Jenny’s Restaurants - Chessington in Kingston upon Thames

Went to pay for 2 drinks and plate of chips with beans, which was rung up @£12.50. Paid without scrutinising the credit card machine, and later saw I was charged £16. Update: changed rating on account of restaurants offer to set things straight. I didn't take it up, but appreciate the gesture.

No idea why these guys have any decent reviews. if you’re not a british person, you’ll probably hate everything they serve. I got served with what I could best describe as a “coffee flavoured boiled water”. Absolutely horrendous, also a rip off. Starbucks charges £2.80 for good quality coffee, these guys charged £3.60 for boiled water. 😂 wake up seriously…

The whole experience from start to finish was great, every time 😊 The staff members are very polite, friendly, professional, thoughtful, and they go above and beyond to ensure they provide high quality of service! The food is exceptional. It is soooooo tasty and well prepared and there are many menu options. I dine here often and I've tried many different dishes. Doesn't matter what I get, I end up loving it. The environment is clean and tidy. Legitimately the best cafe around. Five stars all the way ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Simply egg bacon sandwich no sauce is always a winner for me, and these guys are very friendly

Friendly and quick service. Hot chocolate tasted good. A nice touch that you get a complimentary biscuit with your hot drink! Food came out piping hot and decent portions. But unfortunately very limited and basic vegetarian options.

The cafe was decidedly chilly with a cold easterly wind blowing straight in the door. Although radiators were evident, none of them were on so consequently my large plate of food quickly got cold. The owner was probably nice and warm cooking on the hot plate but what about the customers?! Even the waitress said she was cold.

Came to eat first time and I can say an absolutely gem of a place lovely decorated and let’s came to the main event the food absolutely delicious and hot and even very good seasoned and lovely presentation I will definitely came back 10/10 ! Thanks guys really enjoyed cheers

Very good extensive menu with reasonable prices. Very busy and apparently giving priority to take away customers. Meals were good size but not terribly hot. Main negative was the noisy atmosphere and one person actually vaping unchallenged whilst waiting for service.

Waited ages for food to arrive! When it did half plate full of beans, extremely salty bacon, every item was burnt but undercooked definitely need to clean there equipment! Hash browns were gooey inside! Honestly these reviews on here are 100% fake or made up or everyone just has bad taste! Won’t be returning waste of money absolutely vile!

First time in here. Staff member rude when they brought the wrong order (one plate) to us (two of us) by curtly saying “Yes or no” and huffed off when asked if it was our order and my partner took 2-seconds to check what it was. It wasn’t our order, it was for another table. Prior to this they allowed an elder regular to freely push in front of her when ordering. 35-minutes of waiting and we’re still sat here as I write this. We got given our toast. They gave our order to a table of three that came in after us and apparently ordered the same thing. The two teas came after 40-mins. If we hadn’t paid up front we’d have gone a long time ago. I was to give one-star but the chef was not impressed with the error by the waiting staff when he realised. He brought us two free teas and got on the breakfast straight away when he discovered the mistake. Credit to him and apologies to him for this review. I recognise this is out of his hands. Communication is very poor between serving staff. It’s a shame as an experience because I won’t come back.

Great cafe, clean, good sized portions, excellent service, great range and keenly priced. I had a classic cooked breakfast, it was just what I had hoped for. My partner had a jacket potato that looked great, it even came with salad. I would recommend if you want traditional cafe experience.

Asked for bacon roll I got a rice crispy and a pencil

Very cheap good food frienly service

I’ve just been into JENNY‘s CAFE Sat 4th Sept at 13.15, sat there for quite awhile, The 2 So-called waitresses cleaning tables and Serving People that came in After me. they were oblivious of me being there although I kept looking for them to come and take my order. No skin off my nose. I used to go in there often, NOT NO MORE.

Food ok, little slow service but we weren't in any rush.

It is not bad, but the staff could really improve their customer service. Not every customer will care how busy you are, your customer service is something which represents the whole place at the end of the day, this is vital if you want a customer to return again. Asked the man who works there something he did not even look at me he just stared into abyss, the female there who was serving us the best thing she had done was bring the order, the rest..not sure where the customer service went there. Food is alright, like any cafe. Don't get their paninis.

Most cafés are judged by there tea and im afraid I had a mug of hot milk left tea bag in and still wasn't drinkable when I had finished as far as the breakfast was concerned the baked beans were cold but the rest was decent wouldn't return

Tasty food, bright and happy atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. Definitely recommend this cafe. I visited recently with my daughter and we sat behind COVID secure screens. Our order was taken at the table and the food took about 10/15 minutes to arrive. The café was busy even with following social distancing guidelines, which made it a vibrant experience, and my daughter and I had a great time.

Brilliant cafe just down the road from Chessington world of adventures. If like us you are staying at travel lodge a short drive away, it's worth giving the hotel breakfast a miss and stopping in at jenny's. Much better value and quality. Good free parking close by.

Always a good breakfast in here but prices go up every time I'm there.. £6 to £6.50 is starting to get a bit steep. All drinks you end up paying for on top of that ont coffee included with the breakfast but presented nicely and the cafe is usually clean but floor could do with a mop

Just updated to be more covid friendly (been coming here for years), already a great place to eat and they added a few new exciting items to the menu too, the Eggs Royale was amazing!

I was here 2 times . The same as usual really unexperienced waitresses. No table with sauces and the food really bland .

Well done for being open, went to two fish and chip shops nearby - both closed, before I found this cafe doing take away. Very friendly, good portions, will definitely be back for takeaway and look forward to eating my way through the menu...
