Great pub with very friendly staff and regulars. Lots of tvs for watching sports, a pool table room and nice beer garden. It has recently been done up so it’s really nice, clean and modern inside. Weekly band and quiz nights are good and they have function rooms for events. Would be good if they offered food or more snack options.

The food was absolutely delicious! We have been here a few times now and each time we are very happy with the service and quality of the food. The atmosphere is very welcoming and we will visit again. Thank you

This is not the welcome of old, since James Main and his team have taken over its now a cracking pub, busy, relaxing and well worth a visit.

Recently worked with James and his team on a charity quiz night in the function room, they couldn’t have been anymore helpful or supportive. Nothing was too much trouble and all staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great night. so happy I can call this place my local, the landlord and bar staff are all friendly and loveable people, its had a marvellous refurb and looks splendid, whether you want a quiet drink, watch some sport, play some sport or have a dance and sing on karaoke, this place can offer it all. there's various different types of things going on throughout the week that's sure to get people involved in one way or another. there's also a fantastic function room for hire and lots of parking space (just make sure you enter your reg no) also very dog friendly and a great beer garden for those up and coming sunny days (fingers crossed)

Nice place, can get noisy when the live music or karaoke is on, but tuck yourself away in the snug and it's fine!

Amazed how well rhey have done the seating area outside at the back.plenty of room and tvs for sport.can highly recommend..just be sure to tap in your reg as you will get a parking fine if you don't.. luckily the staff at the pub sorted it for us as we were there on a workd doo upstairs in the function room

Didn't have any food, but AIPA was very good.

Just come back from a funeral and the after occasion was at this venue, the staff were really nice and the pub itself was warm and inviting, drinks were average price 5.5o for smirnoff and bottle of diet coke, we had a buffet so I don't know if it was done by the pub or externally it was very nice all in all well done.

Recently refurbished. Live music and quiz nights. Very friendly bar staff and great beers. Pool table, darts and big screen TVs showing all sports. Brilliant landlord (James)

Nice traditional pub. Came across it while at friends in Radcliffe. Much nicer than our local pubs back home. You must try the Holt's Bitter, very refreshing.

Lovely pub, perfect atmosphere as it’s not too loud and not too quiet. Has a few events on on the regular and will definitely be retuning. Lovely and helpful staff, and seem to have a brilliant reputation with the locals 😊

Not really sure what's changed here, but last time we were in this establishment was over a year ago and it was just about average, at best. We only went in as friends had asked to meet there and I have to say, it appears to have changed, for the better. It's much cleaner than it was, the staff are much more welcoming and friendly. All in all, it's actually a nice place to go now. Try and keep it up.

Great to see the welcome inn returning back to community pub , and now in very good hands , it's a friendly public house and welcomes all ,great for football and sports events and also has a large function room to hire , onwards and upwards to this great pub

Watch the football. At half time they came out with home made potato pie and home made pickles. It were delicious. Donation to their Christie charity. Fabulous night. We will be back.

Inadequate, poor management. No staff. Pub is full of drug takers and drug dealers. Decor is old and tired. New management seem to be in with the drug dealers dealing out of toilets. Popped in after walking my dog and had an expensive item stolen from me right under 2 cameras. James the new pathetic landlord has barred me because I made a police report after being robbed. He said if you ring the police It puts a stain on his name. Also Grace who was on the bar at the time told me 'it's only £50 it's not expensive' shr also said James isnt going to deal with police over £50. Maybe you should sort out the drug dealers from the normal people. He also complained that I was rude to Grace, one of his staff. I wasn't rude or nasty I asked her could I speak to James after the robbery and was told no so I rang the police and have now been barred for doing the right thing. Would not recommend to anyone with self respect or even dog walkers. One man goes in with a viscious labradoror and gets the rule of the roost. Been my my local for 20 years. Sadly joey holts Don't like local customers and prefer passing trade these days. On its last legs and ill be boycotting all Joseph holts pubs from now on after the level of disrespect I've been shown by the management of this once fine establishment. I'll also be complaining to the head office for this aswel.

Lively & friendly atmosphere, always a warm welcome.

Large tidy old fashioned pub. Very well kept ale plus the usual lagers (if you must). Clean and comfortable (dog friendly). I believe under new management. Staff pleasantly chatty. Bar snacks but no food. Large upstairs function room. Games lounge and snug compliment a big bar room.Very large car park.

I didnt go in for food but what I can say is the staff are super kind and welcoming and extremely helpful!! My cars tyre had blown on the way home from a park and i ended up pulling into the car park. The staff immediately came out and told me to pop my registration plate into the system so I wouldn't get fined and then offered us a brew. They sent somebody out to help us fix the trye which we are forever grateful for as we wouldn't have known where to start. The man wouldn't accept my money when hed fixed it. So nice to see such genuine kind people and we will one day return for food !!

Had fish and chips ,omg it was absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection, lovely big pub , its fantastic out the back in the summer it gets the sun all day long , fantastic bowling green as well , they do a fantastic offer on for a game if bowls and a drink and something to eat to , please if you get chance try this pub out you won't regret it at all

Beware, I went to this pub on a rainy night and did not see the signs that say the parking is run by a private firm. I went to give a talk to a group that meets there every month and received a £100 fine for my trouble. "Welcome" Inn, no thanks.

Large Holts pub. Best feature is their tv screens for sports. Has a car park and an automated laundry tagged onto the side! Also has a good sized function room upstairs for parties etc.

Attended a funeral here. The staff were friendly and efficient, the buffet was varied and tasty but the place needs a good clean and refurbishment. I wouldn't go again or recommend to friends and family.

Great pub, steeped in history and heritage. The usual selection of Joseph Holt beers. Built in 1936. Brick and half timbered exterior. The Bar Parlour on the right has a blocked up door which was the off -sales that ran down the middle of the present room i.e. it was a bar and a snug until it was all knocked into one in the 1980s. Good bar fittings - the bar back may be some old cabinet and doorway between two parts is 1930s but much new shelves, tiles etc. Original fixed seating at the front of the room. Gents here has old urinals but modern tiles. The main bar has fully panelled walls to picture frame height, a very good glazed stone and wood surround fireplace but fixed seating may be post war. The original bar counter with leaded panels reaching to the ceiling but a new counter top and the bar back is a mixture of old and new - all the lower shelves replaced by fridges. Dado panelling up the staircase to. Original revolving door replaced by exterior and inner doors but the curved panelling around it survives. The small lounge has a good carved wood surround fireplace from the 1930s but modern tiles and fixed seating may be original. The intact gents on the left were removed in 2009. Customers beware obviously the pub is not earning any money went in on a Friday night only 8 people in all my friends three weeks later got £100 parking ticket for parking in their car park none of the staff mentioned this so there's more money in parking than beer beware avoid scam pub

Ideal for family gatherings buffet area and dance floor. Upstairs with bar and toilet facilities. Staff very helpful and friendly.

A good welcome at the welcome, a fairly standard Holts pub, a large main room one smaller room and a vault. A large outside rear seating area with electric heaters a small seating area at the front, and a large car park if you use this you have to tap your registration into a screen inside so you don't get fined for parking.

Come here with some friends few months back. Landlady and landlord very friendly and happy to be back running the pub after being closed for so long. The service was brilliant and they definitely know how to keep a great pint. Well done all will be back soon for sure.

A very local pub with a good beer range for the area. Nothing too exciting and it can get a bit rowdy at times

Went in on Sunday to watch the England game. We were in at 12noon and made to feel welcome. Good service under the Covid rules and asked to register as we entered the pub. We were asked if we wanted pasties at half time. Good, clean and friendly pub and felt very safe 👍🍺

It's so easy to get settled in this pub, warm, cosy and friendly bar staff. Cracking outdoor seating at both front and back to top it off!

Love going in here, comfortable and friendly, band nights are great and there is plenty of room to move around, becoming a bit of a local here.

Had a wake there so was not our choice. It is a tired run-down pub that needs modernisation. The drinks were fine but the atmosphere and facilities were lacking

Been here several times now before I've gone to the match good beer big boozer and friendly bar staff

had lunch in here yesterday it was quiet food was cooked lovely coffee was nice although they dont do latte etc just regular coffee and tea and although food was lovely we couldnt understand why our meals were on small side plates/child size plates they were not busy we were the only ones eating in there but food was nice and all staff were pleasant and place was clean.

Shame it was a funeral, but good beer and nice food. Dumped the car and had a few drinks with long unseen friends. Jim

In pub landlord and landlady working enjoying the day and getting on with all pub like it should be. The vault was very friendly and the regulars made you feel very welcome.

Went in for the football but there was little kids running all over the place. Didn't stay and won't be going back
