Travellers Pub in Barnsley

My wife and I had a superb Sunday Lunch here today. I love this pub. Everything is good. The beer, the service, the food, and the ambience are all top class. Will always come back.

On Sunday 27th October we had my mothers 100th birthday family party. There was 25 of us for Sunday lunch, the meals were wonderful enjoyed by everyone of us. Everything was hot and with loads of vegetables served in side dishes. Lauren and her staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Not only dealing with our party they were serving other customers too. Well done we definitely recommend the Travellers Inn and will be returning soon.

I’ve just visited this pub for the first time. I’m gob smacked with the quality of everything, the beer and food is lovely, staff are friendly and helpful and I have to say this is probably one of the most glorious beer gardens I’ve ever been in! Cannot fault the place and will definitely be coming back

Very ordinary food, powdered custard with dessert. It's not somewhere I would return to in a hurry. The pub is not dog friendly, however when the beer garden is open in summer and they are allowed in then.

A lovely welcoming pub for lunch. The food was really good and homecooked. There were some lovely traditional choices on the menu like pork roast dinner and mince and onion pie. And puddings like syrup sponge and custard. To add to this was the fact that it was great value for money too. We all came away full and smiling 😃

Fabulous lunchtime meal. Our first visit and I can't really fault the pub in any way. Very friendly welcome and service, spotless interior nicely decorated for Chrismas. Excellent food with mostly home cooked traditional dishes. 2 courses for under £11 with an extra £4.50 for a pudding, is amazing value for money. Just a shame there is nothing like it near home. We now just need to find an excuse to call again.

Visited on my wife's birthday today. Had a wonderful two course meal and drank excellent beer. Service was excellent and all at a reasonable price.

A menudo pop hasta disfrutar de una comida de 2 platos entre 5-7 pm ya que tienen un excelente menú ( 4 o 5 opciones) y todo por menos de 10 libras. Las tartas son siempre perfecto, todo es casera y no hemos tenido una mala comida. Los buenos anfitriones, se lo recomiendo si lo que quieres es una antigua comida casera de enormes proporciones.

I have eaten at the Travellers on a few occasions when visiting family in Barnsley and the food has always been well prepared, home cooked and delicious. on this occasion 13 of us descended on the pub at relatively short notice on a Friday night. Despite this the staff weren't phased and having spent a pleasant hour in the beer garden enjoying some of the excellent beers we moved into the dining room where the food was piping hot, generously portioned and excellent as always. add to this a waitress who's personality just shone through and all in all we had a perfect finish to a long and emotional day. We'll be back and I'll be having the lamb shank again!!

Everything was first class from start to finish,we were made welcome .given good service with friendly staff and the food was delicious and plentiful.

Nos visita a menudo, cuando tenemos amigos o familia con nosotros. La comida es excelente ... Y la lasaña vegetariana, con ensaladas y platos riquísimos patatas fritas pasado prueba del sabor de nuestra hija magdalena con gran éxito! La acogida es amable y el servicio es bueno, usted debe ser paciente cuando los viajeros es concurrida, ya que la comida está recién preparada ... Pero la comida vale la pena el tiempo de espera.

Hemos estado aquí unas cuantas veces, probar el domingo tradicional para llevar así como llamar para el almuerzo rara sandwich de tiempo, etc. - como tal creo que puedo comentar pase bastante.

Nos hemos asistido a este lugar para el almuerzo de domingo en varias ocasiones. Hay una buena selección y la comida es servido caliente y hay un montón de cosas. La gerencia y el personal es muy amable y servicial. Muy recomendable.Nos presentaron a unos amigos nuestros y cuando nos encontramos con estos amigos el único lugar que visitar es los viajeros

Hemos comido aquí durante la semana y para el almuerzo de domingo. Reservamos para el domingo y contentos de hacerlo. Las comidas son preparadas, con mucha variedad y muy sabroso. La gerencia y el personal son locales y amable. Jardín de la cerveza tiene unas vistas preciosas. En el invierno cuenta con una chimenea encendida. Simplemente encantador. ¡Volveremos!

Llamado última noche de comida rápida, dos campos £8,95 , todo casero y gran sabor y carne picada tarta n chips, atún pasta hornear n ensalada, luego treacle pud n pastel de manzana, muy alta calidad y buen servicio. Tras la decepción en Valle Dodworth semana pasada este lugar es calles con antelación. Llamamos a las 17.30 pm y ya nos fuimos estaba muy concurrido, así que puede que valga la pena. excelentes cervezas de barril y una buena selección de vinos. Me encanta este lugar es un pub con un buen ambiente, jardín de cerveza en la parte de atrás. Justo lo que necesitas en una noche de verano.

Three of us recently visited the travellers Rest for lunch. The choice and quality of food was good. There were stunning views from the beer garden and the hosting was excellent.

Just had a meal here and what can I say.....good home cooked food piping hot and plenty of it. We ate off the specials 2 course for £8.95 bargin. Lovely landlord Tony and Sharron

Hemos comido aquí por unos cuantos años y los altos niveles que nunca han decrecido. El personal es amable y eficiente, a juzgar exactamente la cantidad justa de tiempo entre campos. La comida es deliciosa (no la basura plástico ofrecidos por algunos de los carveries en la zona) y es casero, pero los precios son muy bajos en comparación con la mayoría de los lugares. Siempre vale la pena una visita.

Lovely pub ,great food, good value for money, all staff excellent. One of the best pubs in Barnsley serving traditional pub food. You dont need to go anywhere else. Proper chips !

Great value food in a friendly atmosphere. Cannot fault the food served here, traditional menu with old fashioned favourites like treacle sponge, and jam roly poly. Homecooked meals with proper chips!
