Food is nice but some of the staff are so rude I've never had a restaurant experience like it. Perhaps let someone actually sit down and take their coat off before you ask them what they want to drink or let them finish starters before you take away their plates. Having read other google review comments, I'm not the first to have experienced this either so the restaurant clearly aren't addressing this. I won't be returning or recommending. I was embarrassed to have taken my family here and had this experience.

Disappointing food. Foil container upside-down and oil everywhere in bag. Biryani flavour not as nice as other Indian restaurants and quite spicy.

Second visit to Nirvana last night but very disappointed. Good food but it was stone cold and wasn’t enjoyable. We found the staff quite rude as well and spoke to you in quite an aggressive manner. No smiles or pleasantness at all. Won’t be returning.

The best Indian Restaurant and I have tried many. I have been going here for over 20 years, the staff and owner are friendly, the food is very tasty and the prices are very good. I strongly recommend you visit this place you will not be disappointed. Their take aways are also great, but with such friendly staff why not dine in. Rob recommends: any thing from the menu! Food is good but the service ain't all great, Depends on who's looking after your table. This one guy every time we go in never have a smile when we as something it's almost it's extra job for him! Our services change it's all most £20! So we expected more good service.

Food is absolutely delicious, and thoroughly enjoy going here. I don’t know if I have just caught some of the staff on bad days, but some (definitely not all) of the serving staff have acted like we are causing them an inconvenience by coming to the restaurant and were unfortunately quite rude to members of my group. This isn’t a deal breaker but did put a slight damper on the overall experience :(

Honestly, one of the best Indians in the whole of Brentwood, it doesn't look it, the decor is a bit clinical, but the food is just top quality. You won't be disappointed!

Tried a few local Indian takeaways since moving to Billericay and none of them hit the spot. So we drove 10 minutes to Ingatestone and we have found the best in the area. All of the family were very happy with their food. Tasty, great portions of meat and not oily at all. We will be back very soon

Nice meal, plenty of tables. One of the staff seemed a bit moody. Fair price for the food and drink. Small car park at the rear of the building. Front entrance is on the high street.

Good fresh food, friendly welcoming staff who are very Covid aware and well set up for social distancing etc. A really pleasant relaxing evening. Looking forward to a return visit very soon.

Fantastic food and great service

I ordered a Chicken Korma and it came with 4 small pieces of chicken.

Always order out our Indian takeaway treat on Birthdays and Special Occasions from Nirvana (even though it's not the closest to us). Not quite the same as the food we ate on our travels in India, but still a delicious alternative! Always very friendly and polite. Have missed out/mixed up some items on our orders before, but always make them up next time, no problems.

Can't understand why so many good reviews. To be fair the food was nice but the service was awful. The waiter had no table manner, he throw our knives and forks on the table to sort out our selves, only gave out three menus for five people. Then seemed put out by us asking for more. Very pushy on the next course being served to the point that he tried taking our starter before we had finished after we asked for a bit longer before the next course. When serving the dishes he served the closest dish first then leaned over the plate dipping his shirt in it, then was completly no apologetic about it. The first time we had been there we had the same experience but the food was good so we thought to give it another go but it was worse.if they are all so unhappy working there why bother. We defiantly won't.

Surprisingly the Food was nice and well presented. The waiters were everywhere but when you wanted one ..they dissapeared. They were a bit pushy in regards to getting us to order due to us waiting for one more person. ..They tried to get you to drink loads ....not a critism what restaurant doesnt do that anyway. On the whole it was pleasant.

Been going here for approx 30 years find the place and staff really good and helpful. Very rare for me not to have enjoyed food here and when I have complained they've been only too keen to change things. They greet me by my name when I arrive and staff always know I like a cobra on arrival. I do a mixture of eat-in and takeaway depending on how many of us. I find all the staff over the years to be extremely helpful and nice people.

This is the best Indian resturant i have ever been to. It doesnt look like much from outside but the staff and food more than make up for it. I know of this place because my colleagues at work have been going here for years and highly recomended it so i took my son there for hes 13th birthday upon hes requested and we were not disapointed. This is now the only Indian resturant that we go to and we have in turn recommended this pace to many of our friends who also have nothing but good words to say. The staff and food really make this place special. The waiters will tell you what is good at the moment and will make up anything that you want even if it is not on the menu. My personal favourites that i have no problem recommending are the chicken Bongal or the lamb shank. Both are very delicious.

Bought a chicken tikka main meal which when I got home was barely lukewarm and had a hair in it, disgusting and inedible. I won't be going back for some time.

Our first time at this restaurant. Food was ok, but I thought the service was a bit rushed. Waiters did try to rush us , as soon as we had finished our meal they came & changed the table cloth. Would we return here. Not really...

I assume as its one of the only Indian restaurant in the area the local people probably like it as it was very busy people in and out the whole time so shows its popularity. But for us, the food was only okay, the food lacked the spice and flavour i'd expect the staff were a bit short with us too. It wasn't too bad but had many better around essex.

Staff are always so polite, attentive, the phall is so so hot I love it, it's always clean and well managed... weekends expect to wait longer cos they're so popular.. for a small village, they give big town service and quality.. been eating there for over 20 years now.. can honestly say, jubbly..😁

Really good quality Indian! Fantastic service from the staff for both sit in and takeaway! Despite the fact we've moved to Chelmsford we still get our takeaway from here it's that good!

Not a patch on their sister restaurant Bongows in Kelevdon Hatch, very tacky and in need of a complete make over.

Good authentic food, although a bit oily for my liking. Friendly service and reasonably priced.

My favourite place to eat or have a take away, lovely friendly service, scrumptious food and good value.
