Mr Chips in Central Bedfordshire

We phoned our order through to pick up and the person was nice and clear and went over our order to makes sure it was correct. We were told 10 mins. As it was a Friday, 4.45, and knew the parking maybe a bit iffy we left 10 mins after the call, we are not even 5 mins away. The food was ready when we arrived. We ordered kebab and chips and nuggets and chips. The food was very hot and the portions were generous. We will definitely be ordering from here again because the food was lovely.

Kebab shop and fish and chips shop combined. So you can have your kebab or half pound cheeseburger with proper chips shop chips instead of fries. The fish is of a good size and the batter is crisp. Sausages are of decent quality as well. Prices aren't bad either. But if a wait if you just turn up and order there. You can pre-order as well, but even then I saw people turn up that had pre-ordered and still waiting. Definitely recommended.

I love this place because they make really nice food there is not much of a wait but sometimes you wait.. Staff are friendly and usually always gets your order right this place ain't too expensive too & portion size is probably the biggest you gonna get . Highly recommended food joint

Fantastic little place, we stopped here whilst heading back to Cambridge, polite staff everything clean, and quick service, ive tried lots of chips shops around the country, this has the best flavour and best battered sausages.....for now, thanks.

Service and friendliness of staff was spot on Service was speedy. Main plus point - Portion sizes were massive , incredible value for money. Couldn't believe it ! Negative was that food was not high quality. The chips were stodgy. The kebab meat was barely cooked. They only accept cash which presents problems if you arrive with only your phone. We discussed and decided that we would not be hurrying back. Shame as they appear to value their custoners.

Great food , generous portions. For the money charged I believe you are well rewarded.

Always had lovely fish and chips from this place but tonight's were horrible. Dried fish which had spent too long in the hot cabinet and chips that were stodgy and all stuck together. Nearly £30 spent for a horrible meal.

Charged my son £10 for 2 saveloys and small chips instead of £7.60 Why do people take advantage of children..

Dry overcooked fish and only just cooked chips with next to no colour. Terrible considering the wait was ten plus minutes

Place is filthy, the food is far too greasy and the staff seem like they'd rather be anywhere else.

Arguably the best chips shop. Fantastic traditional chip shop chips and the fish is very good too, very nice batter on it. Tried the kebab once which was decent and very generous portions. Only criticism is its cash only. Its 2023 so i think we can probably guess what is probably going on here which lets itself down

The best fish and chips I've ever had. Their portion sizes are very good. I've been coming here for a few years now. Only downside is that they're quite expensive and prices has gone up, so I order less frequently now.

Tasty kebabs, generous portions ideal on a weekend. Shop itself is quite small so not much space to wait but parking is at roadside so most will choose to wait in car. I can't comment on the fish as we did not try this, however chips were nice and chunky and plentiful.

Great chips and great kebab but they have just put there prices up and I think it’s crazy how much it’s gone up. £11.50 for a mixed kebab. I will have to find another place unfortunately. Shame though.

We were passing through and decided to get fish and chips. They cooked it fresh and it was delicious as were the chips.. Yummy 😋

They do not take any cards, cash only. Very bad nowadays. They lost 3 customers due to this while I was waiting.

Absolutely brilliant, found this place by accident and it really is one of the best we have ever tried. Now we get well out of our way to pop in and get some fish and chips here! Recommended :)

Visited on a recommendation and a normal sized chicken kebab with side salad it was delicious and a good size so a 5 star award from me next time it may be a mixed kebab or even large fish and normal sized chips......the large fish is huge definitely worth a look

This is bar far the best fish and chips in Dunstable, portions are anormous and the guys that work there are really friendly and courteous. But please can you start doing a delivery service, can’t always go there and would rather order from here than pizza or chicken.

If you want to make a fish tasty is easy . add some ajanomoto with rice corn .you can try to eat first.is good .you can do it. Rock fish take out 3 hour still got a 50% ice cut it . Put refrezee you can use next time no lost profits.is frash.cod can't refrezee. I hope can improve your business. Can buy ajanomoto in Chinese store

People moaning about waiting time well if their the best/popular what do you expect?! Went there for first time ever, was delicious very decent portion sizes my small fish looked like a large chips were lovely and an actual fish cake that is a decent size too!! Will come back again for sure!! 😊

I cannot recommend Mr Chips enough. I came here and ordered a kebab and fish and chips to share with the Mrs, one meal could have been enough. Moreover the service was outstanding. I cannot sing this place more praises! Awesome work!
