Great for a quick pint or a family dinner. Staff are amazing and so friendly.

I didn’t have a table booked, but the helpful staffed managed to make room for me. Delicious food and drinks, and reasonably priced.

Based on previous reviews, my family and I stopped in for lunch. What a great pub, friendly atmosphere, friendly staff great food and beer. I had the lasagna which was one of the best l have tasted and I’ve had a few in my time, my wife had a really good home made Turkey and mushroom pie which she loved, even hard to please children clean their plates.

This used to be one of our favourite pubs, friendly with a wide choice of inexpensive and interesting food options, however when we arrived it was virtually empty. The woman serving was not at all welcome and was monosyllabic. I didn’t like the beer but possibly a bad choice and I didn’t know any of them. We ordered two Thai fish cakes which were in the starter and light bites menu. The member of staff didn’t tell us that they also came as a main meal, and huge platefuls arrived with piles of chips. I commented that I was extremely surprised at the chips. She just shrugged and walked off. We both left most of it as it was far too much and not what we wanted. When we went to pay I again reiterated that we had only wanted starters but she still charged us £32 for food which mostly went in the bin and there was attempt at an apology for her misunderstanding. We left disgruntled and ripped off and vowing not to return. A great shame.

We are staying nearby and decided on having a Sunday Lunch. The welcome was warm and friendly by the chap with the amazing moustache. It was lovely to be able to choose one, two or three meats on the menu. Two of us chose Beef and one chose Pork- both meats cooked to perfection and the crackling was lovely and crispy. The dish of vegetables contained mashed swede, carrots, cabbage and green beans. We ordered a side of cauliflower cheese but as the vegetable dish was large for us 3 diners, we unfortunately wasted some of the veg. The main portion sizes were just right. To finish we had the Strawberry Pavlova and Crème Brûlée’s and each of us were impressed with our choices. Every year I have been here whilst on holiday, and it has never failed to impress. It was a lot quieter this year so I do hope locals will support this lovely pub and keep it going, I just wish I lived closer.

Evening meal for a birthday. Only one lady doing everything,serving drinks and waiting at table. She was lovely and did a sterling job. The food was lovely, simple, well cooked and well presented. Lovely place we were staying in Redruth on holiday with friends the staff were really nice and friendly and helpful there's a steak night on Wednesday's 2 for £25.00 they cooked it to perfection and a lovely rhubarb crumble for pud delicious well worth a trip

We booked here for a Easter Sunday lunch and it didn't dissapoint, this was the only pub/resturant in the local area still serving after 4pm and the food was amazing, never tried hog pudding before and so glad I did. The Sunday dinners was really nice with a good mixture of meats and veg then finished off with sticky toffee pudding 😋😋 all served by the young blonde girl behind the bar( I forgot your name sorry 😬) would definitely reccomend.

Staff were friendly, food was plentiful and good quality, pudding was great. -1 star for a slow initial drinks order, however they were busy and once we were served remaining service was excellent. Update March 2024; One super busy server but again EXCELLENT food, very friendly and a totally e=njoyable visit.

Have been using The Treleigh Arms for a number of years now and what a difference a change of management makes. The atmosphere is now awful and the staff quite surly and bordering rude at times. The food has always been typical pub food but now it's bland pub food. We have had our last meal at this pub, there are far better establishments out there.

This time I only popped in for a drink after work. However, a couple of weeks before we popped in for dinner. Although the beers are good I am afraid the very young staff were doing their jobs and no more. The family next to us had food missing & were not happy. Having been here previously & always had fantastic food this visit was really disappointing. The place was closed by 9!!! Would appear the change of hands has not been a good thing for the food here.

Had a joint birthday celebration really enjoyed the food and service will recommend it to anyone

Took the wife's grandson there because he wanted a steak, so did I. We had starters, main and pud plus some good ale, all for £35 a head. Good sized portions and really tasty, great service from friendly staff.

We discovered this pub right by a busy road but it felt as if were in the countryside; it’s got a pretty little garden with plenty of outside seating. We enjoyed a really tasty meal served by friendly, attentive staff. Great pub, try it!

Really delicious food! We were here on their steak night and our steaks and accompaniments were delicious. The staff were ever so friendly and helpful . They were clearly busy but nothing was too much trouble for them. A very enjoyable evening! The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is because the chocolate brownie for dessert wasn't great.

Stopped off here for a beautiful meal with my family of 5, 2x 9 yr old and a 4yr old. The staff were really attentive and couldn't have tried any harder to please us. Food was delicious and plentiful. The roast pork was delicious and the homemade cauliflower cheese was amazing. Really reasonably priced too and clean toilets in a lovely old building. Would definitely return if in the area again.

Google maps led us to this pub & I thought 4.5/5 rating was worth a go. We pulled up to an empty car park & my husband gave me a funny look like I’d made the wrong decision picking this pub. We were definitely not disappointed! We were greeted immediately by a very friendly lady & seated quickly. She took our drinks order & made some good recommendations. The menu was very traditional which we all loved, good pub grub. By the time we left all the tables were full & they were turning people away. Like a previous reviewer said there were regulars in but we certainly did not witness any unsavoury language. I don’t usually leave reviews but we had such a nice time I felt compelled to share our experience

Only local pub that had room for 9 on Sunday evening. Started well. Food was OK. The roast was very nice but the curry was disappointing with skin and gristle in it. A group of 5 or 6 locals, it soon became apparent they were cronies of the older waitress, were at the next table. Their language was a bit unsavoury so one of my sons turned to them and politely informed them we had children with us, the youngest being a little girl of 7. From then on we had lots of muttering and jibes, some not suitable for print. Their friend, the waitress, came from the back of the bar with a glass of bubbly and joined them in a celebratory toast for something. They remarked to her about my son's comment. She replied - ' they should hear how I speak to my kids' Ironic really, given that she'd commented, when my grandchildren asked for a coke, that she doesn't allow her children to drink coke. Thanks for that! She also told us what lovely manners our youngsters have. Normally a flattering remark but given her taste in friends, maybe not on this occasion! My advice- if you don't mind profanities to accompany your meal it's the place for you. If, like us, you prefer to enjoy your food with a bit of background music and the buzz of pleasant conversation, there are better places nearby!

Excellent service and delicious food. Waitress was polite, friendly and attentive, made us feel really welcome. The food was well cooked, portions were ample and it was hot and delicious.

We walked in with a lovely greeting and upon being placed on a table in the middle of everyone, we requested to move to another table which they accommodated. Our meal was soooo tasty and hot. Our puddings were yummy but you need to place order very quickly as the puddings go quickly! Very friendly staff and would highly recommend 5*

What a find ,wow guys you so have it all perfect .an amazing pub with amazing staff nothing is any problem from moving table to slight changes to the menu .the food is to die for just brilliant so tasty well presented to enough to fill a very hungry person . Check out there special of the day menu if there's a pud you like reserve it first as they go quick because they are divine. Most definitely a pub saved on my phone for a return visit

Throughly recommend this tucked away pub. Excellent menu selection and delicious food prepared by a very good chef. Pleasant staff Wednesday night was special offer steak night and looked very good value, however I had the chicken with bacon pineapple and cheese topping, an unusual combination but delicious served with tomatoes ,mushrooms, and chips. My partner had the steak and kidney pie which was definitely home made and satisfied his larger appetite. We finished off with crème brûlée. Two large glasses of wine. The bill was very reasonable and we will definitely be eating there again.

Went here for Sunday lunch today as it’s my husbands birthday. What a disappointment. Aunt Bessie would love it ! Very obvious that most of the lunch had been frozen at some point. Yorkie puds were flat and soggy, gravy I think was made from granules but cauliflower cheese was quite nice. Roast potatoes were like leather. I ordered a mixed meat roast and was given just Turkey. I would have complained but it took so long to get our meals. I won’t be going here again. It’s a pity as it used to be such a lovely pub with fantastic food.not any more.

What a friendly atmosphere in this pub with a great selection of food and drink at sensible prices. Dropped in to have a meal without a reservation - no problem. Table or bar service by helpful and friendly staff. Ate the best steak and kidney pie I have tasted for years and others similarly satisfied with their food. Classic puddings also well worth experiencing. All in all a great experience and on the list to go again when next in that part of Cornwall.

We visited the Treleigh Arms twice whilst on holiday in Portreath and both times it was lovely. We sat outside for lunch on one occasion and there was a great selection on the menu and specials board and the food was really tasty. We returned on the Thursday evening for curry and quiz night. The curry was delicious and came with all the trimmings and the quiz was a really good laugh. There was also a raffle with some proceeds going to charity. Staff are very friendly and made us feel so welcome. Would highly recommend this pub if you’re in the Redruth area.

I am very aware that this is the number one rated restaurant/pub on trip advisor so it is with realism and hope I write this . I am that lone fish swimming up river against a surge of water because this is going against everything you have read , I was passing this evening with my family and had read on trip advisor it was Number 1 so went in hoping for a decent meal . All got off to a good start staff pleasant, got seated & our drinks + food order was taken within 10mins or so . 1 hour later , yes I’m serious 1 hour later still no food & we were not the only ones . One blonde waitress shrugged it off we’re busy ( like it was acceptable ) the other brunette waitress was more sympathetic assuring the food would be with us shortly a few mins later it was and she did apologise on the wait in fairness it wasn’t her fault . The food was fine but it was the wait that was completely unacceptable over an hour !!!! I really don’t know what went wrong here tonight but the wheels really came off the bus it was car crash service. I paid my bill in full and left . I hope this place sorts itself out but I’m only sorry I had to be the Guinea pig that had to experience how bad the service really was . Wild horses couldn’t drag me back here . If this place had issues tonight in kitchen or front of house they should have maybe closed earlier rather than inflict that kind of horrid experience to paying customers . Suffice as to say I had no intention to wait for dessert . Guys if your reading this what happened tonight ….????????

The barmaid at this pub was amazing, not just a credit to the establishment, but a credit to Cornwall itself. We were asked to move tables for some locals, so she will know who she is. Amazing service from her. This lady needs to be promoted. What a star. If we are in the area again we shall return.

Great place for a beer, food and atmosphere. We are down here on holiday and just had the ribs (last portion). Cooked to perfection!!! The Gyros skewers were excellent, the smoked mackerel pate amazing. Definitely worth seeking out. Friendly advice and not a criticism is more toast with pate or less pate and skewers would be good with rice but we loved everything. Prices are more than competitive. Gary

Fantastic!!!! How a pub should be really welcoming friendly local. Phoned late on Sunday looking for somewhere to eat, as we had stayed for the weeknd locally, They stop serving at 7pm but weren't due to arrive till gone then but they said come along they would wait for us. Really warm welcome, friendly staff really chatty and made us feel really at home. Food was amazing tasty and not shy with the portions either. Garlic mushrooms were banging !!! Can't fault this place at all. If you want great food excellent welcome and staff then head here !!

Since they've changed hands, the service and food has gone down hill badly. It is so hit and miss now. One week the food is lovely and the next week its really awful. The staff are the same. Rude one week and good as gold the next week. Not a place I will be going back to. If you don't like your job then go and get another one. You can't work in the public sector and be grumpy and rude, it's not what the public want. I've since had a reply saying that the owners will tell the chef what I have said about the food and that the chef has been there for 3 years. I am a local and knew the old chef. It's a shame they think they can lie to cover up a bad review. I have absolutely nothing against the new staff. I've had some decent conversations with them since they started there. I just don't understand the inconsistencies with the food or the mood of the new staff. The chef is new to this pub. They may not be new to the owner, which could be why they said they had been working there for 3 years, but they are definitely new to the Treleigh Arms.

This is a cozy, welcoming pub. We walked in without a reservation and were seated within minutes. The friendly waitress enabled me to have a delicious GF/DF chicken vegetable stir fry. This was just what we needed after a busy day exploring Cornwall!

I had roast pork and my friend had roast beef both meats were not very tasty and the potatoes were hard and chewy both the meal had a unusual taste we both had desserts which were ok but overall the cost was more than enough will not go there again and I would not recommend it to anyone else.

My first visit to the Treleigh Arms tonight, and it was steak night! Brilliant value for money, and the portion size was generous too! The 'normal menu' has plenty of options too, and the daily specials sounded delicious. Lovely helpful staff and I wouldn't hesitate to return!
