O Sado in Peterborough

Stop off occasionally for a pint of Super Bock. Lovely little bar, service is always welcoming and friendly. Atmosphere inside is always good too. Enjoyable place to be!

Unbelievable that the owners sister would injure and hospitalise a customer of 4 years. . Shame on you both for not answering calls. The issue came up because the premises had two non SIA “ security” acting on supposedly the bars licence. One of which made a racial accusation, the person in charge assaulted a disabled person whom needed to be hospitalised and her personal belongings (tablet) destroyed . Attempts to call management were met by phone blocking and ignorance.

Came here for tapas and a few beers with a friend - great food, ice cold beers and friendly, welcoming service! The chicken gizzards in particular were bloody delicious 😋 !!

Good food and drink with friendly staff

I have been a regular since this restaurant opened, fantastic service, great food and very nice portion size. The Portuguese wines, beers and spirits (fire water), the tapas,the desserts and of course the famous espresso, make this house a very good representation of the Portuguese smells and flavors. Now with a new decor! The quality versus price it's very friendly I should say. Highly RECOMMENDED

For those who live in Birmingham and don't have any Portuguese coffee, when they arrive in Peterborough they see gold with so many. I like Sado.

Stopped here for Lunch after a 2hr drive from London, a very friendly place, had a lovely pork dish of the day.

Great tapas bar with nice entertainment at weekends. Try the bifanas (portuguese fried pork fillet sandwich) wich are the best in town and down it with a portuguese beer at £2 each bottle or a glass of fine Portuguese wine for £1,50

Really friendly staff , good atmosphere , very nice food cooking by Portuguese chefs , the right place for taste a Portuguese wine, fish, tapas , and the simply welcome only Portuguese people can do! Recommend!!!

Great little cafe bar. We just love this place, it's like being on holiday and everyone is so friendly. Had an excellent Americano and a pastry this morning, usually enjoy a couple of glasses of wine ( after lunch!).

It was the worse service in a cafe that I ever received in my whole life they spoke very little English and when I asked what time they serving food till the lady said till late hours of night by the time I went to order some food they said in a rude aggressive manner weren't serving anymore so I was very disappointed the way I've been treated which will never ever be back there again and I wouldn't recommend to anyone the way I've been mistreated! I come out from O sado quite upset and I wish I never been there!

Lovely little family run place, VERY cheap drinks and amazing food!

I know this place since they were one of the best places in Peterborough to taste the real Portuguese flavours in... almost everything. Starting with a delicious coffee range to take in or out, you can find here a worldwide beer selection staring the Portuguese brands, flavoured traditional tapas and small sweet indulgences to settle down while you’re visiting. The premises were recently refurbished and the front Shop looks outstanding. Staff are helpful and very nice, Strongly recomend.

Friendly service,and even though Dora andPaulo run 2 businesses they still throw everything they've got into the barside eve though serving till the late hrs next mornings at weekends. Even though I don't eat Portuguese food they make English breakfast and also will make anything you ask for if at all possible . And always go out of their way to help.

Los vinos portugueses, cervezas y licores (agua de fuego), las tapas, los postres y por supuesto el famoso café espresso, hacen de esta casa una muy buena representación de la portuguesa aromas y sabores. Nuestra bienvenida no podría haber sido más amable y la señora nos cuidó muy bien, pero lo que el chef hizo a la lubina que pedí, no sé. Era incomible. Mi marido disfrutó mucho del plato de carne sin embargo pidió. Lo siento, pero no puedo recomendarlo.

My mum is originally from Vila Franca De Xira and was up from London visiting me (cleaning) for the weekend, She had the Bacalhau A Lagareiro and I had the Bitoque De Vaca, Portion size 10/10, quality 10/10, she'll definitely be having another plato de bacalhau next time she's up, great food, excellent service, highly recommended.

Small Portuguese restaurant in the heart of Peterborough. If you want some traditional Portuguese food why not try this place. Good variety of fish and meat dishes and desserts. Don't be deceived about the surrounding area, the food is very good indeed.

Mi marido y yo a menudo pop O Sado a bar los sábados por la mañana para un café con leche para conseguir el fin comenzó en una suave. Es un pequeño café portugués en el centro de Lincoln Road de Peterborough justo al lado de la estación de autobuses. lleva el nombre de un río en la ciudad portuguesa de casa del propietario creemos.El ambiente es muy relajado, todo el personal es cálido y amable. Dora, la acogedora propietario, siempre dispuesto para nosotros británico para probar la auténtica cocina portuguesa en las noches. Hemos tenido muchas comidas allí por la noche, las gambas a la parrilla y platos de carne de king kebabs son divinos y sin duda vale la pena probarlo! Después de la comida de la noche también debe probar el vino fortificado después de la cena, solo pregunte Dora, ya que hemos olvidado el nombre, pero parece muy popular.La comida y la bebida son muy buena relación calidad-precio. A veces comer el desayuno allí también, que en su mayoría tortillas de orden y aunque el pan ciabatta tostado portugués regular es nuestro favorito. Desayuno inglés es también disponible, aunque las setas son lata así que no es mi favorito. También puedes conseguir algunos raros aperitivos ligeros en el bar durante el día tanto dulces y saladas. Pruebe el 'Spit Como poster tomará de camellos" o, si lo tienen, la deliciosa torta checkr de pensión!Durante el día puede a veces muy concurrido con los clientes son en su mayoría portuguesa molienda y visitar los cafés de los demás, especialmente cuando hay un partido de fútbol en la televisión portuguesa.Es bastante pequeño dentro, y está decorado en estilo básico de café con un par de máquinas de frutas en el frente. Se puede ver a través de la zona de la cocina en la parte de atrás donde el chef cocina constantemente. El área del restaurante es también en la parte trasera. Las televisiones jugar canales de música la mayoría del tiempo en el fondo. Puede sentarse en el bar frente- los habitantes tienden a comenzar el vino bastante temprano! También hay tres mesas afuera de la puerta.A veces se simplemente sentarse y pedir un frío Sagres lager para pasar las tardes fin. Nos gusta O Sado porque es como una mini vacaciones lejos de la norma británica si te puedes olvidar de que estás en el centro de Peterborough. La gente puede ser una experiencia interesante. En el verano, usted puede simplemente relajarse, escuchar la conversación portuguesa en la cafetería y me imagino que estás en tertulias durante los climas más frescos.Pruébalo, sentarse y observar el mundo pasar en el bar O Sado.

Now don't get me wrong it was a very nice meal and I would defiantly buy from here again but I had a few gripes with my order. The steak was just a thin batted out bit of meat (to make it look bigger I assume) and when you are forced to pay 15 quid minimum delivery you expect a bit more for your money, I was expecting a nice juicy steak to get my teeth into but sadly this wasn't the case. Unfortunately the bread was chewy and hard to swallow but was homemade so in a way I cant fault them there for effort at least but unfortunately the butter was just a small Lurpack sachet which had completely melted by the time it got to me whilst I was expecting a small portion of homemade butter in a separate bag to prevent melting. The pork patties had an unusual flavor which was too acquired a taste even for my well traveled taste buds. On a positive note the rice, chips, croquettes and salad (which had a a lovely dressing) were delectable and the fishcakes were well made with not a bone in sight which showed good attention to detail and they even turned my egg into on omelette at request and delivered promptly and with a smile so the service was good and again the food wasn't overly disappointing by a long shot but I think if your going to be a Portuguese steak business the steaks need to be a lot better and if not I think the £15 minimum charge order should be lowered so you ain't having to spend too heavily on something that you might not be fully content with.

This little place has a wonderful menu of home cooked Portuguese food that you must try. Hemos estado en muchos restaurantes buenos, fue genial, gran ambiente, personal y comida. Comimos lo que la camarera recomendado y no nos decepcionó. Cod horneados en crema y sean asados calamares y langostinos, ensalada y patatas, todos eran perfectamente preparada y sabor increíble. Casa roja y café eran guinda del pastel. Con entrantes, mejor 35 libras que hemos pasado en una cena.

Este restaurante es muy pequeña, pero es sin duda una joya masiva de la corona para comida portuguesa y restaurantes. Una advertencia para gente que vaya por su cuenta... las raciones son 1.10!Es un lugar familiar pero espero algunas recetas familiares se utilizan porque la infusión de hermosos sabores y especias son carismáticos!Creo que el chef es un genio con comida! El servicio es muy bueno y auténtico, el dueño era muy hospitalario y servicial, nada era demasiado grande o demasiado pequeña para ella.Creo que la gente espera buena comida que vienen de grandes cafés o restaurantes Michelin. He estado en algunos de los restaurantes populares y altamente clasificado aclamado por los críticos de la comida. Pero esto lo mejor del montón!Verdaderamente fue por un hijo de 11 años de edad.

I ended up with a bifa casa i think but was too hungry to send it back. I ordered the steak in cream which maybe i would have preffered. But it was ok. The generous portions of salmon and steak made up for the wait and the wrong order.

Situado entre otros pequeños restaurantes y comida para llevar por Lincoln Road.Increíble ambiente, como estar en una taberna portuguesa. Era acogedor y como para comer con la familia. Un buen servicio amable, todo fue explicado a usted y nada era demasiado problema, si nos trae las muestras de prueba, también para el paladar en inglés. Mi marido portugués me encantó, y estaba lleno de alegría con estofado de callos. Había mucha variedad en el menú también si quieres probar algo diferente. Los postres eran tradicional portuguesa y éstas eran deliciosos, tuvimos un pastel de galleta. El servicio fue excelente y la comida fue una gran relación calidad-precio. Real "home made" portuguese food. The Service is very good and the food is even better. Must try "bolo de bolacha" or "pudim de ovos" for dessert.

Been here a few times and whilst it is geared for Portuguese community the owners are extremely hospitable. Food was lovely and the lady owner went out of her way to see if we enjoyed her cooking. We certainly did. On our second visit the husband and wife insisted on us having a glass of port on the house at the end of our meal. Feels like Portugal in Peterborough. Extremely Un good food and great hospitality.
