Turkish Kitchen Brentwood in Brentwood

I have been ordering for takeaway and dining in with them for a couple of years now but last night I felt cheated by them. I paid £7.50 for Calamari and they sent me 3 pieces of Calamari!! See photos! 3 for £7.50? It's beyond a joke. Can't believe this is how they treat their loyal customers. Very disappointing!

We were served by this lovely lady called Filiz! You are an amazing thank you so much for being so lovely. The food was amazing but the hospitality was even better ♥️

Filiz was very lovely and helped out a lot! We went to break our fast and asked if they had dates, she said no sadly but she had managed to get us some in order to break our fast!! This was soo wholesome and lovely of her! We arrived at the restaurant a little master than expected but Filiz had managed to get our food out just in time. The food was great and the service was excellent, had such a lovely time!! And the tea was banging!!! 😋

Love this family business. Amazing souls. So hard working people and what a delight each and single time. Great service! Epic portions of food - I was stuffed! The lamb ribs were so tasty and juicy. The bread was yummy, drinks were great! No complaints from my end.

We enjoyed absolutely everything about being here. I definitely would not say the portions are small - we both had to take food home despite our best efforts to finish it because we were enjoying it quite a bit. The service we received from the gentleman attending our table was second to none. The music in the background was soft enough to not be a bother. We found the prices fair. Can’t fault the place.

Very Very Average Food. NOTHING Special. Don't expect to be wowed by the food. While the atmosphere of the restaurant is undeniably impressive—creating a lively and inviting ambiance—the food falls short of expectations. Unfortunately, the cuisine is nothing special and doesn’t match the promise of the setting. The dishes are very average at best, and there's little to leave you impressed or wanting to return If you're here for the vibes, but The food is Average at best 👌

Loved this fabulous Turkish restaurant. We went for my sister’s special birthday celebration. I have been before, but on this occasion they went above and beyond to look after us. The service and food is excellent. My daughter lives in Brentwood and recommended this place. Defo one to go back to again and again.

Last minute reservation with a group of colleagues while working in the area. The food was well prepared and delicious, though I did think the chicken thighs were a little sparce compared to the mixed platters. The service was attentive and polite. Overall, it's a good restaurant.

Went to Turkish Kitchen, Brentwood for the first time today, on recommendation of our colleagues who had enjoyed their meal there the previous week. We went for the lunch menu which was excellent: lots of choice and great value. The food was beautiful - one of us had chicken, the other, vegetarian dishes. Service was friendly, professional and swift. We had a lovely time and can’t wait to return. Thank you Turkish Kitchen, Brentwood. We enjoyed our meal and visit so much.

When I visited this place for the first time and found the lunch menu appealing, with all the food being quite tasty I was very happy finding that place. However, the portions were on the smaller side, so I made sure to enjoy the complimentary bread, which comes with lovely sauces—the chili sauce was both fruity and spicy. I expected the tea to be more authentically Turkish, and I wasn't fond of the desserts I tried. On the positive side, the lamb was absolutely delicious—possibly the best I've ever had. It's a shame the portion size could have been larger, though maybe it's different at dinner. I wasn't too impressed with the bulgur and rice, either.

Just enjoyed a delicious meal with my wife at the Turkish Kitchen Restaurant, mojito to start (the best) Adana kebab meal for me and my wife the Chicken/Lamb shish, but cooked to perfection and the waitress was polite and timely. Great news for the whole family.

A very good place to eat. Big portions. Everything is very tasty. Before meal they bring different tasty sauces with tasty bread. After meal they bring Turkish sweets and little chocolate when bill is paid. It was a pleasant surprise. Waiter was very polite and communicative. Thank you so much!

If you get a starter, such as hummus, and eat that with the complimentary bread with dips, that are brought to the table first thing, be careful not to kill your appetite, as you may find it difficult eating the main course.

Food was great, but service was terrible. No tap water. Some food didn’t arrive, but they still charged us.

The resteraunt itself is very nice and stylish, waiting staff friendly. The meat and salad was tasty, generous portions of chips too. Drinks are a bit over priced and the rice we ordered tasted gone off/slightly burnt which let us down.

Did Prosecco lunch and it was fabulous. 2 courses from a la carte menu with restrictions on only a couple of mains. Prosecco was left on table and one person did not do deal and paid £31 for food and we paid £30 each. Definitely recommend. Dessert was baklava and ice cream

Wanted to try somewhere new so we came here. The atmosphere was lovely. The service was immaculate and the servers were so kind and welcoming. They are also very accommodating and friendly to children. The food was very delicious, We had lamb chops and chicken wings. There was a lot of tasty starters and the meat was cooked to perfection. There was also a nice selection of desserts and drinks. Overall I loved this place, it was definitely one of the best Turkish restaurants I’ve been to, would definitely come again! Thank you.

Our first time at Turkish food. OMG, it won't be our last....absolutely delicious 😋. 4 of us...we shared Turkish flatbread with Mince topping, lamb Chops, kebabs with rice/bulgar wheat and an amazing 3-colour salad.

My daughter and I visited on a Thursday late afternoon/ early evening just after shopping. We were greeted at the door and as the place was empty we could choose our seats. We were given complimentary pitta and dips. We ordered garlic mushrooms and whitebait for starters. The garlic sauce was AMAZING! The whitebait was cooked to perfection, crispy and very tasty too. My daughter ordered the Sarma Lamb Beyti and I order the Lamb Ribs. Both dishes were very tasty and all dishes were great portions, we were absolutely stuffed. I highly recommend visiting if you haven't already. Great atmosphere, lovely polite staff and awesome food. 👌 Revisited May 2024. For starters, we ordered calamari rings and scallops. For the mains, we ordered lamb chops and lamb ribs, and for dessert we had baclava and ice cream. Same quality service and delicious food!

Popped in, great service, quick hot food, high quality Turkish meal. Asked for a few thing all done to high standard. Competitive price for the town. Easy night out.

I really like the place, food and the people. I can recommend Sarma Beyti, mix grill and chicken wings for main dish, hummus kauvurma for the side dish. I din’t like the Lahmacun. The rest are pretty good and tasty.

Tony was incredible and very tentative to us - he could not have been better we had Tarama and Halloumi to start which were lovely - lamb chops were ordered for 1 main and were lovely , we ordered mash and veg which were not needed as it came with rice and salad !! I had the fish kebab which was dry and a little over cooked.

Don’t sit in Nando’s waiting nearly a hour for overcooked cold chicken , this a great place to eat , lovely service and fast turn around on great quality food I will be returning very soon if you haven’t been here ! This visit wasn’t a repeat unfortunately! We waited a long time to order. We then got the bread and enough time to eat 1 pice each before they came with the main. I don’t understand why Turkish places find it hard to get hot food out hot! The vegetarian mussaka cold with piping hot sauce poured on top! The waiter said he would replace it right away 10 mins later a new one arrived again pipping hot sauce on top but again warm I ate half as the other half was cold and not nice at all! This was our 4 or 5th visit normally really nice this was Sunday 28th jan so thought give it one last chance Today 3rd Feb 2024 Went in placed order I explained to the woman that can they please ensure it’s hot as last week it was cold she said no problem Food came it was almost frozen she was very polite saying he put it in the microwave sorry but I am paying for a freshly cooked meal not a frozen Iceland meal. It was sent back with my partners he said (please keep mine warm as we want to eat together) again she said “ok no problem” food came back mine no change still very cold His now from hot to cold we walked out. Its sad as it was a good place not any more please avoid

Me, my husband and my boys came here yesterday evening for our dinner, lovely warm atmosphere from the moment we entered, very helpful, friendly staff and lovely decor. The food is of very good quality, fair portion sizes and tasted great. The boys were happy with their food and like there cute little penguin ice creams. Overall very happy with our experience. We hope to return at some point in the future

Nice restaurant in terms of layout and decor but food was very disappointing. Starters order was incorrect so we had to reorder. Prawn cocktail was very heavy with the Marie rose sauce which wasn't pleasant . Meat on the shish kebabs didn't have a really bbq'd flavour and salad was wet and soggy. Wouldn't return

We love this place. Our favourite place to eat in Brentwood. Always a warm welcome, friendly and attentive service. Hilmi looked after us very well on our most recent visit. We’ve eaten in three times now and had take away once. The lamb shish was tender and melt in your mouth, previously we’ve had the chicken and monkfish. Can’t fault it…….

Four of us (plus babies) dined her for lunch to enjoy the lunchtime deal. We had plenty of space to park prams/pushchairs, and the staff were very attentive. The food was excellent. All of the usual favourites from Turkish cuisine, with plenty of warm bread and dips to pick away at throughout! We enjoyed a starter and main course each, I'd highly recommend the mixed shish, and the chicken bayti looked incredible! Highly recommend, we look forward to our next parent meet here!

Great service from Hilmi, great food

The guys there acted very rude and did not listen to my dietary requirements.

Service was normal and as expected for a restaurant of their size however, their hygiene was horrible. Their bathroom had human remains smudged on the walls so of course if they leave their public bathroom like this I’m worried for what’s happens in the kitchen.

Disappointed, we decided to try Turkish kitchen in brentwood. We could instantly tell they use very cheap cuts of lamb. The lamb was chewy, dry and over cooked. I am used to lamb being seasoned well and melt in the mouth tender at our usual place (Aspera Benfleet) Annoys me when places scrimp on quality putting a bad name on Turkish food. Note to the restaurant owners (use lamb neck fillet for your shish) your prices reflect good quality meat, please serve it. Edit to your response. I think you must be confusing us with another customer who may have complained about your tough meat. I have no issues eating food. My review was about the cheap and dry lamb you serve your customers, compared to my usual place who serve very tender juicy lamb which isn’t chewy whatsoever. I wouldn’t feed this lamb to my dog let alone my family. I can guarantee the lamb you serve your own family at home is far superior to the cuts of lamb you serve in this restaurant. Do the owners sample the meat you serve?

I could not fault the food or the service however they’ve got to sort their toilets out. The furthest cubicle in the gents looked like it had not been cleaned in months, absolutely rank. For such a nice restaurant this was such a surprise. Give them a good deep clean please.

Came here for a meeting in their upstairs room. 1) Came in wasn’t offered a drink or anything. Had to track the waiter down and he could barely understand English. 2) Didn’t bring me any starters and gave it to everyone else. Couldn’t say anything as the main talk had already started. 3) Mains came out and brought me a tiny chicken shish despite me ordering a mixed shish. The waiter said he would get me lamb but it never materialised. 4) Mains were stone cold and dry. Was so fed up that I didn’t stay for dessert. Total disaster and waste of time. DO NOT come here. Spend your money in a better restaurant.

I called the Turkish kitchen to explain that I wanted to place an order via deliberoo, but due to allergies to wheat, could I just have plain rice. The rice normally comes with barley/bulger wheat mixed with it. The man I spoke to on the phone went and informed the kitchen and asked me to also put celiac on my deliveroo notes to the restaurant. My food turned up an hour and 1/2 later with barley/bulger wheat in the rice, despite me calling and leaving a note with my order. I called up again and they said they would send out another order with the correct plain rice,and take the old order back. Another hour later, my new order arrived, with the correct rice but this time my salad was missing. All in all it was a terrible experience They clearly have a lack of knowledge when it comes to food allergies and the severity of them. I won't be using them again.

Friendly efficient service, nice size food portions and very flavoursome as well, Alice our waitress was amazing and very attentive and went out of her way to check we were satisfied with everything. Well done to all the staff and everyone for an excellent evening. Thoroughly recommended. We will definitely come back again.

After booking 6 or more weeks ago for a family dinner for my boyfriends 21st I am totally appalled by the service we had experienced. When we arrived, the table was not even laid out. We had made several complaints due to it being so cold where we was seated and due to the fact we had a newborn baby and a 4 year old. When the drinks orders had come out, these were completely messed up and had to chase up the correct drinks. When our starters arrived, after having to chasing up bread and dips also, we requested the 4 year olds children’s meal to be brought out with starters which this never happened, after being chased up we recieved nothing. She was starving. After 2 hours waiting for simply our main meals, we had been told there has been some confusion with orders and was given 2 meals that belonged from the table behind. We didn’t think anything of this before we was told and they started eating. They had then finished both meals and we was still waiting. We was totally disappointed and had totally ruined our 21st birthday celebrations.

26th November 2022 - appalling service, drinks incorrect and chased up starters, then we left as nearly 2 hours of being seated no main course except for 2 of our 14 party getting other people delivered to them!! The table next to us complaining as two of their dinners had been given to us and they had to send some of their dinners back as cold. It was my nephews 21st Birthday so he was very upset along with my family, very unhelpful and rude management I wouldn’t step back in this establishment and would say to anyone else don’t go there it was an awful experience and disgraceful behaviour from the management. They are only interested in all the deliveroo drives/take sways rather than the restaurant customers disgraceful

It’s shame as I’m local and have ordered from here many times before, but the service and food has been getting steadily worse… And our last order was the final straw for this restaurant and we will not be going back … In the past the food has been lovely and although slightly on the expensive side, the quality has made up for it. But our last order was very disappointing indeed £16 for 4 yes (four) small falafels on a bed of very thin hummus, and tiny salad. The Adana Kebab came with very little rice and hard bread ..!! The side of Halloumi & Sucuk was a joke tiny piece of cheese and a cocktail size sausage … Sadly I can’t recommend this restaurant for take away - hopefully the service and food in the actual place would be better ? And at least I could have complained in person an order of £50 that could have been spent more wisely elsewhere … And so we will avoid and use another Turkish takeaway …

A great meal and service from Ben. Nothing was too much trouble, thoroughly enjoyed our meal especially the avocado salad with extra chicken.

Had dinner on a Friday night with a group of girlfriends to celebrate a 40th. We all had a lovely time. Food was good, drinks arrived promptly. Overall service very good. They were very accommodating and did not rush us out at the end of the night. Will be back!

Spent the evening at the Turkish Kitchen on 9th April. The food was amazing, staff friendly and accommodating, to top it all there was a singer called Hope who had an outstanding voice and covered a variety of genres, made the evening even more enjoyable. been here lots of times over the course of a year with my friends and recently with my boyfriend. staff have always been so lovely and friendly and we’re never waiting for service long. the food is also soo nice & rlly good cocktails. one of my favourite restaurants to go and definitely recommend it for couples :)

We ordered lamb chops- they came with grains and rice and salad. So tender and what fabulous flavour. Absolutely delicious- we ate everything. There was an extra little surprise - like rice pudding but thinner and more gentle- as though angels had made it.

The food was amazing and the staff were very attentive. It’s a shame that I was just visiting Brentwood otherwise I would be back for another visit.
