16/3/24 - Saturday late snack We two middle aged pescatarian/vegetarian guys from London were being treated to a late night snack by our American and Brazilian friends. We were happy with cheap and cheerful after having been to an evening concert together in St James' Church. They were not sure if it was still open at 21:20 but we made our way there anyway to find out. It was open but empty; strange on a Saturday night. Next door Heaven staff were preparing the security for GAY which was quite noisy so may have put people off. There was only one man behind the bar who was happy to take our orders, for large wraps, a mixed plate, a sweet cake and three drinks. We took a table outside (there are no seats inside) although it was a bit chilly. There are no heaters (which I do not agree with anyway and they are justifiably banned in Paris for environmental reasons). The cake was dropped off first (although kept for later). In good time our Indian waiter/cook dropped off the two veggie falafel and houmus wraps. We waited for the other two lamb wraps. They arrived so we all tucked in. They were fine but needed a bit of sauce so I asked for some which arrived in plastic squeezy bottles and were not that inspiring or tasty being unfortunately very proprietary. They did help add a bit of extra flavour. I couldn't really taste the houmus in my wrap. Our friends enjoyed their meaty wraps as usual. A plate of extra felafel, fried aubergine and fried cauliflower were quite tasty and went down well too. Our host took a picture of us, he had no other customers and was happy to chat. Our friends knew his colleague who worked other evenings. Apparently they close when it gets quiet so we were lucky to find it open. The boss does not stay open late because drunk customers are bad news, even though they are right next to the Heaven queue and could make a fortune. Their fingers must have been burnt in the past. We finished the man off with the Lebanese sweet cake which was quite tasty and not cloyey or too sweet (which would have attacked my middle aged teeth!). We left sated and happy at about 21:55 to cross Hungerford Bridge, see the lights on the Thames and have a drink in The Hole In The Wall by Waterloo Station. On returning home I found the eatery on TA which specified a closing time of 22:00. The TA location was (very inaccurately) at Leicester Square so I 'suggested an edit' to locate it properly in the Arches. The website did not specify different size wraps or prices. I did not see the bill as our friends paid. The wall menu, I'm sure, specified all styles of medium wraps at £7.95 and large ones at £10.95. The website only £7.95. Considering the size and detail of the website this place must get busy at some time!

Appalling. Asked for two lentil soups and prawn and fries main meal with a coke. Soups were lukewarm and not fit too eat. Came after the main course. Service sloppy and lackadaisical. We actually had to ask for spoons for the soup. Bill attached. They had the audacity to add on £3.60 service. Avoid!

A friend and I had a snack at Tunnel Meals some months ago, and it was so good I returned with other friends late on Tuesday. The falafels are the best I've ever tasted as was the hummus. My friends agreed that the wraps were delicious and would definitely return. Thank you.

As we are major-league big fans of doners and shawarmas, when we happened upon this shop selling Lebanese style wraps, well ... that was a slam-dunk. Count me in! The portions were ample and the wraps were light. It's okay to ask for more of somethings, they accommodate your request. After a day of following our noses, all our noses wanted to do was sniff dinner and take it back to the hotel. Which we did. The people there were very kind and friendly, explaining that this was NOT Turkish style (assume that to mean the seasonings are different) but (to our taste buds), the meat didn't taste all that different from Turkish marinades but maybe the sauce in the wraps was the key. It is a mystery! No complaints. Our bill came to 23.85 pounds for 3 wraps (7.95 each). Would happily go back again if and when our adventures take us to London in the future.

Truly awful, I got the lamb sharwmama to take away and the chicken sharwmama this was basically a smashed up lamb burger and cheap chicken pieces heated up. I walked 2 mile back to my hotel before I opened it and it all ended up in the bin for 28 quid!!!! Truly awful

My review's title pretty much says it all. Tunnel's is a decent place to pop into for a quick bite especially if one's in the mood for a shawarma in the neighborhood.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. We just happened to walk by and I’m so glad we did. The staff were so patient with my daughter as she decided what to have. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious, fresh and tasty.

Nice food, friendly service. Loved the spicy potatoes and the grilled chicken burger was a hit too. This place was a really convenient spot for us as it was just round the corner from our hotel. Halal food too.

Rather than go for main courses we opted for a selection of hot and cold meze dishes. All were excellent. Fabulous home made dishes. The lamb kibbeh and the falafel were particular high spots. The latter is perhaps the best falafel I've eaten. Beautifully dry and crisp exterior, but moisture and delightfully flavoured inside. The service was excellent and personal and the prices very reasonable given the location The food quality here deserves a more prestigious venue! Enjoy it while it's still such a modest little place! (Milkshake was a bit disappointing but I should have known better...)

Food was really tasty, large portions, very friendly staff. In my opinion they have one of the best place where you can buy a good quality coffee. Their friendly approached for the customer made my day as from normal conversation on the top of the bill I got unexpected discount as me and my colleague work at the neighborhood Leicester Square. Thanks for Abdul Azeez and Abdulla whos make me and my colleague lunch time very pleasant as we left their place happy and satisfied. Small things matters! In this case discount what was really appreciate. Thank you!
