Tubby isaccs in Tendring

Great traditional seafood at it's best. We had a seafood salad and a prawn cocktail, sat outside the pier bar with a glass of white wine and enjoyed the best of a British seaside lunch. In fact we did this twice during our 4 day break.

Very nice and clean seafood and fresh but very very expensive everything but was so nice would go there again but you need plenty of money.

I was there yesterday and I got some cockles and they're all dried up and disgusting and they been put back in the fridge and brought back out out.and for a mall in a bin well overcharged too expensive just disgusting plus the rollmops they were terrible I will never come back there again

Absolutely disgusting, spent a lot of money getting a variety of seafood. Served by a miserable, grumpy, downright rude man. Seafood was absolutely tasteless, obviously frozen & definitely not fresh. My husband & I have both had upset stomachs since eating. We will definitely not be buying any seafood from there again.

Had some ocean pinks totally inedible obviously defrosted the day before and put back on sale the following day dry as a bone even with sauce in car at this point so wasn't worth travelling back to complain avoid this fish stall

Ocean pinks were the worst I had ever tasted!! Went on a Saturday, OK silly me presuming would be fresh (frozen) but tasted like chalk. I went over to complain and tell them they were frozen still, woman felt others ones selling and said no there not.. Handed the food over for her to chuck away. I had expected my money back. Nothing.

Brilliant new unit by the pier. Clean and full of seafood, lots to choose from. Helpful friendly staff. Serves the best fresh quality seafood.

Me and Becky took a detour from our trip from Warwickshire to Basildon to sample some seafood. We were down to Essex earlier this year and loved Osbourne’s in Leigh on Sea and so thought Tubby’s would be open but it wasn’t. Three people were there at the same time hoping for there tray of whelks/cockles/prawns

We visited Clacton pier with family and extended family, and one of our group decided she wanted a small tub of fresh Whelks to eat from Tubby Isaacs. So her husband bought her some. We all thought they were quite expensive, but she said they tasted very good and she shared some with me. They really were delicious. I will definitely return here the next time we are at Clacton-on-Sea and I will buy some exclusively for myself.

Been here many times, always good seafood and fresh. The Eels are the best, meat falls of the bone and the spices make all the difference. Pinks are so easy to eat. Not the cheapest but certainly the best.

This is a butchers shop in Caister. There is also a pastry section that sells cakes and pies. You can also buy fruit and veg. The meat is very good. You might pay a bit more than at a supermarket but it is well worth it. The meat which I cooked was very tender and was full of flavour. We also bought some egg custards which were delicious. We have only just started to come to Caister but we will certainly use this butchers shop. Highly recommended.

i am talking about the tubby isaccs stall outside the pier. hubby got welks and prawns and prawnies. the prawnies were dry and the welks smelt really bad. we put them straight in bin. this is the second time this happened . this is definitely not fresh produce. and the lady serving really needs to sort out her smoking . as a smoker i cant believe how she stands so close to food outlet puffing away , so goodness knows what non smokers think . the seafood is quite expensive so i think they should really do better.

Always a great selection of lovely fresh seafood..always a friendly welcome..all reasonably priced.Great whilst visiting the pier to be able to have seafood..it is a must on a visit to the seaside.

At the front of the pier we purchased some lovely fresh prawns. There was a good variety of 'seafood' including cockles, whelks and roll mops all nicely displayed. I enjoyed my prawns whilst walking along the seafront. An ideal treat when visiting the seaside!

A visit to Clacton would not be the same without indulging in seafood..the seafood here is reasonably priced..and always tastes nice and fresh.

Found this little seafood place in clacton yesterday. Really lovely fresh seafood. Will go back to tubbys whenever we're in clacton that's for sure.

Brilliant little stall, friendly staff even when taking a bit of time to decide what I wanted. You could taste the freshnes of the food. Good proper fresh south coast seafood. Definitely recommend.

What can I say those that remember Tubby's fish stall in, London Aldgate will know what I am talking about. A journey back in time, great

On finishing our day, we decided to take some seafood home, so knowing Tubby from a pub car park in the East End, and making regular visits there, this wasn't a patch on that! It was expensive and not particularly fresh.

A trip to the Seaside would not be the same,without a selection of seafood,always tastes so good when you are on the seafront,enjoying the sea air.

As an old East Ender I loved this stall, having been a frequenter of the stall up in Mile End this went down well.

At bottom of Pier Avenue,always has a good selection of seafood.Always nice and fresh,reasonable priced.

decent quality whelks, and not a bad price either. 3 quid for half a pint..... looked clean and hygienic
