One of the best takeaways I’ve had. The food is indulgent whilst keeping with traditional Asian cuisine using fresh produce. Can't recommend enough.

I have to start this by saying the food here is fantastic The service, however, is not. Not the quality / courtesy of the service--but the speed and general management of service. It's appalling. When you order through their website it doesn't give any indication of delivery time until after you've paid. I've had to wait a bit for order from here before--but my most recent experience has led to this review... I ordered last Saturday night and got a delivery time of 95 minutes. So I rang up (only managed to get through on the 15th or 16th attempt) to say I'd collect instead and was told that it wouldn't be any faster because they were very busy and would deliver the food as soon as it was ready. Resigning myself to the wait--because, as I say, the food is good--I sat down to enjoy an evening in with friends. When the allotted time had expired I rang to enquire about delivery. I was told the food was ready (meaning I could have collected it sooner) and would be the next order delivered. Ten minutes later: no food. I rang again. It's definitely on its way was the message this time. Twenty minutes later: still no food. I rang again, quite frustrated--pissed off really--by now. I got apologies and, again, assurances that the food was on its way. I said there was no way I should be paying for this food that has now taken close to 2 hours to arrive. To that I was told there was no one there with the authority to give a refund and that it would have to come out of the pocket of the lady I was speaking to. "So be it!", was my gut instinct--but fully realised that wouldn't be right. I've worked in hospitality and know full well that customer facing staff often take the blame for issues beyond their control. The whole situation was ridiculous and, ultimately, mismanaged. My biggest point was this: If you can't prepare and deliver food in under an hour because you're busy you shouldn't be accepting more orders. In fact, you shouldn't be in the food delivery business. Really disappointed with the service and complete lack of refund facility. Yes, the food is great--but will I go back for it? Unlikely. *Fours years later... If fact we did go back. Regularly. The service has improved massively and the food is top notch.

In 45 years of eating The Panang Lychee Curry I've just had is one of the best things I've ever put in my mouth. Simply sensational, and the Crispy Tuk Tuk Chow Mein wasn't to shabby either

Have had many lovely meals from here as we're very local and we like to support local businesses. This evening - Trying to order a meal to collect - we literally live opposite the place - and keep being told "you're too far away to order from here".... if I hadn't just literally got home from surgery today, I'd gladly skip over the road....... Maybe take a look at your online platforms as at the moment you're just losing local custom

I personally disliked it, my beef pad kapow wasn't authentic, meat wasn't good, meal too liquidy, lacking basil and flavour, fried egg would make it better, I think it was £11 and didn't come with rice so I think very overpriced for the ingredients used, my girlfriend found her mixed vegetables ok, her Thai coconut soup was more like a like a Mexican lime soup slow cooked beef massaman was ok i suppose but still lacking flavour, spring rolls was the best thing🙈, was worth a try because of all the good reviews but unfortunately wouldn't order here again

Shame the food is lovely, because the customer service and delivery is a joke! Been waiting for 2 hours for delivery and everytime you phone for an update they fob you off!

We placed a delivery order on Deliveroo and the cafe cancelled the order. Not trustworthy. Avoid.

Wouldn’t bother ordering for delivery. Just collect it. Said it was 60/70 minute wait, called up after 90 minutes to be told “yeah we still have your order, we are still making it , what’s your problem “ 😵‍💫 would advise rolling back the wait time on the Deliveroo kitchen app if you are struggling to meet the cooking times 👍🏽

Consistant in two things, amazing food and a complete failure to deliver. Orders either come incomplete or hours later than stated. You shouldn't attempt to run a takeaway service if you cannot fulfil orders.

Disgraceful! I ordered food on phone was given price and told delivery time. I rang an hour later to be told they didn’t proceed with order because I was using foreign mobile… THEY TOOK THE ORDER!!! I only knew I wasn’t getting it because I rang back - I had given them all hotel details and was waiting in reception so it would be easy for them! Absolutely outrageous - and they insisted on passing me to every staff member there! Stay away - absolutely useless! I definitely I won’t be ordering again when I’m back here. 😡

I order delivery from here fairly often as the food is always fresh and extremely flavoursome.

Telephone order ready for collection in 15 minutes. Tasty starters and the Summer roll portion was particularly generous, packed with big prawns. Best Green Thai Curry we've had for quite some time. Nicely packaged, friendly staff. Excellent, will definitely be back.

Quite disappointed, ridiculously expensive, £15 for a box of rice with a few bits of chicken and prawn in it. Pretty sure portion sizes are smaller than they used to be too.

Absolutely Dreadful. Just order from this place, and it was dreadful. Portions were small, and a order of Crispy Duck was delivered without the cucumber, spring onion's and hoisin sauce.

We order from here frequently and it is never a disappointment. Food always hot and pack drinks seperate from food which is great service. I can highly recommend the Tom Ka Soup, so delicious with coconut rice! We are yet to experience the restaurant as we hace only ever had takeaway.

I dont usually write many reviews on google but I have to give Tuk Tuk 5 stars. Since moving to the area I've had their food as a takeaway probably 6 times now and tried a few of their dishes. Every one has been amazing - both the Thai and the Chinese. Its really rare to find a restaurant that does both SO WELL! Standout dishes are honey and black pepper ribs and the panang lychee curry, as well as both the Tom Yum and Tom Kha soups. The other half loves the crispy shredded beef. My only point (not a criticism) would be I would enjoy more spice from the Thai food - feels like it probably caters for a wide range of people, but I like my Thai food authentic and HOTTT! Perhaps option to increase spice for some dishes? Overall I'm seriously impressed and enjoying ordering from here. I'll visit the restaurant in person one day soon! Fantastic Thai takeaway with generous portion sizes. Food was ready very quickly for collection in store.

The food is amazing and 100% worth the wait - even if they're extremely busy (not surprisingly). I've eaten about 10 times from there now and it always seems to get better. The pad Thai's are so good, as well as the crispy shredded chilli beef.

Received wrong order, sticky liquid spilled out as we lifted one of the boxes out! We got our order after another 15 minutes but the special fried rice was, not only bland, but "gloopy" & warm. The noodles were dried out, hard & chewy. I had hoped for decent chips…they were hard & barely warm. The duck spring rolls were quite tasteless with just a minced up type of mush within. £25 worth of food inedible, untouched and wasted, NOT HAPPY

Always ordered to collect from Tuk Tuk. The food has always been very nice, and the staff seem friendly too. The only thing I would say let this place down are the prices. Food is nice but I still feel it's overpriced for what you get, especially when collecting. I would definitely order to collect more often if the dishes were slightly cheaper.

So. We ordered food via the restaurant's website at 18:45. Rang them at 2030 to find out where the food was. Was told it would shortly be on its way. Rang again at 2100 and was told the driver was outside and could not get a response from me. This was a lie as he arrived while I was on the phone to the restaurant. Don't get me wrong the food was nice when it arrived but I had to wait over 2 hours for it to be delivered when the restaurant is 10 minutes away from my house . Yes it's s Saturday night but any other restaurant I order from on a Saturday night does not take longer than an hour to deliver. I won't be ordering again.

Stunning food, one of the best take aways I have used, fresh produce every time, the only negative is they are so busy it's a long wait.

The food is really really good. Hard to imagine better quality Thai food at home. In fact is as good as any Thai restaurant have been to. Issue is how long it takes to get the food. I ordered at 4.45pm on a Friday eve. Didn't receive the food until 6.20pm. In future I may try collecting the food. Would surely be quicker. Or maybe better to order earlier. Hmmmm.

Dec 2021 - Update on below: Tuk Tuk are now delivering on time and delicious Thai food. Thanks for sorting this out. Very unhappy, as this is the second time I've called and the delay was over 1.5 hours for delivery. 1st time was Feb 14th 2019. Fast forward to March: 3rd time lucky and the food was very good. Owner knows they are victims of their own success. In my opinion they need to expand to bigger premises and take on more staff at busy times. Sunday in June: A 1 hour wait turned into 1 hour 15. Simply not acceptable!

Unbelievable food. Possibly the best Thai food I have ever tasted.

We placed an order on a Saturday evening via just eat - we waited over 2.5 hours for it to arrive and still no sign of it. This was over an hour past the delivery time we were told. I called up to be told it was with the delivery driver, but still 30 minutes later we hadn’t received it. I then called back to be told they didn’t have the order and they would have to re make it and asked me to wait a further 30minutes, this is at 10pm. Appalling service, no apology, no help with issuing a refund. We won’t be ordering from Tuk Tuk again which is a shame as we were previously regular customers, but this isn’t the first time it’s taken over 2 hours to receive (or in this case not even receive) our order.

Tuk Tuk came recommended by our neighbour! Really pleased with how easy it was to order online. Food was delivered within 30 minutes, arrived hot, fresh and was very tasty. We had Sui Mai, Malaysian Nasi Goreng & Thai Red Curry, with Coconut rice

Absolutely delicious the best takeaway around the quality is always spot on really tasty fresh high quality food and ingredients. Love the packaging however allow for long delivery if ordering busy times however estimates on Deliveroo have usually been within the initial timeframe.

The best takeaway I've had, all the food was stunning but the stand out was the honey black pepper ribs 👌the food was piping hot and delivered before our allocated time. This is definatley our new take out go to place and we can't wait to try the other items on the menu 👍

Delicious tasty food but delivery is totally unacceptable. Ordered 5.40pm for 8.15pm delivery. It arrived at 9.40pm. This isn't the first time unfortunately

The best takeaway in the Prestwich/Whitefield area by some way. Sometimes you have to wait a while for delivery because they're so busy (though that's gotten better over the last few months), but it's always worth it. Everything we've had from here has been great.

Had many a nice meal from this place To treat my wife on Mother’s Day to get home and have no rice... They must have forgotten, it’s not the end of the world. Gave them a call for them to tell me sorry we have ran out of sticky rice! Oh right thanks for making me aware when I picked up my meal, no replacement either! I told them that I had paid for two lots of rice at £7 too with no reply! Thought I’d have a stab in the dark and asked if they had any other types of rice to the reply of yes we have steamed rice! By this point I didn’t no wether to laugh or cry. So I had to drive back to pick up the rice to no receive no apology and get home to cold food. But the food was lovely as always!

Had a takeaway from here recently. I haven’t eaten a lot of Thai food and if this place is anything to go by, it might be a new favourite! The satay chicken & soups are delicious. Highly recommend

After ordering and paying on their website a message then tells you it will take 90 minutes before delivery (would not have ordered if told this first), so waited and waited hoping the food would be worth the wait, however after 2+ hours, including the time trying to get them on the phone: on ringing it took them a while to actually find my order and then they told me they have not even looked at it or started to prepare the food. I can see others have had the same frustrating experience over a long period of time, so they have already had more than reasonable opportunity to fix any issues. I would therefore not recommend you waste your evening by risking an order which may potentially result in a very long and pointless wait for nothing.

New to the area and found this place as I was exploring. I was immediately drained in by the beautiful decor inside and the amazing smells coming from within. Upon returning home, I told my partner and we both agreed that we'd give it a visit in the near future. Today was that day, and my god, I was not disappointed in the slightest. Albeit we had to order for delivery (I've seen a few negative reviews regarding delivery time, ours was delivered within 40 minutes maximum, so no complaints) I had Thai green curry with egg fried rice, with prawn and pork dumplings and my parter had Terriyaki Beef with soft noodles and Breadcrumb coated prawns. We both took a bite, and upon doing so, we looked at each other and agreed without saying a word, that this was some of the best food we've had in a very long time, especially delivered. We also had some of the Chinese donuts for desert which were so fluffy and light. Crunchy on the outside yet so light on the inside. Absolutely beautiful. overall, 15/10. Will 100% be ordering again.

I've edited this review. It used to be 1 star because first time I ordered, I had to wait for my food. Last few months, they have worked hard to improve and my food now comes in a decent time. Really nice food. Tastes fresh and always arrives piping hot.

Whilst there was a wait for food, this was clearly articulated when ordering - there was a block on orders initially to illustrate how busy they were which was helpful. We've sadly not been able to order previously because of demand, but it was well worth the wait. The food arrived earlier than quoted, which was a bonus. Food was fantastic. We went for the katsu curry and thai green curry with some appetisers. Really delicious. So happy to have this so close to home! Thank you

Unbelievable - just eat. Waited 1 hour 40 minutes only for them to tell me it was en route, then only to cancel it after I had already waited 1h40 minutes. Then to have the audacity to say they've cancelled it because they quote "weren't making any money out of it". Shocking professionalism.

I ordered on line it said 100 minutes so with it being a Saturday I waited. After 2 hours I rang up to see how long my food would be to be told at least another 30 minutes and also not to phone on a Friday or Saturday because its busy. How can you tell customers not to order at a weekend were to busy. Baffled me. 2hrs 45 minutes after ordering, my food arrived. Salt and pepper chicken with no salt or pepper. Fish cakes that was like rubber. Salt and pepper chips with no salt and pepper it was like a Macdonald's happy meal without the happy. 1st and last time I will not be ordering from here again. The dearest take away I have ever had and not the best

What a disappointment. Rang up to cancel once the confirmation said it would take 90 minutes. Staff member promised me it wouldn’t take that long and would be with me within the hour. It wasn’t. Completely misled me. This has happened a few times now. The standard of food does not justify the wait time or the prices. Food was cold and the chips were soggy. Not pleasant. I have given this restaurant many chances because it is the only Thai in the area, but there is a pattern of substandard service and unsatisfactory customer service. If I managed this restaurant I would be very concerned. If it continues to operate in this way it just will not survive as a business.

So 6+ months on from bad reviews about delivery times and poor customer service it's clear that nothing has changed? We are currently over 2 hours since ordering our food. The one time we managed to get through on the phone 15 minutes ago (phones constantly busy) they admitted the food hadn't left yet. We now can't get them on the phone to cancel the order. £35 of food. We're hungry. We can't even go to plan B and it's 9.30pm at night. The food is tasty. I'm sure if you eat in it's fine. Now expecting cold food near 10pm at night. Not good enough and will not be ordering again. Quicker to get locally. Don't get takeaway from here on the weekend!!!!

Three star is for the food quality. Would be higher but I don't like my change in Euros nor do I like not having the extras I always ask for. 5 times you never give extra sauce after asking. Probably last time i come now. The Euro change just took the pi**

The food from Tuk Tuk is amazing! Honestly one of the best takeaways in the area but the inaccurate delivery times and the constant lateness really let's it down. Our delivery time tonight was an hour after the order was placed but the food took 2 hours to get to us! The only guarenteed way to get your food piping hot and on time is to pick it up.

Went for dinner with my family. Am so impressed with the authentic cooking and all the staff members hospitality. I have a nut allergy which I forgot to mention, yet they had no problem at all cooking my dish again for me. Even though they were quite busy, I got a really lovely response from them and it was no trouble at all to cook again. Have ordered takeaway several times from here and they are a firm favourite of my entire family.

Amazing Chinese/Thai restaurant. Food is perfect every time.

Usually great food. However last night after well over an hour and a half wait the food came cold and the tom yum soup was like pond water! It's like they forgot to add the flavour to it! All in all it was very expensive for sub standard food! I wish I just went to the local Chinese and saved half my money! I won't be coming back again!

Vegan review: Ordered the tofu and vegetable holy basil dish with coconut rice. There wasn’t much tofu, it was ok!

Highly disappointed with the poor service. Ordered a delivery and was told it would take up to 1.5hrs. 2hrs later and it still hadn’t come so I called and it took a couple of minutes for the lady to find my order, I was then told that the kitchen was having issues and that my order would take another 20mins and asked if I would still like to go ahead. By this time my family and I were so hungry we had to oblige and waited. Luckily the food did come in this time and was really nice... though I’m not sure I’ll order again. But if I did i’d make sure I pre order 3hrs in advance.

Terrible service. Have ordered from here 3 times. First two times food was over an hour late. Third time the order was incomplete, I had to phone up six times and they kept hanging up one me. They refused to send the missing food that I had already paid for and they refused to refund me. I am reporting them to training standards as not only is this theft but they are also very very rude.

Super Thai cafe sit in and takeaway. Gets a 5 star food hygiene rating from Bury council. Open kitchen so you can watch the chefs cook. We had the king fu fried rice and the beef massaman curry. Both were delicious, tasty and not greasy. Will definitely be going back and may sit in next time. Very busy with telephone order and had 2 drivers doing the delivery. Had to wait about 30 mins for food to cook, but was well worth it. Giving it 5 stars for a takeaway.

Had Singapore Vermicelli with King Prawns and Chicken Malaysian Nasi Goreng, Summer Rolls and Prawn Crackers for £20 and can honestly say it was some of the nicest Asian food I’ve had in Manchester. Can’t wait to order again.

Not been here since it changed to Tuk Tuk Café and we were really impressed! Cartons were cardboard not plastic, really pleased about that. The beef teriyaki and Thai red tofu curry were both really tasty and the curry had a great selection of veg.

AVOID!!!!!! Terrible place, ordered food for delivery 2 hours ago, tried calling after an hour, the restaurant put the phone off the hook. Finally got through to them after 1 hour 40 mins and told it’ll be another 30 mins. I had prepaid for the food, had the restaurant have let me speak to them I would have cancelled. Food came after 2.5 hours cold and soggy, not even an apology. Terrible place, never returning again!

ordered food from here on sat evening online at 7.25 and was given a 90 min delivery time which is 8.55 by my renogning. at 9.15 I began to ring the shop to ask when the food would be delivered,it soon became obvious that they had taken the phone off the hook knowing that the still had outstanding orders to complete before their 10pm closing.at 9.50 when the food still hadn't arrived and thought there was no way I was getting fed by these people tonight because the close at 10 and would have surely picked th phone up and rang me if they was coming,I decided to order from another take away.they turned up with food at 10.10 1hour & 15 mins late & nearly 3 hours from ordering no apologies from shop I told them to take the food back! a reply to this reviws of (we are having a few issues with deliveries)is not acceptable when you take phone off the hook because u can't cope & don't ring costomer because you don't care.disgusting service!!!

5* food easily... But let down with delivery time. Heard good things and thought would try it delivered. Great choice on the menu and when it arrived it was unbelievably well made and great quality. The only thing that let it down was when I placed the order, they confirmed it would be 90 mins, but it took close to 3 hours in the end. As such, the food wasnt that hot. If it was hot and had been delivered in 2 hours, it would have needed more than 5*.

Wow , new and refreshing flavours, excelllent quality. I don’t normally write online review but on this occasion I feel I need to tell everyone, if you are a foodie type who appreciates good food you must give it a try, excellent value for money too. These amazing tasty and fabulous looking food are clearly crafted by passionate people who clearly know exactly what they are doing. This place is now my new favourite local eatery, I will definitely be returning again and I am going to tell all my neighbours. Highly recommended.

Was hoping this would be good and it is! The only downside is how close it is to our house! I'm sure it will become a regular treat...About time there was a decent Thai in Prestwich...a welcome addition. Delicious!
