I would rate 7.3 out of 10. Chips lacked salt and vinegar for my liking, although was taken away and eaten elsewhere so due to 'transit time' this made the fish less crispy. Would return in 2-3 months once the grease has settled in my stomach. : )

Had breakfast with the family this morning, excellent service, very accommodating. The food was hot and quick to be served with plentiful portions. Would highly recommend popping in for breakfast.

Arrived at 7:40 to get some fish and chips and was greeted with a locked door and shaking heads to say they were shut. Couldn't even tell me in person. Why advertises your open until 8 if your shut at twenty to?

I used to go there for my meals the damn delicious and the duke carryouts as well my favorite was fishing chips and mushy peas you can buy anything there long as you're going to eat it I was a few different different meals I like staff of friendly they do talk to you even the owner good crack there you don't know what you're missing

Just had the worst portion of chips ever - warmed up, burnt and hard. As for the fish it was full of bones. Shocking to think they charged money for this!

It's a great chip shop and always has been. Same owners many years and they know what they are doing.

Very friendly and allowed us to bring dog in out of rain whilst having breakfast. Dog even got a free sausage.

By the way....I just discovered this place by accident.... Chippy and hot rolls and breakfast.... 👍👍👍 Just had 2 cheeseburgers and a coffee...£7.50....but when I walked in I didn't realise it was a.chippy....so was a bit gutted I ordered 2 burgers but they have me a small portion of chips free.....how nice is that... And they were bloody excellent lol they even do haggis At the chippy bit 👍👍 I'm not a local....I review everywhere I go

I seem to be reviewing every place I've eaten....but the good news for you is I'm really pickie. This is another gem in the snack/ meal crown. Proper fish and chips. Also sandwiches, cakes, soft and hot drinks. They've just got it all.

Really disappointed, toastie, was not crispy on the outside and scrimpped on the cheese filling. Visited everytime we are in Carlisle, but will not be back.

Excellent fish and chips not too much and not greasy. For a change try their steak pie with gravy, it is lovely. The staff are very friendly and always give you a warm welcome.

Lovely first time I have tried and will be back

Decided to go here for a sandwich. I understand that's not the restaurants main thing but if it's offered then I would like to have it for decent quality. Establishment is shabby and inside feels cheap and carpets are not clean. Seating is uncomfortable. Sandwich (cheese savoury) legit made me feel sick. Giving 2 stars out of the fact it seems struggling and the staff were okay. I would not recommend here considering there are many other better places around here.

ordered two "Big Breakfasts" and one fish & chips with mushy peas, plus three 500ml Diet Cokes, to eat in the diner - total: £21 for three people - value for money - tasty food - good portions - would go back again.
