WHAT A FAB 🥳🥳🥳 The best korean cuisine i've ever had till date. Service is very quick and excellent. Me and my friends enjoyed this entire meal had to order another portion of BBQ set . Delicious and reasonable, i was worried if we couldn't get table as it was so busy but the service team managed to provide us table within 10 min the wait was totally worth and visit this place again. If i could give 6 star i would.

Wanted to try the restaurant - apparently it was full, so we were told to wait for one minute. We waited for ten minutes. Then we were told ‘two more minutes’. We waited for another five minutes. Then we were told ‘a few more minutes’, we waited for another minute and gave up. This is exactly the way to lose a customer. You should be honest about the waiting time instead of lying.

Delicious foods meats..wow it’s so tasty loved it…

It was much better, nice service and nice meat. But this time is really awful. Service: Staff are still nice but not the one who stands in the till not sure if she is the owner. She is really mean and inpatient. We spent more than 100£ there and kept ordering food, however, she pretty much threw the bill at our table saying we can pay by the till! We’re not finished at all and attempted to order more! And it’s not even 90minutes. Food: They used to provide all raw meat to cook but on that day it’s all pretty much cooked. We asked why they explained something like they did something special to it but you can clearly know they just want to shorten the time you spent there so they could get more customers…. Atmosphere: Everytime looking up notice that female Korean owner/till stuff just starring at us with whole face saying please finishing eating and go. So even I tried to have good time with friend, it was quite hard.

I just wanted to update my 4 star review from last year to a 5 because the last few times I’ve visited, the food has been faultless and the waitress was very amiable. I’ve recommended it to many friends recently who have also been impressed by the food! You can never be disappointed by a meal here and I highly recommend this place to everyone else! We ordered beef tongue and it was cooked at the table. It was as hard as rubber. When we told the manager about it she tried to fend it off by smiling . I would never go to this restaurant in New Malden. The service was also poor and they forgot to get my diet Coke. Overall not a pleasant experience!

If there was competition for the most tasteless food amongst Korean restaurants in New Malden, the Treestone Kitchen would easily land the top prize. The top-table barbecue of ox tongue and beef we ordered, proved so rubbery and ancient that no teeth would grind. Shortage of staff ensures slow service. And make sure you avoid the bathroom as it lacks soap and a functioning hand dryer.

All was brilliant. Food was tasty and atmosphere was superb but they tried to bill us nearly £100 for food that was worth £50. Like I said food is excellent, and atmo very good but I would never go back because I dont trust them not to rip me off. Check your bills carefully ppl that is all I am saying.

Always my go to kbbq place - especially with the high quality meat from the butchers (buy the meat next doors and bring to table option is the best!). Soups are usually good, and cold noodle soup pairs amazingly with pork belly and radish slices!

Highly recommend great place. Food quality is great, and it tastes amazing. Excellent service from the staff which made our visit special. Carol was friendly and provided great service

Raddish kimchi spoilage it tastes too sour and smells bad, and our friend got a touch of diarrhea.

Overall great experience and I would recommend trying to see if it is for you too. We tried the premium bbq (£11pp) with purchasing the fresh meat from the butchers (depends on what you meats you select are the extra costs), the £11 is for the bbq ssam set of vegetables and side dishes. We also tried the fried chicken and seafood pancakes. In hindsight, we would avoid getting those (just allocate more stomach space for meat from the butchers). They were fast to be prepared and tasty, just the experience would be better suited for the bbq. The service was friendly, fast and efficient (as soon as you head to the butchers the staff set up the vegetables and side dishes), also the extras arrived promptly. Only downside is service charge is not optional (though in terms of restaurants, this is worth it with asking for extra paper for the bbq, small plates). The 4 star is due to the limited space; when it gets busy you are effectively rushed to finish, so the staff can clear the table for the next customers. I would recommend to others for the experience, and the price is good value for the quality and service. I would suggest going early to avoid the peak period. Worth noting Amex is not accepted (Mastercard and VISA only).

I’ve been coming here for a while now. It’s always a great kbbq experience. You can buy fresh meat from the butchers next door to grill at the restaurant, however I recommend trying the meat from the restaurant. The marinated meats are great. They par cook the meat on a charcoal grill to give it a lovely smokiness. The bbq sets are good value and a great way to try different cuts of meat. Service is also friendly and good. I recommend booking during busy times and weekends.

The food here was tasty and fresh. We especially enjoyed the marinated pork kalbi and the beef bulgogi. The staff were all very friendly too

so far the best one we had in new malden, we tried the marinated bbq set, japchae (andante👍👍), kimchi (this is so good), omelete, and bibimbap (5stars).. all on point... staff were friendly.. nice and clean place, easy parking access... will return for sure...

We went for butcher style bbq and all had diarrhoea after. I just checked their food hygiene rating is only 3/5. Food tasted mediocre, table bbq grill wasn’t hot enough so our beef ended up boiling in their own juice, which made them dry.

You have two options if you are craving for the Korean BBQ. You could either order straight from the menu (but most are grilled in the kitchen) or you could go to their butcher next store to select your cut and pay in addition a “table fee” of £11 pp. Of course, SC is added on top. We went for the second option as we wanted to grill the food ourselves, and found it’d be slightly better value. It worked out to be around £25 pp. All the sauces, saam and other sides dishes were included, but the catch was that you can’t get the marinaded meat from the butcher. Their meat was great quality, the Pork Collar and Rib Finger were particularly delicious, perfectly marbled and flavourful. The sauces and side dishes were tasty too. The service was hit & miss though. They kept rushing us in a rude way to make a decision on our grilling option, but we simply haven’t decided. But then they became very attentive and friendly after accidentally spilling water on my partner. The sittings were also quite tight, and the floor was greasy/slippery.

The best Korean food I have had in a very long time, it’s my go to place for comfort food with my friends. My most favourite dishes that is a must try are the chicken gyoza, vegetable ramen, pork belly and the sweet chilli chicken is to die for. It’s the best place may it be for celebration or small dinner outing they serve chilled asahi and soju which pairs so well with the Korean food.the places fresh meat and veggies. The place has a fun Korean ambience for a good grilling fun with friends, staffs are very very friendly and always smiling and helpful. Shout out to Yuvan Lee and ester they are the sweetest and the best host for a great grilling experience. The best part about the place is you could even book a private room for anniversary and birthday celebration. Omg how could I forget the Japchae it’s the best in the entire world can’t wait to go back to tree stone to try more of their authentic and fresh Korean food options

Our recent visit to Treestone BBQ restaurant left me with conflicting thoughts. Whilst the staff were friendly and efficient, and the food arrived promptly, the overall experience fell short of expectations. The main disappointment stemmed from the lack of flavours in both ramen and soup dishes. Despite the enticing descriptions, the food was rather bland and lacked the robust taste we had anticipated. We also ordered Korean Fried Chicken which tasted quite nice, however, the portion sizes seemed smaller than expected, especially given the prices. The restaurant itself felt a bit cramped, with tables squeezed into a small space. While this didn't detract from the friendly atmosphere created by the staff, it did make the dining experience feel a bit claustrophobic. Despite the friendly service and timely delivery of food, the bland flavours and cramped environment dampened the overall experience. Whilst it might be worth a try for some, it didn't quite hit the mark for us, and I'm not sure if I'd return.

My friend and I were here in a group of 5 people and were arranged to sit on the second floor. We ordered 1. Jokbal - This dish is salty 2. Japchae - overpriced, small dish 3. Kimchijeon - Average. 4. Dakgangjeong-Good 5 Korean Army Stew - The rice cake is a bit hard. Halfway through our meal, a strange woman suddenly appeared at our table and asked us to get our food with a piece of Japanese paper. Because the woman didn't speak English, we didn't understand what she was saying. There was a staff member upstairs who saw it. He didn't tell her to stop. We also don’t know how she ended up on the second floor of the restaurant begging for food. Soon after, we discovered that the phone had been stolen. When we asked the staff, they said they didn't know. We asked the manager to check the CCTV. She said the CCTV on the second floor was broken, and she said she didn't know either. They also treated us with a very bad attitude. I still don’t know how the strange woman was able to enter the restaurant and go up to the second floor to steal the phone. Everyone is brought into the restaurant at the entrance before taking a seat. Please make your own decision whether you want to go to this restaurant or not. Safety is the most important thing.

I'm an exchange student from Korea, and I like this place the best. They prepare the food first, and you can smell the Korean smell of the food. It's been a while since I had dinner with my friends, and there was plenty of alcohol, so I was really cured of my homesickness! May you prosper!

An authentic Korean bbq restaurant in New Malden complete with BBQ accessories to ensure you have everything you need to pull off the best possible barbecue. We tried a good range of the meats: beef and pork belly bbq; shellfish, spicy fried chicken; prawn pancake. .. tasty and decent quality, with minimal grease on them. If you’re more adventurous, go next door where you can pick and choose different cuts of meat from their refrigerated section - staff there will advise. Very near New Malden train station, two mins walk. There’s on street parking, Buses from Kingston and Wimbledon stop just outside.

Beef short rib hot stew was very good. But service is not good, we asked the tap water and they never serve the water and Bossom was served cold it was utterly tasteless -! Not genuine.

Delicious food, cozy atmosphere and very good service!

I had bibimbap and my wife and daughter had galbitang, and both were very good. However, we had kimchijun - a kimchi pancake, and found no kimchi inside but just pancake. We had joked about finding no kimchi but when we actually found none, it wasn’t funny anymore. We also had haemulpajun - a seafood pancake, with almost no seafood in it either. If they did this in Korea, nobody would come to this restaurant. I hope they are not doing this just to save cost.

Great spot for a Korean BBQ in London. Choosing the cuts from their shop and grilling them at the table was a delight. The variety of sides and the speedy, friendly service added to the experience. Keep in mind, during busy hours, it gets a bit smoky inside, and you might carry the BBQ aroma out with you. Despite that, the experience was absolutely worth it!

Authentic Korean cuisine. Tasted good. Definitely will come again.

Food and atmosphere are great. They’re so busy that the service is a bit hit and miss. Also, saw what looked like the manager shouting at 2 waitresses in public which is not good.

The environment was good but the main point is the meat in the set not fresh at all.

This was my second visit to the restaurant and this time i ordered a marinated kalbi set. It smelled delicious especially with the soya sauce. Usually they serve the meet half cooked and the rest we have to cook by our self on the table. it was an amazing experience. Everything served hot and the Food is awesome and Delicious. Staff are polite to customers. Will definitely recommend and visit again 👍

We arrived and the five of us were invited to sit down in the restaurant (three adults, two children). We were given a nice table in the window. Within a minute or so the manager told us that we would have to move upstairs. No reason offered. There were other tables available downstairs. Upstairs it was cold and there were no other diners. We left. Very disappointed. Food looked okay, though compared to other restaurants in the area seemed expensive.

A very pleasant BBQ restaurant designed for long conversations. The flavors of Korea are presented to us in the heart of England. We bought the meat in the butcher shop next to the restaurant, which we grilled in the restaurant. The staff was extremely polite and helpful.

Wonderful restaurant with great ambiance and vibes. Plus points for having such a welcoming atmosphere. Their food was extremely satisfactory as well as having lots of inexpensive choices. This place was introduced by a lovely friend of mine, Amanda who works there and I'm so glad she did because I am definitely going back!!! Do I need to say more, if you visit New Malden, without a doubt this is definitely, your first choice.

I am a loyal customer of treestone and I must say the food is spectacular! The atmosphere is great and the staff are wonderful. There is a lovely waitress named Amanda and she is very helpful considering the first time I came I knew nothing about Korean barbecue. The meat is succulent and tender and very well flavoured. One of my favourite restaurants - I highly recommend.

BBQ Quality changed a lot . Really different from my previous experience. Food state is getting plain , BBQ sauce taste plain and service is not good .

Out of this world BBQ. You are able to go and select which meats to use for your own BBQ at the butchers next door to the shop. You can purchase everything you need from meats, sides and stuff to take away with you. Seating is comfortable for a long stay for your meal. Staff are incredibly friendly and happy to help with the BBQ itself or leave you to do it the way you like. The atmosphere is one of a kind for BBQ places. You are able to journey into your own little world with your friends or family members with some amazing food along the way.

First time trying KBBQ with a friend who’s a KBBQ veteran! I was intrigued by the concept and very happy with the food! We had pork, chicken and some vegetables! Big quantity, great quality food. Bit expensive! But worth it. Tried their sake too. Really nice. And is served in a cool bottle!

This was my first in New Malden having a proper Korean bbq. I think I bought too much as usual: beef and pork belly bbq; spicy fried chicken; prawn pancake. The food was tasty and served very quickly. Very good quality and not greasy at all. We were too full to check the dessert menu but I want to come back again to check the rest of the menu. Interesting fact about the bbq option :you can buy your own meet from the shop next door an grill it for a small fee.

Great beef set just under £60. The set comes with garlic slice, chillies and lecttue which is satisfying. The restaurant was very busy but the service was quick and neat. We walked in randomly and found this great Korean bbq spot👍🏼

This is not a good place. 1. No ventilation inside the restaurant despite it offering bbq so the door was always propped open making it cold inside. 2. Tables squeezed together which made me nervous when they were serving hot food and moving hot plates to the inside table and they need to get past you. 3. Meat oddly comes par cooked - very very weird. This is probably to lessen the cooking time and to get you out of the restaurant as quickly as possible. 4. Staff are rude and basically just want you out. Not a place to relax and eat with friends. They cleared up the whole table while the kid was still eating and then I couldn’t even wait at our table for my friend to take her son to the bathroom. Told to wait outside as they need the table. Overall a very unpleasant experience.

I paid total £73 for 2 persons with the order of marinated pork ribs, rice, lettuce, couple of side dishes, bowl of mussel soup. Each portions served was very very small, e.g. only 5 to 6 big spoons of rice in a bowl for £3, very little amount for dipping sauce Ssam-jang, lettuce, side dishes. As I'm Korean origin, I feel very embarrassed about this restaurant's presentation of the service to the new customers who tried Korean food for the first time. The restaurant management should be look into the quality of the service. Even though it's not Michellin rated restaurant, there must be reasonably matching service of the good standard.

The place is nice and clean, but the prices are way too high for a Korean restaurant in New Malden. You can have the same level of quality for at least 30 cheaper.

No music anywhere in the restaurant. Food quality news ok. Some food was missing and had to keep asking for it. Customer service was ok. Price is ok.

People are getting the butcher's mixed with the restaurant on the reviews it seems. Although the two are the same business, reviews are conflating the two. The restaurant is a small but wonderful gem it tastes exactly like the food I had in Korea. They have the Wonderful butcher's next door to source the best Korean style meats. I highly recommend you get a bbq grill mix. You should also try making somaek which is soju and beer (get cass) mixed together.

If you order a la carte, it will be served unglazed. It was very good value for money and there were plenty of additional side dishes, so I was very satisfied. It can be said to be the best pork belly or grilled food around London. It's very crowded so be sure to make a reservation. However, because the raw meat was frozen, it was very disappointing that none of the people I went with were able to eat more than one chopstick.

Not traditional style Korean BBQ. It served half cooked meat to us, it's so weird! One more reason that I would not recommend because the staff always come to push us to finish ASAP as long queue outside..... Not only once, but pushed several time a during our dinner, very annoying. We finished in hurry less than 90 mins (from ordering). If the staff tell us the time limit when book table, we would turn to choose K-Town.

NOT RECOMMENDED. The worst experience ever. Why the meat we ordered are cooked when served? Supposed it should be Korean BBQ with raw meat! Started eating for only 20 mins and we were asked by the staff “please finish asap as there is a long queue outside!”

The best korean barbecue probably in the whole of the UK. Tasty food. Friendly staff. Clean. You won't leave still feeling hungry.

Korean bbq. This is next door from the butchers and having had the meat from there at home I can say the quality is top notch if a little pricy. The restaurant was busy but service was prompt. The nice touch is that you’re given grease proof paper in your bbq to avoid burning anything and the temperature is preset to cook slowly so you can leave most items in there without burning. Most of our meats were par cooked which was good as our bbq didn’t have enough heat to char the food as I’d normally like. The benefit of the setup is despite the number of bbq tables, you don’t leave the restaurant smelling of bbq and grease thankfully.

I stopped by for some lunch. I ordered LA galbi, green onion pancakes, stone pot bibimbap, cold noodles, and bibim cold noodles. Perhaps because it was lunch, it was quiet~ The friendly staff explained things nicely and served us hot tea as soon as we arrived~^^* I enjoyed the meal~ I will come often.

What a fiasco….We pre-booked the restaurant for six people for Sunday lunch 12:30 on the 12th March 2023. The lady who runs the restaurant took my booking face to face and assured me the table I asked for would be reserved. “No problem she said”. When we arrived on time however the table was allocated to another grp of guests, she said one of her staff had put customer on the table I requested. It’s a small restaurant and had me puzzled, as she was the one organising lunch sitting! She then offered to sit us upstairs, however the room was really cold and there was no one else in the there which felt lifeless. We then decided to sit on another table downstairs. Service was hap hazard in an otherwise busy restaurant, inexperienced staff and very confusing menu and an impatient manager…. Really poor experience and overpriced service… Very disappointed I would not recommend, too expensive as well. There are lots of better options in New Malden!
