Trelowarren Arms in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

First time of visiting the Trelowarren Arms as we are not local to this area. Excellent food and great service (young barmaid was very polite) and would have no hesitation returning again or recommending to others. Very popular pub so I would suggest booking in advance.

Delightful pub, great food and a very warm welcome. We were a group of 12 walkers, so not able to be precise as to arrival time but this did not pose a problem. We were served very promptly with the food arriving at the same time. Highly recommended, thank you!

Fabulous lunch and a few drinks, made all the better by the wonderful waitress. Will come again and highly recommend this delightful village pub

Visited the pub on a couple of occasions while staying not too far away . My husband said the Guinness was 10/10 , we didn’t eat but the food looked really good . Staff all very friendly and it has a lovely atmosphere. We will definitely return and book to eat 😊

What I requested as a sweet they didn’t have on their menu, the waitress must of mentioned it to the chef & did one specially for me which was a ‘knickerbocker glory’ which quite frankly the best Iv ever had, fabulous, thanks so much really appreciated it x

Had Sunday lunch here with friends. Live in the village and always heard that the Sunday roast was good. Three of us had the standard size and my wife had the small roast. All excellent. Large helpings of beautiful meat (I had pork and beef) . Also plenty of nice vegetables. I am not a roast person but this was the best. Good quality beef and pork. And I used to be a butcher 🙂 Slightly splint by two of the deserts were fruit crumble. The fruit was good but the crumble on top was really poor. Also the request for hot custard failed because it arrived barely warm. Shame. Still give it five stars though. Highly recommend.

Seven of us went here for Sunday Roast and the service and food was very good. Our Waitress greeted us and took our drink and food orders in a timely fashion. All of us ordered the roast which was delicious. The meat was cooked to perfection and there was plenty of it. The meal came with a large portion of very tasty potatoes and vegetables. I loved the atmosphere of the pub and you could tell it was a local favorite. We’ll be sure to stop in for Sunday Roast next time we’re visiting Falmouth.

Had a 3pm booking ....all very friendly and efficient. Lovely servers and well looked after. Really good Sunday lunch...pork was well cooked and great to have the crispy crackling served seperately ! We only had the small lunch at £12.50p and we couldn't finish it...lots of excellent veg and loved the roasties and cauliflower cheese . We have just come back from a week near the trelowarren went there every night great place friendly locals and great food bar staff very busy but amazing people had a great time including the quiz one night and bingo another we’ll be back

Had a takeaway Sunday Lunch and it was amazing! The Trelly offers the best Sunday Lunch I’ve ever had, including my own. Plenty of meat, veg and potatoes. Probably enough for two but what can I say. I don’t like sharing.

Friendly staff, amazing meal, very welcoming and a cosy atmosphere. Family & dog friendly. Really lovely food and affordable would highly recommend checking this place out if your visiting budock water in Falmouth.

Visited with my children. Such a warm and friendly welcome from the moment you enter the pub until the second you leave. All staff were very happy and chatty with you and nothing was too much trouble. We visited on a Sunday so had roast dinner. My children aren't overly keen on roast but they ate the lot....shows how amazing the food was....delicious. would highly recommend this pub whether its for food or just a drink. The atmosphere is lovely and you feel very welcome. We will certainly be back.

The food was lovely, can’t fault the roast at all - I have coeliac disease and a dairy intolerance and was given a really amazing roast option in spite of it. However. This was our Easter Sunday meal. The atmosphere was terrible from the get-go as the female manager on shift this day had clearly decided we’d booked the wrong day (which she didn’t mention on arrival) and then essentially thought she was clearly doing us a favour by even being there. An hour into the meal, another family comes in and we’re told we are on their table, promptly sitting next to us, and then loudly exclaiming how annoying it was to have to wait for us to finish. Around ten minutes later, we’re approached by said-manager, being told that we have ten minutes to leave and if we wanted, we could go sit in the back crusty games room for a coffee (at this point we hadn’t even finished our dessert). At no point was it mentioned that we were given a “slot” to eat our meal, and again at no point was it mentioned that they thought we’d booked the wrong day. It was when we declined the offer of the games room brew, that the lady then decided to let us know that she had done us a favour by letting us eat there, and that they had apparently a “large turnover” despite half of the tables being empty, I don’t know if she was just feeling a bit petty, but it was terrible service, and an unpleasant ending to what would have been a great Easter Sunday. Thank god for The Ferryboat Inn and Red Lion where we will choose to continue going in the future, (it is also important to add; when we booked a few WEEKS ago, we made it clearly that it was EASTER SUNDAY, so it was not a fault on our end for the booking, but theirs.)

The Trelly Sunday Lunch is the best for miles. I knew it would be busy but Anna kindly sorted me out with a takeaway roast. It was gorgeous! Very generous portions and the gravy is amazing. Loads of veg, meat and roast potatoes plus Yorkshire pudding, and tender roast beef. Wouldn’t go anywhere else for a Sunday Lunch Well done Anna and Martin for maintaining your excellent standards

Great Cornish pub, good ale and food and very helpful staff. We reserved a table for early Friday evening forgetting it was the end of a working week.......and it was rammed with locals all enjoying a pint. An hour later it had calmed down when most of the tables were taken by locals, small wonder because the food was excellent and plenty of it! Dont miss an evening if you get a chance.

We got a takeaway roast with friends today and it was absolutely delicious. Well presented (considering it was a takeaway), hot and tasted delicious. Generous portions and great value for money. Will definitely be back!

Walked in for a pint today with two very muddy dogs. I should have known better as they made a mess of the wooden floor. If I were the owner I’d have been fuming. I guess that’s the difference between me and a fine pub owner. the owner was so forgiving and didn’t think anything of getting the floor cleaned after the dogs. Don’t consider this an invitation to take muddy dogs in the pub but do consider this an example of how welcoming the pub and staff are.

The staff couldn't have been more accommodating and the food was lovely + well kept ales on tap. Highly recommended!!

Amazing place for families. We stopped in for a quick drink before viewing a property in the area. The girls behind the bar were so welcoming and friendly. The kitchen had just shut but they were happy to do a few picky bits for us....

The village pub and looked to be the centre of life in Budoc Water. Good selection of beers, wine and gin. We ate one evening, food was excellent and big old portions too. Also has Sky Sports for those that want to watch the football.

Visited recently for Sunday lunch with my husband and our dog. Staff very friendly and made us very welcome. The Sunday roast was absolutely delicious, hot,well cooked and generous portions. I whole heartedly recommend this pub but you need to book as its very popular.

Visited three times during our recent visit to Falmouth. On each occasion, the food was excellent as was the service. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help. Thoroughly recomend.

Stayed in a holiday cottage a few doors up from the pub, read the reviews and was so looking forward to having a family meal in the evenings... however the blackboard changes through the day to say closed lol! Even rang on a supposedly open...

Even though i didnt go to the restaurant i had a home delivered roast meal today i had 2 big slices of beef roast pototoes carrots peas and cabbage and yorkshire pudding and gravy it was my plea to miss out on the cauliflower cheese...

Very disappointing food not up to the usual standard! Roast potatoes just warm. Very anaemic looking chipolata in bacon (pigs in blanket) carrots looked disgusting! No Christmas music or a cracker to pull! Nil atmosphere. Won't be returning anytime soon!

Our first visit to the Trelly since lockdown. We were slightly nervous but needn't have been. Anna and the team had everything under control and we felt very safe. The food and service were excellent as always. Looking forward to our next visit.

Had Sunday lunch here and can honestly say it was lovely. The roastie were the best I've had out for a long time. We both had chicken which could have been a bit nore moist but the veg made up for it. You get cauliflower cheese, carrots, pickle cabbage, cabbage, green beans and peas as well as a lovely Yorkshire pudding, stuffing and extra gravy. We were so full but just managed to share profiteroles and ice cream Definitely worth a visit

Second visit in two weeks. Excellent food and drink. Great attentive service and all felt safe in these coved times. Had rump steak last night and hunters chicken last week. Hunters chicken edged it for me.

Anna and her team have done an amazing job on reopening after the lockdown. There is lots of outdoor seating and drinks are delivered to your table. There is a wonderful atmosphere in this lovely village pub.

Anna has done a brilliant job bringing this pub back to where it should be. Good range of beers and menu. Good local events and weekday evening events such as Bingo (which gets v busy and has a load of cash prizes) to quiz and euchre nights. Great bar staff. Great pub food, great Sunday lunches and the steak and ale pie is superb with melt-in-the-mouth meat and a great gravy.Well done Anna, thank you for giving us back our pub, you’re a star!

This pub was just a couple of miles away from where we were staying for the weekend. We booked a table before we arrived as it was quite late. We had a lovely welcome from the staff and the pub had a very cosy atmosphere, just what we needed on a wet and windy night. The food was very good quality and very reasonably priced. The food was served promptly but our meal was not rushed at all. It was a very pleasant evening and we will definitely visit again when in the area.

We are a family of five visiting our two children at uni. My husband found this little gem of a pub on the internet. He called on sunday to see if we could have a table and bring our dogs. Luckily for us there was a cancellation and they could fit us in. We all had a fabulous Sunday lunch. 2 meats, fab roast potatoes, stuffing, huge Yorkshire’s, 3 different types of veg and a huge dish of cauliflower cheese. We had extra gravy and extra pork scratching. The best Sunday lunch we’ve had. The staff were all very friendly too.We’ll definitely be back when next visiting.

Really nice meal this evening. Karen had lovely grilled fish, while I had a steak. Very nice young man served us. Very attentive. Nice to be allowed to have our dogs with us too. Clearly a good reputation as it was full. Fair value too.

We went to Inn for another Sunday lunch delicious meal not dissapointed another Sunday meal with loads ov veg and a good helping of either chicken .beef ,pork then after a good selection of pudings

We visited 28/12/19 for an evening meal, the bar staff were very friendly and the pub had a lovely atmosphere. The food was typical pub grub which was freshly cooked, it was served quickly and with a smile. Good value for money, highly recommended if you are staying locally.

All the food Ben cooks is exceptonal as to is the service --We have been to two pre - Xmas evening meals & quite a few Sunday lunches all extremely good & always very busy one has to book inadvance The Trelawarren Arms is a hidden gem just like pubs used to be very warm & friendly & Anna being the perfect host always talking to the customers We have yet to try their evening meals which we will be doing very soon

Had lunch here today. Steak and Ale pie wish mash and fresh vegetables for me and my wife had a burger and fries. Both excellent. The pie was the best that I have ever had. Very friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

We are eating here soon and I know from frequent visits that it will be excellent. Service is good and friendly and the food never disappoints.

We had lunch here on a Tuesday afternoon. From start to finish the experience was of a high standard. The barman was so welcoming and helpful. Then the food came relatively quickly and was of a very high standard. The ham in the ‘Ham, egg and chips’ was extremely good quality and there was tons of it! The omelette was very well cooked and full of cheese. Soooo tasty!!

Food was superb and reasonably priced, one of the juiciest, meat-packed pies I've ever had and a brilliant sea-food shared platter which offered a satisfying starter with enough to go around even between six of us. Atmosphere good, very crowded the night we were there because a quiz was going on, don't waste your money entering unless you view it as a charitable donation, seriously hard questions or maybe it was just our group flummoxed by whole rounds on Friends and Harry Potter.

Went here as visiting my daughter at uni. The reviews looked good so thought we'd try it. The reviews don't do it justice!! There were four of us and we had food and 4 pints and the bill was less than £70! The meals were so fresh and very very tasty. We didnt have room for puddings...which also looked amazing! Staff really friendly and obviously enjoyed their jobs. Will be going here again and again.....

staying in a local cottage, thought this pub with its live sky sports would be a typical sports bar (nothing wrong with that, but hard to persuade the wife to come). My interest was sparked by the amount of tables reserved, the reason the menu was well prices and the food was perfect. What really tops it's off through is thw friendly staff, everyone of them
