Nando's in Peterborough

It saddens me to write this review on a recent visit I collected my food and went home unfortunately, after eating the food I had food poisoning this has been confirmed I've sent them an email but I haven't had a response from them as yet. If they don't contact me soon, I will be going to the local authorities to report this and I'm sure they'll be getting a visit. You would think they would want to make contact with me to discuss what happened and what way forward they're going to go. It's a shame as I've never had an issue before

Always really quick service here and the food is good (weekday evening visits). Staff are always all friendly, helpful and welcoming.

Came in for a family late lunch. Restaurant is dirty and grubby to start with. Food then took nearly 40 minutes to come out with no apology or reason. The food was warmish to touch. Chips were dry and tasted like cardboard. Coleslaw was like the cheapest tasting value basic one. Avoid. Had better at KFC for half the cost

Nos gusta Nando’s y hemos dado previamente reseñas de 5 estrellas, así que somos fans. Hoy. Bueno, hoy fue una decepción. La sucursal de Peterborough se avergüenza. Sentado bien. Ordenado de costumbre. La comida llegó muy rápido, tal vez demasiado rápido... Ok, en primer lugar, la comida de mi esposa era buena y se veía bien, papas doradas habituales, envoltura bastante completa y gran pan de ajo. El mío, bueno, estaba muy por debajo de la par. 1/2 pollo (hierba de limón), papas fritas y col. Así que las papas fritas eran amarillas claras, no crujientes y un poco empapadas, tampoco tantas. Era un domingo ocupado hora de almuerzo, PERO por favor no saque papas fritas temprano sin cocinero completo. SUS CLIENTES REGRESAN PORQUE LES GUSTA LA COMIDA COMO DEBE SER. No solo las papas fritas, pero el mayor decepcionante fue el pollo. De hecho me paré y vi a ese tipo cocinando el pollo hoy. La mía estaba carbonizada en la piel, lo que tuvo un resultado bastante amargo. Así que este ‘cocinero’ colocó la piel de pollo boca abajo en la plancha, el humo se desprendió a un ritmo alto (se veía demasiado caliente hoy en día), pero sin frotar. Después de quemar bien un lado, fue un giro rápido y esperar más humo. La parte de basting solo vino al final con un toque rápido y en el plato. Hola... No había visto a este tipo antes, pero antes de que deje a los clientes que regresan necesita reciclaje completo, o mejor dicho entrenamiento. Así no es como conseguir el pollo de Nando como a los clientes les gusta. Baste, cocine y siga revolviendo, no quemando. ¡Directores, gestionen por favor! Acelere cuando los alimentos estén bien cocidos y de acuerdo con la norma. La prisa rápida no ayuda a la causa. Gracias! No volverá si este tipo sigue en la parrilla Un cliente leal. Por favor, preste atención.

A big shout out to Priscilla who was super proactive! When bringing food to our table, she realised immediately we were one meal short and there must be an issue - for some reason something had gone wrong with our order via the app - she immediately prioritised getting another meal made. Thank you Priscilla - we really appreciated your attention to customer service!

waiting service took forever, 20 minutes to be precise. did not bring our glasses to us like last time. very poor behaviour. food was very good but service and time taking could be improved on.

¡Vamos Nando's! Uno espera un cierto estándar de Nando’s, pero simplemente no dio la vibra. La comida estaba bien - pollo bueno estándar de Nando. El servicio fue terrible! Un restaurante casi vacío y estábamos sentados donde todos hacen cola para pedir comida. Lo que significaba que estábamos justo al lado del mostrador, donde varios miembros del personal discutían y vacilaban sobre qué mesa pedía qué comida. El personal vagando con placas sin saber para quién son, ¡fue un caos! A algunos niños se les dio color, a nuestro hijo no se le ofreció. La máquina de helados no funcionaba porque nadie la había llenado. Sólo shambolic sin una buena razón.

Wonderfull atmosphere and vibe, great area and amazing workers and waiters. Succulent chicken and lovely service. Amazing side dishes such as macncheese (eat whilst hot). The fact you pay upfront so when ur finished you can walk off is AMAZING. More restaurants need this.

My wife and I always use Nandos if we're shopping in Peterborough. Great food, pleasant staff, and reasonable price. My only criticism is that I can't get a coffee, but that's probably just me. Well done guys. See you again soon.

I find Peterborough Nandos so frustrating, always a long wait! Waited over 30 minutes for our food. Advised that there was a 20 minute wait for tables but upstairs were empty plus all the tables at the back

Had to wait for hours to collect deliveries. Unsuitable, un hygienic dirty place where they keep bins (to collect the delivery orders). Manager and staff doesn't care about drivers. Whenever asked why its been late they making excuses that we are short of staff, our ring bell is broken etc etc. Rude staff. Never recommend this place!

We often visited Nando's and we felt the chicken in Peterborough was slightly undergrilled comparing to other branches. Otherwise, still a fair good restaurant to visit.

Title: Disappointed with Slow Service at Nando's I recently visited Nando's and left feeling quite frustrated. I placed my order at 20:15, and despite the restaurant not being full or busy, I didn't receive my food until 20:55. That's a 40-minute wait for what should have been a quick meal! The staff's excuse for the delay was that I ordered a starter, which seemed like a flimsy justification. If anything, a starter should have been prepared quickly and served in a timely manner. By the time my food arrived, I was ready to leave the restaurant altogether. In hindsight, I should have just ordered online. This experience has made me rethink whether I'll return to Nando's anytime soon. I expect better service, especially when the place isn’t crowded. Disappointing!

Nandos Peterborough all staff is very lazy when driver goes there they said wait for 3 mnts and take half n hour it’s happened to me 4 times all idiots

I mean...Nando's is Nando's, you always know what to expect. But this particular branch needs some serious renovation. The booth seating is such a state - ripped leather and fabric upholstery, drawings on the walls. Every time we are seated in the booths I have to wipe the seats myself as it's always filthy - greasy stains and food crumbs that will definitely stain your clothing. If the areas visible to customers are presented in such a state, I wonder what's going on in the kitchen... The toilets are unkept and smelly. There are broken handles, never any toilet paper available - just generally dirty and unpleasant. Update: visited our local branch recently and was happy to see that they updated the booths - looks so much better. There's soft ice cream on tap - our little one was very happy! Unfortunately the seats are still greasy and there are crumbs on them. The toilets are still run down and dirty.

Great food despite the waiter sliding the coleslaw across the table from the serving tray and straight into my shopping bag & handbag. An apology would have been good, but he did bring a dustpan & brush for the floor whilst I emptied and cleaned up my shopping. No one came over to ask if we were enjoying our meal, which was so obvious as they asked the tables around us. We were polite, didn't cause a scene so slightly annoyed. I'm keen to nip these things in the bud but all the waiters looked like college guys and no sight of a more senior person so ate our food and left. These things happen, and from a customer service point of view, all that was needed was an apology. Just saying to hopefully help Nandos address these type of instances to keep all customers happy.

Ordered 2 chocolate cakes and ice cream waited 40 mins because the guy behind the counter was too busy chatting away instead of processing the order. Service is awful.

Bro.. I wish Nandos had a bit more of a human touch.. Order by phone feels very depersonalized. Its not as if there arent enough people to take an order. Spent close to 15mins filling out card details. Would have finished ordering in 1 minute if an actual waiter was present.

About 4 days ago we had 2 large chicken and 2 fries takeaway. It was for my family but after we finished the food everybody from the family suffered from diarrhoea and stomach ache. Chicken was not juicy enough and I doubt the food was not fresh. Till now the family is suffering from Diarrhoea. The food that we experienced was terrible .

Very average but expensive chicken.. Nothing special about the sauces. And the chicken is oven pre made..then thrown on the grill for 1 minute on high temperature to leave grill marks..the rice you can taste the plastic recipients where they came in before heated in the microwave. Only good thing about it is the people working there.

Just ordered a full platter from nandos peterborough. Only received plain chicken and no sauces whatsoever. I had ordered Medium but received plain white chicken!

Great service, me and my family were served by a man called edson who was super friendly and helped recommend food for my picky 10 year old.

Very quick service and tasty food. Would have been 5 stars if the order had been correct. 🤣 But this was rectified swiftly.

Not very clean. Every surface was sticky including the plates and cutlery. I mean the foods still good cause Nandos 😅 but it put me off a bit.

Place is a dive. Food was cold, half the stuff missing. What a sorry state of affairs.

I personally think anyone who wants to visit Nando's should try everything only if you can manage the price. When I visited, I tried different dishes. The food is lovely. I just can't wait to visit again.

Always enjoy Nando's. quite expensive nowadays but that is how it is. The restaurant is a little dirty but the food is decent.

The food was the usual great quality you’d expect from Nando’s. The location is perfect, right in the cathedral square. We arrived (party of 2) at 8pm on a Friday night without a booking but, despite being very busy, they found a table for us. Service was great as were the staff.

Felt rushed and unwelcome. Was advised upon walking in that they were closing in 40 minutes, and they were taking last orders. ordered within a few minutes. Then a group of people came in 20 minutes later and were seated and were still there when I left. Very poor experience, I usually have a fantastic experience at Nandos. Very disappointing

The food was lovely. However, I do feel it's overpriced for chicken. I am disappointed 😞 You get placed at a table, after waiting for 30 mins for a table. Even though upstairs was empty 🙄you have to go and get your own drinks, cutlery, and sauces. You even have to go up and order your food. The tables are way too close to each other, I felt like I was sitting with the other family. No privacy

The worse Nandos restaurant I've visited in many years, Services is so poor. Waited nearly over 45mins to be served and others served before me. Until the staff and service improve it will be bottom of list.

This place is very busy we had to wait 30min but it was worth the wait. The food was good and good service from the staff

Me and my partner has ordered meal from Nandos. First of all, ordr wasn't properly complete, part of the meal was missing. Beside i can summarise it in 3 points. 1. Is expensive. 2. Consider how expensive it is, meals are small. 3. Food is not tasty at all. That was first and last time when we took some food from Nandos.

Came here to have dinner and me and a friend paid separately to which the food came out separately, they mixed my order up and didn’t bring the correct thing. I had to ask them to clear the table after we had finished eating and we were just surrounded by rubbish, all while 3 staff members were just sat behind the counter not doing anything… I’ve had good experiences here but based on this alone I wouldn’t return

Good food as expected from Nandos. We had lunch on a Thursday afternoon and the place was packed. Friendly staff and good atmosphere. Chicken cooked perfectly.

The Nandos in Peterborough is a lovely restaurant that serves great chicken and I've always gone for the lemon and herb or plainish spices however recently I've tried their medium sauce and it hit the flavour right. I had a look at some of the reviews on here and heard people complaining it's bland. Sorry, that's on you because you decide how 'bland' you want it! It's in an ideal location easy to get to from the shopping centre and I love that I can collect my points so I can have a free dinner. It's a great place to go on a date and the quality of chicken is astounding. I would recommend coming here. You can order through the staff or do it yourself through the QR code or app. It's very straightforward but I do wish there was a feature where you can see how long the food will take but that's just me being picky.

Went to Peterborough Nandos yesterday, everything was exceptional, service from Mel, food was juicy and loved it even more when Mel was chatting to me about Spurs COYS

Me and my partner shared a boneless platter it was only the 2 of us and my partner has never been to Nando’s before. He got to experiment with different flavours of the sauces with the chicken. The chicken was juicy and nicely cooked. We had 4 different sides to have. Whiles my partner experimented. We got a seat right at the front near the window which was nice. Service wasn’t much. As you can use your phone to Order, so don’t have much to do with the service. It was busy and the atmosphere at the time was good.

First and last time I'll visit nandos peterborough I've never been in a food restaurant so unclean the light fittings. The pictures and the floor had more food on it then the plate on the table.and the food was warm what a waist of £45 I've spent won't be coming back..... maybe the company need to invest in cleaners or cleaning products.

We asked of we could sit at the front , the guy wasn't happy as he was taking us to the back. No idea why we were being taken to the back when the front had lots of space. Anyway ,then, there was a guy eating his packed lunch next to us, thought that was odd . Staff seen him and overlooked it. Finally my husband and I have been unwell since we came home. It's the only think we have both eaten the same. Very disappointing. It's usually a lovely place to go. This time it wasn't!

A nice atmosphere, friendly staff.

Ordered a pretty ridiculously expensive meal from the place, pita chicken (garlic bbq) and peri-chips. The price is ridiculous and the food was bland, like the chicken wasn't seasoned at all and the saucing didn't exist apart from a little pool at one corner of the pita, biting into the pita with the chicken was a sad experience, even more so when its priced as it is. The peri-chips were nice but the price for the amount you get, a little box for £4.50, I could make my own for 1/3 the price of that and just be as good. I wanted it to be good, but It just left me with a bad taste in my mouth.

So, this was my first trip to a Nando's. Felt the online ordering from the table was a bit strange, but the overall service and atmosphere was good. Food was lovely and not over priced. I'm sure I'll be visiting a Nando's again in the future.

I waited half an hour for what turned outa burned take away. My firs and last visit to this place.

Peterborough is the second worse place to live in the UK, and it has Nandos on the same level... There is always something wrong with the food and usually its just flavourless and dry, which is opposite of what nandos should have been....

Took my daughter out for her 12th birthday and informed the server about her food allergies. My child had an allergic reaction within minutes of eating and we had to leave without finishing our food and we also did not pack the uneaten food since we needed to go to the hospital. Nandos offered us cake which my child would not be able to eat anyway as she is allergic to wheat which l declined . The manager took my name and number and noone has even contacted to see how we got on. Nothing was even said to show compassion. Not even, l hope your child will be okay. Very disappointed as we have always thought this was a safe place to eat.

This Nandos is a bit of a miss....looks dated, chairs/tables etc could do with a re-fresh. Find it's always a little dirty? Food is the usual Nandos level of things. Handy as it's a good location in town but prefer the Huntingdon branch as it's nicer.

Good delivery. Food was really hot when it arrived..it tastes good. But overall nando's quality may have fallen and price increaeed but this could well be temporary effects of frequent and long lockdowns. The best part is fino pitta is back...

Love a nando's, rare date with the husband and we had a meal voucher for Christmas. All staff super friendly. Food was amazing as always. Medium butterfly chicken, peri salted chips and garlic bread 🤤 halloumi sticks for starters.

Manager couldn't figure out how to use a one4all voucher and was unfriendly so went to 5 guys used voucher there and had a great meal instead

On arrival we were told there would be a 20-25 minute wait, they took our details and were sent away to wait and was told we would be messaged when our table was ready. Looking into the restaurant we could see 5 empty tables, 3 of which had not been cleared away yet. In the end we waited 33 minutes for a message to say our table was ready. When we finally got sat at the table we ended up waiting for almost 45 minutes for food. The food was average for a Nando’s meal. Aswell as being brought the wrong side dish to my order (chips not peri chips. Not a massive issue as they then brought me peri salt). On arrival I also visited the toilet to find two of the stalls had issues with their toilet paper holder.

Wait 30 mins to get a seat and after ordering waited 1 hour for the food. People who arrived after us were served before us. Could it be because I was not caucasian? Manager should be ashamed as he walked by and saw how long we were waiting. I then even asked when the food would come and then they forgot to add chips

Right now sitting here it's been an hour almost they didn't even served us telling us we are next worst experience here! Wont come here again...!

Was perfect, staff polite and courteous especially Daires who was funny and very helpful, probably the best manager I have met, we will deffo go back to this Nandos...
