Tuk Tuk Rickmansworth in Three Rivers

Ordered from here at least 20+ times before. Our most recent order was accepted to be delivered even though the Rickmansworth branch was 'closed for refurb' (Website did not actually say this, I only found out after 2 hours had passed and I had to call there Addlestone store). They told me the manager had been informed and a refund would be issued, received nothing yet and its been 3 weeks. They have lost a regular customer now unfortunately

I ordered food yesterday night (8.7.2023) and am extremely disappointed. I have ordered from Tuk Tuk many times and have never had an issue until now. I ordered a vegetable green Thai curry, prawn chow mein and egg fried rice. My husband’s chow mein and the egg fried rice were covered in red chillies. He was unable to eat it as he has stomach issues and made him sick. I checked the menu on the website and no where does it state chillies with chow mein or egg fried rice, nor have we received our food this way in the past. We threw the food away which is a shame since the food is usually very enjoyable. Slightly frustrated we spent £30 on food we couldn’t enjoy or eat. Contacted the restaurant, front of house staff were extremely apologetic, took my number and said they would leave a note for the manager to call. I didn’t get a call back and sent an email - still no response.

Ordered food which never arrived and got charged via deliveroo. Called restaurant multiple times but they did not pick the phone at all.

Never again! We ordered several dishes to share and the only edible plate was the plain rice! It looked like a dogs dinner and tasted disgusting! Then when we complained we were told to contact deliveroo. Shambles.

Took over one hour to get the food and would have taken longer if I didn't call. Other than that, there's tofu where it shouldn't be and lots of spices/ingredients missing. (E.g. pad thai with no sprouts, no chilli, no coriander, etc.) The food is not bad per se but not as tasty as it should be.

Never received order after paying. Registered phone number does not work either.

Ordered from TukTuk many times, food is good, however portion sizes have continued to decrease. Counted 3 prawns in the Pad Thai. Wife ordered Vegan panang curry + £2 to add tofu. 4 tiny pieces of tofu added.

We ordered a Thai from this restaurant for delivery, arrived early, hot and absolutely delicious! This will be our go to Thai now

Best takeaway I've had for ages and some really great vegan options. Hot, fresh and crispy in all the right places. Particularly recommend the butternut squash katsu - absolutely delish!

We had an event that needed catering for 30 people. Tuk tuk did an amazing job. Food was delicious and the guests loved it. It was delivered hot and on time. The quality was not sacrificed in this huge quantity. Really appreciate the service as the food made the whole event very memorable! Thank you so much tuk tuk

I love how many vegan options they have and their curries are very nice as well as side menu. But apart from those, their Japanese food taste like ones that cooked by a chef who has never tried Japanese(except Japanese curry)/Thai food before but had to cook according to pictures…I would not recommend anything apart from curries.

Ordered via deliveroo. They use their own drivers. The driver called saying I'd placed the wrong address on the app as if the 100s of previous deliveries from other places magically found my address. The drive then had the audacity to ask my for fuel because he's too incompetent to use Google maps. He then called to come down the flats when it's his job to come up to the door. Then slammed the bag outside where the food all dispersed. Pathetic.

Ordered a few different dishes last night a thoroughly enjoyed a bit of everything, the chicken tiryaki (not sure on the spelling) was the best I’ve ever had👌👌

This place is amazing! It's our go-to for Asian food, as it's authentic, tasty, and they can re assure us as a vegan family that we are selecting the right items without concern of e.g. fish sauce, or other hidden items we would be concerned with. It is a family favourite!

Found this restaurant in Just eat and I'm absolutely in love and obsessed with their food. Great super tasty food and the customer service is excellent, they've changed stuff for me a few times. Chilli chips, chow mein noodles and bao buns are my forever favourites!

Awful food, only the duck Goyaz was eatable. The red thai Curry I ordered smelt really bad and had a weird piece of blue chicken inside picture attached, and the Boa buns were soggy and unappetising I was so hungry and so disappointed when it arrived an hour later. Your're better off cooking or ordering elsewhere. £20 worth of food wasted. Some of the food is either microwaved pre packaged food , definitely doesn't taste fresh

Turns out I had written this review on the wrong “pan Asian” place unfortunately when it was intended for this place. We ordered from here yesterday via just eat as we fancied takeout and I have to say the food was terrible. I ordered the kung pao sirloin beef and it tasted nothing like kung pao at all. It said “very spicy” but there was no spice at all and overall very bland. My partner ordered the chicken Katsu curry and unfortunately he has been throwing up after a couple of hours of eating this. We will be reporting this as someone should not be getting sick from consuming your food.

Summary: +Accurate delivery time -Small portion size -High cost -Poor quality -Likely microwaved I have tried other places for Asian food, nothing seems to be about Rickmansworth, I had heard good things about Tuk Tuk Pan Asian from a friend in Essex so I thought I would give it a go. I used their site to order my meal, lots of items have no images so it did make it hard to choose. The price was quite expensive, they have "add-ons" for the various meal depending on what meat/tofu option you want, comes to about £13+ for a main. The food made it to us at the correct time, which was good start. When we opened up the food, it was ice cold in the centre and luke warm on the outskirts, so I am guessing it was microwaved? The whole meal was cold within two minutes of opening the box. Portion size and taste of the food left a lot to be desired, I think they put Chinese 5 spice in the satay chicken, which didn't really work. £30 down, beans on toast it is. I wouldn't recommend and will not be going back, there are plenty of alternatives on the high-street that you should checkout instead.

After looking for a long time for authentic SE Asian restaurant, we found Tuk Tuk Pan Asian!! The food is delicious, authentic, generous size with enough meat and the service was fantastic. Everything was so nice; the food was gone as soon as it arrived...ie. why I don't have pictures to share. This is the only place we will order Asian food going forward. 😊

I have to say, I enjoyed every single bite of the meal. Also delivery service was too good.

This is the third time we've tried Tuk Tuk, after long waits for delivery before we decided to collect & tempted by the 20% collection discount. Despite there being a notice on their website 'winter collection discount' and a poster outside we were refused this and said it was only a Christmas premonition! our order price had been increased from menu prices, I know some prices have gone up but increasing egg fried rice by 1.54 seems extortionate. 'I feel slightly robbed' (Duck Gyoza £5.50>£6.99, Egg fried rice £3.95>5.49, Thai Crackers £3.95>4.95, chicken bites £6.60>7.50) to name but a few although many of the mains have stayed the same , the tacktic seems to increase the sides. Appart from the above the food alway seems to be tasty, collection recommended as long delivery, stay away from the Gyoza's not very nice.

Food is nice but every time we’ve ordered from here it’s been an hour late. Each time is the same excuse - the delivery company they use. Deliveroo, Uber eats….whoever. Never their fault. If you want a quick take away then avoid this place. You’d be quicker walking to Ricky and collecting it yourself.

Called them up about an incomplete order. Was missing 3 items and was refused a refund. This is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. The portions were way too small for the price and food was average. Would NOT recommend ordering from here and definitely will not order from here again!!! It is clear that the items missing were not crossed out on the receipt when everything else was. So obviously they know that these items were not packed then placed the blame on us that they were missing!!

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!!!! Never order from here again, missing items from delivery, was told the restaurant checks the orders that leave and the delivery drivers check however we had 3 portions of missing items they made us feel guilty as if we were in the wrong and argued with us, would give 0 stars if that was an option… in addition the order wait time increased by another 20 minutes after a 40 minute wait. This is ridiculous, was also told the restaurant can’t issue a refund for my missing items no way was I going to wait for another 40 minutes!!!!!

Absolutely delicious. I bought a variety of dishes for 6 people and was astounded by just how good the food was. I would easily recommend this place (I had takeaway, didn't eat at the restaurant) to anyone looking for quality Asian dishes. There was so much to choose from that we tried dishes we'd never had. Everyone was satisfied. Not to go on too much, but this place produces great food, give it a go!

Pre-ordered at 6.30pm for delivery at 8pm. No food at 8.30 and the delivery time just kept getting later and later on justeat. Called the restaurant, the guy clearly didn't care. Really disappointing! Food eventually arrived an hour late.

This was the 4th time I have tried this takeaway since it opened. The first couple of times it was good, third time it was just about ok, this time it is going in the bin! Despite being 30 minutes late the egg fried rice had raw white onions (not spring onions) and a horrid stale aftertaste. The chicken gyoza (one bite was enough), had one overpowering, unpleasant taste… What a shame Ricky needed a good one.

Fantastic takeaway via deliveroo. Took us by surprise by arriving so quickly when we are quite far away. Food delicious, will be ordering again soon.

Very bad quality food. tastes like sugar, probably to add taste as ingredients are very bad. not fresh at all. bao bun was hard and pad thai had just 4 prawns each portion, with sugar coated noodles, no spring onion. after 15 mins, noodles were rock hard because of the amount of sugar

EDIT: I have since ordered again and no problem at all. Same order, this time I added the spring rolls. Winner as well! I have ordered 3 times from here already and I love the food every time. Unfortunately on my last order, some of bao buns seemed clearly reheated as it was chewy and hard like stale bread. Also missing fries sauce. Will give it a pass this time and re-rate to 5 starts if the issue does not repeat. I usually order the same 3 dishes: Bao bun with aubergine, sweet potato fries and chicken katsu curry. Bao Bun: Lovely and crispy with an amazing sauce and coleslaw. Unfortunately on my last order this did not meet high quality standards as the bao bun was clearly stale. Aubergine sauce and salad where great. Sweet potato fries: Always a treat and the crispy coating is super thin. They are not greasy nor soggy and stay crisp surprisingly long. Small hiccup that on my last order the sauce was missing. Chicken Katsu: This is just lovely, the crispy coating on the chicken, the sticky rice and the amazing sweet potato curry. You would think that portions look small at first glance but with some of the sides, there is more than enough food for 2 people and I alone cannot finish the portion by myself. Usually eat half and save the other half for the next day. All in all very good experience and will try again. Hopefully the last hiccup was a one time event.

Wow where do I even start my food was over an hour late from the scheduled time of delivery, managed to overlook that as the food tasted great. It wasn't long after that both me and my partner started to develop stomach issues we've spent all night going to the bathroom and this morning ........clearly food poisoning needless to say I won't be ordering from here again.....

Dirty place Thai curry is not Thai at all

Ordered for the first time here last night. Firstly seemed expensive but figured maybe the portion sizes of the mains would reflect that. Then we couldn't use the ''all new customers get 20% off their first online order Use code TUKTUK20" we called the restaurant and was told that this was a limited time offer - no mention of that anywhere on the menu, no * to prompt you to look for non existent small print either. We submitted our order at 7.15pm, earliest delivery offered was 8.30pm, at 8.56pm I called to chase the order because it still hadn't arrived... the delivery arrived while I was on the phone. The katsu fries are not as described, soggy, not crispy and no crispy shallots either - on a good note they did come with a good amount of sauce but they are basically chip shop chips with curry sauce, but the chips are not as nice. The chow main noodle portions are not very big for the price you pay... Double the price of a box from the local Chinese and exactly the same. Surprising the food was hot on arrival (but not piping). Probably won't be ordering from here again.

By far the worst Asian food I’ve ever had. The packaging was dirty and stained with fingerprints! The food was salty, fatty and disgusting…and the order arrived one hour later than their ETA!

Tried these guys for the first time recently after eyeing them up in the high street for a while - and they didn’t disappoint! Online ordering was quick and easy, great choice of dishes for veggies and meat-eaters. We went with a few small plates rather than mains as we wanted to try a few different things and it was a great idea, with 5 dishes being just the right amount for two of us to share. Great quality food, order was ready for collection at the specified time, and portion sizes are generous.

Sometimes you have to wait longer than usual for delivery, but quality and creativity of the cook is no doubt above average. Highly recommended.

One of my favourite restaurants in the area, their vegan jackfruit bites are just amazing and I love the udon noodles too. I've had a few dishes that weren't great (don't get the pad thai) but hey not everyone will like everything, right? Their delivery guys are great too, happy with the service overall.

Food is OK. However, the delivery times and customer service is awful!! I have now had three consecutive deliveries delivered 30mins to 50mins late. The staff provide false status updates stating food is minutes away then takes over 30mins to come. Today, my food was 50mins late and incorrect, can't even be bothered the restaurant to complain as staff are useless. Will not bother with this place anymore.

Food arrived in good time. Really enjoyed the sticky chilli wings. veg gyoza were also good. the lamb in the rengdang was very tough and chewy, impossible to eat - a waste of a dish in good sauce. Good size portions. The owner has since apologised and compensated for it. Can't ask for more. Thank you...

So after nearly 2 and a half hours waiting our food arrived. What a bitter disappointment, the food was cold and bland. Safe to say will not be ordering from there again!

great food and excellent service - ordered delivery via uber eats and was concerned as they delivery directly and not through Uber so unable to track - i live quite a distance from the place so was pleasantly surprised how quick the order was delivered - also majority of packaging was not plastic - food tasted great and will definitely be ordering from them again and will also be recommending to family and friends who actually live in Rickmansworth

Its such a shame to have to write this but after calling first to make sure there would be no MSG added we were assured that that would be the case. On arrival not ony WAS THERE MSG but it felt like a DOUBLE DOSE of it just for asking maybe!!, - the food was inedible by the whole family and when we called to ask why we were just told that it was not mentioned!! We had been waiting for a competitor in the local chinese/Thai market that was actually open on a Monday, but we would not make that mistake again!!!. Sorry but beware!!..and why dont Take Aways understand that MSG is a KILLER and is banned in most countries for a reason!!! and Tuk Tuk why spoil a lovely presentaion with the WORST horrible addditive???

Ordered my food for 9pm at 7pm, delivery was 30 mins later than planned and it was warm as the driver went to denham first. My wife reheated her food but the one positive I can say is that the food was flavoursome. Would I reorder with them again, maybe just to see if the lateness of the delivery was a once off

DON'T DO IT! Unless you are willing to wait for hours and hours to eat! Such a shame as food is really tasty and good selection of Vegan food. But delivery and service is so poor! We've ordered from them twice as wanted to give them a second chance. First time we waited 2 hours for delivery and second time over 3 hours. On top of that, you struggle to get through to them on the phone (presumably because everyone is calling to complain) and when you do get through they tell you it will be at least another half an hour, no apology and no compensation then it ends up being far longer. I work in this industry and have dealt with the likes of just eat, uber eats and deliveroo alongside a busy 80 cover restaurant- if you can see you are getting flooded with orders and your kitchen can't cope, you turn it off (it's called managing a service) - better a happy 60 customers than a disappointed 80. What's crazy is they aren't serving any customers in the restaurant due to the lockdown. I imagine because they've already got your money for take away they don't care,. If you know delivery is going to be 3 hours, call the customer offer an apology or at least the option to cancel their order, rather than letting them sit waiting until 10pm at night, when it's really too late to order from anywhere else or arrange alternative dinner plans. Sadly this business model won't last and you've lost what would have been a very regular customer and by the looks of it several others who have written on here.

I wouldn't use this restaurant again. Two previously super slow deliveries and I should have known better but gave them the benefit of the doubt thinking they will have learnt by now. The delivery missed the scheduled delivery time and then I couldn't get through to them on the phone as one numbers engaged, the other just rings. I used Deliveroo to request an update and just got a generic sorry its going to be late. They then missed the new delayed time and after 2hrs of waiting, I had to request Deliveroo cancel the order. All I got was a reply offering £3 discount with no other way of cancelling or getting in touch. The only option was to keep trying to ring, eventually getting through to cancel the order. Even then they didn't seem bothered, with a very generic apology and refund in 4-5 days. Now I've ordered 3 times, I'm confident I wont try a 4th as they clearly haven't learnt and don't care about customer service, also evident by other reviews!

I'm not one to give reviews, but I've order a couple of take away curries and it's been the yummiest curry I've had in a while. I'm definitely ordering from them again.

This restaurant is absolutely frustrating; the food is good but the service is just awful. They can’t keep to time and lie to you when you speak to them. They seem to prioritise JustEat order over their own orders, we’ve ordered twice on JustEat which arrived on time and twice direct, both of the direct orders were over an hour late. This seems wrong as surely they make more money on their own orders so should make sure they service those customers to a high level. Such a shame.

Can't say much about the food as it never arrived. When I called they hung up on me. I called again and once again they hung up on me. Absolutely awful!

The foods actually really decent. But the last 2 orders have taken 2 hours to be delivered. They've arrived cold and in the last order 2 vegan dishes have been replaced with meat dishes, which we wouldn't eat. We've ordered for delivery to chalfont st Peter so I'd advise against ordering if you live in csp, CSG or GX. Unresponsive when I asked twice for a refund for the meat dishes. It's a shame that we won't be able to order from this place again, probably spent £300 there over the last few months!!

My new go to Thai! Love love love this place. Since trying once I've ordered 3 more times in about a month! The pad Thai is so good and the jackfruit panko bites are out of this world
