First time here, good food and very good service

Ordered food at 1:10pm we sat and watched other customers order and get their food before us, after asking staff where our food was they said it would be another 5 minutes in total we waited over 30 minutes for our food, the couple next to us were fed up of waiting to be served so up and left. upon paying at the till I questioned the time we waited to be told they had a new member of staff, the guys are rude and said “where does it say food is served in 5 minutes” would not recommend the whole place is a shambles. Stay clear.

Superb coffee and standard breakfast is great. Good food, good service, good prices. Staff are all super friendly.

Perfect sized portions and the quality of food was good. I don't know what was going on with the floor though as it was slippery as hell!!

One of the best cafes ive been to, the staff are lovely and i go every Tuesday to get the bacon and sausage baguette, its the best one around

This establishment is probably overlooked as it could be classed as a greasy spoon, or something more akin to a truckstop and therefore not really targeted at the affluent Lymington yachty set. However, it's their loss as we often have breakfast here. It's outstanding and the staff are great. They work really hard and deliver good quality basic food quickly.

I come her when I am working in the area and the doors are allways open if it's hot and I have never seen a fly there yet.the staff are amazing and allways willing to go the extra mile if they can .I have never had a problem with food , service etc and they are a well oiled team .

I was really disappointed.... I never do reviews normally but I felt I had to say something. I came here with my mum and there was a funny smell inside. Not sure the place is very clean. I ordered a jacket potato which came out hard and completely cold. They took so long to correct it then told me that they couldn't do another one as oven was broken so I ordered a prawn baguette... it must have been prepared on the same chopping board as my mums coronation chicken was prepared as the prawn baguette had pieces of coronation chicken stuck at the bottom of the baguette. They should be using clean chopping boards not preparing chicken and seafood on the same chopping boards. There was a very unhygienic atmosphere here, a bad smell and flies by the window where we were sat. I still had to pay for my meal nothing was substituted after my wait which I thought was wrong my mumhad eaten her meal before I got mine. The prawn baguette was not too nice and I had a poorly tummy the same night. I'll avoid this place in future

On entering the cafe was somewhat uninspired, but I have to say I was VERY pleasantly surprised!! Lovely maxi grill(which I also have to say was nice and hot) my wife had fish&chips,along with a cold drink,followed by a cream tea and two hot drinks all for around £32 really good value for money🥓🍳🥓🍟☕🥤

The food is basic, good food. Never had a bad meal. The breakfasts and baguettes are my favourites. The staff are the best part of this cafe. So helpful and friendly.

Brilliant Breakfast, Amazing Value

We visit here everytime we are in Lymington! Super value and quality food! Normally stop for breakfast on our biker trips, this week we went for paninis and chips as more brunch time, had ham, cheese & pineapple / Bacon and Brie WOW!! Lovely food, good portion sizes, best in town in our opinion, don't look anywhere else.... 😋

Food was alright but the male staff was quite intimidating. When my husband and I entered the cafe we were told we can sit wherever we want with the female staff telling us to go up stairs. There was only one table left, 4 seater. We ordered and our drinks arrived not long after. Then a set of customers came in looking for a table but the female staff apologised as they can't be accommodated. So they all went down stairs. Few moments after this male staff came to speak to us suggesting we transfer to a nearby table for two which unfortunately was dirty at that time so they can accommodate the others who just came in. We had to pick up our cutleries and drinks and transfered tables, my husband even told the male staff "You can't let us sit on that table it's not even clean." That when the staff went to get something to wipe the table. It just went down hill after that. The same staff did the same thing to two other couples making them sit with strangers so they can accommodate a bigger crowd. Service can be improved and table seating plan can be executed better. Weren't just us who experienced the same treatment.

Very good value, and generous. The man who runs it is lovely, and clearly cares about the place. Not fancy, but perfect as it is.

Our personal favourite place to eat when visiting Lymington, it has a fantastic range of food and drink. Also it's dog friendly.

Very disappointed with fish &Chips takeaway. Fish was burned and melted lid of box, chips hard, peas was like just defrosted. Never seen something like this.

Nice little cafe and take away in Lymington High Street. Not French as the name would suggest but has a good basic British café food menu with plenty of gluten free options. Coffee was good but the pot of tea had a cheap and weak tea bag which let the excellent all day breakfast down. Quick service, good prices, friendly staff.

Lovely hot food presented well on hot plates , excellent service delivered with a smile and very reasonable prices . We ate there several days enjoying their full English inclusive breakfast

Staff nice only had a coffee an aa snack but very nice will go again when in leamington 👍

Such a great find, been trying to find a cheap and cheerful cafe since moving to hants from London. Quick, friendly service and a gorge veggie breakfast. Decor and vibe sent me back home- non-pretentious and perfect for a fry up. Will be back!

Brilliant service and Great good

Had a veggie breakfast which came with a 'veggie patty' rather than the classic veggie sausages, but it was very nice and complemented my scrambled eggs and fried bread perfectly! Sadly hash browns do not come with the breakfast as standard but you can add one on for an additional pound. Overall a very good breakfast: service was very fast and friendly, would recommend!

The best breakfast you can get in the area. Wouldn't bother going anywhere else... Tres bon is your go-to. Perfectly cooked food with great pricing.

Excellent food very reasonably priced and extremely friendly staff with great service.

Scruffy decor, generally untidy and would benefit from a top to bottom clean and redecoration. This isn’t the sort of place you would expect to find in Lymington and we certainly won’t be going back. The reason I didn’t give one star is because the milk shake was nice.

Fantastic service, food is excellent, its fast, its fabulous...staff are wonderful. During the week I often go to get my boss's lunch, during this hot weather I'm always asked if I'd like a glass of water whilst I wait..... Highly recommended!

Delicious! We visited this cafe having been before and I know of lots of local eateries in the area, but this one offers good value for money, tasty food and a faff-free walk-in service. Very impressed, the staff are friendly and welcoming and will seat you at a table in this small and cosy, old Tudor style building for the cafe. They serve a massive selection of food which is great, including breakfast, baguettes, main meals and also sides. They even have a wide variety of good value desserts to try! Toilets are available and clean and you can easily pay for your food when you leave. I enjoyed my visit with my partner and will certainly return as soon as possible! See below: homemade lasagne and prawn baguette with a pot of tea! I recommend the homemade lasagne special as the portion size was excellent and garnished with salad and chips! Wow!

Saw a sign just outside that read "best breakfast in Lymington" and it is! Bacon was the most delicious I've had. All cooked quickly and plenty off. Will definitely visit again when I'm in the area.

Great place for a quick bite, good service

Went in this morning for breakfast (18/7/2021). Friendly greeting at the door and shown straight to a nice clean table socially distanced from the others. We ordered our breakfasts which came out on nice hot plates and piping hot. Food was fresh and tasty and the eggs had runny yolks which was lovely. You could tell it was all cooked to order and done with care as there wasn't any grease in sight. Plenty of fresh, buttered toast too. Friendly staff and extremely reasonably priced good food make this a perfect go to any time of the day.

Popped in on our last day in Lymington for a breakfast before our journey home. Actual cafe is unassuming but clean and tidy. Staff are polite and efficient. Breakfast - plenty of it and really well cooked plus a good price. Highly recommend.

Really disappointed by the fish and chips to takeaway, menu said it would be coming with peas, salad and tartar sauce but there was none of that.

Amazing choice of food, good Covid safety arrangements, friendly staff, reasonable prices, clean toilets, and noticed seating and toilets are disabled friendly. Will return!
