Come for the chips alone!! Off the beaten track, small, local pub with a very warm welcome, some great local beers and outstanding food. The standard of cooking was excellent and the portion sizes were very generous. Everything was very tasty, with really nice quality ingredients, but the star of the show were the chips... exactly like your mum used to make. Highly recommended if you're in the area. You can book ahead to avoid disappointment.

A very small rural pub. It's not a tourist pub, but the welcome is warm. The opening hours are not regular. When they are open, the open at 5.30pm until late. They do open Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and maybe one or two others during the week.

Very nice indeed. The event I attended was very well catered for.

We were staying on the High Hall Farm campsite and wanted to sample some local food and atmosphere. We decide to go to the Blue Bell Inn. Food was fantastic and we loved the portions sizes. Proper home made food, delicious. We also enjoyed a game of pool which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Malcolm and Jane provide the perfect environment for a family gathering or an intimate meal for two. The premises are COVID secure and the service is second to none.The food is of the highest quality and great value. Jane is an excellent chef. Malcolm mans the bar and is the perfect host making you feel welcome from the moment you walk through the door. I cannot recommend their establishment highly enough.

Good old fashioned English pub with good and plentiful food. We have visited on a few occasions and the comments are always relevant. Nice to see a village pub still thriving.

Proper traditional pub with good jukebox. Shame they only do Guinness in cans (especially at £3.60 a pint!) but otherwise good place

Este es un pub tradicional y agradable en una ubicación hermosa totalmente virgen en la zona North Pennines de extraordinaria belleza natural. La comida era deliciosa, como las bebidas. Nos encantó la bola azul del siglo 18 justo en la calle. Muy antiguo con un montón de características de época. El minúsculo bar se encuentra en el centro del pub. Fascinante. La casera y la gente local es muy amable y el Rev james ale en el formulario. Pubs como este son una raza muriendo y muy difícil de encontrar por favor ir probarlo

Estábamos en nuestro camino a Robin Hoods Bay con algunos visitantes australianos y decidimos entrar Malton para una comida ligera, como habíamos reservado una cena en nuestro destino.Fuimos al Blue Bell Inn y preguntó acerca de la comida. Nos dijeron que estaban sirviendo la comida, luego nos dijeron que era sólo el almuerzo de domingo. Vimos el menú que dice cuánto entrantes eran y platos principales, etc., así que pensamos todos a un entrante cada uno y un par de copas. Es una pena que una persona ignorante que está dispuesto a doble bar lejos de negocios! Su pérdida.

Needed an easy Saturday bar meal and pint. Wife went for seabass and I took the scampi. Doombar and landlord drinks with great deserts. Perfect food at good prices in a perfect quiet town pub. Recommended.

Lost contar cuántas veces he visitado el Blue Bell ya que descubrir en el 2004. Excelente comida y ambiente el jueves por la noche cuando mi hijo y yo nos paran en las cercanías por la noche en el camino de vuelta de Irlanda. Para los seguidores de los ciclistas del Tour de Gran Bretaña (fase 5) será pasando por el 10 de septiembre y el Blue Bell sería un punto privilegiado para comer, beber y disfrutar del ciclismo.

Staying in nearby Cumrew, this little gem of a pub has friendly staff, great choice of food both meat and vegetarian dishes cooked by the landlady. it's how a country pub should be. As Arnie said: "i'll be back!"
