So it's a shame to be honest with you because the shawarma is one of the best that I've had so far. However, the customer service and the atmosphere when I was getting served wasn't great at all. And honestly speaking, if my community did not recommend this place to me, I would have just walked out and not paid and got my Shawarma purely on the basis of customer service. I believe customer service is a critical part of any business. That being said, the customer service needs to be improved and that is why I gave this place a 3 out of five. Generous 2 star because the food wasn't awful. Terrible service. The man at the check out was eating and he literally did work on his laptop for like 5 minutes as I was stood there waiting to order. I've studied in Egypt and other Arab countries and personally never experienced being given a receipt and then being told I need to take the order down to the kitchen myself and give it to the chef or they won't start the order... Like... Mate that's your job. Speak to your own kitchen 10 feet away from you. There was also a bad smell coming from the back rooms. Like off meat. It was pretty rough. Oh and also, they wouldn't charge my phone... I mean that alone wouldn't be an issue. They are a restaurant, not a tech shop. But it rubbed me the wrong way after everything else. All that said, when the food did come, it was nice. I mean it was fine - how bad can a shawarma be? Huge rip off price wise obviously but if you're wasting money in London anyway... Personay I'd recommended you just go somewhere else on the same street with better service, more comfortable interior and just as good food for the same price. Generous 2 star because the food wasn't terrible.

So overpriced!!! I get the shawarmas being over £7+ because it’s meat however waraq 3anab being vegetarian and £7 is outrages!! Before it was £3/£4. I also want to mention this used to be the best place to get shawarma however it has gone down. Greasy, chicken and meat is hard/burnt. I wish I took pictures.

Service can be very slow and ignorant (was given the wrong order multiple times) when busy, however the shwarma here is a solid 7/10.

This used to be my favourite place for shawarma, but lately, the quality has really gone downhill. The meat is often dry, and the overall taste just isn't as good as it used to be. It's disappointing to see such a decline.

After a long night of poker at the Vic, I often look forward to a Shawarma from Helen’s. A friend recommended this place, so thought we’d try it. We ordered 3 Chicken Shawarmas, and I asked the guy preparing the wraps to leave out the chilli sauce for mine. He replied “no problem” then asked if the other 2 wraps wanted chilli, my friend said yes. Upon giving us the 3 wraps, I ask which is the one without chilli? He says “they all have chilli”, and I replied that I asked for mine without, and he said “no, you said chilli in all of them”. Again, I explained that I told him no chilli sauce in mine, literally 2 minutes ago, and he replied “not my problem”. Maybe that’s what he meant earlier when I asked for no chilli sauce… “not my problem” rather than “no problem”. Unprofessional and rude staff! I saw one of the chefs wiping sweat from his forehead and then gripping up a Pita with the same hand. The amount of chicken given was pitiful and it felt like I was eating a vegan wrap. Super oily, but I guess I saved some Carmex that night as I left the restaurant with greased up lips. Won’t be coming back. I’ll stick to Cafe Helen!

Very very small for the money you pay. £19 for two very slim, Lightly filled wraps. Bit gutted. Was surprised by the size. Good taste. Bad portion.

In past years good. Now very bad. Same staff. Unexplained. Not worth a visit at all.

The food was terrible. This place is not what it use to be. All of the food that was ordered food smelt off. The cook was sweating alot, I couldn't help but wonder if some of the sweat had gone into the sharwarma.

Best Kebab! I have eaten at Ranoush since 2001 and loved it. In fact in my transit flight at Heathrow I had 6 hours free time so I rented a car just to go and eat it Ranoush.

Have been frequenting this incredible establishment for over 20 years. It never fails to deliver the very best shwarma.

Exceptional food - best mixed shawarma in the area and best moutabal. I’ve eaten here at least once a month for about 3 years - they never dropped the ball. It’s more of a grab and go place. Someone mentioned the staff is aloof - the gentleman in question will always take your order properly and he’s so helpful! The people wrapping the shawarma are quit and considerate.

The restaurant has significantly improved under new management. Good quality and quantity is improved a lot. Service is at new level never before

One of the best Shawarma restaurants in London. The freshest tastiest Chicken and meat shawarmas. Pickles and Lebanese specialities. Kobeba and Houmous Tabouli and Tahina.

Utterly disappointed, not the same it used to be 5 years ago. Kebab is tasteless and very dry, cannot taste anything. Ordered a chicken soup and all it tasted was like eating paper with milk! Cannot think of a better way to describe it. Honestly avoid this place. I do not recommend this place.

Same as always we just have to go through the Ranosh for dinner but unfortunately I don’t believe with new management, they have had arguments with me for just a small garlic dip and that was horrible when we spent £65 but they are not going to make me feel satisfied with a garlic dip even though it’s take out order,unfortunately rude chef and not recommending it to anyone please avoid this restaurant if you want to have nice time with your family, 👎🏻

Came here now for about 10 years! I have to mention the quality of the food got worse and worse! Last nite we had two chicken wraps and it was very bad! Uncooked chicken skin is not nice! It happen to me twice now so will never touch this place again! Plently of better places around there!

I'm not one for leaving bad reviews. However, I needed to share that this is one of the worst places I've eaten a kebab. Made even worse because I was hungry. First, I saw the customer ahead of me get his food from the end of the counter, and the guy making his kebab literally grabbed the salad with his hands out of the container with grubby hands that he had been touching everything in sight with. When it came to me, I just passed on the salad. The chicken shawarma was probably the worst ever. It just didn't feel good and had a lot of hard bits in it that I had to spit out. The sauce was utterly gross. I ended up having to throw it halfway down the street. It's the next day, and I can still feel the nasty feeling of it even after two coffees. I know it's London, but £5 for fries? The chicken shawarma was £7. i hope they read this review and improve but I have a feeling they won't.

I have been coming here since around 2003, sometimes ordering 3 or 4 shawarma wraps at a time (for myself) because it was so good. So juicy, great flavour lamb, sauce etc. Today, after having not been around for a few years I was excited to get some lamb. I got a lamb wrap and lamb platter. I was very disheartened to find the lamb shawarma meat was very bland, other than an annoying taste of too much clove or a similar spice, lacked salt, was not hot, and was not juicy. Also the wrap - £7.50 = ok... but the platter being £17.50.....£10 more for just presenting my ingredients on a plate and adding only a little bit more meat?! A disheartening and disappointing experience after having previously had so many good shawarmas before.

Recently had the opportunity to dine at Ranoush with my family and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. It's evident that the quality of their food has taken a nosedive, and to make matters worse, the prices have been jacked up to an unreasonable extent. One of the most glaring examples of this decline in quality is the price of a simple can of coke, which now stands at a staggering £2.50 for a takeout. This exorbitant charge for a basic beverage is nothing short of a rip-off, leaving a bitter taste in my mouth before even diving into the meal itself. It's a clear indication that the management is prioritizing profits over customer satisfaction. Furthermore, the overall quality of the food has significantly deteriorated. Dishes that were once known for their flavorful and authentic taste now seem lackluster and hastily prepared. The once vibrant and fresh ingredients have been replaced with a sense of mediocrity. It's disheartening to witness a restaurant that once offered a delightful culinary experience now fall short of expectations. The combination of inflated prices and lackluster food has truly diminished the appeal of Ranoush. While I had fond memories of dining here in the past, this recent visit has left me hesitant to return.

Honestly a very average dining experience. Food is expensive and just ok , service is non-existent (a weird system where you have to pass your order to the chef yourself) and the interior is tired.

Always stop here for a quick bite when in London, good food but service is not great, the older man taking the order is not very polite or friendly when spoken too, other staff seem nice.

Probably the worst shawarma I’ve had from the Ranoush chain. The cuts of meat were absolutely shocking. Extremely over priced for what you receive.

I love Maroush chain and this place is probably fine for takeaways but I had lunch last week and the staff were unfriendly, the boss is a tall bloke who was very strange and the place smelled stale. It needs a good clean, a refurbish and some new staff! Food was ok but smaller portions than Ranoush normally gives.

Amazing Shawarma wrap. All you have to tell them is if you want spicy or regular. Personally I prefer the regular version without the chilli sauce as it’s close to the authentic taste. Everything was perfect 👍must try on Edgware Road

Good place to pick up a shawarma or other Lebanese mezze late at night. Hot fries, good falafel. Very quick delivery in the area. Overpriced though, 6 quid for fries!

A small arab kebab restaurant with incredibly quick service. My £17.50 mixed shawarma meal was ready in just a few minutes. While the food wasn't bad, I felt it could've been fresher, warmer and the portions bigger for the price paid (maybe include a drink for that price). I did really like the chips, they were cooked just how I like it. I should mention the staff seemed a bit aloof and lacked direction. The chef looked stressed out and one of the waiters just ignored me and walked off. Maybe time for new management?

One of the best shawarma places in London.

Pretty basic canteen style place. Small and can be very busy. The chicken Shawarma is very, very good. That's all I go here for. Give it a try and I hope you won't be disappointed. Mango juice goes really well with your sandwich.

The most disgusting thing I have ever eaten in my life. I paid £68 for 4 mixed shawarmas, 4 portions of chips and 4 drinks. Absolutely disgusting, we all got food poisoning and we’re sick from the food. It was not filled and only filled with sauces, extremely oily and such a bad after taste. We were sitting outside and they put the shelter in whilst it was raining so we couldn’t even enjoy our food. After we left, we were walking down Edgware Road and they had put the shelter back out again! Avoid like the plague! Not worth it at all. Disgusting.

Seriously what a poor standard of food. Cannot believe you are in business serving food like that. The lamb was full of fat and this was in both shawarmas I had. Absolutely a terrible experience.

We have ordered 3 beef shawarma wraps and there hardly any meat in it. Each wrap had 3 skinny strips of burnt meat. I have ate there few years ago and it was great but now they cuttings cost and it is very disappointing. Also they made the tehini so runny like water that made the wrap fall to pieces. They charged me £52 for 3 wraps with 3 drinks. Avoid this scam

Very disappointing. Used to love this place but terrible experience. Lamb Shawarma’s had lots of inedible gristle and the chicken ones had skin with hair. For the price I expect much better and will not be going back as better places on Edgware Road. End of an era for me..

I will never go there again.. toilets are disgusting, service is 0 and the food they are serving on counter is not even properly cooked ..floor, table all are not even clean. Please don’t waste money and is over priced.

Great place for a quick snack and refreshing. Shame it is not a chain and would love to have one nearby. I really don't like Edgware Road anymore.
