Fantastic food best steak by far in this area had a birthday meal here and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this restaurant it’s amazing.

Argentinian steak, wine and restaurants are typically awesome and this place is no exception to the rule. Lovely ambience, service with a smile, excellent Malbec wine and outstanding steak cooked to perfection. On the neg side, steak comes al la crude - on its own, so you need to order your own garnishes - why? So we got mushrooms and spinach to accompany ours along with the chips we’d ordered too but this took a while after food arrived. The whole experience was most enjoyable despite garnish-gate! This place really does have its act together. Well done.

One of the best steak house in the area, the lunch set is also quite nice and delicious. Good lunch menu with offering price, £14 for one course. 17.5£ for two courses and £20 for three courses,Sunday roast beef is nice and tender.

Chimchurri which was served with rolls was too sour, the starter(sausage plater) wasn’t good at all, the large sausage didn’t taste at all, very disappointing, the main course was good.

5 stars for all! One of our favourite steak restaurants! The steaks were cooked to perfection and everything tasted amazing. Must try the corn ribs! The waiters were very attentive and friendly. We will definitely be returning soon.

Really enjoyed our visit to Lomito. We had the Sunday roast which was excellent with perfect medium-rare roast beef and large portions of vegetables to accompany the meat, the gravy was especially good, served in a separate container. Service was friendly and quick and the place was very clean and nicely decorated. A bit on the pricey side but worth it for the great quality of the food. Would definitely visit again for a special occasion.

Great food, staff and interior. The parrillada was a delicious set, though it was a bit too much at once and it got cold rather quickly.

Came here with family and friends for my wife's birthday a week ago . We had a great night ! The service was fantastic ,food was amazing ,not a scrap left on anyone's plate. The chefs know how to cook the best steaks. The atmosphere was lively. I've been coming here for few years now and have never had a problem with anything. My favourite restaurant !

Vegetarian options were very limited and not very interesting. The churros are excellent and not to be missed. Steak and rest of the menu overall very good. Only negative point was paying £8 for two gambas that were actually small prawns. Drinks menu is extensive although not a huge number of wines available by the glass. The cocktail bar downstairs is brilliant. Real pisco sours! It is a bit dark in places so if you take elderly people you may get complaints! Maybe there could be small optional lamps on the tables....? Very friendly and efficient service.

As a vegetarian I was quite cautious about visiting here but the delicious mushroom ravioli exceeded my expectations. Great service and wine selection too!

Good steak and service. Really enjoyed the salad supplied with the steak. Very rarely have dessert and ordered the Banoffee pie, but sadly it wasnt to my taste. Just found the establishment a little noisy, but as i said, good steaks which were well priced.

Went for their tasting menu, which is half price currently on a Tuesday and Wednesday at this location. At £45/pp (+10% service charge) it was mostly reasonable I think. The appetizers were great with several selections of sausage and a couple of large prawns. I could have eaten many more 'chorizo pincho'!! The steak selection was very good too, you get four between two of you which portion wise is plenty. The steak was cooked lovely, and the seasoning was great. You do only get two sauces from a selection of seven, it would have been nice to try more of them. The only let down was the dessert selection. The 'banoffee pie' was actually a banoffee flavoured cheesecake, decent but nothing I would have again. The churros were pleasant but no chocolate sauce! The best was the pana cotta with a nice tart raspberry sauce, but the spoon was comically huge for a tasting portion. Also, sort of random, but the ladies loos were very slippery - it felt like they'd washed the floor with soap or a wax?

I was there yesterday for a Saturday dinner… The welcome is so polite, service is very good, staff is friendly and polite, I love the atmosphere… Cool place, I’m sure that I’ll be there again… We had some steaks, salad and crabs, all of them are delicious and flavorful… “I definitely recommend this place”

I was taken to this lovely restaurant where I had the best 10oz fillet steak cooked to perfection. Highly recommend Lomito. Five star says it all for me.

Great food, lovely sunday lunch and friendly staff

I went here for dinner on a Wednesday evening; not mad busy, which was just what we wanted; quiet, plenty of space and very comfortable seating (not horrible wooden of wicker chairs like many other restaurants) I was really pleasantly surprised by how good the food was here. It's not difficult to make nice steak, but so many places don't do it properly or how you ask for it to be cooked. But Lomito was spot on with our rib eye ancho. Delicious, tender meat. Really lovely chips too and plentiful fresh salad. Price is what you would expect these days for a nice steak restaurant; £48 each; main course steak and chips + salad + onion rings(really good) dessert and small glass of wine. That's OK isn't it? The English-Londoner lady who served us was wonderful. I didn't catch her name, unfortunately. She was, I hope she doesn't mind my saying, not much younger than me (63), but had the enthusiasm and cheeky smile of a youngster; she was so good. I look forward to coming back here (even though I live miles away down the M1 nearer centre of London) Worth the journey, definitely.

7 of us went to celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary. Age range was 11-71years. The staff we very friendly and accommodating. We had carnivores, vegetarian and a child and everyone walked away with huge smiles on their faces and full bellies, the food was mouthwateringly delicious. Would not change a thing. Wonderful way to spend our special day, good food, wine and with family.

My mother visited today and tripped in the restaurant due to the low lighting and lack of warning about the lip in front of the seating. This was not acknowledged by the Manageress despite that fact that she was showing my mother and her friend (who was on crutches) to the table. She didn’t even ask if my mother was okay. The other diners were concerned, but not the staff. Appalling customer service

Have been here a few times now, love it! Only disappointment me & my partner have had here, is the fact when you upgrade to the surf & turf they give you only 2 prawns for an extra £8. (Scandalous!) Lol. Apart from that steak & extras are all lush, Sausage platter to start is sensational! Flavours & spices are divine. We do enjoy coming here.

Nice Argentinian place. The empanadas were good. The place has a menu version for 17£ which is good when it comes to quality/price. The place is big inside. There is no terrace. Service was ok; slow.

Came here on a Saturday night, booked a reservation for 2 people. Felt neglected in service compared to the tables around us. Had to ask for water 30 minutes in. Everything felt like a chore to the waiting staff and they never came back to ask us how our food was cooked. Didn’t even offer us a desert menu after clearing our plates, we decided to promptly leave. Food: starters are average, decent but nothing special. For the main we both had steak medium rare but one of them was way too rare. If you’re paying £44 for a piece of steak, the least they could do was cook the meat. Chips were good. Sauce way too thin and runny. We asked for a salad on the side and it barely had any dressing, again dissatisfied. The mac and cheese had zero flavour, perhaps some extra cheese should have been used. If you’re charging central London prices, the food and the service needs a big improvement. It’s not even comparable to Gaucho which we have been to plenty of times. I would advise saving your money and go elsewhere. Won’t be coming back.

Fantastic restaurant great food brilliant staff

Absolutely stunning food! Great service and lovely atmosphere. Was just a little hot and sunny in the window seating area which might be worse in summer. Music was a bit loud in the toilets.

Fabulous venue with a real Argentinian vibe. Food and service both great! Great place to eat for couples, families and groups.

The food was wonderful, excellently prepared and so quick to arrive. The service was also 10/10, very attentive and kind staff.

First time here, nice place, decent service if a bit impersonal, nice variation of menu. Worth a visit, more for friends than couples.

This is one of the most expensive restaurants we visit and only on 'special occasions'. However, you can't fault it for quality and attention to detail. The starter's are quite small for the money, yet tasty!

Ah what another wonderful evening! We absolutely loved our wine choice - we went for the Punta de Vacas, and our steak was fab. We had fillet and a steak sampler in our group and lots of sides. The food was delicious, cooked exactly to order and our host was really personable and attentive - thank you Valentina! Defo recommend and will defo be back soon! ♥️

This is a top end steak restaurant. The food was top class. The service was excellent and the place had a nice feel to it. It is however expensive.

Delicious food from the land of Argentina. Great flavours and ambiance. They have a great bar and seating area for groups. Must try the steaks. Quantity for dishes could be better though. Variety of wines to choose from Argentina.

Went with friends . Our waitress was amazing. Take a cushion though as the seats are quite hard and as it takes time for the courses to arrive. I ended up sitting on my coat. But the steaks were outstanding and the sauces to die for . I was not over enamored by the macaroni cheese pasta too over cooked for my liking and not enough sauce , but dessert the banoffee pie made up for it . I did not ask for the macaroni to be taken off the bill, but they very nicely did it anyway . When I next fancy steak would be more than happy to come back here it’s great it’s local and plenty of parking in the car park across the road

Love this place. The best steak I've ever eaten. Lovely warm atmosphere and polite, friendly and attentive staff.

Enjoyed a late lunch, where the food atmosphere and service combined to make a really enjoyable experience. And with the incredible lunch menu price even paying the bill contributed towards the enjoyment.

Waiters were very attentive upon arrival taking coats and ensuring guests were comfortable. All through service no problem was not attended. Wine and drinks perfect.

I used the private room for a birthday celebration. All the staff were outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was terrific, we all had our food at the same time piping hot and really very good cuts of meat. I'd never hesitate to return. Thank you.

A special thank you to Alice for really looking after us this evening, she knew everything she needed to know in terms of the food and menu, so welcoming and polite, perfect service in our opinion as restaurant owners. Food was outstanding, so flavoured and different from other plain Jane steak houses, fried onions are a PERFECT touch, we will 1000% be back

My partner and I tried this place out recently as she loves steak and it was... OK. We didn't hate it or love it but there were two main things that will stop us returning anytime soon. Firstly, both our steaks were cooked inconsistently. My partner asked for rare but it was half rare and half medium-rare. I asked for medium-rare but half of it was medium. How's that happen? Is part of the grill hotter than the rest? Whatever it was, a steak restaurant shouldn't get "doneness" wrong. Secondly, it was a bit overpriced overall which left us feeling short-changed after an average meal. Including the "discretionary" tip, it cost about £100 for two mains, one desert (their churros are quite nice tbf) and two soft drinks. Part of that cost was £8 for two small king prawns (about 2" big) on the side. I expect prawns to be overpriced but the size of them actually made us laugh. Maybe they should be called pauper prawns?

Great sausage starter and the mixed steak sharing platter was amazing

Steaks in extraordinary quality. You should be careful when order to get your steak as you prefer. The peppercornsauce should be with a nice little special taste - for instance made with green pepper or red pepper - but it is ok as it is. I have had the grilled gambas as starter which was close to perfect. As main the steak sampler - every steak made as medium well. Great! My wife had have the fillet steak well done which was great, too. The hand cut chips has been very well. Only our daughter was not that happy with her grilled chicken. It would be nice to have a classic chicken burger for instance as option.

We had Sunday roast from lunch meniu and ice-cream, it was fresh and tasty. A service was a little bit slow ,there were few waitresses, but had to wait a vile to be served. The atmosphere was cosy and nice. Overall, it's a really nice place for lunch/dinner I'm definitely coming back!

the best steaks in the UK that i've ever tasted. you won't get questioned when you request it to be cooked blue either. a true steak connoisseur! their cocktails are also amazing as well! a great experience every time.

Fantastic Gourmet Dinner. I dine in great places regularly and have done for the past 2 decades, but this place Lomito has now got a spot on my top 10 Steak Houses. I was invited to a dinner with close friends during the week. This place location is great and parking is close by and easily available. We were allocated a great round table by the window. The entrance is wide and well lit with a great menu displayed at the front window. The ambience is simply stunning with a rustic style interior, great art, and home feel. The open style grill kitchen and the two levels make it really spacious. In addition, you can find private dining rooms, too. We were warmly welcomed by the General Manager Lara, who is an asset to the place. She treated us as well as the rest of the customers as her own personal guest, fantastic approach. Tables setting has a contemporary feel with high-end crockery and cutlery as well as glassesware and decor. Menus were concise and to the point, meat, meat, and more great meat. Special steak cuts, shared dishes and garnishes, and sides to die for. The same applies to the beverage list. The special selection of Argentinian wine is a great focus. The dishes are of exceptional quality, taste, presentation, texture, size, and flavour. We had an assortment of appetisers to share, tacos, sausages plater(beef, lamb, chicken, and pork) all freshly made on location. Grilled King prawns, empanadas, and great breadrolls with chimitchury sause. Steaks arrived promptly after the starters and were of exceptional taste, cooked to perfection. Dessert and digestives were also well selected classics but with a twist. Try Lara's special recipe Tiramissu, wow. This place simply captured me, concept, service, quality, location, ambience, value for money, and most importantly, the team led by Lara. Thank you sincerely! Can not wait to come back.

We visited Lomito for my son's 14th birthday. He’s a bit of a stake connoisseur and the team were so friendly and accommodating, he was able to speak with the chef and manager. They treated him like a VIP. The cocktails were awesome. My son’s stake was beautifully cooked, my highlight was the corn ribs, the sauce that came with them was rich and delicious. The Lomito team surprised us, when they sang happy birthday to my son’s.

Have been here a few times now and have never had a bad meal or bad service. Every time we have been welcomed warmly, seated quickly (pre-booked) and been given the time to relax and make our choices. The wine selection is good and well suited to this place (one bottle certainly makes a reappearance on each visit). But the star of the show are the steaks! Always cooked to perfection and are clearly of high quality. It's a must try if you haven't been.

Edited in September 2023. Current review after recent visit. Huge decline in both quality of food and service. The menu was the same but obviously more expensive. the wine was 5 times more expensive than in the shop. So you have below 10 pounds wine for about 60 here. I would have expected 2-3 times but not 5-6 times. Not attentive service, messed with the order, wrong desert. The meat (the only reason we came here) was over done by two degrees. Instead of medium rare we had little pinkish well done. They changed the plates to ordinary cheap ones and the plates were not very clean. The manager asking about the quality was not even listening to the answer. We just decided to let it go. Never again! ======================= My original review three yeas back, in 2020 was For last two years it is my family most favourite restaurant in Northwood. Very good meet. Service is quick and friendly. Staff is experienced. Good wine list! Listen to waiter's advice which meat is the best! ===============

Been here twice now, both for special occasions, and the food has been superb both times. One of the nicest steaks I've had in London. Excellent and prompt service too, plenty of staff. One minor thing I would say is the range of starters could be improved upon slightly, and also could really do with more than one beer on draft (only 1 choice isn't ideal). But other than that its hard to find any faults here. Top notch.

In celebration of my son's engagement, we chose Lomito Northwood to celebrate. The food was delicious, especially the ceviche appetizer and the empanadas, as well as the steaks and broccoli. The service was attentive and helpful without being distracting. All in all, we were very pleased with the establishment and glad to have celebrated together there.

Food and service first class, really lovely people working here. Best steak I’ve had in the UK and the banoffee pie was amazing. One of my favourite local restaurants and I look forward to my next visit. (Would not recommend if you are vegetarian)

Unfortunately, I have found that Lomitos has gone downhill in the past year or so. So I feel the need to write this review. - Gambas starter is more often than not over cooked and mushy. Almost certainly cooked from frozen. - Glazed pork belly starter - there are often many pieces that are just pieces of fat. Whilst pork belly is naturally a fatty meat, good quality pork belly is not like this. No respected restaurant should serve pieces of pure fat instead of proper pieces of pork belly. It is also weirdly dry and seems to have freeze burns on the meat. - The steaks are no longer presented prior to being ordered. Perhaps another example of Lomitos becoming complacent? - The chips are now soggy instead of crispy. Importantly - being predominantly a steak restaurant. Steaks should be of the highest quality. Unfortunately in recent experiences, we have had to send back incorrectly cooked steaks, and also steaks full of gristle. Unacceptable. There are positives of course. And The majority of the staff are amazing.

I’ve been coming here for years, it is a good spot. Recently I came twice in 2 weeks and it’s probably going to be my last for a while. On the first occasion a group of 6 of us ordered our steaks and out of the 6 only 2 were cooked right. Mines was well over cooked but it was scoffed down non the less, no problem, I let the lovely waitress know. When coming again because, because I do understand there can be off nights I thought why not try it again, 300g rib-eye, I told them last time the steak was not cooked right please please get this one right for me. My steak came and again not cooked to how I asked, as soon as the waiter saw he can see straight away. Their response is they are busy, I’m glad they are busy but you are a steak house and I am spending good money. For a premium place and you pay a premium price it’s not good enough. Can’t believe I am going to say this but my steak experience at miller & carter has been better recently.

We just returned from monaco where we stayed for 2 weeks and the food and service is outstanding here..

First time visiting this restaurant but had heard very good things. For starters I had the tacos which were delicious. In fact everyone enjoyed their starters! For mains we all went for the rib eye steaks. Couldn’t fault them. Perfectly cooked and tasted delicious. Service a bit slow between starters and mains. Too full for desserts. Will definitely return!

This is my second time at Lomito, Northwood. Its always a worry going back to a location you loved the first time in case it disappoints. I needn't have worried as it was fantastic. We were a party of 9 and all had the set lunch menu. The menu choices were good enough to keep everyone happy. I has a mushroom starter and salmon main. Both were exceptional and I will be ordering the same two courses next time. There were no delays and the waitress was brilliantly helpful and cheerful. Lomito Northwood gets a great big 10 out of 10. Thank you.

Beautiful lunch on a beautiful sunny day today. Lunchtime specials are great value. For £12 I had a steak baguette and fries. Huge portions of absolutely delicious food Please excuse the pun but the icing on the cake was the wonderful waitress Vicky. Very friendly and great service with a smile. Great ambience ,nicely arranged tables , comfortable sitting. As a drink we have ordered a bottle of Malbec Punta De Vacas, an Argentine red wine, We have opted for three course Lunch menus. For starters we have selected Empanada and Chorizo Pincho . We preferred cheese Empanada , a crispy pastry, taste good. Two pieces Chorizo served with salsa criolla , an Argentine salsa. Main course consisted with Grilled corn fed Chicken, a portion of chicken breast served with baby gem lettuce, parmesan, chipotle aioli(smoky spicy dip) mustard dressing , and The Lomito - classic rib steak sandwich with red pepper, chipotle ketchup and potato chips. Everything we ate were less spicy and very enjoyable. The portion was just right for the price they offer. We have finished our lunch with Churros, three pieces of sugar coated donut sticks with chocolate and dulce de leche dip. Quite disappointed with the churros since it was very soft in texture . Well behaved staff , prompt service.

Excellent steak restaurant, it was busy on a Monday night, food was delicious, service was good, we had a nice evening.

Fantastic steak & top service. We have been to Lomito a number of times as its local to us and it never failed us. This time we had the best friend of my wife and godmother of our son from abroad and Lomito was the first choice. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the experience was great despite been a busy Saturday evening. Everything that we ordered was cooked to perfection and to the individual needs and wad super tasteful. While to the cheapest place locally it offers quality that you havecto pay a lot more in the city. Looking forward to visit it again

Have been to this restaurant a few times and the food is always tasty The service is very good too. This not a great restaurant to visit if one is vegetarian as the choice is very limited. The mushroom starter was delicious as were the Churros.

Went for mother's day steak with in-laws. We were last guests to arrive that night. Excellent rib eye with good sides. And very good desserts. I must also commend the service which was very good and accomodating despite us arriving 45 mins before close of kitchen. I might just come again. Thanks!

Really nice good quality steaks, the ribeye was one of the best I’ve had, the fries were also lovely. The cocktails are also brilliant - I would go just for the tropical margarita which was a stand out for me. Reasonable prices too and nice chilled atmosphere, our waitress was also polite and very friendly.

A 5 star restaurant that serves the best steaks we've had in the UK. Great service too and knowledgeable staff. They don't rush you and we sat for quite a while chatting after or meal. All round, a lovely lovely eveningf out. Problem is, a week later we were hungry again! 😂

Visited as a guest in the private room on a Saturday lunchtime. The food was excellent - mainly steaks; perfectly cooked and presented. Service was first class; our waiter was very professional - friendly but unobtrusive. The only negative here was the horrid odour of drains, which permeated the air and quite spoilt the occasion. We did query it and were told nothing could be done as it was due to the rain. The main restaurant didn't seem to be affected though. I would visit again but NOT in the private back room!

Always have a lovely and positive experience at this restaurant. Steak is cooked perfectly with choice of 2 sides. Very rare to see a restaurant incl the options of 2 sides in the price which makes it very reasonbly priced.
