Very excited and pleased the Tudor Oaks is up amd running. Its been a bit of a white elephant in our community, but no more. We had a fabulous first visit. The food and service was faultless. A beautiful sunday roast, reasonably priced in a comfortable and friendly enviroment. The site is still a little bit of a work in progress but they have had alot to over come, but with the pure energy of the new owner Im certain it will be a popular local business, we will definately be returning.

After a two year battle the Tudor Oaks Lodge Resturant has finally reopened it’s doors to customers, located just off the A1 about a mile past the services junction. Easy access from the A1 northbound, this once lively venue has reopened under new management. The Resturant is located at the far end of the courtyard along with the bar, it has a good selection of drinks and a good menu from which to order from. The staff are very friendly and cater for every taste, from Steaks to vegetarians, the food is all cooked fresh and is reasonable when it comes to prices. Once fully opened it will hopefully become a busy hotel and Resturant which would easily hold wedding receptions and parties/music nights in the large hall onsite. A good place to go and enjoy nice food and drink, quiet at the moment, but it will become better as it gets up and running. Loads of parking space for cars out front.

Decided to try this as newly opened and local. Friendly welcome and delicious food . Took my teenage kids who devoured steak burger , chicken burger , steak wrap and falafal wrap .All served with fries and a fresh salad . Would highly recommend for a casual meal out . There is a good choice of freshly prepared burgers and steaks and plenty for me to chose from as a vegetarian . We will return soon and am looking forward to the music events they have planned .

Really lovely venue. We got a taxi there which was a bit of a chore with the A1 next door. Menu wasn’t overly diverse, salads, burgers, steaks Good choice of starters. Portion sizes were ample and unusually for me I couldn’t finish my meal! I chose the halloumi starter and the Mexican bean burger. Definitely worth a visit.

We came to try out new restaurant at Tudor Oaks. The owner Romal was very friendly and welcoming. He showed us around the venue hall which looks good. We then had dinner in the restaurant. We had beef burger and lamb burger. Both were extremely tasty and would definitely recommend. The ambience is relaxing and welcoming. All come along and try for yourself 😊

Had Sunday Lunch here, it was very quiet, to start with we were the only ones in the restaurant; which was great. Our order was taken quickly, shortly after we arrived a large party arrived and this seemed to cause a problem. Our first two courses arrived fairly quickly but the wait for the pud was not really acceptable, 45 mins to 1 hour wait (for ice cream). The actual food was good. However, we could hear the large party on the adjacent table complaining about the food. They left abruptly after their first course and made a comment to us about how poor it was. All I can say is apart from the delay in service we enjoyed our lunch. Maybe it's potluck?

Catering for a group of around 30 on a Thursday night, food orders were pre-booked at fixed price for two courses. Everybody enjoyed the decent quality of food across a wide variety of starters / main / puddings - couple of finals had to be reheated but this was no big problem. Bar could have done with an extra person to serve outsiders from our group and those who wanted to go there for an aside chat / drink but again, we all survived. Excellent value for money!

The previous reviews are not inaccurate however some info is missing. Our meals from the standard pub menu were good, I enjoyed the chilli con carne very much. My hubby would have preferred chunky chips rather than thin fries with his ham and eggs, and one of the eggs wasn't runny. The pub looks terrible from the outside and is not brilliant inside, however the welcome was friendly.

We want back to the Tudor Oaks last night for a meal and they have changed their menu. They have good honest food which is well executed and served with a smile. You are made to feel welcome when you walk through the door. There is something for everyone without frills. We enjoyed the food and it was great to see a pub restaurant serve good pub grub. So many are now trying to be gastro pubs and end up falling short of people's expectations. I would recommend this restaurant for couples and families alike. It's not overpriced and you will be guaranteed a good meal in very pleasant surroundings.

The new owners are really hospitable and friendly. The food is fresh and well cooked. They do a great deal of two courses for £9.95. This was fantastic value considering the quality of the food. Well worth visiting.

We were staying with family in Stotfold and we're looking for a quality roast dinner before starting our journey back up the A1. I spotted an advert for this place in the Stotfold News (a free magazine delivered locally) so I mentioned this to my brother who was horrified at my suggesting such a place as they had driven here a few years ago and had promptly left without even getting out of the car!!!! Admittedly the outside is still not much to write home about but it is apparent that the owners are doing what they can when they can!!!! Inside the restaurant its a very different story as it has been totally refurbished and is very warm and welcoming. We were a party of 4 adults and 3 children, all the adults ordered the roast dinner (£8.50 per head)and the children had the sausages and mash. Service was quick and our meals arrived without much of a wait, the quality of the food and the size of the portions were amazing, I have to say this is probably the best Sunday lunch I've had in a restaurant and at such a great price!!! Desserts were equally as yummy and I wouldn't hesitate recommending this restaurant. The owners and staff were lovely and were great with the kids too, I really hope they get the opportunity to make a go of this place as it really was fantastic, its just a shame we live so far away that we won't be able to go more regularly

We've eaten here several times now. The food has always been fantastic, with good quality ingredients and prepared to a very high standard. Pub prices but by far a more gourmet experience. Highly recommended. The hosts, bar staff and even the occasional appearance of kitchen staff are always friendly and helpful. We're looking forward to our next visit. The hotel itself is well presented with obvious on going works to beautify the already pretty social areas and having had a peek in one of the rooms they look lovely too.

This restaurant and hotel has recently changed hands. We only ate in the restaurant so cannot comment on the accommodation. We had been here some time ago when run by previous owners and the food was ok. We heard that the food was good now so called in on a wet Thursday lunchtime. The food was a little on the slow side arriving but it was freshly cooked and excellent. We had Lamb Shank and also Chicken with Madeira Sauce. It was all cooked beautifully, including the vegetables. The meals and the drinks were a reasonable price as well. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There were about four other tables of diners. It was a bit smarter than previously and looked as if some well-needed renovation was taking place outside. We were pleasantly surprised and will definitely go there again.

I stopped in here on the way home, with my daughter and two friends and we felt welcomed immediately… The facilities were clean and checked regularly… The service was quick and we were greeted with a friendly smile. The atmosphere was welcoming and accommodating to someone with a young child. The food was lovely and the staff are friendly, & even made me laugh. Will be stopping in again soon.

It started well with a good selection on the menu. When we came to order our breakfast sandwiches my friend asked how much it would be to add an egg to her bacon sandwich, at which point the waitress advised that the prices on the menu had increased so weren't correct & could only say they had gone up by about 50p. On asking for a sparkling water she advised that had also gone up by 20p maybe 30p, these increases were due to the cost of living increase. When we questioned why the menus hadn't been updated she advised there were new owners & it hadn't been done yet but that there was a sign on the wall inside the shop advising of the price increase, we were sat outside but to be honest anyone entering the shop wouldn't have seen it as it would have been behind them. She then brought out the A4 sign. She also tried to find an updated menu which she couldn't find. Firstly I am sure this must be illegal to advertise one price & charge another & secondly a hand written note could have been added to the menu or a copy of the price increase attached to the menu which everyone would have seen. Maybe the new owners should hold fire on the price increase until new menus are available as it may save their reputation. The breakfast sandwiches were very tasty, however the 'glass' that accompanied the sparkling water was in fact a jar with a thread for a screw top. Some might call it funky but not to everyone's taste. Needless to say it wasn't used. There are standards which have to be met & the clear advertising of correct pricing is one of them. We are all effected by the cost of living crisis & on occasions when we do our bit to support local businesses we might be watching the pennies too.

A very welcoming experience thanks to the excellent heritage centre guides who knew their stuff and pointed us in the right direction. The Centre is a must visit not just for aged train spotters but for every one. The line has a new future with East West Rail which needs all our support to get locals back on trains. Great coffee and cake made the day.
