't pick up the phone and the food will never arrive. £30 poorer and hungry. Total joke.

Probably one of the worst kebabs I've ever had! Nasty over salted meat to the most disgusting dry so called nan bread!! Has this place had knew owners? I would give this a wide birth.

The food was absolutely divine! We ordered 2 kebabs one with doner meat, garlic chicken and one mix kebab (lamb kofta., lamb doner and garlic chicken! Tastes exactly like when your in turkey 🇹🇷!!

Very greedy owners, they literally put their prices up by a third in the last year or 2. £10 for a mixed kebab to takeout. Unacceptable.
