An amazing little cafe! We were served by a really friendly Italian guy who made delicious coffee and hot chocolate! Cakes looked delicious, too! There's a few seats inside, but the rest are outside.

The photos that are shown are deceptive. The tent covering was removed & the ground area wasn't covered & now becomes a mud hole. Most of the containers which again were depicted as being painted & inviting to customers on the face of it look like a Recycling Centre ( visitor asked me if it was). Nearly all the business are closed most of the week with the Tasty Greek being the only one open 7 days a week. Here you will get the most delicious coffee in Carlisle. You can also get a piping hot toasty here. I understand that the "Tent" is not going to be replaced for the winter, leaving customers to plod through muddy puddles & eat their food under small umbrellas on wet seats. Definitely not the Dream "Tribe" we were promised & shown in the promotional photos PS there's a rumour that the businesses are being forced to close about 3 days even if they want to stay open.

Nice area of food outlets ranging from ice cream to Lebanese Street to pasta and coffee shops and bars. Seating area and bins. It's covered over in the winter months.

Tasty, tasty tacos, well there's great snacks available from more than one source, and that outdoors "vibe" just makes it. The roof's off for summer so it's refreshingly airy.

(LGBT Stand) Food was ok but the wait was unbelievable, took 30 minutes to cook a hot dog and its not like they were busy. Watched them chatting away to each other having a giggle not getting anything done. Disappointed with service.

Great meeting place for family and friends. You can get a pint or glass of wine or just grab a coffee. Theres food/drink for any and everyone even down to treats and ice cream for your dogs! It's always a really lovely atmosphere. The staff behind the bar are lovely and helpful. There are different foods to choose from including Greek food. It is now undercover and there are also toilets available. The only thing I would say is it can get quite crowded and they could do with some more seating but then there is only. So much space tbf. Definitely recommend a trip down there and it's right at Bitt's Park which is great if you've got kids with you. Great little place, love it ππ

Absolutely fantastic place! Was recommended this by our host at the Airbnb we were staying at as we had just arrived in the city & were looking for a dog friendly place to eat & drink....& it was a good call. Family & Dog friendly, excellent food (we went for Lebanese street food), nice beer....A very friendly, inclusive & non judgemental atmosphere...terrific vibe...& a great DJ /entertainer playing soul/funk music. Brilliant night!! If we have the pleasure of coming to this fine city again will definitely come back!! xx β€ xx

The staff was lovely but the place needs serious cleaning, kitchen showed to busy with flies of which were partly taken care of by fly paper strips which was coloured black with the amount on there. My grandmother had an egg mayo which had a hair in and I found myself with a fly in the bottom of my coffee. Overall awful experience

My first visit to The Halston to celebrate two friends big birthdays. We'd pre booked and reserved a table a while ago, as it's very popular. We were at the Bartons Yard end of the hotel. Entrance was via reception to ensure that those people having afternoon tea were not disturbed by hotel and bar footfall. The staff were superb and very helpful. They were also very thorough, ensuring there were no allergies. It was a Festive themed afternoon tea. We started with finger sandwiches and soup, followed by sweet and savoury mini treats. Tea and coffee were included, with fizz as an optional extra. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the ample offerings. The presentation and attention to detail were exquisite. We finished off with drinks in the hotels Penny Blue Restaurant. I would definitely consider attending again. If there's a member of your group with allergies or the menu is just not their bag, discuss other options so you don't feel as though you have to miss out. You will be accommodated. There are good facilities at the hotel, and it's accessible. There's a car park next to the hotel Β£1 per hour, pay on departure, so no clock watching. The hotel is also only a few minutes' walk from the bus station, railway station and various routes bus stops.

The Wellington Inn and Caravan Park.. Is such a quaint and cosy Inn..friendly staff. Delicious food.. The Seasonal Pie was something else, home made and perfect . The Wellington Burger was superb too .and the puddings ..home made. The jam roly poly was absolutely delicious as was the banana split..and not overly priced either. They sell hand pulled Bitter and a good selection of Gins and other Spirits. The Caravan Park.very quiet. beautifully maintained .
