Turkish Kitchen in Peterborough

Went to have lunch but the way they talk to a person !!!!! So I got up and left without lunch and with a promise that I will never enter that restaurant again.

Waiting to long to get my order, then no cutlery no tissue and just bit of food and plenty of bread l feel like l order bread only Wasting time and money

Took some time to get seated but that is expected on New Year's Eve. Staff were extremely friendly and professional. Food was really tasty. Will be making another visit to try something different.

Very tasty food, service a little bit hectic, all over the place. Bare in mind it is a very loud place, especially during busy hours. If you prefer quiet cosy dining this deffo is NOT a place for you. For me food compensated for the noise as it was really good.

Discovered by accident - this beautiful Turkish restaurant is well worth a visit. The staff are attentive and friendly and the food is delicious!

Came here for the first time for dinner. Turkish Kitchen you did not disappoint! We arrived to a bust restaurant so expected a small wait as we were a tad early. However we were seated swiftly by a very friendly member of the restaurant team. Our ordered were taken for food and drinks. Both arrived in what I think was a quick time considering it was busy. But the best is yet to come. The food itself was absolutely delicious! We had the jumbo platter for 4 and ordered the feta salad too. All the meats were well cooked and seasoned. The quality was 1st class. The Feta salad was delicious too. We will definitely be back. Thank you

Service was good to start as we arrived 5pm Friday. Food arrived quickly and was very good. However, it soon started filling up and we felt rushed to finish with servers taking plates quickly. It was difficult to leave the venue with so many people crowded at the bar waiting for their tables

The only reason for 4 stars is it's so busy we got bread, starters, mains with no break so all felt absolutely stuffed too soon!! Food was excellent. We said we'd go back & just do mains next time.

The best place to eat in Peterborough

Booked a table for 8 people for 8 o'clock. No table available until 8.45 and it was utter chaos. Food eventually arrived but they were in such a hurry to get clear the table some of us were still eating. It seems they take every booking and hope for the best. Never again.

Really delicious food! We both had the mixed shish, the chicken and lamb was so tender and seasoned perfectly. The staff were very knowledgeable when it came to gluten free and coeliac advice, very friendly!

It was our first visit to this restaurant and it won't be the last. We were looked after from the time we entered until the time we left. The service was absolutely first class. The food was very well presented and tasted delicious. The atmosphere in the restaurant was superb and everyone seemed to get along together. A truly wonderful evening to remember. Customer service top class. Thank you.

Absolutely delicious food. Always fresh and cooked to perfection. I would say however, that if you go out for a meal with friends and want to stay longer and chitchat, bear in mind you might get asked to leave your table as they are soooo busy (doesn’t matter which day of the week, they’re always packed). 2 hrs max stay but cannot fault the food nor the service.

We came as a couple to celebrate my partner's birthday. Although the whole of Peterborough was in there at the same time, and the restaurant was heaving, we could not fault the food or service. Despite being rushed off their feet all of our food and drink arrived quickly and was delicious. Staff greeted us with smiles and jokes and we felt under no pressure despite the madness around us! The staff deserve serious kudos for how they handled the restaurant being completely full. Extremely impressive.

we had a table for 8 booked for xmas works party, despite being so busy, the bar staff was IMPECCABLE cocktails are amazing! bar staff entertaining as food was to die for i had the lab shish it melted in my mouth, thank you to becky and kira x

Food is 5 star but very crowded. Sometimes you may have to wait to get a table. I will suggest you book online before visiting

I have been to many Turkish restaurants but Food here was just okay, not upto the mark. Service wasnt good either. they made us sit at the back of pillar , extreme corner , even though they have many better tables to tuck us in. We ordered around 5 plates, and because they made us sit on a small table of 2, there wasnt enough room and had to arrange it, the irony was that the person who was serving instead of letting me arrange or doing it himself politely, he managed to kick one plate on the table with other in his hand, that was rough and rude. Every single time We had to wait for long to order, to get water, to be served with food, for drinks. Never going back again

Overprice. Food was good. Added service charge without asking if you are agree with. Meal and drinks price already expensive. Service not very well. Seat us next to kitchen window where was very loudly. Waiters all the time walking and talking next to our back. Definitly not place for date

Absolute joke we booked a table of four for 6:30 and arrived to what can only be described as chaos! Totally full and a queue out the door and when we finally got inside we were told they couldn't find our booking We think they just have a sheet of names and just take walk-ins and give booked tables away Utter mayhem and definitely not a place for a relaxing dinner out

Evren is a true delight. He attended to our every needs to make sure that our food was on time and hot. The taste and quality of the food is amazing, the portions are very generous, needless to say we went home with full stomachs and at a price that does not break the bank.Thank you Evren for making my birthday a special day. We will definitely be coming back when we visit Peterborough again.

This is a fantastic restaurant. The food is high quality, the staff friendly and helpful. It's a great place for family (of all ages), celebrations or date night. The food portions are great, not too expensive and there's lots of choice. I recommend booking a table and enjoying the delicious food!

Nosotros y nuestros amigos hemos estado deseando comer un sábado por la noche en este restaurante. Reservamos una mesa que fue reconocida, llegamos al restaurante 7. 55 pm y la escena fue un caos total. Había gente haciendo cola por la puerta, llegamos adentro, no había anfitrión para saludar o incluso explicar lo que estaba pasando. Llegamos a 8. 20 Nadie vino y nos puso al tanto de la situación. Nos fuimos y encontramos otro lugar para comer. Realmente decepcionante, ya que he perdido toda la confianza de reservar de nuevo

Love the mixed grill platter superb grilled wings and freshly made wheat rice (bulgur wheat). The lamb ribs are always succulent and moist grilled to perfection. The staff are attentive, friendly and kind.We always come back

Met some friiends for lunch, staff were excellent and the food was anazing. We will definately be back.

Me and my guests felt incredibly rushed on 18/10/24, we were given complimentary bread & dips and before we could even take a bite the maincourses were put down in front of us. There was this large sized waiter who was scruffy and had his loose shirt hanging out which looked very unprofessional but this isn’t the point I wanted to make, he was so grumpy & rude to us, his face was a face of frustration like he didn’t want to work or serve anyone, he made us feel uncomfortable, this same waiter brought us our bill and when I asked for the NON MANDATORY service charge to be removed he had the nerve to interrogate us as to why he should remove it, I explained the service was rushed and we didn’t feel comfortable with this, he continued to try to make an excuse as to why the service charge should remain at which point I had to firmly tell him we wasn’t going to pay any service charge as the service was unsatisfactory. After we paid the bill he threw the card receipt on our table and waddled off to go and back bite about us to a white female colleague, he’s rude, grumpy & unprofessional, a discredit to what was otherwise very nice food.

Ate here on a Saturday afternoon. Impressed by the attentive, but not obsequious, service. Food was promptly served and very tasty. Will definitely be eating here again.

Buena comida, realmente no podría fallar. No dudaría en volver de nuevo. Es un lugar muy concurrido por lo que las reservas son muy recomendables. Estás bastante apretado y era bastante ruidoso, así que si eso es un problema para ti, quizás esto no sea para ti. Pero si quieres buena comida, en un buen ambiente entonces no creo que debas dejar pasar la oportunidad de probar este lugar.

¡Vaya! Tuvimos una ventana de 50 minutos para comer antes de ver un espectáculo en el Teatro, lo encontramos justo al pie de Travelodge. Estaba lleno ya que llegamos a solo 6 pm y nos preguntamos si nos podían servir en ese momento. Servicio increíble, comida fantástica, gran atención al detalle y nos hicieron sentir tan especiales a pesar de estar muy ocupados. Hermoso restaurante, decoración, y volverá. Gracias por una gran comida.

Seeing they were so busy I gave them £60 cash for the meal and told them to keep the change. After getting in the car I realised there was no bread or rice pudding so we went back, I politely asked a gentleman to resolve this and he said "you know we are out of bread" I was a little miffed but headed home without the bread. We got home and I opened the container to find no rice just the meat. I called and explained this to the manager on saturday who wanted to have the rice and bread sent out but I explained it would be too late as we had to eat now but I understand they are very busy so I will call back on Monday to come to an accessible resolution. On Monday I spoke with a gentleman who initially offered a free desert on my next order. I was not prepared to accept this as my £60 meal was ruined on saturday so he agreed to provide me with the same order again free of charge when I next ordered. Today I called and was told "I'm not giving you the whole meal when only the rice was missing" So there will be no more anniversary dinners family meals or takeaway from Turkish Kitchen, Peterborough in the future and I would urge others to do the same. Such a terrible shame. Additional info after the reply: So the plot thickens and now you are prepared to lie in order to cover yourselves. I have never ever requested chips as an alternative to the normal full platter accompaniments but i also never received any chips. Quite frankly I am disgusted by this out right deception in an attempt to discredit my honest review.

The food is great, the Ali Nazik is unbelievable, I couldn't recommend it more. The service is always good.

Delicious grilled meat - perfectly cooked. Great service.

Food is very good - generous portions. Can be a bit noisy when the place is full. Staff where helpful but difficult sometimes to get their attention as the place is usually very busy.

Delicious food and just the right level of attention and welcome from the team. Best cigars boeci ever. Great atmosphere too. Who knew a wet Monday in Peterborough would be so enjoyable.

Best to make a reservation as it's quite busy (visited Friday night).The food was fresh and delicious, the wait staff were knowledgeable and efficient. A bit rowdy as there were 3 birthday dinners when we visited; everyone joined in to sing the birthday song. Overall a great experience; would visit again. Recommended for a visit. 10/10

Worst restaurant ever,you have to order something to eat only to stay in,I was with my boyfriend he ordered something for him and I wasn’t hungry and the waiter told me to order something or leave.

The entire staff is very friendly and attentive to our requests. Atmosphere is warm and inviting. The food is out of this world. I had the Sea Bass and it was seasoned to perfection. Went back the next day and had the same, also had the calamari as a started as well. Delicious. I’m on vacation and my only disappointment is that they don’t have a location in the USA. Love them.

Excellent food at decent prices and nice staff. We went there on a Saturday evening; no reservation; they had a B-Day party, but still accommodated us immediately. The portions are generous! Will definitely go again when i. Peterborough!

Attended this place earlier today without a reservation and even though it was extremely busy, I was still accommodated for very efficiently and given a table. We were given bread with sauces almost instantly after being seated & the waiters were attentive and looking to make sure that all customers where happy. Clean environment, great energy, amazing food. 10/10 experience. I wish it was local to me so I could go regularly.

I have not eaten there, but it is located under the Central Travel Lodge, and I notice that the place is usually packed. So it is popular.

Food was flavorful, but as expected for a Turkish restaurant, however far too many options on the menu. The atmosphere was horrible, there is zero noise dampening so the customers speak louder and louder to hear each other. I couldn't hear the person sat next to me unless they shouted. My ears are still ringing the following day. Service was extremely slow, waited over 40 minutes between starter and main. Won't be attending again for a sit down meal.

Food and service was very good. Update July 2024, food remains decent, atmosphere was good, if a bit loud. For some reason the portions of rice are quite small. Not sure why that is tbh.

What a fantastic gem. The food was exceptional flavour, texture, variety. You know a place is good when it's packed on a Wednesday evening. I'll be coming back here next time I'm in Peterborough.

Food was tasty,came with my Mom and friend.We were 4 ordered the Jumbo platter to my surprise the size has been reduced.Jumbi platter was not enough for us.Sad! Food service good! friendly staff but over priced and small food.

It was nice to have some proper Turkish food. Unfortunately pide was not on the menu, so I couldn't treat myself to that. The tavuk was succulent! Service was also really good. The atmosphere was ok but could be improved a tad, perhaps the size of the dining area requires different levels or different areas to be sectioned off to give a more cosy feel for diners. The bar layout at the front also seems to invite groups of lads in for a drink before their meal, which got loud when we were there, however, this was a Saturday afternoon and maybe the football was on. We were kindly offered a couple of drinks to apologise for the noisy group. I can't speak for how the atmosphere usually is as it was our first visit. We would absolutely come back, and recommend this place!

Fantastic food, Worth many more visits couldn’t fault anything whilst sat at the table - just get there before your booking time as it still was quite a wait. Absolutely worth it though.

It is the second time we come to this Turkish. We really liked it the first time and we have repeated bringing friends later. It is not usually necessary to reserve since the premises are quite spacious and there is usually availability. The hummus is especially delicious and they provide a good portion of bread, not like in other places where an extra portion is usually needed. The other dishes were also very good.

Went there tonight for my birthday. Heard rave reviews about this place. Definitely didn’t disappoint. Food was beautiful! Very flavoursome, juicy! Delicious. Friendly staff. Reasonable pricing.

I absolutely love it here. One of my favourite places but the last few times I've been there it's like they are hovering around, watching to quickly collect my plates. I feel rushed when eating.

Went there with my other half and i must say it was amazing from the food to the service wouldn't fault anything. We ordered loads and were able to take what we couldn't finish as take away. Would definitely recomend and will be return for another meal.

Lovely food and wonderful staff

A very busy Saturday evening but staff coped quite well. Big shout out to the chefs because every seat in the restaurant was taken, twice over. The food was great all 4 of us were impressed with the quality of the food, the flavours and the portions. Looking very much forward to eating here again soon. The lahmacun is delicious.

The food was delicious, and I loved their house lemonade! The waiter took the time to come straight over, after I returned from washing my hands, to warn me about the spicy dipping sauce for the bread. Out of an abundance of caution, I can see why they go the extra mile to warn people, but it was very tame to the spicy food I usually consume. Really a very good experience.

Never in my life I’ve had such tender chicken liver! Everything was so delicious! I liked that my request has been met. I’ve asked for meat only and I’ve had plate with meat but usually chefs tend to put something else on. Service is at the top.
