A reliable and reasonable American style restaurant. Excellent servers. Good food at great prices. Live cabaret style music. Gets an older crowd mostly which is consistent with Wilton Manors. But it's definitely worth going.

Food was delivered to my house hot flavoursome nice portion and exactly like my Auntie's would cook me in Westmoreland JA, my new got too.

I ordered brown.stew fish with rice and peas and a side of stemmed veg... rice and peas were great the fish was lovely , would of liked more gravy. I would rather of picked it up as I ordered of just eat and the price it up but u was being lazy Food was nice

I've been visiting Tropics through their various name changes for nearly 20yrs and never had any real issues with the food or service. I recently bought some oxtail late one evening...and I have to choose my words carefully here but towards the end of the meal saw what can only be described as a "foreign object" in the food that shouldn't be in it. At this stage I cannot confirm what I suspect it is but I contacted them Immediately, spoke to the manager who informed me these matters are dealt with by their superiors and took my contact details! After no contact I called again, still no response after nearly two days. I consider this a very serious breach of customer health and safety and to be ignored in this way is unacceptable, it should at least be investigated. Due to Tropics' lack of acknowledgement I'm forced to write my personal experience with them which is a shame because I've been supporting them for a long time. I'll put a photo up and people can draw their own conclusions as to what they think it was in the food. If my suspicion is proven incorrect I will apologise and withdraw my review but due to their "don't care" attitude I definitely will not be going back there and I urge any future customers visiting Tropics Grill and Bites to carefully check their food before consuming it.

I order from Tropics at least twice every week. I tried pretty much all of dishes and enjoyed every single one of them! Jerk Chicken with rice and peas is extra ordinary! I've seen some very bad reviews for these guys recently and I really don't understand why as their food is really exceptional. Yes, the delivery may be a little bit late but it really is worth the wait!!!

I’m a really fussy eater but my God, the food here is amazing! I had the goat curry & it’s a really nice portion. So well cooked, soooo tasty, defo the best around by a mile. Will definitely be ordering again for sure, can’t wait! Compliments to the chef 👩‍🍳

We had takeaway, Sunday night. My wife’s from JA and an amazing cook. This meal was outrageous! Everything tasted like your mother cooked. Thank you! Excellent food.

I went for pick up an order she said 5/7 minutes but waiting more then 20 minutes still not ready.no one working here looks like they just chilling and don't bother .wont go there ever again

Jerk chicken, rice and peas, and roti in Hillingdon? That’s right, you can get a taste of the Caribbean delivered to your door to brighten up your mealtime. I ordered a late dinner on a Friday night and my food was delivered in about 40 minutes, still piping hot when it arrived. I received a huge piece of very tender chicken, served on the bone and marinated in smoky, spicy jerk sauce. This was accompanied by a mountain of fluffy pink rice, liberally scattered with hearty, nourishing kidney beans. I used two large, floury roti skins to help me mop up the leftover jerk sauce and slices of sweet, fried plantain were a great counterpoint to the spicy chicken. To drink, Tropics offers an intriguing range of punches, which they refer to in their menu as ‘magic potions’. There was indeed something spellbinding about the peanut punch I washed my meal down with. It’s essentially a peanut flavour milkshake, which is rich, creamy and delicious. One small bone to pick: I was lured in by the offer of £10 off my bill if I ordered through Deliveroo, who advertised a discount voucher code online. However, when I tried to redeem this at the Deliveroo checkout, the voucher didn’t work, so this was a bit sneaky of Deliveroo and/or Tropics. Luckily, Uber Eats had emailed me a 25% discount code so I cancelled my Deliveroo order and ordered through Uber instead. With the discount, my meal came to just over £17, which was great value for money considering I was absolutely stuffed by the end of it. I highly recommend.

I have ordered meals from Tropics Grill & Bites several times now and I have never had any problems. The food is cooked to a high standard and always tasty and spicy, like how Caribbean food should be like. My experience with Tropic Grill & Bites is very good and so now since the lockdown because of Covid-19 pandemic, I order bulk meals/large order of a variety of meals for my 97-year-old Caribbean dad. My dad cannot go anywhere, so we freeze the food and it last him for about 3 months. My dad praises the food highly, as it makes him so happy to eat such good food (his words). I will continue to get my dad’s supply of food from Tropics Grill & Bites.

The food used to be good, I lost my dentures on the floor and they couldn’t find them, I had to gum everything LOL the last time I was there it was like being in Jurassic Park, the newlyweds and nearly dead’s. I’m sure glad they put a walker parking lot in the back, and two high-speed wheelchair entrances totally cool good place you want to Have a laugh

Fantastic night!! We went there for a friend's birthday. The staff, never fail with doing an exceptional job. Jami was perfection.. she added to our night with her demeanor and fun attitude. She is also a phenomenal waitress; She was sheer perfection! We had a wonderful wonderful time and will be back again and again and again.

This is a review and rating of the restaurant portion. Had dinner here several times. The food, while pretty basic, is well prepared. The portions and prices are decent. There is one exception, the salad is on par with the worst I've ever had. Boring, unappealing, and unattractive. They need to radically rethink it. The restaurant can get pretty noisy (depending on where you sit), but after all it is also a fun and crowded bar so that is to be expected.

This is a popular hotspot for an older crowd. There's live music in the form of a piano bar which is nice, but the patrons are boisterous, so dining and carrying a normal conversation is next to impossible unless you shout across the table. That's not for me. Also, the food is average, at best. The Lasagna had lots of noodles, but little else and it was a bit overcooked.

The Sunday Brunch was horrible to put it bluntly. I would gladly have paid more than the $20 price to have had decent food! The only two edible items on the buffet ran out after they had only been open 1hr of the 3hrs they were serving and were never replenished. None of our party will ever go back😞

We called on the tuesday before valentine's day and asked if it would be a set menu. The person who answered told us no it wouldnt so we made a reservation only to arrive and see it is a set menu

TERRIBLE Bill bartender at the piano bar took $12 change of mine off the bar and put it in his tip bucket claiming he didn't charge me for my last drink. False as I had given a $20 bill for the two 4 dollar cocktails and had $12 on the bar. Why did he put my money in his tip bucket instead of the register if he honestly thought he didn't charge me. When questioned he threatened to throw me out of the bar.

This is a gay restaurant with a full bar. The food is great, but expensive. I'm not gay, but I went with a gay client of mine. Though the atmosphere was not for me, I did enjoy the food. The food portions are small for the price, but tasted really good.

Went for NY eve.. food cold , shimp cocktail warm, cheapo bubbly, drink prices were increased.... if the waitress smiled i think her teeth would have fallen out. , the band was great, ruben at the piano great the singers great. Wish i could get my $$$ back.

Haven't been to Tropics in years. But I'm glad I went back last night. The two-for-one Monday evening dinner specials are amazing and mmm mmm deeelicious.

The Ambiance was lively and fun! My dinner was excellent! I ordered the Chicken France for dinner and it was exquisite and delicious! Their bartender makes excellent drinks as well. The bartender created an excellent and delicious "Harvey Wallbanger" cocktail for my best friend, of which consists of three simple ingredients, one part orange juice, one part vodka, one part Galliano liqueur. I highly recommend this restaurant and bar. Thank you.

My partner and I dined here for the first time the other night and it's absolutely wonderful! It's a very nice atmosphere, well decorated, and the staff are all so very friendly. The food was absolutely amazing I had the chicken francaise and my partner had the chicken marsala. Both meals were very delicious. The best part about the experience was our server Jami. She was wonderful! Because of her, we will definitely become regulars. She was very friendly, warm, welcoming, and provided superior service. I highly recommend this restaurant!
