Excellent coffee. Still excellent coffee.

We had just arrived in Newport and noticed this coffee shop which was just next to the hotel that we were staying in. It has quite a spacious interior and some outside space. We enjoyed two good quality flat whites which cost £6.20.

Awesome coffee probably the best this side of the equator. Love all the staff and owner they are always very nice to me, I've drunk absolutely loads of coffee from hear never had a problem with one, also 5star hygiene rating so absolutely excellent, thankyou very much.

Every time we come into this coffee shop we get stared at and dirty looked by the manager and staff. I just sat down to feed my 3 month old baby before we decided what coffee to order and my sister pulled out a Greggs pasty. The manager then come over and started saying she ain’t allowed to bring Greggs in his coffee shop because ‘it’s not right’ when we spend a lot of money on coffee and sweet treats in this shop every week and was just about to order. All he had to do was simply ask her to put the pasty away but instead he chose to humiliate her infront of customers. Won’t be returning here again and will not be recommending this place to ANYONE

Shambles. A bit scruffy looking. Dirty toilets and dirty ashtrays on the outside table. Abrupt - borderline rude. Not really the standard I would expect from a city centre coffee shop.

Well what can I say, visited again today as I do on a regular basis and cannot give the actual girl serving anything but a 10/10 for her service. However the owner should be ashamed of himself as it was very busy and had to queue up for over 20 minutes. It was Saturday so you would naturally assume you would have at least 2 serving but this poor girl had to do everything from serving customers to cleaning all the tables alone. There was no one there to help, it was obvious she was struggling and could clearly tell she was asking the Manager for help when we were waiting but he clearly didn’t care and she came back out on her own to cope. If it had been me I would have quit on the spot and left him to it. The manager clearly doesn’t know how to manage the place and staff as I have seen her work alone before and it’s definitely a health and safety issue. Such a shame because this has happened so many times I will be going to go to a different coffee shop from now on whereby you can be served in a decent time and somewhere where the staff are looked after and appreciated. That place will definitely go under if he continues this way!

This trip was not great I wait over 30 minutes for a coffe and a sandwich I was most certainly not happy the employe was to busy chatting away with other coustumers so I was not happy about that!!!they wasn’t speaking to my with a nice tone it was more attitude!!

Excellent coffee ☕️. The best in Newport at this moment. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, good location in the centre of town. Highly recommended!

Decent coffee. Decent Aircon. Decent background music. Add to that the staff seem to know how to make a decent coffee and the prices are on a par with other high street espresso bars and I can't fault it.

I don't often leave a negative review, but my first experience here was definitely lack lustre. The server was nice but couldn't hear/understand anyone ordering and had no clear "order point" or "collection point", which made it awkward. Secondly, the older bald gentleman making my drink was on the phone the entire time and just shoved a drink toward the end with no indication as to what it was and whether it was mine, which was off-putting. Thirdly, I ordered a lemon cake topped with cream and lemon icing, the server put this in a bag and advised me "it'll be stuck to the top by the way"... So why offer it that way? Surely you can figure out a better plan that shoving it in and ruining a, quite frankly, pricey cake! Awful service and processes. I personally won't be going back as there are many better options in Newport, sadly I really had high hopes for this place. Positives; cafes decor is nice, quiet and the coffee tasted great.

Rude person serving. Coffee was good but won't use again

This has been my local coffee shop since opening in Newport. Recently their loyalty app stopped working and hasn't yet been fixed, which is fine. However, the barista is offering people with loyalty points a coffee (250 points) in exchange for a toastie's points (450 points) as the scan for a toastie is still working. This is really bad customer service and means that we no longer visit.

Went in for the first time today and ordered a frappe with coffee. Paid. While waiting the man making the drink is giving me a foul look. He then very rudely says "if you want coffee in your drink you have to pay for it". The girl taking my order clearly didn't realise she needed to add the coffee onto the price, but the man making the drink treated me as if it was my fault. Very disappointing and unprofessional.

My elderly friend and I visited yesterday for lunch. The coffee was bitter, the tea was very weak, and the toasted sandwiches at nearly 5 pounds each were awful. The bread was cheap white, thin and doughy. The toilet was scruffy and did not flush properly. All in all, not a very good experience, give this cafe a wide berth.

triple two is literally better than every cafe I've ever been to. their bakery and snacks are so well made, they are truly delicious and beautiful. the summer drinks are so refreshing, and the frappes are unique, and they taste amazing! totally recommend, I just wish there were more of these shops not just in Newport, since I am not from Wales. this place will always have a soft spot on my heart

Coffee and snacks are better than okay. I like it because it is a bigger place, with large windows which means there is a lot of natural light.

Triple Two was clean as always and the staff are always friendly. They even went to get extra skimmed milk for our coffees. They have a varied menu for food and drinks although the food can be a bit on the expensive side.

Lovely coffee shop, great vegan options too, including 2-3 savoury items, 2-3 cakes. Savoury items change quite often to so it's not the same every time you go in. Loads of different milk alternatives and dairy free cream. Dog friendly as wel and the staff are fabulous! Would have given 5 stars but the toilet really is too small for wheelchairs and the tap and toilet handles wobble.

I really hope that animal lovers read this . my wife and myself were having a very standard coffee outside this place .a few disabled pigeons landed at our feet ...poor loves .some had feet missing and stumps to walk on ,heartbreaking to see .one had wire wrapped around his ankle so I felt compelled to try to help .a young waitress with glasses and dark hair came out hitting disabled birds with a broom .I was horrify that someone could be so cruel to a animal in distress .this waitress then was aggressive with myself and my wife because I said to her don't be so cruel have a heart .I really hope that the owner sacks her and animal lovers call her to account for her actions .thanks for reading. I am a regular at triple two Newport,usually staff are pleasant and very helpful,good coffee,atmosphere, today Saturday 9th Oct I turned up usual time 8.30 to get my regular late ,the visit was horrendous ,there was one customer in front of me who had been served and was chatting to duty manager for around 25 mins, while I stood there waiting, no greeting, no coffee, just waiting for duty manager to stop talking and serve me, it went on, so I left returning later, still the served customer was there chatting to her, eventually I was served ,but no apology for situation. She mentioned when I expressed my concern ,its called customer service i do the same for you, which is not true.All customers should be treated same. I am now considering whether to change my coffee shop and go somewhere where my custom is appreciated as I spend in triple two an average of £42 per week, and there every day,

Coffee is very good here, go can taste the difference from other places instantly. Lovely looking place, comfy seating and plenty of it. Staff seem very nice, I will prob work on my laptop here a fair bit. 👌

My partner and I have a coffee date here most weekends, we love it. Great coffee, always perfectly made with some great latte art each time! Super friendly staff.

Outdoor area is strewn with litter, sugar packets and the like. Such a shame. I chose to go elsewhere for coffee.

If you like a real coffee,try 222 coffee. The menu has a unusual coffee selection, including turmeric coffee. Worth a visit.

Covid restrictions felt not to be followed correctly, felt uncomfortable waiting for my drink with so many people around, I loved the vibe of the coffee shop, just felt there was a lack of thought from the management on that Loved my coffee !

New store, friendly staff. Nice and clean inside, lots of variety of food and drinks. Omg in love with their espresso brownies. Definately going to make this my regular coffee place. Prices are a bit high, but then most coffee places are nowadays, but i think their quality of food and drinks are better than Costa/Starbucks and Cafe Neros. Seriously, try their chicken caesar wrap, it tastes so fresh, lovely and has creamy sauce. Their app is similar style to costa, in that you earn points with your purchases, to get free drinks ect. Cannot pay directly via the app either. Barring that, no issues whatsoever. I say if you want a nice coffee or to treat yourself, choose this coffee shop. Oh, it is a wheelchair accessible entrance, and i have asked - they allow well behaved dogs :)

Bought a small Americano and asked for how many shots. Only one shot in a 8oz cup for the same price of a small Americano in Costa 12oz. The cup also leaked so I ended with the coffee on my hand.

I have been using this cafe for well over 30 years, during this time it has had a number of facelifts. In it's current guise it is a bright and airy establishment, unfortunately the owners have tried to fit to many covers into the place, this means that there are problems for wheelchair users and those who are using pushchairs. There is an excellent range of food on the menu, most of which appears to be individually cooked, the service is quick and courteous, considering that most food appears to be freshly cooked. This cafe is perfectly situated for those who use public transport.

A popular cafe near the bus station, has lots of different breakfast deals to choose from. Also does meals, roast dinners and pensioners specials. I had a bacon sandwich which was very nice, prices very reasonable and owner very friendly.
