This is our 4th time eating at this restaurant. We have had the spicy stews and Budae Jjigae, all of them tastes very good. and this time we tried the bbq. They came raw and already we can see it looks nice, the pre-grilled pork tastes super delicious with the balance of fat and meat. The environment is good and korean music was playing. Recommend this restaurant, go there during lunch or dinner.

Great spot for a Korean BBQ in London. Choosing the cuts from their shop and grilling them at the table was a delight. The variety of sides and the speedy, friendly service added to the experience. Keep in mind, during busy hours, it gets a bit smoky inside, and you might carry the BBQ aroma out with you. Despite that, the experience was absolutely worth it!

Very delicious pancake, well cooked, crunchy and fluffy but soft inside. Better than most korean restaurant i’ve tried in asia (minus korea). the shrimp steak was also very tender when we grilled it ourselves. kimchee stew also very nice! umami and acidity just right. can have an option to add more spiciness imo. pork for the grill average. ventilation was alright, but can be improved. If there’s a sort of cloak storage would be better too.

Great experience. Bought fresh and high quality meat from the butchery next door and grilled it at the restaurant. This is likely the best KBBQ restaurant I have tried in London. The sides they provide are plentiful and well made. The mandu is a must-get.

Food just barely acceptable if you are looking for authentic Korean food. The problem is the seafood noodles came with dead mussels. 2 out of 3 of them were unopened and when we asked the waitress she said there’s nothing they can do like we were the trouble makers… it was a lunch gathering with our long lost friend and this unpleasant attitude from the resturant just ruined our day. Sorry but I think there are plenty of other options nearby and we should really pick a Korean restaurant with care our next visit in New Malden.

This is my second time to visit this fabulous restaurant. The food is still wonderful, especially the marinated grilled beef! They are so authentic Korean dishes!! The staff Kushani is really helpful and detailed-minded. She could know what we wanted before we told her. She made our day even though the weather is slightly rainy. As I was in New Malden to run a few errands, I wanted to stop by for a cold noodle dish and this place had just that. On a weekday afternoon, it wasn’t busy. Instead of cold noodles, I opted for the gamjatang pork bone stew on a fairly cold day. Good portion of meat on the bones still which was nice. The stew was flavourful and aromatic, but not as spicy as I was expecting it to be. Enjoyable and hearty meal despite this. Service was friendly and attentive. Really nice they offered the free side dishes like how they do in Korea.

Eaten here 3 times within the first 3 weeks of moving to the local area. The fried chicken is delicious, usual go to food is bibimbap but the cold noodles is so delicious! We’ll be back again

WHAT A FAB 🥳🥳🥳 The best korean cuisine i've ever had till date. Service is very quick and excellent. Me and my friends enjoyed this entire meal had to order another portion of BBQ set . Delicious and reasonable, i was worried if we couldn't get table as it was so busy but the service team managed to provide us table within 10 min the wait was totally worth and visit this place again. If i could give 6 star i would.

Wanted to try the restaurant - apparently it was full, so we were told to wait for one minute. We waited for ten minutes. Then we were told ‘two more minutes’. We waited for another five minutes. Then we were told ‘a few more minutes’, we waited for another minute and gave up. This is exactly the way to lose a customer. You should be honest about the waiting time instead of lying.

It was much better, nice service and nice meat. But this time is really awful. Service: Staff are still nice but not the one who stands in the till not sure if she is the owner. She is really mean and inpatient. We spent more than 100£ there and kept ordering food, however, she pretty much threw the bill at our table saying we can pay by the till! We’re not finished at all and attempted to order more! And it’s not even 90minutes. Food: They used to provide all raw meat to cook but on that day it’s all pretty much cooked. We asked why they explained something like they did something special to it but you can clearly know they just want to shorten the time you spent there so they could get more customers…. Atmosphere: Everytime looking up notice that female Korean owner/till stuff just starring at us with whole face saying please finishing eating and go. So even I tried to have good time with friend, it was quite hard.

I just wanted to update my 4 star review from last year to a 5 because the last few times I’ve visited, the food has been faultless and the waitress was very amiable. I’ve recommended it to many friends recently who have also been impressed by the food! You can never be disappointed by a meal here and I highly recommend this place to everyone else! We ordered beef tongue and it was cooked at the table. It was as hard as rubber. When we told the manager about it she tried to fend it off by smiling . I would never go to this restaurant in New Malden. The service was also poor and they forgot to get my diet Coke. Overall not a pleasant experience!

If there was competition for the most tasteless food amongst Korean restaurants in New Malden, the Treestone Kitchen would easily land the top prize. The top-table barbecue of ox tongue and beef we ordered, proved so rubbery and ancient that no teeth would grind. Shortage of staff ensures slow service. And make sure you avoid the bathroom as it lacks soap and a functioning hand dryer.

All was brilliant. Food was tasty and atmosphere was superb but they tried to bill us nearly £100 for food that was worth £50. Like I said food is excellent, and atmo very good but I would never go back because I dont trust them not to rip me off. Check your bills carefully ppl that is all I am saying.

Always my go to kbbq place - especially with the high quality meat from the butchers (buy the meat next doors and bring to table option is the best!). Soups are usually good, and cold noodle soup pairs amazingly with pork belly and radish slices!

Raddish kimchi spoilage it tastes too sour and smells bad, and our friend got a touch of diarrhea.

Overall great experience and I would recommend trying to see if it is for you too. We tried the premium bbq (£11pp) with purchasing the fresh meat from the butchers (depends on what you meats you select are the extra costs), the £11 is for the bbq ssam set of vegetables and side dishes. We also tried the fried chicken and seafood pancakes. In hindsight, we would avoid getting those (just allocate more stomach space for meat from the butchers). They were fast to be prepared and tasty, just the experience would be better suited for the bbq. The service was friendly, fast and efficient (as soon as you head to the butchers the staff set up the vegetables and side dishes), also the extras arrived promptly. Only downside is service charge is not optional (though in terms of restaurants, this is worth it with asking for extra paper for the bbq, small plates). The 4 star is due to the limited space; when it gets busy you are effectively rushed to finish, so the staff can clear the table for the next customers. I would recommend to others for the experience, and the price is good value for the quality and service. I would suggest going early to avoid the peak period. Worth noting Amex is not accepted (Mastercard and VISA only).

I’ve been coming here for a while now. It’s always a great kbbq experience. You can buy fresh meat from the butchers next door to grill at the restaurant, however I recommend trying the meat from the restaurant. The marinated meats are great. They par cook the meat on a charcoal grill to give it a lovely smokiness. The bbq sets are good value and a great way to try different cuts of meat. Service is also friendly and good. I recommend booking during busy times and weekends.

The food here was tasty and fresh. We especially enjoyed the marinated pork kalbi and the beef bulgogi. The staff were all very friendly too

We went for butcher style bbq and all had diarrhoea after. I just checked their food hygiene rating is only 3/5. Food tasted mediocre, table bbq grill wasn’t hot enough so our beef ended up boiling in their own juice, which made them dry.

You have two options if you are craving for the Korean BBQ. You could either order straight from the menu (but most are grilled in the kitchen) or you could go to their butcher next store to select your cut and pay in addition a “table fee” of £11 pp. Of course, SC is added on top. We went for the second option as we wanted to grill the food ourselves, and found it’d be slightly better value. It worked out to be around £25 pp. All the sauces, saam and other sides dishes were included, but the catch was that you can’t get the marinaded meat from the butcher. Their meat was great quality, the Pork Collar and Rib Finger were particularly delicious, perfectly marbled and flavourful. The sauces and side dishes were tasty too. The service was hit & miss though. They kept rushing us in a rude way to make a decision on our grilling option, but we simply haven’t decided. But then they became very attentive and friendly after accidentally spilling water on my partner. The sittings were also quite tight, and the floor was greasy/slippery.

The best Korean food I have had in a very long time, it’s my go to place for comfort food with my friends. My most favourite dishes that is a must try are the chicken gyoza, vegetable ramen, pork belly and the sweet chilli chicken is to die for. It’s the best place may it be for celebration or small dinner outing they serve chilled asahi and soju which pairs so well with the Korean food.the places fresh meat and veggies. The place has a fun Korean ambience for a good grilling fun with friends, staffs are very very friendly and always smiling and helpful. Shout out to Yuvan Lee and ester they are the sweetest and the best host for a great grilling experience. The best part about the place is you could even book a private room for anniversary and birthday celebration. Omg how could I forget the Japchae it’s the best in the entire world can’t wait to go back to tree stone to try more of their authentic and fresh Korean food options

Our recent visit to Treestone BBQ restaurant left me with conflicting thoughts. Whilst the staff were friendly and efficient, and the food arrived promptly, the overall experience fell short of expectations. The main disappointment stemmed from the lack of flavours in both ramen and soup dishes. Despite the enticing descriptions, the food was rather bland and lacked the robust taste we had anticipated. We also ordered Korean Fried Chicken which tasted quite nice, however, the portion sizes seemed smaller than expected, especially given the prices. The restaurant itself felt a bit cramped, with tables squeezed into a small space. While this didn't detract from the friendly atmosphere created by the staff, it did make the dining experience feel a bit claustrophobic. Despite the friendly service and timely delivery of food, the bland flavours and cramped environment dampened the overall experience. Whilst it might be worth a try for some, it didn't quite hit the mark for us, and I'm not sure if I'd return.

My friend and I were here in a group of 5 people and were arranged to sit on the second floor. We ordered 1. Jokbal - This dish is salty 2. Japchae - overpriced, small dish 3. Kimchijeon - Average. 4. Dakgangjeong-Good 5 Korean Army Stew - The rice cake is a bit hard. Halfway through our meal, a strange woman suddenly appeared at our table and asked us to get our food with a piece of Japanese paper. Because the woman didn't speak English, we didn't understand what she was saying. There was a staff member upstairs who saw it. He didn't tell her to stop. We also don’t know how she ended up on the second floor of the restaurant begging for food. Soon after, we discovered that the phone had been stolen. When we asked the staff, they said they didn't know. We asked the manager to check the CCTV. She said the CCTV on the second floor was broken, and she said she didn't know either. They also treated us with a very bad attitude. I still don’t know how the strange woman was able to enter the restaurant and go up to the second floor to steal the phone. Everyone is brought into the restaurant at the entrance before taking a seat. Please make your own decision whether you want to go to this restaurant or not. Safety is the most important thing.

I'm an exchange student from Korea, and I like this place the best. They prepare the food first, and you can smell the Korean smell of the food. It's been a while since I had dinner with my friends, and there was plenty of alcohol, so I was really cured of my homesickness! May you prosper!

An authentic Korean bbq restaurant in New Malden complete with BBQ accessories to ensure you have everything you need to pull off the best possible barbecue. We tried a good range of the meats: beef and pork belly bbq; shellfish, spicy fried chicken; prawn pancake. .. tasty and decent quality, with minimal grease on them. If you’re more adventurous, go next door where you can pick and choose different cuts of meat from their refrigerated section - staff there will advise. Very near New Malden train station, two mins walk. There’s on street parking, Buses from Kingston and Wimbledon stop just outside.

Beef short rib hot stew was very good. But service is not good, we asked the tap water and they never serve the water and Bossom was served cold it was utterly tasteless -! Not genuine.

I had bibimbap and my wife and daughter had galbitang, and both were very good. However, we had kimchijun - a kimchi pancake, and found no kimchi inside but just pancake. We had joked about finding no kimchi but when we actually found none, it wasn’t funny anymore. We also had haemulpajun - a seafood pancake, with almost no seafood in it either. If they did this in Korea, nobody would come to this restaurant. I hope they are not doing this just to save cost.

This was my second visit to the restaurant and this time i ordered a marinated kalbi set. It smelled delicious especially with the soya sauce. Usually they serve the meet half cooked and the rest we have to cook by our self on the table. it was an amazing experience. Everything served hot and the Food is awesome and Delicious. Staff are polite to customers. Will definitely recommend and visit again 👍

We arrived and the five of us were invited to sit down in the restaurant (three adults, two children). We were given a nice table in the window. Within a minute or so the manager told us that we would have to move upstairs. No reason offered. There were other tables available downstairs. Upstairs it was cold and there were no other diners. We left. Very disappointed. Food looked okay, though compared to other restaurants in the area seemed expensive.

Food and service was delicious, fast, hot and on point with all the flavourings. Authentic! Only nit-pick was the room was small and crowded. Good pricing, will definitely recommend and come again!

A very pleasant BBQ restaurant designed for long conversations. The flavors of Korea are presented to us in the heart of England. We bought the meat in the butcher shop next to the restaurant, which we grilled in the restaurant. The staff was extremely polite and helpful.
