Nando's in Peterborough

birthday meal just want to say thanks to the staff as always very good service

Food was excellent, and came very quickly. Toilets were in a poor state as per the 4 stars.

I mean...Nando's is Nando's, you always know what to expect. But this particular branch needs some serious renovation. The booth seating is such a state - ripped leather and fabric upholstery, drawings on the walls. Every time we are seated in the booths I have to wipe the seats myself as it's always filthy - greasy stains and food crumbs that will definitely stain your clothing. If the areas visible to customers are presented in such a state, I wonder what's going on in the kitchen...

Always enjoy Nando's. quite expensive nowadays but that is how it is. The restaurant is a little dirty but the food is decent.

The food was the usual great quality you’d expect from Nando’s. The location is perfect, right in the cathedral square. We arrived (party of 2) at 8pm on a Friday night without a booking but, despite being very busy, they found a table for us. Service was great as were the staff.

Great food , staff were really friendly and didn’t have to wait too long either which is a bonus . Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a quick meal .

Standard Nando's. Pleasant atmosphere in the centre of Peterborough town. Friendly staff, quick service and food perfectly cooked.

Felt rushed and unwelcome. Was advised upon walking in that they were closing in 40 minutes, and they were taking last orders. ordered within a few minutes. Then a group of people came in 20 minutes later and were seated and were still there when I left. Very poor experience, I usually have a fantastic experience at Nandos. Very disappointing

The food was lovely. However, I do feel it's overpriced for chicken. I am disappointed 😞 You get placed at a table, after waiting for 30 mins for a table. Even though upstairs was empty 🙄you have to go and get your own drinks, cutlery, and sauces. You even have to go up and order your food. The tables are way too close to each other, I felt like I was sitting with the other family. No privacy

Love coming here food is always great the staff are really nice and helpful and make you feel welcome definitely recommend this nandos absolutely love as does my wife whenever in Peterborough we always eat there love it

We turned up at 21:40, asked if still serving young lad begrudgingly said yes. Kitchen staff all glaring at us as 7 of us, before we said anything reeled off everything they couldn’t do, still being glared at. Food came out, cold. To be fair on the server he was good. Sat there eating then at 21:55 on comes the air conditioning maximum cold - nice trick to get us to leave. Would rather raid the bins outside than going there again. Disgrace to Nando’s!!

Decent enough. Regular Nandos. No better, no worse

Went in for lunch with my family and was shown a list with 8 different items they wasn’t serving, one being loaded fries so ordered loaded fries without the chicken as that was why they apparently wasn’t serving it, they table wasn’t the cleanest and the service was poor, I even heard the waiter say ‘why have they got loaded fries when we are not serving them’ Seems mad to me why when they serve just chicken meals they can make these dishes still Not a good experience

The worse Nandos restaurant I've visited in many years, Services is so poor. Waited nearly over 45mins to be served and others served before me. Until the staff and service improve it will be bottom of list.

Lovely lunch time visit with the Mrs. Very clean. Quick service and the food was nice. Quite pricey but we did enjoy it. Would go again.

This place is very busy we had to wait 30min but it was worth the wait. The food was good and good service from the staff

Waited in queue about ten minutes to then be told it was 45 minutes, we had a bit of banter and managed a 30 minute come back and table was ready. Also told shirt if staff. When we returned we were then told no chicken thighs on menu which affected a lot of choice. Hubby ordered half chicken fries and Mac cheese - all good came quickly. I ordered a wrap corn on cob and rainbow slaw again all good. Corn on cob and Mac cheese were very good. Had two cokes bill £35. Tbf food was good, management and staff need to be aware of people waiting and give all info on first encounter. Lastly this place does need a good clean!!

Me and my partner has ordered meal from Nandos. First of all, ordr wasn't properly complete, part of the meal was missing. Beside i can summarise it in 3 points. 1. Is expensive. 2. Consider how expensive it is, meals are small. 3. Food is not tasty at all. That was first and last time when we took some food from Nandos.

Came here to have dinner and me and a friend paid separately to which the food came out separately, they mixed my order up and didn’t bring the correct thing. I had to ask them to clear the table after we had finished eating and we were just surrounded by rubbish, all while 3 staff members were just sat behind the counter not doing anything… I’ve had good experiences here but based on this alone I wouldn’t return

Looked forward to our visit as first time there for both of us. We had a show to go to but scheduled for an hour & half to eat, it wasn’t long enough 🥴 Problem wasn’t the wait for the table or so much the time it took to cook the food it was having to return the new one on the menu The Fully Loaded Chips. They arrived first but were cold so we had to send them back & then for some reason one of our two sides, the sweetcorn, took an age to cook. Having to rush the food down which spoilt the whole idea of eating in a restaurant rather than street food we made the wrong choice. I’ve now collected a chilli as a reward but I don’t imagine I’ll ever be cashing it in ☹️

Good food as expected from Nandos. We had lunch on a Thursday afternoon and the place was packed. Friendly staff and good atmosphere. Chicken cooked perfectly.

The Nandos in Peterborough is a lovely restaurant that serves great chicken and I've always gone for the lemon and herb or plainish spices however recently I've tried their medium sauce and it hit the flavour right. I had a look at some of the reviews on here and heard people complaining it's bland. Sorry, that's on you because you decide how 'bland' you want it! It's in an ideal location easy to get to from the shopping centre and I love that I can collect my points so I can have a free dinner. It's a great place to go on a date and the quality of chicken is astounding. I would recommend coming here. You can order through the staff or do it yourself through the QR code or app. It's very straightforward but I do wish there was a feature where you can see how long the food will take but that's just me being picky.

Family place, friendly staff and good food.

Manager is rude & homophobic. I was asked by the polite waiter to order at the till since my friend has a nut allergy. I went to the till and was served by the manager, he was extremely rude from the moment I informed him of the allergy. (We don’t use nuts on our menu) it’s listed clearly on their menu. As we left he said goodbye followed by making a remark about my friend and his nut allergy which I couldn’t hear completely. This is disgusting behaviour from Nando’s.

Went to Peterborough Nandos yesterday, everything was exceptional, service from Mel, food was juicy and loved it even more when Mel was chatting to me about Spurs COYS

Nandos great as usual. Quick friendly service and good food, never disappoints. Don’t even mind the increased prices…

Nice food ..eventually. Chips came out lukewarm at best ….took back to counter and asked them to change them . Waiter put his hands on them to presumably check (or didn’t he believe me lol) ….then said ok we can send fresh ones . 10 mins later a waitress passed and asked if everything was ok ….errr no we’d sent the chips back but not got any more …1 min later she brings over hot chips . Chicken was nice and mash and sweetcorn fine . All staff were polite . £35 for two including 2 beers .

Me and my partner shared a boneless platter it was only the 2 of us and my partner has never been to Nando’s before. He got to experiment with different flavours of the sauces with the chicken. The chicken was juicy and nicely cooked. We had 4 different sides to have. Whiles my partner experimented. We got a seat right at the front near the window which was nice. Service wasn’t much. As you can use your phone to Order, so don’t have much to do with the service. It was busy and the atmosphere at the time was good.

Worse Nando’s ever. Staff sending client away to wait out in the rain, when there are clearly tables available. Can not book before going and once at the door we sent out in the pouring rain. All this when there are plenty of tables for 2 people, exactly what we needed. Shameful reception and service

Delicious food and amazing service, would definitely return!

First and last time I'll visit nandos peterborough I've never been in a food restaurant so unclean the light fittings. The pictures and the floor had more food on it then the plate on the table.and the food was warm what a waist of £45 I've spent won't be coming back..... maybe the company need to invest in cleaners or cleaning products.

We asked of we could sit at the front , the guy wasn't happy as he was taking us to the back. No idea why we were being taken to the back when the front had lots of space. Anyway ,then, there was a guy eating his packed lunch next to us, thought that was odd . Staff seen him and overlooked it. Finally my husband and I have been unwell since we came home. It's the only think we have both eaten the same. Very disappointing. It's usually a lovely place to go. This time it wasn't!

A nice atmosphere, friendly staff.

Ordered a pretty ridiculously expensive meal from the place, pita chicken (garlic bbq) and peri-chips. The price is ridiculous and the food was bland, like the chicken wasn't seasoned at all and the saucing didn't exist apart from a little pool at one corner of the pita, biting into the pita with the chicken was a sad experience, even more so when its priced as it is. The peri-chips were nice but the price for the amount you get, a little box for £4.50, I could make my own for 1/3 the price of that and just be as good. I wanted it to be good, but It just left me with a bad taste in my mouth.

Fast service, friendly staff, clean & tidy

We came for dinner @7:30 was ask to wait in queue for 30min as the person who attended was already not happy to serve anyone customer. He mentioned we close @9 are you sure u wanna wait i said yes. When we went back after 30 minutes he denied saying people are coming back bla bla. He just wanted to refuse us. What a awful management. Will never return this place again

So, this was my first trip to a Nando's. Felt the online ordering from the table was a bit strange, but the overall service and atmosphere was good. Food was lovely and not over priced. I'm sure I'll be visiting a Nando's again in the future.

I waited half an hour for what turned outa burned take away. My firs and last visit to this place.

Peterborough is the second worse place to live in the UK, and it has Nandos on the same level... There is always something wrong with the food and usually its just flavourless and dry, which is opposite of what nandos should have been....

Waited 45minutes and we could see our food on the pass and not even under the light. Food was cold and very disappointing. We left and went to another restaurant and this meant we wasted our money as noone checked our table and we attempted to inform someone before giving up and going elsewhere

Took my daughter out for her 12th birthday and informed the server about her food allergies. My child had an allergic reaction within minutes of eating and we had to leave without finishing our food and we also did not pack the uneaten food since we needed to go to the hospital. Nandos offered us cake which my child would not be able to eat anyway as she is allergic to wheat which l declined . The manager took my name and number and noone has even contacted to see how we got on. Nothing was even said to show compassion. Not even, l hope your child will be okay. Very disappointed as we have always thought this was a safe place to eat.

It’s Nando’s, decent enough food however This restaurant seems to lack any atmosphere

This Nandos is a bit of a miss....looks dated, chairs/tables etc could do with a re-fresh. Find it's always a little dirty? Food is the usual Nandos level of things. Handy as it's a good location in town but prefer the Huntingdon branch as it's nicer.

Good delivery. Food was really hot when it arrived..it tastes good. But overall nando's quality may have fallen and price increaeed but this could well be temporary effects of frequent and long lockdowns. The best part is fino pitta is back...

Love a nando's, rare date with the husband and we had a meal voucher for Christmas. All staff super friendly. Food was amazing as always. Medium butterfly chicken, peri salted chips and garlic bread 🤤 halloumi sticks for starters.

Manager couldn't figure out how to use a one4all voucher and was unfriendly so went to 5 guys used voucher there and had a great meal instead

On arrival we were told there would be a 20-25 minute wait, they took our details and were sent away to wait and was told we would be messaged when our table was ready. Looking into the restaurant we could see 5 empty tables, 3 of which had not been cleared away yet. In the end we waited 33 minutes for a message to say our table was ready. When we finally got sat at the table we ended up waiting for almost 45 minutes for food. The food was average for a Nando’s meal. Aswell as being brought the wrong side dish to my order (chips not peri chips. Not a massive issue as they then brought me peri salt). On arrival I also visited the toilet to find two of the stalls had issues with their toilet paper holder.

Right now sitting here it's been an hour almost they didn't even served us telling us we are next worst experience here! Wont come here again...!

Wait 30 mins to get a seat and after ordering waited 1 hour for the food. People who arrived after us were served before us. Could it be because I was not caucasian? Manager should be ashamed as he walked by and saw how long we were waiting. I then even asked when the food would come and then they forgot to add chips

Was perfect, staff polite and courteous especially Daires who was funny and very helpful, probably the best manager I have met, we will deffo go back to this Nandos...

What a dump! I understand Nandos is somewhere fashionable to go at the moment but save your money amd go elsewhere. On visiting on Monday afternoon, we were shown a table, ordered our food by the app, collected our own cutlery, sauces, drinks etc....... waititng staff literally just wipe tables and serve food so perfect for those who don't have any customer service skills. Food was brought out and for some reason given to us not placed on the table, this meant a scorching hot plate was handed to my sister and burnt her finger tips! A dismissed apology was given so we grabbed ice from the ice machine and asked for the accident book.......told by "duty manager" that he would log it which we didn't really believe as he talked like a second hand car sales dealer......all very odd and unprofessional no compassion for the damage caused to finger tips. I think when we saw a member of the kitchen team fall on the dirty floor in the resturant we realised looking closer this resturant is vile, dirty amd completely incompetent.

Dirty glasses and hair in my food, although they did provide replacement without complaint. Forgot parts of the order and had to be reminded, unorganised.

As the title states! You want to be abused by staff and have them lie? I want them to lie about you and call you aggressive and have your children visibly upset? Welp this is the best place for that! Ask for Lisa she’ll be sure to continue to attack you then play the poor white girl victim game!

Rubbish service, table of 4 one person ordered first but got food after all ares were eaten and had to eat while we were waiting, no urgency in sorting out.

This nandos use to be brilliant and Was for years proper nandos sauce But now I wonder if new management or something has taken over the sauce isn't the same it's more close to a red colour Instead of the iconic orange the prices have increased and the rice doesn't taste like it use to tastes like microwave rice Sad to see use to be brilliant

Ordered food to be delivered as I was working through lunch, ordered a chicken wrap with 1 side at the cost of £13.80. It arrived later than time suggested and it was Luke warm, food was extremely bland and I ended up putting in the bin, a very expensive lunch, never again, times are very hard for most and I feel totally ripped off

They giving you a table, but in 15-20min no one came to take a order.

Do not go to this Nando’s worst Nando’s experience ever this place needs better trained staff and needs better management. Staff are rude and have Attitude not smiley or friendly they look miserable and they slam plates etc on your table.paid for another drink through the app they said they didn’t receive it there end and when I showed them them the receipt they showed no sympathy what’s so ever overall this restaurant needs more friendly staff and better customer service.

Well… first time we’ve been here since covid. Used to come regularly and always had a good meal but tonight the standard fell really short. Firstly, the guy who sat us down looked like he couldn’t be bothered, no smile, no greeting, didn’t even wait...

What a joke. Two so called "chicken burger" some cheap roll, untoasted, obviously frozen, unseasoned -cooked?- chicken, half an inch slice of tomato, some rotten salad leaf, fries and a drink for two £25. Staff and the ice machine was good. Proper embarrassment. Wonder how this place is not completely empty. Yuck. Never again

Absolutely superb service from start to finish.. All of our food arrived quickly, well cooked and tasted amazing!! Couldnt praise nandos Peterborough enough... Other eateries could learn a lot from these guys! Keep up the good work.. Ian and kayleigh

The portions were too small for the amount each items costs,it was incredibly cold barring in mind we sat inside. The kitchen were blasting music and dancing which was visible to all the customers. Wasn’t expecting that I need to get my own forks,knives and tissues. Would not go again, DO NOT RECOMMEND!

The foods good sometimes, but other times it’s not. I tend to order the same thing, so it gives anxiety not knowing if it’s going to be good or not. Crazy for a company like Nando’s. Get your act together and deliver consistently good food every time please? Thanks

We love this restaurant and have been many many times over the last few years. Food and service is always great. The last two times however ……. We have been sat the back of the restaurant and it’s literally like a staff room completely full of Nando’s staff. Meetings, chatting, hugging. All in the actual restraunt area. Deliver drivers constantly in and out. Tonight staff even went out the back and was smoking with the rear door and rear door to restaurant open !! I had to tell them to shut it as my two kids were asking what the awful smell of smoke was ! What annoys me most is the upstairs area never seems to be used so could be a staff area if that’s whats required. I know Nando’s would not want this, therefore I had to leave a review. I’m more than happy to discuss this with the manager if they wanted to.

Worst Nando's experience in Peterborough. I live in Leicester and never had to wait more than 1 hour to get a table in Leicester. Very poor management and service in Peterborough. Told us '' Due to staff issues we can't get a table and waiting for the food will be more than usual time''. I work in hospitality industry and never heard such a excuses in restaurants. ''Never again Peterborough Nando's'' You have ruined our Saturday night out!!!

Why don't you take booking for large groups if you can't be bother to offer a table? Very bad management and service. No customer service! where would you go for 1hr 40 min unplanned in Peterborough because Nando's is short of staff and can not...

Very disappointed with management. Called in the afternoon to book a table for 8 as it was big group. But been told no booking needed, just turn up. When arrived there was no tables and waiting was over 1hr 30 min. We had small children with us so requested to wait upstairs but manager didn't allow us to wait inside. We travelled 20 miles for our meal at Nando's and they let us down 2nd time. Despite calling in advance and requesting table wasn't available. Shame on management!
