(Now called The Corner Cafe) We made the mistake of assuming that Saxmundham would have lots of lovely little cafes like the other towns nearby. It doesn't - this seemed to be pretty well the only place open on a Tuesday (the Bell nearby is currently closed for refurbishment). It's a fairly basic cafe, on the plus side portions are large and food is freshly made. Lots of white bread and chips and basic salad. Staff were pleasant enough but service so so. As we left at 2.20 we heard the door close firmly behind us although the cafe was in theory open for another 40 minutes. If you're looking for somewhere to eat out I recommend going to a different town.

I come in here most days for breakfast or lunch, always get a pleasant welcome from all the staff. Karen and Stella who own it have Zoe, Vicki, Abbi and Jacqui who are all great ambassadors for this little cafe and that makes it by far the best cafe in Saxmundham by a country mile. Here you get top quality breakfasts/lunches, all cooked to order and nicely presented, homemade soups are available together with homemade cakes, sausage rolls, scones and other delights, check what's available when you visit. There are cheaper places in Sax but you don't get the quality that Trinitys offer. The menu isn't set in stone so you can change, add or amend anything to suit your requirements. At busy times you may experience a slightly longer wait but this is because it's all cooked to order, nothing prepacked here, (well ok, maybe the lattice potatoes), but everything else is locally sourced wherever possible and is cooked to perfection. Trinitys is well worth a visit if you're in town, a recent addition is the ability to pay by credit/debit card. Stella and Karen have run this place for about 6 years, previous owners have come and gone after only a few months so these ladies must be doing something right. They have succeeded where others have failed miserably. Give them a try, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

A good start to the day - traditional cooked breakfast cooked to order. Clearly popular with local people, 2 of whom came in at different times while I was there and just ordered "the usual" which came with no further query. Prompt service, friendly staff, bright, clean cafe, good choice of breakfasts, light meals, sausage rolls, cheese scones etc.

We popped in here for breakfast last Saturday on the way home after attending the Latitude music festival. I seriously doubt you could find a more warming , engaging, conversational , authentic, pleasing welcome at any Cafe in the UK. The two ladies running the show should start a business of advising others on how easy it is to provide AAA customer service. The food was fresh, well cooked and presented and extremely well priced. The flat white coffee was so good I ordered a second. Would definitely recommend a visit if you happen to be passing through Saxmundham at any stage.

My wife and I visited this morning. The proprietor was very helpful and gave us some helpful advice as to what to visit in the area. We had coffee and I had a lovely sausage bap. Looking at what else was on offer there seemed to be a poor selection of scones and cakes if you just wanted a coffee and a cake. Otherwise a very pleasant experience.

A little dog friendly treat after a walk. A lovely little cafe that was very busy with lots of people popping in to pick up their lunch. The staff were very friendly to us and our dog, and new all the locals and their orders off by heart. They gave our dog a little dish of bacon aswell, while I had a cheese and bacon scone. Warmed up with butter it was very nice. I haven't seen cheese and bacon scones in many places so will have to look out for more around. Would highly recommend, the breakfasts also looked very very good.

Absolutely brilliant! Fantastic prices and the food is outstanding. It’s hot and fresh. Their meat is locally sourced and fresh. The staff are what really makes this place! The girls there are so lovely. As a family we are always a little weary going into somewhere to eat due to having a 3 year old that always wants to run around and play and also having a 5mth old who always wants to be in someone’s arms! The staff offered our 3 year old toys to play with and our baby a high chair so we could eat properly. Something no other place has really done. I always feel like children are a burden on places like this but the girls at trinity’s have restored my faith. When it came to paying, they were more interested in holding our baby than taking my money. They are all really down to earth and very easy and lovely to chat with. This place is small but the quality of food out weighs that! Waiting time on food I would say was no longer than anywhere else if you were waiting on cooked breakfast and a bacon roll. I will also be recommending this place to my friends and family but more importantly my ambulance service colleagues! We do love some good food! Thank you trinity’s for making us so welcome after having Just moved to saxmundham aswell!

Confession - we only came here because our favourite lunch place (the Deli) was closed on a Monday...but we are delighted that we did. A bijou cafe (cafette?) but a 'sandwich' (really so much more, you just have to give it a go to see what I mean) which was on lovely bread, marvellous bacon /Brie / cranberry sauce with the coleslaw and crisp trimmings - very, very good. Especially after an impromptu walk around Sax (oh dear, found an alleyway, always an enticement, and ended up dragging Himself across a whole lot of fields - OK for me in walking boots, not so good for Him in Proper Shoes!) which was a lot longer than originally planned. But that's what Sax is like - both in walks and in lovely eateries like Trinity's, there's always a lot more to be discovered and enjoyed than you expect. This is a great place for lunch (and from the looks of things, breakfast) - just watch out you have cash. (I didn't, but scampered across the road to nearby cash machine, leaving Himself as insurance.)

Called in for late breakfast as we know the food is good and staff very friendly, but we waited for just short of an hour before we got our 2 slimmers breakfasts and 1 ham eggs and chips. They managed to serve some young work men who were waiting for there mates to turn up first, (they were obviously more regular than us) but we had to go and put more money in the car park meter as our hour only had 10mins left. No excuse or apology given to explain the wait until we were leaving just sorry for the wait!? Very disappointing customer service. When talking to my sister later they too had been in earlier and had a long wait as well for no apparent reason. Nice small coffee house in a quiet back street away from the main road in Saxmundham. A shame the outside tables are right by a parking space, as the view would be improved with a terrace or decking instead of the parking space - something that happens a lot outside continental cafés. Pull off the main A roads on your travels for recharging here!My review starts with a story - bear with me. After a long drive, car full of hungry parents and kids we turned off the A road into a small village. We stumbled into Saxmundham and parked up right outside Trinity's thinking it looks like a great place for a pitstop. In distracted holiday-Dad-mode we ended up locking ourselves out of the car. Wife and I still disagree on who was to blame. But anyway, the staff and owners of Trinity's not only took us in, they also sought help of locals to remedy our predicament! When we knew we could be on our way again we started to relax and enjoyed an excellent brunch. You could tell the sausages were well selected/sourced, but also the coffee was the best we had had in England (coming from France instant coffee is a real let down - not here). It's very seldom you get to have poached eggs as an option either.Needless to say the key situation was a real ice-breaker, as if one was needed here. We rested for a good hour to laugh about it and got to see locals come and go, share conversation and the passing of time with each other. We also shared our mealtime with the owner and kind and attentive staff (isn't it good to see owners/staff eating their own food?). It was a chance to see that our predicament and reaction to it was only a symptom of a really nice community. For a moment we were lucky to be part of it.So if, like us, your idea of travel is to absorb yourself, even if momentarily, in your surroundings by experiencing and sharing time with local, kind and genuine people (while not being disappointed with the food!), this is just what you need. We'll certainly be popping by again! Thank you!

Saxmundham is the land that time forgot and Trinity's ought to be as well. Unremarkable place, unremarkable food, and unremarkable service. The waitress sat at a table eating her lunch bellowing across the room to another local about unremarkable things. Vegetable soup on the menu that was Heinz tomato soup with half a tin of mixed veg lumped on the top. 2 fried eggs and ham with lattice potatoes straight from the freezer bag to oven tray. Nothing was exactly bad, but equally nothing was well.....remarkable or memorable. I've forgotten about the place already! Best thing really.

My 12 year old son and I popped in here for a breakfast treat when the ladies of the household had gone off shopping in Norwich. The staff were pleasant and chatty and very interested in our views on what food they might sell in the future. We had the sausage, bacon and egg baps which were perfectly sized and cooked. They took a while to arrive but the staff were apologetic explaining that everything was cooked fresh, which you'd be daft to complain about. Only downside was I'd finished my tea by the time the food arrived and a bacon bap isn't the same without builder's tea to wash it down. Would be good to auto top up any customers without a drink when the food arrives (I can see it would be a problem if it was published policy as people would stay drinking free tea or coffee all day, but they could play it by ear). This isn't a complaint just a suggestion, our experience there was very good on the whole.

Stopped here for a quick bite after the drive to Saxmundham. Very warm welcome and no problem with seating. However, the food was rather slow in coming due too or communication with the kitchen we were told. Good choice but nothing really special. It could of been a lot nicer with a better choice of bread. The rolls were rather stodgy.

Good food, friendly staff, clean, sensible prices. What's not to like. This is just what a small town cafe/tea room should be.

After moving to Saxmundham three months ago I was delighted to find Trinity Cafe situated just off the main high street. The food is excellent, the staff friendly and welcoming- the best cafe for miles around. Highly recommended and definitely worth a visit. Wishing the owners many happy and successful years and I will see you for another fantastic breakfast soon.

Nice warm welcome, well cooked breakfast, nice quality ingredients and nicely presented. Shame there is no facility to pay on your card and no loo's ~ there are some round the corner off the carpark though.Would like to go back for coffee and cake next time. Looks delicious!

What a find this place was for two weary travellers at seven thirty this morning! The two owners could not have been any more welcoming and the breakfast roll/bap/barmcake (depending on which of us ordered!) could not have been any nicer. Could not recommend the place more.

We arrived in the hope of getting some soup and a roll or possibly a jacket potato just before 3pm. We were told that we would only be able to have a sandwich. What sort of tea room closes at 3pm?We had a tea/coffee and a cheese sandwich and as we left the lady was turning the sign to say 'closed'.

Popped in with a mate both had bacon sandwiches and even though I usually like my bacon crispier it was very nice full of flavour and certainly filled me up. My friend had hisbon toasted bread and also very much enjoyed his as much as I did. Both had a mug of tea which was also very nice. First time visit would definitely recommend and go back myself.

Great to see the new management have really hit the ground running. Had the breakfast (tradesmans) all very tasty (proper butcher sausages not the cheap tasteless catering sort). My wife had the soup again great flavours. Excellent customer service. See you again soon!

Recently stayed at The Bell in Saxmundham and whilst walking around the village, for lunch we popped in the Trinity at 14 Cafe. Apparently under new management and a very enjoyable experience it was. The staff were very friendly and and the food was really nice. Just like another review, we also had the quiche and a fruit scone, washed down with a few cups of tea. Best wishes to the new owners as I'm am sure it will be a big success. We would recommend visiting this Cafe.

We popped into the cafe for a lite lunch and had the home made quiche which was very tasty followed by a piece of home made chocolate cake, delicious, washed down by a proper pot of tea(tea leaves). Reasonably priced food with friendly staff. We will definitely pop in again when in the area! Also loved to see the fresh flowers on the window sills, a nice touch

We were recommended to go to the cafe saying food is good! We waited 10 minutes for a table of 4, staff are friendly and even though they were busy but food and drinks come out efficiently and they were very tasty! Certainly will come again!

Sorry to say it was the worst breakfast I've had in the cafe. But if I pay £15.10 for coffee and full English I expect the highest standards. Bacan was so bad I couldn't even eat it. The picture says it all. Who would serve a customer food that looks like that. Lovely staff but all they did was apologised for the drop in standards.
