Tulsi Tandoori Kitchen in Bath and North East Somerset

I am from India and the Indian food was very good . We ordered Dhal Tarkha(spicy) and Coriander Naan, it was cooked to perfection with perfect spice n everything nice.

We came to Bath from Birmingham, the home of the British Indian curry. This did NOT disappoint. No lack of flavour or spice. Chicken tikka madras Balti and keema nan for me and Jalfrezi for my wife Stacey. That was an easy 5 stars for us 👌🏽

The venue itself was beautiful, the staff were so friendly and accommodating. The food was stunning, highly recommend, best curry we’ve had in a long time.

Not authentic Indian food. We had the chicken tikka masala and chicken biryani. Service was very slow and we were left without drinks for 30 minutes. Disappointing!

Service and Atmosphere were great! Unfortunately this wasn't even 3 star for the Indianness of the food. Everything was either cooked incorrectly or not cooked enough. Would give this a miss if you're only going for Indian food.

The food here was amazing authentic Indian cuisine which was bursting with flavour the naan bread was thw best we've ever had and the prices were really reasonable definitely recommend 👌

Friendly staff, food served piping hot and full of flavour, fresh baked naan bread added so much to the already authentic tasting food. Very reasonable priced food too. Five stars all day long. Highly recommended

My visit to the restaurant was a complete letdown. The service was abysmal, with an inexcusable delay in receiving our food. To make matters worse, the dishes arrived flavorless, as if the kitchen had forgotten to add any seasoning. Adding insult to injury, the establishment had the audacity to charge a service fee despite the evident lack of service. The entire experience left me with a sense of frustration and disbelief at the poor quality of both the food and the service. It's safe to say that this restaurant failed to meet even the most basic expectations.

We came to Bath on a little get away, and decided to stop by, definitely the right choice. Firstly, the food was really good, we all had different mains and shared around a little bit and each one was brilliant. The decor is a bit all over the place but it's so charming! The restaurant has such an immaculate vibe, such relaxed music made the experience even better. The core pleasure of the experience was the wait staff. Of the two we had, Molly was waiting by the door on our arrival and from the first moment, she was incredibly bubbly, friendly and has such a beautiful personality and in a city that is so beautiful it's incredible so say she was the highlight of our trip. She gave us a little photo shoot after out meal and was such a pleasure to be around. I can hands down say she was the best waitress I have ever met, we're all so sad to leave her. I do also want to thank Peter too, he was also just as brilliant and was so charming, chatty and answered all our questions. If we ever come back we will definitely be paying a visit even if it is just to see such a fantastic set of people! Keep being your amazing selves guys, don't let anyone ever put you down, they don't know your worth! Truly an asset to such a great evening 💞

Great service and food, best curry in Bath by a country mile. It was a Friday and not very busy but this place will become busy as word gets round, will definitely be back.

Firstly were sat down and had to wait a while for a menu. Order taken. Had to ask 3 times for our drinks which took over 25minutes to arrive, by which point i was half way through my meal! Food was ok but service really bad. Asked for bill, still waiting 10mins later. Staff seem to really dislike working there. The lady working had the worst attitude ever and was speaking to the staff like absolute dirt. Can only imagine she is some kind of manager. She told us how 4 staff called in sick and that its not their fault. I can only imagine why they called in sick! Avoid like the plague. Oh and also when i went to pay the bill which was never given to me, guy on the bar said what was it you ordered and then he added 10% service on which i told him to remove. Ive been to some crap places and this ones up there!

We booked a week before arrival. As I hadn’t received a confirmation email I contacted them to check the booking had been received and also to remind them that as stated in my booking email it was my husbands birthday, i Was assured by Molly that this would be acknowledged. Upon arrival we were surprised to walk into an empty restaurant, but were swiftly greeted by Molly. I again reminded her that it was my husbands birthday, she assured me that everything was ‘in hand’ We were seated downstairs and to cut a long story short it was nothing but chaos. Food arrived and we had to ask for cutlery, the table was never cleared, we weren’t asked if we wanted more drinks and had to hunt someone down to ask for the bill. Staff were no where to be seen and we were the only ones eating. Food was very average and my husbands birthday wasn’t acknowledged at all. I don’t expect fireworks but after being told it was all in hand a simple happy birthday would have sufficed. This restaurant needs to decide what it wants to be as if you enter from the roadside it advertises as a tandoori restaurant yet if you enter from the river it advertises as pizza and shisha!!

Had a table booked but the restaurant wasn't even open when we arrived - staff were running around trying to open up as we were seated. Order was taken by a man in jeans & a cap - not necessarily the most professional. Food was ok but the plates were stone cold. Won't be returning.

Went here for dinner tonight with four friends. Service was attentive, sociable and helpful .. perfect in fact. The food was amazing and delicious; with care taken for one of our party with a particular I ingredient sensitivity. In the past five years I've been disappointed by other curry restaurants in Bath. No so this evening.. the best by a big, big margin here. Will definitely be back again in future.

This is hands down the worst indian restaurant i have ever been to. Are these other reviews fake? I ordered the chicken tikka masala, and i’m not kidding when i say i thought it tasted like vomit. Absolutely no flavor and slight chunky- maybe just dumped a bunch of cream in it and gave it to me. The samosa is not even a samosa. i would say it more resembles some sort of east asian vegetable roll in a samosa shape. it wasn’t horrible but it certainly wasn’t a samosa. It’s clear this place is completely white washed and honestly so gross, bland, and weird. i order garlic naan but when it came to me there was zero garlic. probably just gave me a normal one. Not to mention, there was absolutely no one but me dining in the restaurant so that attests to how bad it is. The only thing i liked was the decorations and the cocktail i ordered. i really regretted spending my money here. I have never had indian food so horrifying before. I’m indian and honestly offended someone would make this.

The food here is the best Indian food I've eaten in Bath. Everything was really fresh with lots of great flavours. The building is characterful and the staff were friendly. Would highly recommend this restaurant if you are coming to Bath.

We dined at Tulsi on Saturday evening and received excellent customer service from Molly and her sister. We were greeted so warmly and made to feel really welcome. The food was wonderful and we will certainly come back. All in all a fabulous experience. Molly is a true asset to this restaurant and an excellent ambassador.

I'll start by saying that the website is deceptive and also I booked by text message (via molly) and that is also deceptive. I booked for food on the early bird special and was confirmed and booked the day before. We were then seated and told that the early bird doesn't qualify on a friday evening. Not impressed. Food was fantastic and establishment was clean and decorated nicely. Kenny (our server/waiter was very polite and attentive, 5 stars for him and kitchen staff.

The food was awesome. We ordered Samosa, Puri and Bombay Aloo and Chana Puri. Chapatis we're among the best we have had in UK. Thank You.

I chose this restaurant by seeing google reviews but it was a little disappointing for me. The service and the ambience was amazing but the food was not up to what I expected. If you are a mutton lover than don’t order mutton biryani.

We awaited a long time for food - around 50 minutes - but it was a Saturday night and there were a couple of large tables in the restaurant. When the food did arrive, it was delicious and there was plenty of it.

Possibly the worst customer service I have ever seen from an owner/manager of a resturant in my life. I feel sorry for the staff who work there. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. If u are the owner of a resturant go and steal his staff as he does not deserve them!! I can’t judge the food but I can tell you don’t bother with there starter to share as it is a rip off!! We didn’t get to main course as we walked out. Whilst we were there he had another argument with other customers!!!

I was very apprehensive after reading the other reviews, however, as soon as we entered, we were greeted by a lovely waitress who are you believe her name is Molly. The food was fantastic and the service was spot on. The best Indian in Bath.

The local looks absolutely amazing. We were sitting close to the windows with river views. Menu has colors to identify the allergens, which made easy to choose non-dairy options. Lamb balti, pilau rice, aloo gobhi, were absolutely delicious. Same that they don´t have breakfast.
