The chicken was rubbery and undercooked. The salt and pepper chips had no seasoning and no veg - they were also crinkle cut - oven cooked and soggy…how do you even manage that?! The prices are ridiculous and the quality is awful. There’s really no excuse for this level of poor quality food. Give it a miss and spend your hard earned money somewhere better!

Misleading pricing on menu left rather a nasty aftertaste.

Ordered king prawn chow mein. Food was good but VERY expensive and smaller portions than elsewhere. As good as the food was, I would not pay almost £13 for a takeaway meal for one from here again. It was not worth that price.

Great place to dine in and take out didn't know they deliver there are a few times we wanted to stay in and have a movie night in and have a lovely meal delivered from taos sizzling steak, with soft noodles, egg fried rice, sweet n sour king prawns, dim sum with sauce, excellent. but can you deliver as far as Pendlebury??

It's been quite a while since we visited Tao's. I think it may have changed hands. The food was OK, though I've had better from our local takeaway. My partner had wonton soup, which was tasteless. I had the duck in orange sauce. Half of the duck on the plate was good, but the other half just seemed to be scrapings off the carcass. It's certainly not the restraunt it used to be. Having said that, the staff were attentive and very pleasant.

Just ordered food from here and it's the worst food iv ever had , soo greedy and no taste , the dumplings where slimy and deliver in oil . The wings in there own sauce tasted like salad cream . £28 on absolute vile food

Online ordering process clunky. Poorly designed & executed website with dead links. Gave up after a couple of tries & ordered elsewhere. Happy to try again once you sort out your website.

Worse takeaway I’ve ever had, cold bland food, chicken pieces inedible, went in the bin, no taste to the noodles and duck spring rolls burnt. Won’t be ordering again

Tao's Restaurant Prestwich, Manchester, offers great tasting food with good sized portions! Reasonable prices with a dish to suit everyone's needs. Service when ordering through Deliveroo was very informative from beginning to end. On arrival, food was nice & warm, also very fresh. Would definitely order from Tao's Restaurant again.

The meal was great however I felt the waitresses were very abrupt. They were good at moving our table but she virtually thew our meals at us I was in a group and we each wanted to pay separately. It seemed like that was very difficult

This restaurant is like a tradition the staff are really nice and the food is nicer.When I chomp into a spring roll it springs me to the point where I am dancing on the roof. But in spring roll there's always roll so I roll in the beutifull sweetcorn soup If I had the chance I would have a bath in the sweet and sour soup all up in my face it would be beautifull also like me I'm a vegetarian if your not then cool. It's also always nice to have a Chinese as it feels like your on the other side of the world . HIGHLY RECOMMENDED By Matthew turner

Just had a lovely meal here. The food is excellent, the prices are very reasonable and the service is great. Three lovely members of staff looked after us superbly, with special thanks to Winnie. The restaurant is only small, but it is well maintained and very comfortable. Highly recommended

Super eatery in my opinion, I was a little reticent to go reading some of the reviews online, but I thoroughly enjoyed our meal here! The occasion was our grandsons birthday, the staff were brilliant and very attentive, the service was spot on, the drinks were priced reasonably and the food was top-notch! I can recommend the Crispy Duck, the Yeung Chow Fried Rice and the Crispy Shredded Beef. Certainly will go again!

The food from here was excellent. Sadly, though, Deliveroo was 1 star if that, and unless this restaurant changes its couriers, we won’t be ordering again Sorry!

Not really value for money, food came out within 5mins of being there so far from fresh, salt and pepper ribs nearly cracked a tooth they were that hard !! Special fried rice was extremely sloppy and all I could taste was fish - £13.90, had one mouth full and left it, waitress stood watching over us !! Not really a great experience to be honest will not be returning or recommending sorry

Loved the food, I understand the waitress was very busy but felt too rushed which made it not as calming as should of been like simply waiting for us to finish our sentence before rushing off etc also sat near door so was very cold and I had to get up to close it as no staff memeber did. Overall good experience though because of the food Update: When I went back during a weekday instead, it was a lot better and we sat by the kitchen which was nicer and the staff didn't rush off like last time so the experience felt a lot more relaxed and was still very busy for a week day but not to the point they don't give proper service so I recommend going during week for a better experience :)

I ordered stair fried seabass, the seabass is so old and over cooked. It taste like nothing really. I don't think I ll ré order again.

Usually a fairly standard takeaway, though nothing special in comparison to the menu items on offer in the city centre. However, last night was basically cornstarch and water as each meal was a journey through greasy, soggy, blandness. I wish the chinese restaurants and takeaways in north Manchester would cook more home style and traditional dishes rather than rely on the grossly unseasoned western dishes from the 70s and 80s.

Excellent local Chinese restaurant. Can get very busy on weekends so wise to book. Food is amazing.

Our latest discovery and straight away become our favourite Cantonese/Chinese restaurant! Food is perfect, prepared with care from quality ingredients. Beef is delicate and juicy and sea food fresh and aromatic. Highly recommended!

BBQ ribs were very dry. Sweet and sour chicken was awful. Chips were cold. Usually great food from here.... really not happy.

Was well spaced out and meticulously clean. Friendly staff always on hand. Beef dumplings were amazing and the best sweet and sour chicken I've ever tasted. Good price and very filling.

Received a takeaway from here and being a vegetarian I ordered vegetarian wontons. Bit into one and realised it wasn't vegetables! My partner said its prawn!! Never eaten meat or fish before, feel totally sick. Also dangerous - wouldn't take the risk with this place if you have allergens. Disappointed and disgusted.

Last 3 visits have kept me waiting 20-30 minutes after agreed pick up time for take away collection. Items missed off recent orders and declining quality of meat in meals (I assume they are trying to maximise profits with cheap / old meat). Real shame, they’ve lost me as a loyal customer and I’d strongly recommend you look elsewhere for your Chinese food.

Exceptional. One of the best Chinese's we've had for ages. Booked the private room upstairs. Fabulous. Could have done with our own waiter maybe but no faults at all. Keep up the good work
