Polish Kitchen U Gutka in Peterborough

No matter how many times I order food there, something will always surprise me. The food is always delicious and fresh, and I saw it again today.

Today I ordered cucumber soup and a pancake with goulash for two people, I can't eat it (two portions, one is left for tomorrow) I recommend, as always, the food at Gutek's is delicious

So went with friends to U Gutka, I'm English they are Polish. Staff speak both languages. Food portions are amazing and so tasty. Price wise I thought it was very reasonable indeed. I had a 4 tier burger for £19. They don't have an alcohol license so you can take your own beer/wine but they will charge you £3 for a glass, I drank from the bottle (beer), you maybe able to take your own glass you'd have to ask. But I am definitely going back!! Parking, we parked down a side street which had a 1 hour free limit, there are shopping places nearby which have big car parks but I didn't park there for risk of clamping (farm foods)

Very tasty food, elegantly served, large salads, delicious, you can eat as much as you want, and nice service, you can see that the chef puts a lot of thought into it, I recommend it to everyone, I will definitely visit from time to time 😋😋😋😁

Waiting just few minutes for food but the portion is massive. Delicious food couldn’t eat all so I’ve taken the rest home. Place worth to come. Prices for that portion is very small and the smallest in Lincolnshire. Definitely I will visit again.

We came here because our original plan didn't work but we were pleasantly surprised! The staff were excellent, the lady at the counter gave us excellent service she was polite, quick and informative. When we got the food the portions were large and it was delicious, you can tell by the pictures we enjoyed it plus there was so much we got to take some home. All in all we had an amazing time and would recommend.

I had the pleasure of visiting the "U gutka" restaurant today and I must admit that it was one of the best culinary experiences I have ever had. What sets this restaurant apart is undoubtedly the chef's passion for what he does. This is visible in every detail - from carefully selected ingredients, through masterful preparation of dishes, to well-thought-out flavor compositions. Mrs. Ewelina is very friendly, competent and polite, but also not overbearing. She was happy to make recommendations and made sure our dining experience was excellent from start to finish. While introducing a really warm and homely atmosphere😊 "U Gutka" is a place to which we will return with pleasure. The passion with which the owner and chef approaches his work makes every visit here a real feast for the senses. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to try authentic Polish cuisine at its best. We will definitely come back again!!!

Huge portions, prices are really OK, and you can eat and eat salads, I haven't eaten beets like that for a long time, they're great 😝 I recommend them and it's a good thing I don't have them Close to you because I would be there every day And of course there would be more of me 😜

the casserole was not very tasty, too fatty, the Hungarian pancake was also not good, it was not crispy and did not resemble a pancake, I do not recommend it, the prices are high for such poor dishes

Fantastic food! Great portions, truly delishes, cooked freshly, and served quickly. Wonderful customer service, asked for soup to be served first, wasn't a problem. Our daughter, a toddler ate 3/4 of the adult portion. She loved it ! We will definitely be back , ever tho its over an hour drive. Family of 6 from Leicester.

The atmosphere in here was very nice and cute. I had meat and cottage cheese dumplings and it was a bit dry but overall very good, we also were given some bread with some kind of meat paste to put on it and was very nice. The salad bar was very fresh and was a good amount of option. The service was okay, not much to say. Recommended and would come here again.

Yesterday, March 9, 2024, I ordered croquettes, broth, dumplings with meat, Russian dumplings and a Hungarian pie. I'm disgusted because only the pie tasted ok. The dumplings were absolutely terrible, smelled of old meat, old fat... they went to the trash. The croquettes were very burnt and greasy, as if they had been accidentally thrown into deep oil. :/ The broth also smelled of old meat, not to mention the taste. I must admit that I'm pissed that you even serve something like this to people. Shame. Highly recommended! I DO NOT RECOMMEND! It's a pity that there is no place to eat well in Peterborough, in Polish... EDIT: No one asked us if we liked it, so please don't jump on your customers as if the chef was coming to a Michelin restaurant to ask if they liked it. It's a joke, really... it's a complete joke. None of us said we liked it because no one asked us for our opinion. Besides, most of the food was taken away, so it's hard to express opinions straight away "at the counter" when it's takeaway, right? On site, some of the broth was eaten because the children and we were already very hungry, and we packed one to take away. You can ignore burnt and fatty croquettes, but it happens. But when at home it turned out that the takeaway portions of dumplings were disgusting and smelled of old meat and fat, it was a bit of an exaggeration. The takeaway broth was also tried by the rest of the family and each of us said the same thing! Old and smelly. We went to the dumpling shop, but unfortunately it was closed. It's a pity, because what's happening here at Gutek's is a misunderstanding. I WILL RECOMMEND AGAIN!!

Unfortunately we will not return here. Even though it looked tasty, thanks to the story on the menu, how dreams were made. The meat smelled unpleasant, there was a salad bar, unfortunately no one informed about its staff. It's worth working on the kitchen. As well as accepting criticism, because I looked at the comments and I'm already waiting for a response.

I've dined here before it was great absolutely loved food portions and service.I have decided to try them a year later and order.The food was soaked in grease doesn't seem to be seasoned at all.All u can taste is an old grease the only thing I liked from the entire order was fresh cabbage salad.Very disappointed as I was looking forward to trying this place again.

Ordered two kebabs with my partner. The delivery driver was very polite and the food was delivered within the time specified however, there was not much meat within the kebab, the chips did not seem very fresh but the sauces were very good.

Great place. Friendly, relaxed atmosphere. For fresh food you have to wait about half an hour to 45 minutes, I believe. It's the same here and it doesn't bother us at all. Better to wait and eat fresh. Well done, Gutek team! See you.

Food of average quality, portions quite large but not fresh. The refrigerator in which the raw materials are kept does not cool and that was probably the reason for our stomach revolution🤢. There is no need to comment on the decor, or rather the lack thereof... very dirty inside. I do not recommend ... I have the right to express opinions and I won't hesitate to do so if I felt like a revolution after eating your food. We waited for the food for 45 minutes, the salads were standing in the sun in a fridge that didn't work, after trying them they weren't even cold... and I won't describe how dirty the room was. Just look at the stairs on the first floor....just warn everyone and we will never go back there! Edition Great arrogance speaks for you! I gave an honest opinion that you should take to heart and work on your restaurant and not compare every Pole... the plates were not empty, so please don't judge yourself... none of us told you that we liked the food because we weren't even asked about it . Even if you boast about a lot of people, it is not easy to remember everyone. I am posting my opinion to warn people who are planning to visit your restaurant, and your comments prove that you are unable to accept criticism and even insult your customers. PLEASE AVOID!

My partner and I ordered U Gutek's food for lunch to try it because of the many good reviews and delicious-looking photos on social media. So: 1. We ordered via Uber Eats around 12, which was before opening, and chose the earliest available delivery option at 1:30-2:00 p.m. Unfortunately, the food didn't arrive until around 2:40 p.m. I don't understand how you can't make it so far in advance. I will add that the gentleman who delivered it was very nice. 2 Classic casserole - I don't know how many mushrooms there were, but you couldn't feel them much. The casserole was quite far from the classic taste I know, and the baguette was probably of average freshness. 3. Doner Kebab in a bun. The bun is quite good, you can see that the owner doesn't skimp on the amount of meat, salad or sauces. Unfortunately, the meat itself was completely tasteless. Sorry to say so, but I don't think we've ever eaten worse in our lives. As a result, the kebab was actually not very edible and most of it ended up in the trash. I know prices are high everywhere these days, but for £17 for a Casserole and a Kebab this bad is a bit much. I wouldn't regret it if the food was delicious and worth it, but unfortunately we were disappointed, and I'm not sure if I'll ever eat at Gutek's again.

The food was cold and I waited an hour for the casseroles, the place was empty.

The first time the burger was burnt, we waited 50 minutes, the second time the casserole was cold in the middle and simply not tasty.
